oh my god i just walked in to get my usual late night fries and a beer ... they're closing.. . wow, i'm in shock, what a fantastic family business gone too soon. bittersweet, thank you for everything
Sad to learn that they're closing at the end of 2025 due to landlord issues. It's a great spot with a wonderful staff.
Fun Thursday karaoke, cheap drinks! What more can you ask for?
I come here frequently. Great bar food, signature cocktails or just beer on tap. Entertainment on select days of the week.
Incredible establishment with enthusiastic and vibrant locals. The staff is super kind and attentive. Had a great time <3
Welcome to the gem of the neighborhood, a bar that’s not just a place to drink, but a destination to unwind! With a menu that’s small but oh-so-dependable, every bite is a delightful surprise. The tap selection is a treasure trove of flavors, and trust me, you’ll want to sample them all over time. The atmosphere is as laid-back as a Sunday afternoon, making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the company of friends. This bar is destined to become your new favorite hangout! I’ve only tried the smash burgers and wings so far, and let me tell you, they were absolutely scrumptious. The beer selection on tap is equally impressive, offering a variety to suit every taste. Don’t miss out on their daily specials, like the fantastic $18 beer and burger deal that runs until 7 PM. It’s a steal and a reason to visit every day!
love to wind down with my pals at franklin820. had the BLT, a little dry but the service made up for it. dre is the best bartender in the city. really need to know if the corn chowder will ever be available. great neighborhood spot, nonetheless!
Franklin 820 is one of the best bars in the neighborhood. The food, the drinks, the service and the atmosphere were fantastic. 10/10 would recommend! Ask for Dre he was our bartender.
Rachel is my god. I have never met a more positive presence or better bartender. This bar is the only bar in the world as far as I’m concerned. Burger and beer combo wins. And the regulars are all cool as hell
I literally come here because Rachel is so kind and welcoming. Not only does she make phenomenal drinks and speedy service, she also had awesome movie and music taste as well as being witty and fun to chat with. She does all of this while also holding a professionalism and making sure the space is welcoming for all.
We had a pleasant time here enjoying some beers with good bar nosh. The bartender was friendly, helpful, and patient. The food was served hot and fast, and up to snuff; I had quality fish tacos. The fries and fried pickles were on point and we got seconds. The bathroom was clean and the crowd was easy going. Not sure why we waited so long to try a place so close to Franklin and Eastern. Laid back, chill, and easygoing.
Had a horrible experience here with my sister. We ordered shots and the bartender intentionally gave us a more expensive brand without telling us beforehand and then claimed it was illegal to take it back in exchange for a cheaper brand. Implies we were committing a crime and shouted out “welcome to the real world” then went to badmouth us to other patrons to make us look bad. Now he’s on yelp reviews claiming there is no such bartender working at This establishment. Unprofessional and disrespectful staff. For reference he is a white brunette man with facial hair.
I was greeted by a dog jumping all over me who a customer brought inside the venue thats basically a tiny whole in the wall… They had none of the “bar” food available in the midafternoon ie. chicken wings bone in or boneless or fried pickles. Here you’ll have to seat yourself then walk to the bar side to order items…we were frustrated because the employee behind the counter forgot to bring our water to the table but not to ask for a card to start a tab like we were going to run out. Now this would have been ok if we actually ordered more than a single drink that was subpar and reeked of stale fruit zest
