There is a great bartender named Tom who is hysterical. He adds character to the place. Very reasonably priced drinks. No pretensions in this bar. Tom is only on on Tuesdays

D
Daniel Lowenthal

This has been our local haunt for many years. From the moment you walk in, there is an aura of comfort, familiarity, and home that encourages you to stay for hours on end. Tom is a friendly bear who's been taking care of us for years. Cheers to Floyd's, now and forever.

J

If you're looking for a super-casual bar in this area, Floyd is a good one. The drinks selection is standard. And of course, they have bocce.

T
TheMalchikjae

Awesome, low key place to have a few drinks and (GASP) a conversation. Staff is lovely and the prices reasonable.

k

Great place to watch my favorite soccer matches and I like how friendly the staff is here. Specially Vanessa she’s the best. I would definitely keep coming back. Thank you

D
Devin Coleman

Floyd is a great divey bar but, more importantly, Jimmy is the greatest bartender on this planet. Treat him with love and respect.

J
Jonathan Saltzman

One of my favorite bars in the area. The bocce ball is fun, prices are good, and the feel of the bar is great as well.

K
Kara Kai

Good bar for team drinks post-soccer, although sometimes the music is too loud. Thank you for your service, Floyd.

G
Greg Smyth

You had me at “indoor bocce ball”. Can’t count the number of times I’ve been here with friends - it’s great to just grab some beers and play some bocce

S
Sean Stapleton

They have set up a comfortable spot outside on Atlantic Ave. Great for a quick drink and a slice as you walk up the ave.

C
Christopher H.

Fantastic dive bar. They have $15 dollar buckets of pretty low end beers, but perfect after a game of soccer played down on the pier. They have a few drop down screen tvs, indoor bocce, and plenty of couches, and seats.

Z
Zee Bee

An awesome, chill bar. Bartenders Renee and Jenaea are honestly the best. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Giant screen in the back is perfect to watch your favorite sporting events. And the drinks are decently priced, definitely coming back here!

K
Kyle Harder

This is my Brooklyn "Cheers" except there is a different bartender every time I've been so no one knows my name... yet. I've been here 20+ times now and have felt welcomed. Good service + good tap beer + casual atmosphere enables a great vibe here. Couches for chilling. Kentucky ownership is reflected in nuances. Love it.

E

This might be my new favorite bar. 1. Bocce ball. Love it 2. Kinda dive-y but still a nice place with cool antique decor 3. Super comfy antique couches. 4. Not terribly busy

A
Adam Nguyen

It's a dive bar with good service, ample seating, and bocce. Attracts a diverse crowd, it's a great mixing bowl of the area. Prices are decent.

M

I Hosted a party here. The bartenders were very nice and did a great job. We were in great hands. Great atmosphere, a lot of seating, and a large venue. Highly recommend Floyd!

A
Alex Walkowski

Terrific bare bones dive bar in BK heights. Crowd was pretty diverse and lots of nice places to sit. Bartender was great and stuck with us through tins of dumb questions, was definitely a trooper. Super cheap prices too. 3 Wells and a Marg came out to $30. Wow!

Flyod has been my neighborhood go-to for the last 3.5 years in the area. It only just get better. The atmosphere for football ⚽️, specifically the English premier league (soccer) is ridiculous. If you want to watch a big match arrive EARLY! It's a big space with three TVs but it gets full!

Whitney Sederberg

Not gonna lie, we fell in love with Floyd. We definitely went off peak, and at 1am most nights, but free Bocce, great beers and loads of space? Honestly this has your favourite local written all over it.

As timeless as Tina Turner singing “simply the best.” Grab a $5 beer and make yourself at home.

Great bar and amazing spot to watch premier league. football. One of the best soccer bars in the city. Stop by to watch Liverpool, Newcastle, Manchester City, etc. Get an Irish coffee because they open early at 10am. If you're looking for a soccer bar, this is a soccer bar.

Nick Bauer-Levey
Nick Bauer-Levey

Great mid sized bar. Pub/dive atmosphere. Some couch areas, lots of standing room, and a single bocce ball lane. They also allow you to order food into the bar which is great. The people are usually quite mixed from younger to older, good vibe either way. (One time I went to a wedding after party here and it was maybe the most fun wedding I've been to, don't advise bringing all the floral arrangements though, the bartenders didn't like that)

James Bradley
James Bradley

Generally quiet, unassuming bar which lets you bring your own food. There are several comfortable couches, small TVs (with no sound) to watch popular games, and a shuffleboard court. The drinks are fairly standard but well priced for NYC. The magic is in the bartenders. They're wonderful and considerate, especially for larger groups. I would recommend for a quiet drink with a few close friends.

Anumit Sasidharan
Anumit Sasidharan

Really interesting bar with a big bocce court in the middle.

Earl Co
Earl Co

Great bar, lots of space, great prices! They let you bring your own food as they don't serve any. There's a giant bocce ball court/field? area taking up 50% of the patron floor space, so it seems like it never gets too packed and there's lots of room to stretch out.

D
David Wolkofsky

Bocci is nice. Some cute girls, otherwise it's a bar.

N
NORE LELAY

If you wanna low key Chill. This is definitely a great Spot to go to.

S

Great dive with affordable beers, buckets and bocce!

F

Good selection of beers, comfortable couches, bocce.

S

Respectable watering hole. Nice that they have a bocce court, although it's not exactly well maintained.

C
Chuck Kelly

Great, low key spot to have beers and play bocce after exploring Brooklyn Bridge Park

F

Good bar with bocci and games. You can bring in food or get it delivered.

Grear bar for BK. Seating is great. Drinks are okay.

J

Good locals bar - decent selection and not expensive! Bochi is good fun but always being used!

C
Chantel Figueroa

Fun casual spot. No food but at least they have Bocce ball and people are cool

G

Nice bar with good atmosphere and selection of beers. Friendly staff.

Comfy bar with couches and good beer. Good place to order a pizza and hang out with some friends.

Awesome to have the bocce court inside. Other Half on tap

R

This was a great spot for after work. The bartender had the perfect hand at mixing drinks.

Z

Floyd was one of my hangout spots during law school, and I still go back here for a drink when I'm in the area. It's a nice neighborhood bar that's dog friendly and has a nice casual relaxed vibe. You can BYOF or order from the ton of delivery menus they have; I usually go next door to Chip Shop and get something to go. The staff is great and the jukebox is decent; it does get super busy/crowded here on Thursdays if one of the law school groups are having an event here.

M
Maxime Savage

Fun space with a great bocce ball court. Drinks are reasonably priced, perfect to round up the night after an afternoon on the pier.

A
Adam Corrigan

Cool late night spot with Baci Ball. The music could have been better and louder. Beer selection was decent. I'll go back and give it a second shot.

The original bar with a bocce court! This is a great place to catch a soccer game or the World Cup, or if you’re a Spurs fan, watch all the games here.

C
Cary Shapiro

Jukebox and sound system kind of stink. I go to last exit for music. Still have fun at floyd though. Update: Last Exit is closed, so this is my go to place in the neighborhood. Prices have recently gone up, but it's still a fun place to hang out.

T

Dependable nightlife hangout that’s particularly friendly with local students, ideal for chilling with friends on off-hours but can get pretty packed otherwise. Bartenders are friendly.

Kind of small but great cozy place for laid back drinks with a few friends. Drinks are super cheap as well

Dim and relaxed atmosphere with affordable prices, great lounge areas for groups, and bocce ball for entertainment.

C

Good drink prices not too bro-y a crowd and they got bocce!

L

Good bar. Has a decent beer selection. Really liked the chill atmosphere on the late Thursday night I went. The sofas on the sitting area are pretty cozy and give the place good character.

R
Ross Smith

Amazing little bocce bar with great beers on tap and a great atmoshpere

J

Ended up here after a more formal work party and it turned out to be a perfect place to rounds out the night. Good combo of price ands selection, and lots of couches to lounge around with friends in the event that you don't feel like playing bocce.

A
Albert Oeswadi

Came in for a birthday party on a Saturday afternoon. The beer selection was decent - a mix of mainstream and craft beers. They also had good drink specials that seem to be available at all times. The beer cheese was okay - fridged, doesnt seem to be freshly made. The bocce court offers a fun distraction, especially when you are out with a bunch of friends. I also love the big space with the old timey furnitures. Overall, a return is in order!

M
Matt Meany

Really cool spot. Dim lit, John Wayne movies on TV, an INDOOR bocce court, plenty of couches and chairs to converse on. Bartender when I was there was pretty cool. They have wifi (password is behind the bar on the mirror). Both bathrooms were well kept and spacious.

C

This place is in my neighborhood. It's a great place. If you don't mind being around a lot of college kids from Pace University then you might like this place a lot. They do have a bocce ball court which is awesome

Andrew Dooling

Overall really fun time here. Watched game one of the world series. Atmosphere from fans was awesome, just got really crowded and hard to move around. Drinks were good.

Mike Kaiserian
Mike Kaiserian

It's fine. Prices are a little high for the dive bar that it is. Not sure if it is just a result of the large group that I come in with, but it seems like the bartenders really hate that we are there. We are courteous tippers, so that's not the issue either. Oh well. They have a bocce court in the back.

J MS (Celestine TLS)
J MS (Celestine TLS)

Chilled local bar which shows sports on a big screen at the back. Small selection of draught beers and the usual selection of spirits. Most importantly it has a bocce pitch stretching down the bar. A number of leagues play here.

R
Ronan Blackbird

Decent pub, average drinks though! A bit dingy but you can certainly come here for post uni drinks!

C
Charles Diamond

It's a bar. It's fine. Bocce is nice, but it's always kinda douchey here

D
Dan Jay

Bocci is fun, though the court is old. The beer selections are a bit limited, and the crowd can get a little bro-y. Still, nice place to drink with a group.

D
David Floyd

Fun atmosphere with great music, ample seating and a bocce ball court. Staff are apathetic and drive business away.

D
Derrick Pasley

Has seating but no real food. Bocce ball is fun though. But no food to go with the alcohol.

M
Meg Freeland

A great neighborhood spot for beer and indoor bocce! If it sounds kitschy and 100% Brooklyn, that's because it is. Full of neighborhood characters, well worn overstuffed couches and low on attitude, it's a great place for a weeknight after work drink

A
Alicia Cheng

2nd year in a row for our office holiday gathering. I like the size of the place and the cozy sofas and tables. Service was so so. The bartender lady was kind of rude when i didn't know what drink i wanted.

Dustin Webster
Dustin Webster

Floyd is a perfectly decent neighborhood dive. The service is good, and they do a great 2 for 1 happy hour. The beer selection is nothing special, but the place is much larger than it looks form the outside, and it actually has a bocce court inside which is cool. Pretty standard bar, but good place to stop in fora quick drink.

Megan Lang
Megan Lang

Floyd is a nice enough space with a very rude bartender who made us feel quite unwelcome. Reading through the reviews now I can see we’re not the only ones! Would suggest considering elsewhere.

T
Thomas Montalbano

The brunette bartender had to be one of the most disrespectful people I’ve ever met. After making my friend feel belittled about asking a question about a drink, she proceeded to take everyone in my groups order except mine, looks me in the eye, and proceedes to take a person across the bar’s order know for sure I had been sitting there. When I asked why she clearly did this on purpose, she responds “He comes here all the time and I can take whoever’s order I want. Also, I don’t need to explain anything to you”. What kind of response is that? They then proceeded to charge my friend twice for a beer, and claimed it never “went through there system” despite appearing TWICE on her bank statement, and then had the nerve to make her pay cash; and essentially paying for 3 beers when she ordered a single beer. This place is a joke. If you value good service at all, go somewhere else.

A
Alesya Zh

Staff would not let us stay inside and play bocce because we did not have proof of vaccination even though we were wearing masks. Discrimination!

Bridgette Wheatley
Bridgette Wheatley

Bar tender is a horrible person, we waiting for Floyd’s to open because we heard it was iconic & told her we waited and said ‘wow what a wonderful thing to open the doors to….’ and kicked us out when there was ZERO people there …. Not a great look for the business at all. Would have spent $400 all night but not because of her - get better staff

mehmet vecet

cocktail was good but bartender was terrible. Even when I just asked for a straw she responded very rudely.

Fikriye

I had a terrible experience at this bar due to the rude bartender. From the moment I walked in, the bartender was unfriendly and dismissive. They made me feel unwelcome and seemed annoyed whenever I tried to order a drink. Customer service is crucial in the hospitality industry, and this place seriously lacks it. I won't be coming back and wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for a pleasant night out.

Daniella Truong
Daniella Truong

The bar had toddlers sitting at the bar seat when my friends and i entered the bar. When one black friend of mine didn't have an id, the bartender shouted at him 5+ times “get out of my bar” when there were babies screaming here. When i chatted with the senior bartender there, they explained to me that they wanted to exercise their right to refuse service to anyone. I just want to let people know I totally understand people’s wishes to exercise their right, just know that this establishment is not nice to everyone and proudly claimed their rights multiple times in my face that they could do anything they want. There are many many much nicer and friendlier bars in the neighborhood. The beer list is also extremely small. Our friends also all bought beers unknowingly and they continued to charge everyone.
