What a lovely gem this coffee shop is. I go there almost every week, and every single time the coffee is consistently excellent. The staff is always friendly, and even when they are extremely busy, they manage to get the drinks out fast.

I happened to see a line of people waiting, so I decided to try this cafe. The coffee was as delicious as the long line suggested, and the thoughtful interior design that blended with nature, along with the natural lighting, made the space even more beautiful. My weekends have become more enriching because of this place. :)

Popular spot! I like the coffee selection they have. Very well curated… although the milk smelled kinda funny in my matcha latte.. but the pour over was great!

I love this place, staff are usually kind and friendly, and a couple of them even put in efforts or acknowledge that I am an ASL user. I'm obsessed with one of their speciality latte, Last Word (triple espresso, oat milk, and white chocolate flavor), give it a try if you'd like!

every time i walk in this place, i instantly feel wonderful. the staff is warm + thoughtful. kate remembered my name + order after one interaction. i’m new to the neighborhood and little moments like this are more impactful than they might seem. the coffee is superb. everyone in this spot is reading the newspaper and/or chatting with the people around them. a lovely reminder of what these spaces can feel like, and the community they can foster. 10/10.

Amazing flat white!!! The espresso quality and barista expertise really make it shine. High recommend the flat white. It’s also very nice when you can catch a seat!

Beautiful, cozy and quiet place to wind down and enjoy a great cup of coffee, great selection of coffee beans to buy home. Weekends can get crowded and there is usually a line at the entrance. Great multi roaster cafe in crown heights✨🙏🏼

Incredible espresso!! This place is the real deal specialty coffee shop. I really enjoyed my visit and loved the space. They have very good offerings here for coffee and espresso. They also offer an iced green tea with the espresso as a pallet cleanser in a really cool setting. You can buy a lot of varieties of freshly roasted specialty beans here as well.

I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of the Cafe Villager next to Brooklyn museum, NYC, USA. A lovely coffee spot just a 4-minute walk from the Brooklyn Museum. The place has a bright, clean decor with a long bench along the wall — perfect for solo visitors or pairs. They serve excellent specialty coffee, play great music, and the restrooms are clean and well maintained. Overall, a great place to take a break while exploring this part of Brooklyn.

Delicious cold brew, beautiful face, friendly baristas and some of the most delicious pastries I’ve ever had. The olive oil cake was so moist, not too sweet and the flavors/textures of the pistachio cardamom cake was just mind blowing.

Here on Sunday morning 0930. Cool vibes and great coffee. Dont be put off by queue out the door, staff will get to you quickly. Pastries are nice, music selection on-point and staff friendly enough (though busy). Flat white USD$5.

Had an excellent iced latte (rich flavor notes of cacao — it’s rare that I’ve had an iced milk espresso drink where the coffee beans’ flavor is still so prominent)! Nice atmosphere, though it might be hard to find a seat at a table at peak times. Clean bathroom (1).

One of my favorite coffee spots; great food, lightning-fast service, and an atmosphere that’s just fun to be around. Even when there’s a line, the staff is incredibly efficient, someone comes out ahead to take your order, so by the time you reach the counter, all that’s left is to pay. The crowd is super eclectic, with people from all walks of life and styles. It’s inspiring just to sit and take it all in. Highly recommend for both the coffee and the vibe.

Packed out. Very limited seating so we got a latte and a couple of pastries to go. I tried the black sesame pinwheel.. maybe better warmed up because it didn’t do anything for me. I enjoyed the latte a lot but I friend thought it tasted “weird and industrial” Their bakery/pastry items looked great although u didn’t like mine. They had orange, cacao, carrot, olive oil pastries and cakes lots of fun options.

OK, I feel I’m more than ready to write this review. I have been getting my coffee for the last four months on an, almost, daily basis, and I would not recommend a coffee shop more than this particular one. I have been exploring, and tasting a good chunk of coffee places roofing in the city within the last eight months, but Villager is the one standing out from all of them! Consistency, knowledgeable, Novelty these are the words that will be using for should summarize it. From Brooklyn, with love. Yo E

Only got a flat white to go and it was excellent coffee but I need to come back and stay a while because this place looks the coziest and the pastries on display were very promising. Plenty of room to sit around and work, read or just lounge around. Definitely will come back! Great spot in the area

Such a nice place! Coffee is great, people are VERY nice (not something I look for usually, but that was such a pleasant bonus). Try their pistachio cake and grab some coffee beans if you brew at home, bc they have a big selection of specialty coffee here! Live plants inside is another bonus! And the fiber art on the walls!! The only thing is that sitting options are limited: there are mostly benches and a little bit of bar, but there are a couple of tables outside, for the good weather days. No savory or real food was detected :) I saw an old review with a sandwich but haven’t seen them during the visit.

Without a doubt now one of my favorite cafes in New York. I've been just twice now but this is one of the best shops I've come across in some time. Beautiful contemporary aesthetic, with light colors and playful touches that make it feel stylish as well as cozy. Lots of natural light with lovely street view. Fully staffed with very kind people! A ridiculous array of high quality coffee from some of the best roasters around the world. Multiple espresso options as well as made to order filter (aeropress, pour over, etc). A one-off, not a big chain with copious and dubious investment. You just don't get all things. Villager somehow pulls it off.

One of the most professional places for pour over coffee with great selections. They have good taste when picking coffee beans. I loved my pour over that day. I also ordered a cup of cappuccino. Although the foamed milk was not that creamy, the taste was smooth.

Nice coffee shop with limited seating inside. The coffee drinks were great, the pastries were just okay that we tried, prices were reasonable.

Villager has good coffee and a nice neighborhood vibe. The drinks are consistently solid, and the staff is generally friendly. That said, it gets really crowded, especially in the mornings, and the limited seating makes it hard to hang out for long. It’s a good spot to grab a coffee to go, but not always ideal if you’re hoping to sit and relax.

I like the decor, big windows, and plants here! The coffee is a little inconsistent — I always order the same thing and sometimes it tastes amazing and sometimes it’s just ok. Sadly the pastries seem to be very stale which is disappointing when they’re $7. This is my plea to get fresher pastries to go with the coffee!
