Las Margaritas Brooklyn Reviews
I absolutely LOVE coming here. Their tacos de Al pastor is to DIE FOR!! Always welcoming and polite. I would definitely recommend it. Best Mexican food in bay ridge ☺️☺️.
Everything was right, service was great moved really quickly. I don't remember the bartender name but the drinks (margarita) were really good, and as for the food taste delicious plus big portions as well. Affordable I will be going again. P.S Marachi artists made the experience even better.
Always great food ordered a carnitas torta and a chicken burrito it was amazing. Whenever I go there to eat I usually get the steak nachos the portions for the nachos are huge filling for 2 people. They also have really great drinks. Mango margarita with tajin is my go to drink
It was crowded. The food was flavorful and it was in abundance. As a sign of whether or not it was authentic, I saw plenty people from their culture eating there. Which was indicative that they approved. I left stuffed. Back to the treadmill in the morning. All in all it was a good experience. I would go after 7pm so I do not have too much issue with parking.
Okay Margaritas, Mexican food and drinks is always good, if it’s done right. I’ve been here a couple of times. Not many complaints honestly , the one thing I will say is probably pay more attention to customers , yes taking an order looks cool if you don’t wright it down , but what’s the point if you’ll get the order wrong 😅 don’t worry just pull out a pen and paper wright down my order and make sure I get the right drink, or right meat in the tacos 🤷♂️ other than that service is awesome, there may be a bit of a wait time depending on how busy it is , the servers always have a smile , and definitely will help you pick something if you can’t decide. Overall great place little to no complaints definitely recommend try it out for date night 💪 8/10
I have visited this restaurant 3 times before, and my most recent visit made me wish it was closer to my home. My shrimp chimichanga was perfect in every way, seasoning, portion size and price. My husband had the grilled fish, which he described the same way. Will definitely be back much sooner!!
I enjoyed this place. Service was nice. Loved that they offered free chips and salsa. The food was good but I felt like I missed the extra flavor. The portions were huge and definitely worth the price. I don't like there is a 4% CC fee.. Overall I like it and would go back again FOR SURE.. The server was wonderful. Thanks guys
It’s been my favorite Mexican food spot for many years. Only complaint I have lately, is that the steak tacos now have been having little pieces of bones. Twice already my daughter almost cracked her tooth. Today was the first time dining in since the pandemic, and service is not what it used to be. Not attentive.
We were looking for a place that the kids could order “kid food” and we could get tacos. Kids were happy with their food and portions were good size. The service was really good, our waitress was attentive. As for the actual tacos, I wouldn’t order again. They had a ton of meat (I got carne asada) but the meat was a bit bland. Neither of the salsas offered were the slightest bit hot either. I’m used to going to a Mexican restaurant and having the green salsa be very spicy and this wasn’t the slightest bit. I might go back to try the margaritas but maybe not the food again.
Food was good. The salsa had duck sauce because it was sweet. The service wasn’t good and very slow. Then instead of putting out the good at the same time, they put one out and 30 minutes later another food, by the time we were all feed it was an hour and a half. And then they brought out the appetizers at the end.
The food and drinks were great, but the service felt a bit overwhelming. The waitress kept asking “everything okay?” almost every minute, and different staff members kept coming one after another. I understand they were just checking in, but it made us feel a little awkward—like we were being rushed to finish our food and drinks.
During my most recent visit, I ordered a torta. When I was eating it, I kept seeing stringy material that seemed like clothing lint. The more I picked at it, the more showed up. I got suspicious and brought it to my waitress’ attention. She offered to give me a new one. The new one had the same problem on the top bun. Cannot pinpoint what it is exactly but a part of me thinks it is mold. This used to be my favorite Mexican restaurant but seems like quality has decreased while prices increased. Will not be going back.
Not a long wait, food was good. Garlic dressing was amazing. Empanadas flavorful. Kids enjoyed the quesidillas. Pina coladas were amazing . Chorizo tacos flavorfull. Fajitas were great. Food was good, giving 3 stars because every number online is wrong. Left something at the restaurant and cant get ahold of them to see if item was found.
Today I went to this restaurant that in my opinion food quality is good but when it was time to pay they told me it was going to be a 4% extra for using my debit card and I explained them that it is illegal to sub charge from a debit card and on the top of that they included the 18% gratuity fee that is also illegal when you are less than 6 people we were 2 adults and 3 children I reached out to the manager and I explained that I work in the industry and I will always tip but it’s was not cool to rob people money doing that he sarcastically responded congratulations that you work in the industry and didn’t do anything about it. PEOPLE CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS THEY WILL TAKE MONEY IF YOU DONT CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS ALSO CONTACT CONSUMER COMPLAINTS AND THEY WILL BE IN TROUBLE FOR DOING IT…
A Disappointing Dining Experience at Las Margaritas :( My wife and I were looking forward to an enjoyable lunch at Las Margaritas Restaurant on 72nd and 3rd Ave., hoping for a pleasant dining experience filled with good food, great service, and an ambiance that complemented the restaurant’s Mexican theme. While the service provided by Melissa was truly commendable—attentive, friendly, and efficient—the overall experience was marred by an unexpected and unpleasant element: the music. Dining out is supposed to be an opportunity to relax and savor a meal, yet the choice of music played in the restaurant had the exact opposite effect. Instead of traditional Mexican melodies that would enhance the authenticity of the experience, we were subjected to blaring reggaeton featuring explicit lyrics, aggressive rhythms, and an overwhelming volume that made it nearly impossible to enjoy our meal in peace. Bad Bunny and perreo may have their place elsewhere, but certainly not in a Mexican restaurant where guests expect cultural consistency. As a result, what should have been a pleasant afternoon lunch turned into an uncomfortable ordeal. The incessant thumping and crude lyrics didn’t just ruin the atmosphere—it gave us both a headache and even seemed to affect our digestion. A restaurant’s ambiance is just as important as the food it serves, and Las Margaritas failed to maintain an environment suited for a respectable dining experience...imagine if kids were present...this is certainly not a family restaurant! We value authenticity, respectful presentation, and an atmosphere that complements the cuisine being served. Sadly, this visit did not meet those expectations. Would we ever return? Certainly not. A restaurant that disregards the harmony between its theme and ambiance does not deserve a second chance from us...Caveat Emptor!
