Clara's Brooklyn Reviews
This place was great. Great beers and great service. The bartender was exceptional and very attentive. They played the football match I wanted to watch and made sure my time here was very welcome. Will come again!
Great place to have some drinks and buffalo wings. The burgers are so good as well.
Clara’s is the besttttt! Me and my husband go all the time for multiple events (busy sports nights or a casual night out) and no matter how busy they are, they always take care of us. It could be blasted busy and Sophie will always make sure we’re taken care of. The food is so freaking good it’s an insult to call it bar food. Our favorite Bushwick dive bar for life :)
Always great vibes, trivia is so fun — Sophie and Joel are the best!!
Place is amazing. So cool how they gave new meaning to darren McFadden and heian winner Charles Woodson. Tip well!
Super fun spot for drinks and games! Catie makes a killer margarita and is charming and delightful. Definitely making this place a regular spot!
This was such a refreshing experience, the food is extremely good and the staff is super nice. Eric the manager made sure we had everything we needed. Chicken sandwich was brined to perfection and they have some great beers on tap. Lots of room to watch the game and plenty of big screens, will be returning frequently!
Clara’s was the perfect spot for our engagement celebration! Between the pool table, delicious food and great drinks - ourselves and our friends had an amazing night. Special shout out the to manager who made sure us as the engaged couple were well taken care of!! Would definitely recommend for anyone looking to have a good night in the Brooklyn area.
Been here a couple Mondays and Sundays for football, the bartender with the tattoos plays the best music and made sure we were taken care of while we were sitting on the couch. She definitely knew how to create a vibe. Will be coming back for karaoke and more football!
Came in to watch the Yankees game the other day expecting it to be crazy busy since it’s the only true sports bar in bushwick. Was pleasantly surprised at the vibe of the bar. Great service, one of the bartenders Sophie was very friendly and kept my drinks refilled even though it was busy. Definitely the place to watch any game in bushwick.
AWESOME DELCIIOUS HAMBURGERS AND SWEET POTATO FRIES! How did it take me so long to come here? I used to work at a dive bar where the owner slandered Clara’s constantly. But I quit that place, and boy am I glad I finally made the pilgrimage (3 blocks) to this place where food is served until like 3am or something like that. The sweet potato fries have sprigs of rosemary in them, the cheeseburger succulent and the room full of cheer.
The service here is truly immaculate. Went last night to play pool with some friends, and the pool cues were missing tips. Doesn't bother me, I'm used to playing with bad sticks at dive bars. A bartender (I believe named Sophie) questioned us while we were looking at the pool cues and sent someone to the basement to get us brand new sticks. Didn't even ask for it. Another bartender, Quinn, was absolutely on top of the drink orders, rarely needed to go to the bar - a rarity at dives. Solid staff, fun joint, cheap drinks, 10/10 recommend.
I’ve been coming to Clara’s in Brooklyn for about seven years now, and it continues to be one of my favorite spots. As a Brooklyn native, born and raised, I can honestly say this place has excellent bar food… Some of the best around. I barely even drink, but I still love coming here just for the food and the low-key, welcoming vibe. Everything I’ve tried over the years has been consistently good, so shout out to the people back there cooking! On my most recent visit, the experience was truly exceptional thanks to our waiter, Quinn. He was upbeat, bubbly, personable, and funny — the kind of service that makes you feel right at home. His energy made the night memorable and reminded me why I keep coming back. After this visit, I know I’ll be coming more often (it’s been 5 months since my last visit). Hopefully Quinn gets the recognition he deserves and if we’re luckily he’ll be working next time I’m there.
Looked for a place to watch the game and have a bite to eat. The food was good and the servers were friendly. I stayed for awhile and it definitely got super busy but I was still able to order and not wait.
HUGE shout out to their Bartender, Corbin. He serves face AND beer! This guy is one of the best in the biz! I’ve never had the food here but the drinks, atmosphere, and hours of operation are exactly what I look for! HIGHLY recommend.
Tried this spot for the first time last night and loved it. I got the beyond burger and old bay fries. I love that they have vegetarian options and that the kitchen is open late. Server was super friendly
This is one of our favorite bars in this neighborhood! Everyone here is so friendly and nice especially the owner Eric! We love to hang out here and having great company. Other than that, food here is AMAZING! We tried many items and they are all delicious! Chicken Sandwich is their signature dish. Wings are great. Yesterday we had the mussels on their special, mind brown. No wonder Clara's has a lot of regular customers. 5 stars from us!
Clara’s is an awesome spot for beer, wings, quesadilla and some fried pickles on the side. Always solid food, better than average. Drinks are well priced but stick to the beer and simple mixed drinks - the cocktails aren’t the best. The vibe is great though, tons of seating, and they play sports when it’s on. Only gets crazy during big games, otherwise a relaxed spot to get some food and beers. Solid spot that’s in my rotation of local bars/food. They also deliver late!!
By far one of the best places to visit in the neighborhood whether you’re looking for food, drinks, wings, or any type of sporting event. Allison and Jess are always on point as bartenders they keep us coming back! Eric the owner is an all around hands on owner who’s down to earth and keeps people wanting to come back. Do yourself a favor and get some wings and watch some sports here!
The Nashville hot sandwich that I got was extremely spicy. I’ve been on the toilet all day not sure if it’s supposed to be that hot but I didn’t really care for it. They did not ask me if I wanted something else plus this place is very expensive $60 plus tip for two Guinness, calamari and a sandwich. I wasn’t feeling that
Maybe I didn't give it enough of a chance, but the staff was inattentive, at best... it wasn't even that late on a Sunday evening. Granted, it's Labor Day weekend, but how do you serve a pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw on the side, and not bring a fork?! When I asked for silverware, I was eventually, tardily, and (IMO) reluctantly provided one of those sad cafeteria-style plastic fork, knife, and spoon combo wrapped in plastic with salt, pepper, and a damp napkin (not to be confused with a moist towlette). Place did have a bunch of large screen TVs and a pool table in the back. Cute commie sticker in the bathroom (see attached).
I feel bad having to give this place such a bad review because the food is genuinely really good, but we had such a bad experience with the service I just have to. My friends and I went to watch the Superbowl 2026, and arrived early to make sure we got a table. There were 6 of us. We all ordered food, and multiple drinks. Though, my boyfriend cannot drink alcohol due to a medical condition. When he ordered a coke, the waitress said he had to order alcohol or we would have to lose the table. When we said he doesn't drink, she said "the owner expects to make a certain amount of money from these tables so you need to be drinking" She said this after we had all ordered food and everyone else was drinking alcohol. With 6 of us, they were absolutely going to make a good amount of money from our table even with my boyfriend wanting to drink coke. I had to tell her "I will just drink extra" for her to let us stay at the table. The rest of the night, we felt very pressured to be constantly ordering things as she kept hovering. At one point, my two friends left their half eaten buffalo mac n' cheeses(that they were planning on taking home) to go to the bathroom and she came over and started cleaning them up. Even putting dirty napkins from the table into them. When we told her they weren't done with them, she said "well I've been eyeing them for a few hours so I didn't think so" The food was on the table for 45 minutes a most, they were waiting for an opportunity to ask for to-go boxes. In the end, the food is really good but I don't really think I'll return after this whole experience.
