Its 1:30 a.m and came here as a last resort for food and drinks. Let me say God did us great. The tacos were HUGE (not your normal small tacos), the nacho plate was HUGE and FULLY loaded with meat, and cheese. We also ordered drinks and were a bit spectacle about the price but once I saw how big the glasses were I was extremely happy and so was my girlfriend. Price matched the food, unlike any other place (the food was great too, so were the drinks). Definitely coming back.

I love love this place! The alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks were large and delicious. The waitress was very kind and patient. The food came sizzling hot from the oven and it was so tasty! MÉXICO 🇲🇽 Eat the World NYC review: Sunset Park is not really the type of place that people go out drinking at bars, as most of its residents are families and from places where drinking culture requires meals to be involved as well. One place that is an exception to this rule and has a real bar is Los Tres Potrillos on the north side of the neighborhood. With a couple TVs usually showing football, I have been using it every once in a while to have a few beers during a Liga MX match or just when mood required getting out of the house. Besides the bar and nice staff, one of the things that keeps me returning is their amazing plate of house nachos. Sometimes you just need nachos, and the nachos los tres potrillos is possibly as good as it gets. There are a few meat options, but the al pastor is the best with these and also adds pineapple to the rest of the numerous ingredients.

It's far more expensive than your typical place. What is normally a $9 plate is about $20. But it is open 24 hours. The food is also typical in terms of quality. Nothing special, but it is very good tasting and portion sizes are on the larger side of things. I've been here more than once and will keep coming here because it's litterally one of the few things open and serving fresh food, it just comes at a price.

Excellent Tex-Mex cuisine and service. It's worth giving it a try if you're in the area. The waitresses tend to be a little slow when it's time to pay the bill, however, they are very nice to everyone.

The service could have been a little friendlier, and they forgot our guacamole, even though the waitress asked if I wanted spicy or regular (it wasn't on the bill, so not a big deal). But the food was quite good. I really enjoyed my broiled mixed seafood. The menu had mostly meat and a decent amount of seafood, but not a lot of vegetarian options. The atmosphere was pleasant but definitely not fancy.

Perfect vibrant Mexican restaurant to check out for a casual dinner with family or friends. Played great music adding more to the vibe. In regards to the food, it was great food! The meat was cooked well and tasted fresh! The Beef Quesidilla was not bad but had a little bit of an aftertaste. Not sure how to explain. The aftertaste is not unbearable but definitely noticeable. I’d still come back for more!!

I love their Arrachera Steak platter it’s to die for. Food is pretty decent and wait time is not that bad if you’re dining in. Only downside is the waitresses, have been coming here for years and it is always the same the waitresses do not acknowledge your needs. They put the food on the table and completely forget about you, you have to constantly either get up and get them to come to you or try your luck and flag them down. Perfect for families and perfect for a romantic date. It’s still slamming but very expensive!!!

I went to Los Tres Potrillos and was hoping to get vegan Tacos. They didn’t have vegan and the waitress wasn’t helpful with vegan options, though she was nice. She said that if I can say how they could make it, they will do it. I asked if they can add beans and nopales. No Nopales. Lettuce and tomatoes and beans she said. Okay. Please add some onions I said. Great. My husband asked that we add tostones. We got our food. I was really hungry. I bit into my tacos and tasted lots of lettuce and onions. A bit of tomatoes. No beans. I kept thinking it would be in the middle. Eventually I tasted some watery bean liquid. Never found the beans. Not whole. Not mashed. The tostones were dark and hard. I took a bite and could barely bite into it. They were also tasteless. It was as if they were refried after sitting there for a while. That doesn’t work for tostones. My husband’s shrimp tacos were okay. This was our first time. Not going back.

Wouldn't come back. Took 30 minutes to get 2 chicken tostadas to go. No utensils were provided. Had to eat the messy topping like guac with my hand. Chicken was on the dry and rubbery side. It also didn't taste like it had seasoning.

On the walk in , the place is pretty dark and unwelcoming. If you’re looking for the famous birria tacos here, you can find them. You can’t just buy one though, you have to buy three and it comes with the birria soup. Which is 12 dollars. I got the birria tacos and chicken tacos, they were both very dry even with the sauce. It had a good flavor, but the tacos itself just had meat and cilantro, no cheese , no sauce. Overall I wouldn’t go back there.

The food was good, but the service was really slow at the end and was near impossible to get the check to leave. When we got the check, the addition was wrong with an extra $14 added without explanation. I was probably too anxious to finally be able to leave that I missed this error. It sucks that the experience was tainted, because the burrito was good. I may try it again based on the food alone, but I wouldn’t go out of my way and would probably order it to go so I don’t feel trapped there again.

I ordered a steak burrito , but it was mostly a Rice Burrito! Barely any meat mostly rice and that was it! No beans, no pico de gallo , no cheese , nothing ! I came to this place today 09/20/20 and ordered 3 Steak Burritos $36.00 , 1 Large horchata$8.00, 1 large tamarind $8.00, 1 small guava drink $3.50 and 1 bottle of water $2.00. I paid a total of 82.00 cash and left $15.00 tip. As I’m asking the lady’s there why is it my bill high because the number on the menu didn’t add up to the total I did in my head, one of the lady’s said to me very rude that they’re changing me the rest in tip and I replied back and said I left you $15.00 in tips already on the table she said oh well!! I walked away and thought that this is NOT a place that I want to recommend or bring my family back to eat and that’s the reason why I give this place a 0. No good customer service and the worse that they NEVER NOTIFY US THAT TIP WAS INCLUDED IN OUR BILL UNTIL I WENT BACK TO THE RESTAURANT AND ASKED. IM SORRY FOR THE OWNER OF THIS PLACE.

I am giving Los 3 Potrillos a 1 Star rating because of their blatant racism. I never liked to call a place races or utilized the race card but when it is needed I will use it. Before I can say it was racism let me tell you what happened and you can decide for yourself I stepped into the restaurant to get some food at 11:30 a.m. when I walked inside there was a Spanish customer sitting at the bar and was waiting for his food. I sat right next to him The workers didn't even acknowledge me I took a menu looked at it and waited to order,15 minutes went past and still not one of the four workers acknowledge me being there at 11:50 a family of four came inside the restaurant they were seated was given water a menu and then the waitress went to them and proceeded to take their order, meanwhile I am still sitting at the bar waiting for someone to take my order. As a 50 year old African American man I found that to be a slap in my face especially since the family of four was of Latin descent and they clearly came to the restaurant after me. Clearly the workers need to understand that you don't treat customers like that. I was appalled and disgusted with their actions there is never and I mean never any reason to treat anyone like this I'm sure with my whole heart if I was Spanish or Latin descent I would have been served and I think the worst part that this is I'm married to a Spanish woman so I know how to speak the language very well and I know when I'm being ignored. I hope that Los Tres Potrillos look at this review and understand that they lost a very good customer and a lot of business because I will make sure that I spread this word about how I was treated.

Horrible. I came in and was the only customer and sat at the bar. It took over 15 minutes for anyone to ask me for my order even though I made eye contact with no less than 3 servers. I’m a Vegan, so I understood my options would be extremely limited. So I order their basic nacho dish without cream, and without cheese. They then proceeded to serve me nachos with cheese not once, but twice. 40 minutes after I walked in, I was finally served a plate of cold, bland nachos with canned pickled jalapeños. I ate the jalapeños as they were they only flavor in the entire dish and left the rest for the bin. Worst $10 I’ve ever spent and I once drunk downloaded a Ke$ha album.

Check your bill before you pay. They save some sneaky tactics and are banking that you drank too much to catch them. And a 4.5% surcharge for using a credit card is ILLEGAL, the max is 4%. I had to go through hell to get my transaction voided, still waiting for it to hit my bank.

Unfortunately I am not a fan of this establishment. My coworker and I ordered passion fruit margaritas. They were huge, but overly sweet. Do not expect freshly made margaritas. Service is pretty much non-existent along with our drinks we ordered an appetizer, which never came, but instead of reminding the waiter we just let him continue playing with his phone. After sitting for a while you'll notice there is a strange smell, that is not pleasant at all. We visited around 4:30 in the afternoon Maybe two tables were occupied. Definitely have no intention of returning the service, the drinks, and the atmosphere is completely lackluster.

Horrible customer service! I ordered food for delivery (visiting from out of town) and never received it. They claim they called me and I didn’t answer the phone. No one ever called my phone! I called back and asked if they were coming. The young lady said let me check and hung up. After waiting an additional 20 minutes (I had already been waiting 45), I called back. She then proceeded to tell me that they had been calling and I didn’t answer. I’ve been sitting in this hotel room for over an hour and my phone hasn’t rung and neither has my room phone! She said she would have him bring the food after he did another delivery. Ma’am!!! I’ve already been waiting over an hour, do you think I want that cold food?!?!? Ugh! I tried to give them the benefit of doubt but this is now day 2 and they just can’t get it right! Yesterday our tacos were wet and mushy. Won’t be trying them EVER AGAIN!

One of the worst experience I’ve ever had. I ordered for a deliver since 8pm. Called back at 9pm. Told them it’s been an hour and then they told me it’s on its way. Called back at 10pm saying I’ve waited for 2 hours, and then they started scrambling, asking if I asked for a pick up and not a delivery. I said, no, you gals clearly asked for my address and number. It was Fathers Day and my friends and I decided to eat at this nice place. However, our experience there was an absolute 1/10. This man kept singing for more than an hour and I could not even hear my friends talking across from me on the table. Our food took almost an hour to arrive and when the check was brought up to us, everything was rounded to the next nearest whole number and their service fee was already applied. I had asked this lady to tell the man if he could lower the music—nothing happened. She instead came back to tell me that he doesn’t want to. Decent food but OVERPRICED! They're at least 6 to 10 dollars more per dish than the other, similar restaurants in the neighborhood. They're also a little sneaky with how they bill people. They have a "Non-Cash Charge". Never seen this before. Also, prices on the menu are different than what they actually charge you when they bring the check. I asked our waitress, she said the menus was old 🤣

They want to confuse you when your bill comes and try to overcharge you for food. Not to mention if you add up all your food- there is still an extra charge for $11-$13- a 15% charge which is gratuity and when your receipt comes they still want you to tip on top of that? Ridiculous. I’ve had food on food trucks for cheaper and tastier. The singer was great but besides that all was mediocre.

I went to this place as a recommendation from my friend because she wanted to check it out. They offered outdoor seating now due to corona. Overall when we first arrived we just wanted drinks but after awhile of enjoying the music and atmosphere, we decided to order food, at this point we are there for a good while. I ordered the food in spanish with the woman with glasses at the bar instead of the waitress. Big mistake. I told her what me and my friend wanted. That is when the misunderstanding started, I asked for shrimp tacos and carne asada tacos for me. But the woman at the bar noted it as a platter which I was not aware of. Then back with the waitress, my friend decides she wants rice and refried beans also with her tacos, so she orders it. Food arrives, I don't see my carne asada tacos, I mentioned it and instead of realizing the error, the woman with glasses from the bar says I do not get my refund for the food because the platter comes with rice and refried beans and my friend was eating it. I told her my friend ordered herself rice and refried beans, we only received one order of it. The waitress confirms she took an order from my friend. The woman with the glasses begins looking around for a second tray of rice and refried beans, like we hid it. 🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️ My friend paid for her food and they charged for her order of rice and refried beans. So there should have been two, this is not my fault. She was incredibly rude to me, even after I explain to her, she did not care what I had to say. There was sno manager to speak to either to clear it up. It ruined our mood and night. The waitress, she was done for the night but stayed and was just so sweet with us, she even offered to pay for my tacos when she did not have to. You should expect that from the person that took my order wrong. I will not be returning there and neither is my friend, if that is how they treat customers, be prepared to blamed and treated with carelessness. Ofrecían asientos al aire libre ahora debido a la corona. En general, cuando llegamos, solo queríamos bebidas, pero después de un tiempo de disfrutar de la música y el ambiente, decidimos pedir comida, en este punto estamos allí por un buen rato. Pedí la comida en español con la mujer con gafas en el bar en lugar de la camarera. Gran error. Le dije lo que mi amiga y yo queríamos. Fue entonces cuando comenzó el malentendido, pedí tacos de camarones y tacos de carne asada para mí. Pero la mujer en el bar lo notó como un plato. Luego, de regreso con la camarera, mi amiga decide que quiere arroz y frijoles refritos también con sus tacos, por lo que lo ordena. Llega la comida, no veo mis tacos de carne asada, lo mencioné y, en lugar de darme cuenta del error, la mujer con gafas del bar dice que no recibo mi reembolso por la comida porque el plato viene con arroz y frijoles refritos y mi amiga se lo estaba comiendo. Le dije que mi amiga se había pedido arroz y frijoles refritos, solo recibimos una orden. La camarera confirma que tomó una orden de mi amiga. La mujer de las gafas comienza a buscar una segunda bandeja de arroz y frijoles refritos, como si lo hubiéramos escondido. 🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️ Mi amiga pagó por su comida y le cobraron por su pedido de arroz y frijoles refritos. Entonces debería haber habido dos, esto no es mi culpa. Ella fue increíblemente grosera conmigo, incluso después de explicárselo, no le importó lo que tenía que decir. No había un gerente sino alguien con quien hablar. Arruinó nuestro estado de ánimo y nuestra noche. La camarera, había terminado por la noche, pero se quedó y fue tan dulce con nosotros que incluso se ofreció a pagar mis tacos cuando no tenía que hacerlo. Deberías esperar eso de la persona que tomó mi orden equivocada. No volveré allí.
