Ghoroa Sweets & Restaurant Brooklyn Reviews
We discovered this restaurant through IG reels, drove all the way from Jersey, and it lived all the hype. We started with potato shingara and chicken samosa, both solid and satisfying. For the main course, we went all out— beef tehari, large prawn, chicken roast, beef shikh kabab, rupchada fish, rui mach, duck bhuna, and chicken gizzard. Honestly, we loved almost every single item. The rupchada fish was top-notch and a clear standout. Beef tehari was hands down the best dish of the night. The duck bhuna was also really well done. The chicken roast was ok but could be improved a bit, and the chicken gizzard was average compared to the rest. The restaurant was clean, the service was great, and the overall experience felt very satisfying. We’ll definitely be going back, and yes, it’s worth the drive!
I recently had the pleasure of dining at this Bangladeshi restaurant, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. I was welcomed with warm hospitality and the cozy atmosphere set the perfect tone for the meal. The menu offered a wide variety of traditional Bangladeshi dishes, and each one I tried was packed with authentic flavors and perfectly balanced with spices, while the goat curry had a wonderful depth of flavor that showcased slow cooking at its best. The naan was fresh out of the tandoor soft, fluffy, and ideal for scooping up the curries. The service was attentive without being intrusive. The staff took the time to explain different dishes and offered great recommendations based on spice preference. Portion sizes were generous, and the food was beautifully presented. What stood out the most was the balance of spices and the freshness of the ingredients it felt like each dish was made with care. The restaurant also had several vegetarian options that looked just as appealing and flavorful.Overall, it was a memorable dining experience. This restaurant is perfect whether you’re craving comfort food from home, looking to explore Bangladeshi cuisine for the first time, or in the mood for a flavorful, satisfying meal. I’d highly recommend it.
The food is good. Really had amazing bengali food there. Staff are friendly too especially that baggy pant boy he was so friendly and came to ask me twice do I need anything or not. Samosa was top notch! ❤️❤️
Tried chicken grill. That was Awesome. Spicy, lots of masala. Got deshi Taste in it. It made in tandoors by inserting Steel stick inside of the chicken , cooked on hot charcoal on bottom with fire. Smells good and taste is traditional. Worth trying. And the paratha was so soft not oily you can feel it by your hand. This is not the first time i am trying this it’s actually 5Th or 6th time. I will keep trying whenever i come.
It's a very fast quick service place, excellent for what it is. Much like a dozen other Bangladeshi spots up and down Macdonald ave. Steam tray food that gets reheated in a microwave, very tasty. Reheating can be irregular, not just here, but up and down the street, they want to be quick, so I tend to ask for "extra hot". Food is super tasty, place is clean, I feel like the only person here who speaks English as their first language. $17 for a plate of beef stew, green beans and lentils, with no bread or rice (my request, to control carbs in my diet).
Outta ten it can be better but not sure how much I can give. Only sometimes have to have their Kaachi biryani on a weekend but once in a while or sometimes only or usually get their chicken tandoori, kebab, and naan and that’s pretty much about it lol.
Wanted to try something different than my usual spot and what an epic fail! Ordered food over $120 thru doordash and was extremely disappointed 😞! The goat, chicken, and beef curry were delivered refrigerator cold! Did you forget to warm the food and just pack so we can reheat ourselves? Paid for medium curries at $13 each and got all small containers.Ruhi fish curry smelled old and fishy. the only thing fresh was the breads Ordered. Thank goodness doordash reimbursed me completely for this horrible and embarrassing order for my office staff. I ended reordering at Raduni with huge portions, great hot and delicious food. Both of Ghoroa Queens and Brooklyn spots are a failure of Bengali food.
Yesterday I ordered Iftar items (Haleem and kebabs) from Gorowa Restaurant. The food was extremely bad. After eating their food, everyone in my family became sick. Please be careful and check the food properly before eating. Their food quality and service are very poor.
All the time found hair in the food…. The employees are very rude… poor packaging when you take the food last my food was fall in the bag
The quality of meat tehri from Ghora restaurants is not good. Their tehri is made of meat bones and the meat is shaped like biryani. And meat is served much less.
I ordered here and stood there for a long time. You guys fought amongst yourselves and didn't give me my order. I was forced to leave at once.
No thanks 🚫 Last time for me. The restaurant used to be good but now this is one of the worst places you can ever go. The employees are very rude. I got 2 small stones on the rice. The food was split out the plate when it was served. Food is not good as before. I saw the chef was holding the garbage bags and was opening the basement doors which is on the road and everyone is walking on it with same gloves as he was serving the food with. Last time for me period.
