Errol's Caribbean Delights Brooklyn Reviews
The fish patty was delicious. Perfectly seasoned with tasty flaky crust
Yummy and Tasty. Great customer 👌 service. Always pleasant.
Ordered oxtails. Oxtails were lean, nice with a VERY LOW percentage of fat. My server was Excellent, dynamic customer service. I actually returned the following day and repeated my order
ordered the curry goat after some stumbling with the menu - there aren't labels describing what everything is, so i had to ask the person at the counter to help me with the names of all the dishes. ultimately happy with my order as i barely had any bones with my proteins and the curry was seasoned very well. my only ding would be that the rice and peas didn't taste much like anything, but that might have been because the curry was that much more flavorful. there is indoor seating!
This is my first time coming to this place but it was great. Initially I was just looking for something sweet and the cheesecake winked at me. It was delicious and a good portion size to share with someone. I good what I call a salmon empanada but I’m sure that’s not the proper name, I just can’t remember what was it. I’ll be trying out more of their offer in the future. They also have contactless pay what makes it convenient and safe for everyone.
Unfortunately despite the great taste of the Roti and oxtail I had, I guess because it had been sitting out for a long time after eating me and my some of my friends got food poisoning. So my advice do not order toward the end of their day or if the food looks kinda dry
Great food usually but awful service tonight. I went in today to order the chicken soup and told the lady I wanted one potato and one dumpling. She asks me several times about my order and had a nasty attitude but I was still gracious and said thank you. When she asked me the specifics of my meal order she had an attitude and made fun of me with her male coworker. They both giggled in the kitchen after speaking with me. He spoke a bit harshly to me as well. I still said thank you but when I got home I noticed that my soup is full of potatoes. This feels intentional and what has led me to write this review. I will no longer be going into this establishment but I encourage you all to order delivery! The food is great, just my soup was unenjoyable.
Went for the patties- shouldn't have. I knew upon sniffing the beef pattie that it was wrong - I grew up eating Jamaican patties and they NEVER smelled like these (had I gotten a whiff beforehand, I wouldn't have bothered). The crust used had not one iota of the fragrance of pattie crust. My friend urged me to taste, so I did - no flavor. In a beef pattie. I was shocked - total waste of time and money. My search for great Jamaican patties in Brooklyn continues - cuz they ain'tat Errol's.
Ordered the patties. Crumbly and no favor...the meat was interesting. Oxtail was not all that tender and just okay. Wouldn't return. Sorry.
This def used to be my spot last year. Went in today to cheat myself and completely wasted the $35 I spent. Whoever made the food today needs to never enter the kitchen. Everything tasted burnt, everything. Smh, such a waste
Worst oxtail of my life. It was so hard and tasted funny like not like beef smh idk. It led me down this rabbit hole … aparently some people are serving something else and calling it oxtail. Idk man it tasted weird and I’m Caribbean it didn’t taste like beef and it was so tough mind you got it and it end of the night it was basically the last serving so why would it be tough and gamey tasting? I had to throw it out waste of 20$ …. Mind you I walked all the way down from cj’s out of my way to try this spot I should’ve just stuck with my gut and just got it from there because it’s actually tender and COW.. If I get food especially Caribbean food that’s about 1-2 meals for me , In this economy I don’t have time to be playing with my money. Not even my friend wanted to eat it and I would even try giving it to my dog.
Bought a fish soup that was half oil half water which tasted like water. I called to inform them that the soup was watery & no good & the woman who answered just said I’m sorry. After the soup sat for 3 hours after a nap. I went back to it & saw a third of it had oil sitting on the top. that was surprising because soup usually doesn’t have oil sitting so heavily. upon calling back to let them know this & wanting to bring it to show them, I was met with disrespect saying once I walk out with food there is no return on it. I’m said, “even if the food being served is no good?“ I was expecting a level of curiosity atleast from them to say bring it let me see or something. Instead she said … “once you walk out that it’s. & u called from this morning So either way u can’t bring it back. We don’t accept food back! So I was expected to go drink oily watery soup. Then once I said the Soup was oily she responded. It’s salmon and it’s tea not soup which clearly the menu said fish soup . I bought the soup around 11 am shouldn’t go bad by 3 pm. I would advice to not to buy food from here if your looking for quality food & service. If you’re into watery and oily soup, this is the place to go.
