I had an absolute blast at Keybar. Chelsea is a beautiful soul who can converse with anyone. Matt, although I caught him on his second day, can truly make your visit memorable. A small space but my friend and I had so much fun! Especially since the happy hour was 2 for 1. Their specialty drinks are $12, well drinks $9, beers I think were $8. It was just a fun place to hang!

The owners are genuinely interested in giving you a great experience, nobody nicer. The music is great, it's not too big not too small and everyone always having a great time with friends or new acquaintances. Ask for Attila. Hungarian hospitality at it's best!

Love this place. It attracts a pretty chill crowd, has really friendly bartenders and the drink selection is pretty good. The happy hour special is also one of the best specials I've seen so far.

A true diamond of a bar. Whenever I have friends visiting from out of town I take them here to get the night started right! It’s what a good bar should be close-knit, lively, strong fair-priced drinks, management that comes by and makes sure you’re having a great time. The music is always random in a good eclectic way. 2 for 1 drinks! It doesn't get much better than that. Except that it does. So, happy hour last until 10pm. Yup. You read that right. 10pm!! And it's not just well drinks! They give you a ticket equal to the value of the drink you bought. You can use anytime, not just on the same day or for the same drink!! Mango Madness is delish and one of my faves. The ambiance is pretty chill. I've been here a couple times and enjoyed it. It's a good spot to go after work to relax.

Colorful dive bar with such a fun atmosphere. Drinks were tasty for price and shots were actually really good. Got a free round of shots for my birthday on them. COVID safe and checked all vaccination cards/ID's.

My favorite happy hour bar mostly because it is 2 for 1 drinks until 10pm. But even BETTER is that the business card voucher good for the free drinks is not only marked in terms of dollars that match the corresponding drink that you paid for but it is also good for future visits meaning, you don't have to use it right then and there. You can use it for another night or nights. If you paid for a $12 drink, you get a $12 drink voucher good for ALL drinks of lesser or equal value to, yup you guessed it $12. The pours are ON POINT. But the bar is small and with the crowds that normally call this place "home", getting the bartender's attention can be not only a hassle but almost a hustle. Normally there is 2 bartenders behind the small bar for about a venue that caters to about 50 people. You do the math. Getting to the bathroom on the right side of the venue can be iffy when it is crowded which is anytime after 5pm on weekdays and 1pm on weekends. Seating is first come first serve and the best is obviously the couch area that is to the right of the entrance when you enter this popular watering hole. OR in the left area next to the DJ booth after the bar in the corner that comfortably fits 6 people. Uncomfortably can fit 10. The music can be good or just okay depending on the night. There are many places that you can get your happy hour drinking on but this might be one of the best ones in terms of bang for your buck(s) and consistency/potency of drinks. I'm a fan.

Keybar is an awesome low key bar. Great atmosphere with a great selection of beers and cocktails. Their Sunday and Monday night happy hour is by far one of the best i seen in the city. Buy one and get one free, you can not beat that deal. If you want to go to an establishment and have a calm and cool time (especially for a business drink) Keybar is the place to go.

This is our favorite bar in NYC. Love that they now have pizza for snacking and outdoor seating!

Keybar is a favorite of mine in the East Village for a couple reasons: 1) Ambiance is perfect and conducive to conversation 1.a) Great for dates 2) Drinks are cheap and happy hour is long 2.a) Great for dates 3) A nice draft and cocktail selection 3.a) Great for when dates go sour and storm out. Whatever! Keybar's bartenders are always friendly and energetic, they'll remember you, too - if you're a drunken Irishman such as meself and frequent such establishments. Their happy hour is seven days a week and for each drink you'll get a card redeemable now or a future visit for a free drink the same price. Brilliant! Walls are a romantic brick with cool art hung on them and accent lighting, music is never blaring obnoxiously loud and usually not very crowded.

If you're looking for a good place to be at night or the weekend, this is the bar to go to. The music is great, the owners are awesome and the drinks are on the money. They have different DJ's that spin there so the music is always good.

We were locked out our apartment and this bar was next door. The owner invited us in for a drink and we never looked back. 2 for 1 happy hour drinks, they spin some great records and everyone we've met in the bar is solid.

Amazing place with a really fun vibe. It has a great happy hour too! Definitely gets crowded on the weekends but that's most bars in the city. They play really good music too. Sometimes there's room to dance!

The bar itself is quite small, but they have really reasonable and tasty drinks. It was hard to know exactly what their cocktails were made of since they aren't just the standard cocktails. They were delicious though! Cheap prices, some interesting art and style, friendly bartender. Overall a good place to try.

Our group decided to go to keybar because we heard that the owner is Hungarian (we are also Hungarian), and we saw that that the midweek happy hour deals were fantastic. Although the owner wasn't there, we had an awesome time. I tried a few of their cocktails during my time there, and I was never let down by any of them. They were all very tasty and not watered down. I would definitely recommend this place to someone that was looking for a good happy hour bar.

Exceptional little gem in the heart of Manhattan. Always a great time and great music. You have that feeling that bar staff and owner genuinely nice people. Also owner (Attila) plays every Saturday as a resident DJ and his sets are 🔥 All in all you can have a sh*t ton of fun without paying 20$ for a cocktail. Highly recommended 🤟🤟🤟

I really like this place. It's low-key and unpretentious but still has a sexy and cozy vibe with the fireplace and large (group) booth in the back (has curtains for privacy 😉). The music is also cool, very ambient, trance-like, Buddha bar vibes. Happy hour deals are dope too. Highly recommend.

Every time I come here have a real good time! :) The crowd is nice, bartenders friendly and a music is simply .... excellent! I was invited for a party about 8 years ago. I've been here 4 month's ago again and I had a same good experience. First time I was parked in a wrong spot. A neighbor came to ask the bar owner may be someone in the bar parking there, so they kindly ask me to park somewhere else before they tow my car. That is speaks for it self ! I'll be back! Thanks! Best bellini I've ever had. Bartender was super great and was very helpful when my friend left her bag at the bar. We were able to come back and get it after we saw a show in Midtown. The drinks are also super cheap and their happy hour is basically the same as their business hours.

This old school East Village bar is a must if you like house music. The owners always have great DJ lineups and the drink specials always make for a great night. Also the crowd is a great mix, never had a bad time here.

We were just here for a friend's birthday party and what a cool, beautiful venue. From the decor, lighting and DJ booth and back room, the design and attention to detail is obvious with coat hooks everywhere. The sound system was great for our particularly discerning crowd. We stayed and danced way later than we meant to and an amazing time was had by all. Staff was so nice. A great place for dates, friend meet ups and birthdays. Bonus: pinball machines! We will be back soon!

Had a wonderful night here on my birthday earlier this month, the bartender Lisa was attentive and jovial and really made me feel special. The live DJ was great, and the booth seating was very comfortable. It wasn't really an "everyone standing up dancing" type of place when I went, more of a "people chilling in groups and mingling around" type of vibe, but that's more my speed anyways. Prosciutto personal pizza was tasty and a great value as it had more prosciutto than I'd expect for the price. The blood orange and passion fruit martinis are both absolutely divine, but if I had to choose only one, the blood orange one is slightly better. Overall a wonderful night out, will definitely go again!

Huge fan, I like the big drink and shot menu. They have reasonable prices for high quality drinks shots. Food prices look good too but haven’t tried. Vibe is a good marriage of east village and Bushwick !

The owner is an incredibly good guy. My friend lost her jacket and when he saw me searching around he checked in with me to help search. He was very helpful, really good guy. He took her number down in case it got returned and gave us shots as consolation. Lo and behold he found the jacket. Also the dj was really great that night. the only thing it was hot as hell in there even on a winter night but overall great vibes. Thank you so much. Also great drinks. Passion fruit vodka shots were delicious and my passion martini came with a whole half passion fruit which was rad.

The 2 for 1 drinks here naked this place worth the visit. The place is small which means you are shoulder to shoulder most of the time. The bar associates are very attentive and the service is quick.

Chill people, affordable drinks, only thing would be that they only had 1 bartender. Which made it difficult to get his attention when everyone was around the bar. Overall not a bad spot to just have some drinks after a long day and meet some of the regulars.

They have a great happy hour special! I bought a craft beer and received a coupon for the next one to be free. That's two beers for about $8 in Manhattan!! The staff is caring too. I left my a coupon at the bar thinking that it was an advertisement, and the bartender was kind enough to grab my attention and advise that it was a voucher for a free drink. The atmosphere resembles a club. It dimly lit when red lights. There is a vib table in one of the corners. It's only missing a dance floor.

I usually have a great time at key bar. It's a great place to come for Happy hour and get 2-1 drinks. I would usually give this place a 4-5 star rating for their heavy drinks and cheap prices. This rating is because I was served by a very unfriendly bartender. They don't have any food so just come here to drink. On weekends they have DJs that spin a lot of fun music. I try to come here and purchase all my drinks before happy hour ends then use the free coupons after and spend the rest of the night here.

This place has a very chill vibe. The waitress was extremely cool with us and helped my friends order drinks based on their preferences. If you're in the area I highly recommend going here for a drink after work.

Visited it over last weekend during bar hopping in the east village. This place has the perfect setting for a great evening with friends. Though not huge but the place serves the purpose of being a good hangout joint for the revellers. The decor is hip and somewhat different when I compare with the other bars in the area. We walked in around 9.30 and the place was packed but still we were able to grab hold some seats available in the corner. Now coming to the drinks, one should definitely the signature shot called as rolo vodka shot. The shot was really amazing and was very different as compared to what I had at other places. Also try the passion fruit vodka shot. Overall a nice and cozy place to hang out with friends after work and on weekends.

Fantastic service from some top level bartenders. Pizza was surprisingly good, and even cooked in a little pizza kitchen near the front. Small dancefloor, but great music.

Solid happy hour on the main floor with 2 for 1 drink specials. The space is a bit small, but nicely mixed cocktails that aren't watered down completely makes up for it! I'm a fan of the Pimm's lemonade. I've also been in the downstairs area for a birthday - DJs tend to be pretty good and drinks are made right even when it's crowded.

Great bar for low price. Went there Saturday and was surprised they have happy hour. The drinks are cheap and staff is friendly. Only down side I would say is the spot is small . I would only go there for about 1- 2hrs since it can get packed . Also 20 dollars is the limit you can use for card tab.

I always love their drink options. They will make whatever you want but they also have great mixed drinks options. They also have a pretty good selections of beers. Happy hour(s) are the best. Basically anytime you come in they have 2 for 1, except after 10 on Fridays and Saturdays. Even without the 2 for 1, their prices are really good. It's a great place to start your night off and chat with friends. The bar tenders are always friendly and ready to chat if you want. Even though they don't serve their own food, you can order from the Mexican place next door. It really is an awesome place.

By far not the biggest or flashiest bar, but every time I've come here, I've had a ball. A great spot for day drinking during the summer with the amazing 2-for-1 special, and fun to check out during the colder months when they have the fireplace lit. You can even get your dance on when the DJ is on duty. Service is good, and the atmosphere is fun, so you should definitely give it a try.

A decent bar located away from the bustling main road elements and a nice atmosphere to prep you for pre-drinks for clubbing. I had their Lychee Martini, which was mixed really well. I only wish the staff would be more engaging to customers but I loved their energy!

This was a fun dive bar in East Village. Their drinks were priced very well for happy hour and I enjoyed that their happy hour didn’t end until 9pm. The passionfruit martini was really good. It is perfect if you like a fruity cocktail. The lychee martini was half-decent. The drink was super strong so you could barely taste the lychee. However, overall the service was great and it was a fun dive bar to go to. I also loved the Halloween decorations that was put up! There was a photo booth too which was fun to make gifs with friends!

Your not so typical city dive bar which you will never tried of. Take full advantage of their Happy Hour deal which $3 wine and beer, $5 cocktails from 4-10pm. You can't leave without trying their Rollo Shots.

Small scaled Irish pub with prototypical NYC happy hour deals with empty space that is best filled with a private gathering of 15+ people. $15 a drink. 3.5/5 stars as a night bar.

When I was there it was more of a lounge. I got a free birthday shot if I bought one which was a good deal. I didn't have any cocktails though. Music was okay, it wasn't really making people dance.

Nothing really special about this place. I loved the music here (throw back 90's) on a Friday night and the decor is interesting (the paintings on the wall are very Warhol and I love it) But it's very crowded which makes it very hot. Hard to get to the bar. Very over priced drinks. No where really to sit. I only enjoyed myself because I was with my friends but I'd never bring this place up as an option in choosing a bar. Just 1 in a million.

2 for 1 happy hour until 10 pm, they give you a card with each drink you buy that never expires so you can used when ever you want. They have a great beer on drafts, and good mixed drinks. Excellent service, bartender are very fast and make good drinks.They had the table reserve for 830, but they let us use the table, from 530 until the reservation arrived. I am a long time patron of keybar even from the East Village days. Drinks are very reasonably priced. Bartenders are decently mannered when not under pressure from large crowds or the overbearing Co-owner, Attila.

We came here to celebrate a birthday.. The food is limited. They also didn't have enough. The bartender was slow and rude. The second one didn't arrive until 9, 10pm. Happy Hour prices are ok. Drinks are mid..

A bar must realize its limitations. Key Bar fails to understand that with its limited square footage, a 2-for-1 deal until 10pm would attract an incredibly uncomfortable amount of people to its mouse hole of a bar. It was nearly impossible to reach the bar, let alone get a drink. The crowd is young, drunk and obnoxious. I even returned a second time to give it another chance. Never again.

I waited 10 min at the bar until I figured the bartender was gone and the bar was closed. She finally showed up and was unfriendly/drunk. Beers are overpriced, no atmosphere, and the redhead bartender is maybe the worst I’ve had in NYC. Other than that, the place is great!

Bartender was NOT polite. The owner was not present at the time of the incident. Girlfriend was present. Bartender was forceful with tips (wasn't from the city so I didn't know what they expected but to pick up an issue with what someone wants to pay and embarrass them to get tips is wrong - goes against what a tip is). Wouldn't go back. Owner in his reply below is making it seem like he was there (he wasn't he was outside having a smoke when it all went down now he wants to add his input). Additionally IF your employees are behaving the way they were and I voice my opinion to you that's not disrespectful its me voicing my opinion and I have that right because this is a free country. You like to push your service on people guess what they say stuff back. Additionally buddy if you want to talk about what someone was tipping you should be there because it wasn't $1 but your friend expected me to pay a percentage and if he didn't get that he was going to complain right? Yeah THATs real polite. Yeah buddy wouldn't come back either.

Good place if you know the owner. Made a reservation a week and a half in advance. When we got there they didn’t have my reservation saved when I had been emailing with the owner about it. They gave use a table but then told us we had to live due to a birthday party coming in. The drinks that were available were terrible. Weird vibe and the website is very misleading makes it look like a club but it is far from it.

I came in last night to catch the happy hour special. Melissa the bartender for that day (3/8/2018) was very snobby. She not once came over and ask if we wanted any refills but attended to everyone else. I'm not going to say it's because my race but it might be. So happens, that my company and I was the only different folks there. I was excited about coming here because of the reviews. Don't believe the hype. Walk down to 4th and hit up the Trader Joe's wine shop instead. Much better. Drinks were Meh at best. Watered down. I would never come back or recommend this place to anyone. The first and last time that I'll be there in my life. The bouncer literally took us out while he was keeping a lot of people in. He was pushing me out of the place and being very rude despite me not doing anything wrong except finishing my drink at a pace he didn't like. Def the worst experience ever in my life at a bar and all because of the aggressive and mean bouncer who wants to fight people that are not causing any problems whatsoever.
