Kushi Brooklyn Reviews
Amazing Udon and Pork belly. Buns are great as well. This place is delicious, looks great (fusion), really well priced. I think 2 people can eat dinner here and pay $30-$40. I was surprised there reviews here are not closer to 5 stars. I lived in Brooklyn all my life and work in Midtown Manhattan. I can compare this place to quite a few places but it’s absolutely delicious and cheap and the atmosphere is fantastic. Highly recommend!
Very good! Loved the food, service, atmosphere, everything. Went with some friends last year and enjoyed it. I really wish there were multiple of this same restaurant spread out in NYC. Everything was tasty, hot, well portioned, and cheap! The food service is very quick! Haven't waited more than 10 minutes. I will definitely go as often as I can. One Piece is my favorite anime and the action figures with the wall art definitely do justice to the show. Definitely visit this lovely restaurant if you're thinking about it!! 😁
Very unique restaurant! I came for a birthday and it was a pretty chill vibe on a Tuesday evening. It’s not too busy. The food is delicious. We ordered sushi, scallion, pancakes, fried oysters and the seaweed salad. all the food arrives really quickly and all were so yummy. I would definitely come back here again both for the charm (because it’s a really cute restaurant!) but also for the food on its own is really amazing.
Update: Ate here for dinner again and the staff was really helpful, the food was fast again and the plating looks amazing as usual. I came here to eat with my family. We ordered ramen and a lot of sushi. The food was delicious and arrived relatively quickly. The waiter was friendly and helpful when we were ordering. The interior One Piece decorations were really cool and I will definitely be coming again.
I had a very positive 4-star experience at Kushi Asian Fusion! The service was a total standout, earning a perfect 5-star rating for being top-tier. The food was also high quality at 4 stars, and the atmosphere was pleasant at 3 stars. It is a great local spot for a meal with excellent service!
Good portion sizes, great lunch specials. I like their sushi lunch specials and ramen, however, udon noodles in particular were in a really salty broth. Would not recommend that particular order. Pick up is excellent for but delivery takes a really long time.
20250731::tried the beef pad thai. was ok. not even pad thai noodle. the rolls were good. 3 for $10.75 20240424:; love the one piece references, though i have not watched one episode yet. i got N1, the tonkatsu noodle with an extra set of noodle. the pork was dry , not soft as it should be. but the soup and noodle made up for it. the pork katsu rice was yummy especially with the spicy mayo that's normally for rolls
The restaurant is located in the Bensonhurst section of Brooklyn. It is an Asian fusion restaurant with Japanese, Chinese and Thai food. The restaurant has a long section for preparing sushi. I ordered the sushi and sashimi combination which included a California roll. I also added an eel avocado roll with a side salad. The food was fresh and had very good taste. Friendly and helpful staff.
The anime walls and One Piece decor at Kushi Asian Fusion added to its fun ramen shop vibe. Friendly staff made the experience even better. The food was decent for a budget-friendly, casual restaurant, with generous portions that left us satisfied, though the sushi rolls fell apart easily and the spicy miso ramen broth tasted a bit like instant seasoning. Overall, a solid spot for a casual meal with a cool atmosphere.
Well hello ramen !!! I really enjoyed the ramen that I had Tonkotsu Ramen which was delicious. One downside is the pork was too chewy. For that I had to get rid of a star. We had the scallion pancakes, baked mussels, chicken fried rice, and the takoyaki. We also had some rolls which I got too hungry and forgot to take a picture of. I also wished the ramen broth temperature was more hot. I don’t like warm soup. Nevertheless, it was a great first time. If you’re an anime fan, def stop by and enjoy some yummy food. The prices are def reasonable!!!
Katsu pork buns.. bit greasy but great. Chicken karaage was alright. Tonkotsu chicken/pork ramen was alright… chicken and pork tasted bland, good portions though. The lady hadn’t even given my change yet and was already asking for a tip. She didn’t sit us, wasn’t quite welcoming. Will not come back, take out perhaps.
I’ve been visiting this place every now and then since high school, but a few years back, the server switched to a middle-aged lady. She’s fantastic, but it feels like everything has changed since then. I remember once when she chased after me and my friends because we didn’t tip them enough—it’s wild, since that never happened before! Still, I come back sometimes, and it’s always the same lady. The food is okay, not amazing like before, and it feels like the portions are smaller. I really enjoy this place because it’s filled with memories from high school with my friends, but now it just feels like a different place.
We've been here multiple times and each time it was decent. However, these last few months we haven't been back until now and I have to say, the sashimi were all incredibly bad; it was warm and you can tell by it's flavor that it wasn't fresh at all. The cooked food, however, was decent (I.e., chives yakitori and gyu don). This was definitely a disappointing experience so next time I might come for the cooked foods instead. Friendly staff and nice ambiance, plus the prices were relatively affordable. Thanks for reading and good luck (:
I've had a mixed experience with the sushi at Kushi Asian Fusion. While some rolls are decent and occasionally even good, the service, particularly regarding delivery, has been disappointing. My recent experiences with the delivery drivers have been frustrating. During a previous order, I explained that I live in a building without an elevator and have a broken leg, making it impossible for me to come downstairs. However, the driver callously insisted I come down instead, stating, “I’m too busy to come upstairs.” He ended up leaving my order in the lobby, forcing me to crawl down and back up the stairs for my food, despite tipping $5. This time, I left a $2 tip, considering I was already charged a delivery fee of $3 and a convenience fee of $1. To my shock, the delivery driver yelled at me for the small tip and rudely suggested that I should order through Uber Eats next time. I understand that tipping isn't mandatory, but given that the restaurant is only 5 blocks away and the driver was on a moped in good weather, I felt my tip was fair. A delivery driver should be more considerate, especially when the restaurant doesn’t offer the service of bringing my order upstairs. Overall, the sushi might be decent, but the rude delivery drivers really detract from the experience. This place needs to reevaluate its delivery staff to ensure better service in the future.
I had spicy miso ramen and it’s definitely the worst ramen I’ve ever had. It tastes like instant ramen with a few toppings. Both the noodle and broth not only taste like super low quality instant ramen, the noodle is overcooked too.
Unsanitary conditions were observed inside.Photos and videos were taken on-site
This was my first time ordering sushi from this place. Sadly, the sushi didn’t taste good and had a strange smell. We paid $30 with a tips , and were unable to finish it. I apologize for the honest feedback, but I wouldn’t recommend ordering from here.
The Pad See Ew looked nothing like the photo online, it was just a pile of brown goo. The only vegetable included was onion, and instead of mixing the chicken with the noodles, they threw about five strips on top. The presentation was awful, and it was hard to eat because of how unappetizing it looked. Very disappointing.
My wife and I really loved this place and came here all the time. The waiter Sandra remembered us and always greeted us warmly and smiled. Now she is gone and this place seems to have lost its life for us, the portions have become smaller, the waiter guy and the new girl with glasses are not friendly, they serve rudely and look with contempt as if this is their establishment. Most likely today is our last visit to this establishment 💔 and the last time they served us food with a spoon today, which finally finished me off 😐
