Great spot. Pizza was fantastic, the dough is perfection. We’re able to stop in on Saturday afternoon without a reservation. Very friendly owners who put a lot of passion and love into their business.

Absolutely amazing experience, people who are literally from the south if Italy aiming to make an amazing experience down here in Brooklyn. Bringing a great service and complimentary espressos with fantastic pizza and pasta. This family is no joke. Must try and brand new hidden gem. The best pizza I ever had in williamsburg

A great local spot! Under new ownership in the last few months. Has a pizza oven with fantastic pizzas. Pasta all fresh and made in house. Complimentary starter platter which was delicious. Good value and lovely hospitality!

Warm & Authentic Absolutely amazing! The food tastes like true Italian home-cooking. The pizza is perfectly crispy with the freshest ingredients, and every dish is full of flavor. The staff is welcoming, the service is fast, and the atmosphere makes you feel like family. Easily a 5-star experience!

Had a delicious meal here. The flavor of their tomato sauce especially stood out. We ordered one of their pastas and pizzas and they were both fantastic. The relaxed atmosphere and service were also excellent. Highly recommend!

My friends and I spent almost 5 hours just laughing and talking here! Elvis and his brother have done such a great job in bringing a true Italian ambiance to Williamsburg. Espresso and limoncello were top!

The tomato sauce really sets this place apart from other pizza joints in the neighborhood. It’s rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced with just the right amount of sweetness and tang. You can tell it’s made from fresh ingredients. The crust was perfectly cooked. It was light and crispy. I can’t wait to try more items on the menu!

We went with a large party and they were super accommodating. Food was amazing and the atmosphere was also great. I challenge you to find me a family owned/run like Bacan, the son is the chef, the son is the waiter, the mom and dad hosting. Great people and very welcoming, a true gift from Sicily.

The new Bacan that just reopened is amazing! Dennis and Elvis are the sweetest brothers and have so much passion for Sicilian food. Best Neapolitan style pizza I’ve had in the neighborhood, made from scratch with ingredients imported from Italy. We didn’t get to try the pastas or the pistachio dessert but on our list for next time.

Food was delicious and affordable! Good portions, and a great cocktail/wine selection. Cozy, authentic Italian atmosphere. Staff was very kind, social, and also good looking! Perfect for a casual week day or relaxed weekend dinner or pre-outing drinks. Will definitely be coming back!

We stopped in after my daughters class for a quick bite. Very kind and welcoming staff. We had the Modern Caprese salad and the Rosso Bacan (spaghetti/tomato sauce). Both were excellent . The bread/olive oil/cheese served before the meal was all very good, too. I'll definitely go back to try other items. I hope the business does well. Good food and a nice staff is a good start.

Amazing food and the friendliest staff! They made great recommendations for my partner (vegetarian) and me (the omnivore). The wine by the glass selection is incredible too - they were nice enough to let us try a little bit of each as a little tasting! Make sure to save room for dessert.

Second time dining here. Impressive authentic-style Italian with an amazing selection of cocktails and nice wines. Very reasonably priced compared to other restaurants in the area. Better cicchetti than Venice itself. Loved the Rigatoni pasta with nduja. Super friendly staff and nice vibes. Great place to bring my Italian friends when they visit or when us expats are craving good Italian. Will be back.

Real cute Italian spot in Williamsburg, thoughtfully decorated, very charming and modern. They served us a phenomenal Aperol Spritz, which is extremely rare in NYC! I really enjoyed the burrata with speck, it was super fresh and silky, and the pickles were quite the nice addition. The tomato sauce on the pappardelle was really flavorful, but the star of our lunch was the pici with pesto, absolutely delightful. The owner Nico also prepared for us a sample board with cicchetti which featured some very tasty sarde (the peppers were a real nice touch). Service was polite, courteous and attentive. I’m definitely going back for more cicchetti and I’ll be trying the desserts next time!

Bacan had become a mainstay for my family! The service and food are impeccable! I had a private party here as well and the amount of food that was provided was unreal! All of my guests felt loved and enjoyed EVERYTHING!

The terrible service was saved by the really delicious food. Rude staff that were just talking amongst themselves while customers were waiting. The food was great, we ordered the Caesar salad and the meatballs. Caesar salad had an amazing crunch to it with a fantastic and homemade Caesar dressing. The meatballs were meaty, well balanced, and were served with an amazing tomato sauce.

There is nothing wrong with Bacan, you can feel there is a lot of good intentions behind the restaurant, it just somehow feels a little chaotic. Service was friendly from the start, the waitress was helpful in navigating the different options and we ordered a lot of small plates. Decoration is minimal with mostly white walls and a few posters. The tables are too small to accommodate both serving plates, wine, water and the dishes. And since they tend to bring everything at the same time, it quickly becomes awkward to eat as you manage table real estate. The standout dish was the fritto misto: it came out piping hot, well seasoned and one the best batter we have eaten all year. Bravo 👏 The suppli came in lukewarm which somehow tampered our enthusiasm for the dish but the taste was really good. Both the chicory salad and the agridolce toast were beautifully paired, the taste was awesome in both cases. Overall, good price/quality ratio on food. Service was somehow chaotic, different people serving us felt a little impersonal, dishes coming all at the same time and too small of a table. Still positive but room for improvement to smooth out the service. Personnel seemed completely overwhelmed. Recommended if you are in the area. P.S.: please leave a 👍 if you found this review helpful in directing your choices, thank you 🙏

Good not great. Cool atmosphere / beautiful space, and the outdoor people watching is great. Service was very slow. The food was solid, but almost every dish had something missing (1. burrata was delicious but the bread was very subpar, 2. the Caesar salad lettuce and dressing were good but it was 95% big lettuce pieces, 3. the Pici was unique but the pesto lacked a little flavor). Would go back for a casual drink and a snack, but wouldn’t recommend for a group/special occasion.

Had a terrible experience getting drinks here. The restaurant was completely empty when we arrived at 4:15 but the vibe was festive and warm, so we decided to give it a try. We ordered drinks and my friend’s Aperol spritz arrived completely flat and with way too much Aperol in it— it was beet red. She very politely mentioned that it was flat to the bartender/waiter and asked if he could make it again because it wasn’t fizzy at all (one could tell from a cursory glance that this was the case) and he said “it is fizzy. I used carbonated water” and proceeded to argue with her about how it is actually fizzy. He also asked her who is going to drink this drink if he makes her a different drink? Uh, no one? It’s a syrupy flat glass of aperol and water. He was so weirdly defensive and accusatory that it put us off completely and we decided to leave without ordering a replacement. As we were leaving we heard him talking to the other person working there saying “it’s an Aperol spritz” like he needed to continue to defend it. In summary, it sucked and really left a bad taste in our mouth both literally and figuratively.
