Floyd Brooklyn Reviews
Had the best time here! Great drinks, bartender was so fun and friendly. Loved the games available to play too
I loooove this bar. The bartender is so nice. You can have some beers or even a frozen margarita (quite refreshing). Fun crowd. Great place to day drink on the weekend!!
Flyod has been my neighborhood go-to for the last 3.5 years in the area. It only just get better. The atmosphere for football ⚽️, specifically the English premier league (soccer) is ridiculous. If you want to watch a big match arrive EARLY! It's a big space with three TVs but it gets full!
Great bar and amazing spot to watch premier league. football. One of the best soccer bars in the city. Stop by to watch Liverpool, Newcastle, Manchester City, etc. Get an Irish coffee because they open early at 10am. If you're looking for a soccer bar, this is a soccer bar.
Great mid sized bar. Pub/dive atmosphere. Some couch areas, lots of standing room, and a single bocce ball lane. They also allow you to order food into the bar which is great. The people are usually quite mixed from younger to older, good vibe either way. (One time I went to a wedding after party here and it was maybe the most fun wedding I've been to, don't advise bringing all the floral arrangements though, the bartenders didn't like that)
Generally quiet, unassuming bar which lets you bring your own food. There are several comfortable couches, small TVs (with no sound) to watch popular games, and a shuffleboard court. The drinks are fairly standard but well priced for NYC. The magic is in the bartenders. They're wonderful and considerate, especially for larger groups. I would recommend for a quiet drink with a few close friends.
Great bar, lots of space, great prices! They let you bring your own food as they don't serve any. There's a giant bocce ball court/field? area taking up 50% of the patron floor space, so it seems like it never gets too packed and there's lots of room to stretch out.
Overall really fun time here. Watched game one of the world series. Atmosphere from fans was awesome, just got really crowded and hard to move around. Drinks were good.
It's fine. Prices are a little high for the dive bar that it is. Not sure if it is just a result of the large group that I come in with, but it seems like the bartenders really hate that we are there. We are courteous tippers, so that's not the issue either. Oh well. They have a bocce court in the back.
Floyd is a perfectly decent neighborhood dive. The service is good, and they do a great 2 for 1 happy hour. The beer selection is nothing special, but the place is much larger than it looks form the outside, and it actually has a bocce court inside which is cool. Pretty standard bar, but good place to stop in fora quick drink.
Floyd is a nice enough space with a very rude bartender who made us feel quite unwelcome. Reading through the reviews now I can see we’re not the only ones! Would suggest considering elsewhere.
Bar tender is a horrible person, we waiting for Floyd’s to open because we heard it was iconic & told her we waited and said ‘wow what a wonderful thing to open the doors to….’ and kicked us out when there was ZERO people there …. Not a great look for the business at all. Would have spent $400 all night but not because of her - get better staff
I had a terrible experience at this bar due to the rude bartender. From the moment I walked in, the bartender was unfriendly and dismissive. They made me feel unwelcome and seemed annoyed whenever I tried to order a drink. Customer service is crucial in the hospitality industry, and this place seriously lacks it. I won't be coming back and wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for a pleasant night out.
The bar had toddlers sitting at the bar seat when my friends and i entered the bar. When one black friend of mine didn't have an id, the bartender shouted at him 5+ times “get out of my bar” when there were babies screaming here. When i chatted with the senior bartender there, they explained to me that they wanted to exercise their right to refuse service to anyone. I just want to let people know I totally understand people’s wishes to exercise their right, just know that this establishment is not nice to everyone and proudly claimed their rights multiple times in my face that they could do anything they want. There are many many much nicer and friendlier bars in the neighborhood. The beer list is also extremely small. Our friends also all bought beers unknowingly and they continued to charge everyone.
