Pecoraro Latteria Brooklyn Reviews
Love everything about this restaurant! Ambiance and staff are so incredible and the food never disappoints. Amazing brunch and dinner option for both friend groups and dates. Can’t recommend enough!
We love this place. We’ve eaten here twice and we were just blown away by everything this time we had the Kale Caesar (so much better than almost any other we’ve had), the tagliatelle with pistachio pesto and artichokes, some sort of amazing ricotta filled lemon sage ravioli, and the stuffed fried zucchini flowers and pistachio tiramisu. I’ll be thinking about it all until I come back next!
We had the best time celebrating my sons baptism at Pecoraro. Staff was very attentive & accommodating, food was amazing!
Excellent!! Absolutely delighted to have this place in the area. Great pasta, my kid’s favorite pizza by far and great for lunch. We love the cornetto pasties! ❤️ Fantastic place to grab high quality Italian produce. Always great service. Must go and try it!
Absolutely incredible Italian food. The best suppli I've ever had outside of Rome. Top notch ingredients. Pizza, mozz, chicken Milanese, chef's kiss..never disappointed!
Amazing food, coffee and cocktails. I’ve been here a couple of times, their sourdough bread is really good. Their focaccia and sfincione are really good and they’re like the ones I had in Italy. The aperol spritz is good and balanced. I really enjoyed the vibe of the place. The espresso is like the ones I have in Italy, very low in acidity and with a round robust flavor. Special mention to cannoli siciliani, these are really like the ones from Italy: no vanilla and real sheep ricotta. Strongly recommended if you want authentic Italian food.
Lovely little corner spot with a great ambiance! Food is outstanding - can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Pasta and cheese is extremely fresh, drinks are amazing and the service is great as well. Highly recommend
Excellent coffee and and service. Pastry was very good also.
My partner and I absolutely love this place. We used to live nearby and it was our go to. We still go back regularly even though we live much further away now. The food never disappoint, the setting is very cosy and the people are very nice. One of our favorite places in New York !
Cute little Italian restaurant, with a great atmosphere. Walked in on a Saturday night and we were able to sit a group of 4 no problem. The waiter was super attentive and took great care of us. Amazing pizza, salads, and pastas. I'd definitely come back here and bring friends
I’ve somehow only ever gotten takeout sandwiches from here but each one has been absolutely delicious and ready within minutes. Definitely big enough to comfortably split between 2 people. Looking forward to eventually dining in for dinner here soon!
Love this place, really a relatively hidden gem. Everything they do is pretty spot on. Focaccia is great, pastries are great, chicken cutlets are great. Underrated for sure - there quality indicates they’d be busy all the time but yet it seems slow when i’m there to pick up lunch or dinner. Really hoping they stick around.
Pesto pasta is amazing! It was creamy and the portion sizes were quite good
I want to leave this review because this is my favorite Italian restaurant in Williamsburg! This is my go to place every time I’m craving roasted chicken with potatoes and the beet salad is a must! Such a good place!
Absolutely terrific! Al dente fresh pastas, spot on sides, fabulous service, and very lovely Italy-inspired decor inside. I like it for small groups or a solo spot for a delicious dinner or lunch. PS also a market that has great cheeses, nduja, fresh semolina loaves, and more.
The pasta is to die for. And they make their own cheese in house!
Great pizza! Great salad! Totally recommend!
Absolutely great time at my son's favorite Italian restaurant in Brooklyn. The food was fantastic - salad, margherita pizza and I had the Cacio y Pepe and it was great. I tried the gnocchi and pacheri were also really good too. Service was great and the negroni delightful. Will definitely be back.
Peco is one of the most underrated restaurants in New York! I live close by and drop in all the time. The pizza, pasta and Sicilian wines (try the Arneis) are excellent. Couldn’t recommend more highly!
Love this place so much. Such a cool environment To eat in and the food is always perfect. Haven’t had a bad bite here yet. Love this little neighborhood spot. Feels like you’re eating in someone’s kitchen.
incredible food & drinks, had such a lovely time here with a group of 4 for dinner! lowkey vibes, music is super quiet so you can fully hear each other 🙏
Amazing restaurant with very good food. Beautiful garlic “focaccia”, creste, corn pizza and more. The long haired waiter was very attentive and kind.
Great service, delicious wine, food is even better. I had the grilled artichokes, which were to die for, summer salad, burrata di buffala, focaccia and pomodoro pasta and everything was great! I highly recommend. Also love the casual vibes.
Don’t even play around. Get the pacherria, and the garlic focaccia bread. Dip the bread in the sauce, you’re welcome. Service is elite too
I haven’t been inside yet, but I ordered through Uber Eats—and wow, I’m impressed! Their sandwiches are amazing, especially their coffee (shaken pistachio espresso). I’m super picky when it comes to food, but this place did not disappoint. I definitely want to visit in person and try more from their menu!
By Far the BEST! Italian food in the country. I happened to be in the neighborhood and I saw the name Pecoraro Latteria, and out of curiosity I went in to find out what they were about because the translation in Italian Pecoraro means Shepperd and Latteria means the milk store, it turned out that the founder last name was Pecoraro and he was doing the same profession when he was in Italy and when he moved to the states he continued the same tradition. and I said to my self he couldn't have chosen a better profession with the last name Pecoraro. I also truly mean it was the best place I ate at and I have been going back ever since and I travel more then an hour to go to it and everyone I took there with me got hooked and has been doing the same ever since. Great food, Great Service, Great prices, Authentic cosine, and Great Service Cant ask for anything more!!!
GF pasta switches every night, the spicy rigatoni was great, IMO better than Carbone. Their version of an espresso martini is a cold brew with whiskey - sooo good. highly recommend. the fraser salad is also great as well, burrata w bread and margarita pizza were great from what i heard
Five stars for the portions, pricing, flavors, and playlist at Pecoraro Latteria. I stopped by a few weeks ago and haven’t stopped daydreaming about the Blood Orange Croissant since. They were out of croissants today when my friend and I stopped for lunch, so I’d recommend going early to catch them before they sell out. We split the Pollo and Combo Paninis and both were extremely generous portions with amazing flavor. We agreed that the Combo was the winner of the two — it was stacked with a variety of meats and thick slices of fresh mozzarella and tomatoes. Can’t wait to go back and try more of the menu.
As I describe to friends, my favorite Italian food with the strangest service. The food is consistently incredible but I always get a very strange waiter and the service is usually subpar. With that being said, food and prices are so good that you can count on me going back soon🤣
I just moved around the corner from this store and wowee I'm so glad to have it in the neighborhood! The food is fresh and delicious and the crew is very warm and kind.
Excellent food and great variety—would definitely come back. The wait for food was a bit long, and the noise level can get really high when the place is full, so something to keep in mind. Still, a standout spot overall.
I couldn’t ask for a better location to host my baby shower. Pecoraro is one of our favorite restaurants. The food is always incredible. Their burrata, suppli, pastas, and pizzas make me feel like I’m back in Italy. The burrata is made in-house and is so fresh. It is our first recommendation for out of town guests. For my shower, the owner worked with us to design the menu so there were options for guests to choose from that took dietary restrictions into account. We were also able to close the restaurant for a private event. They made us feel like VIPs. We had beautiful passed appetizers and a special drink. The staff are wonderful and made sure everyone had what they needed. They were easy to coordinate with to bring in our own decor for the tables to add to the atmosphere. I highly recommend whether you want a date night or to host a private event.
No notes. Had the mortadella sandwich and it was so fresh that I’m sure all the ingredients came straight from Italy. I kept saying wow, wow,wow while walking and eating my sandwich. So fresh so light so balanced. 5 stars.
Great spot in the neighborhood. Perfect for a nice dinner or brunch, whole team there is super. Also recommend as place to pick up lunch when working from home... Bread on their sammies is great and everything is quality.
Hands down, the best Italian food in the city! The service was warm and welcoming, and the food was beyond delicious. The truffle pasta was out of this world, and the bruschetta was the freshest I’ve ever had. Highly recommend!
What an awesome spot. Deli/market by day and awesome dinner spot by night. Lauren was warm, welcoming and very personable. The owner, Claudio, was an absolute pleasure to speak with. He made me feel like a member of the family upon my arrival. I had the artichokes for an app along with a white wine that is made by Claudio himself from his family's vineyard in Sicily. For an entree I had the Ricotta Gnocchi with truffle oil....out of this world deliciousness! It happened to be pizza night ($15 for all pizzas) sad I didn't get to try one, but a couple of ladies down the bar from me and it looked incredible. Can't wait to go back!
Really awesome, Italian restaurant and market. You can buy fresh mozzarella that is made every day, Fresh pasta, stock up on high quality balsamic vinegar, olive oil, buy fresh bread, and so much more. The food is crazy good, pizza’s, pasta, wine, cocktails, sandwiches, paninis... so happy this place is in the hood.
The food is great and the people working are always super nice. Takeout is lightning fast. Amazing lunch option in the area!
Delicious doesn’t begin to describe the food, the staff (specifically Johnathan) was so sweet and funny. This was a pleasant stop for us thank you.
Absolutely a new favorite! The food was tasty and portions were just right.
I never write reviews but had to because I got catering from here for my birthday and it was amazing! We had more than enough food for 17 people as each platter is very large. They were all delicious- highly recommend the gnocchi. Claudio was very helpful throughout the ordering process. Definitely recommend for hosting an event!
Absolutely blown away by the food here. Everything we ate was FANTASTIC. They make pretty much everything in house including the cheese. Highlight for me was the pesto Fusilli and the Cavatelli. But the mortadella was out of this world good. I’m really not sure why it his place doesn’t have more hype around it. It’s beautiful inside. The service is great and the food is as good as any top Italian in the city.
It is a great lunch location with outdoor and indoor seating. From choices of salads to the meats everything is well prepared, grilled chicken very soft not dry as well as the Milanese cutlet not greasy, cut very thin to give you just the right amount of friend flavored chicken. The spritz come in a few variations such as limoncello, herbal liquor spritz … which makes it a perfect refreshing drink for a hot NY summer.
The drinks were perfect and the pasta was amazing! They even had vegetarian options and the service was great. The only thing if I had to be extra picky would be that the pasta was not as hot as I would have expected but it was well cooked and the sauce was 10/10 Would recommend and I’ll be coming back!
What a gem! Had such a lovely meal on a quiet Sunday evening. Had a salad, Pizza and a pasta and honestly felt like can't go wrong with any food item. Service was sweet and attentive as well! Even got a cookie treat for the road <3 Highly recommended
I HATE gnocchi… but my friend ordered their gnocchi dish here and it really changed my life. Every dish was amazing (my favorite is their spicy vodka one) but I think my new favorite is the gnocchi 😭 the focaccia bread was also soo delicious!! I love this place!!! Please don’t ever take the gnocchi off the menu!! Joshua is also an amazing creator at his drinks!!
This establishment offers an exceptional dining experience. Reservations are highly recommended due to its immense popularity. The service is outstandingly professional, and the atmosphere is superb. The flavors, savory notes, and presentation of the dishes are truly exceptional and heavenly. Domingo showcases remarkable talent in mixology and offers excellent recommendations with infectious enthusiasm. I have already decided to become a regular patron. I would like to extend my gratitude to Josh for consistently providing my companion and me with outstanding service, particularly during her first visit. Additionally, I appreciate Jean Paul's warm and personable greeting. I highly recommend this Williamsburg gem to everyone. Happy Holidays!!!
I’ve now tried Pecoraro for lunch and for dinner and they really cannot miss! Food is delicious and fresh, the chicken Milanese with vodka sauce was insanely good, and the service is always excellent! Overall an amazing neighborhood spot for any time of the day
We just had a great experience at Pecoraro’s with Giovanni as our server. He was attentive and funny and we all loved him. Everyone working was lovely and had good energy. That alone would bring me back. Food was tasty - we shared their fries for an appetizer and the aioli was delightful. My only negative is that the appetizers are a lil pricy. Our main dishes were all flavorful and filling and I’d recommend the Paccheri most out of the 3 dishes we had.
The paccheri was out of this world—the ragú was silky, rich, and perfectly al dente. The pizza hit every note: gloriously cheesy with a crust that was equal parts airy and crisp. The mocha latte was divine, and the tiramisu struck that rare balance of light, creamy, and not too sweet. To top it off, the servers were all smiles—warm, welcoming, and genuinely delightful.
The greatest deal on Tuesdays and Wednesday! $39 3 course pasta menu on Tuesday and $39 3 course pizza menu on Wednesday. The Paccheri comes in a tomato cream sauce that smokes Carbone’s penne vodka any day! Tiramisu is perfect balance of espresso soaked ladyfingers and creamy mascarpone. Love this spot
such amazing food! to start we got the mozzarella di bufala with the garlic focaccia (didn't look like a typical focaccia but tasted wonderfully garlicky and pillowy). couldn't decide on the pasta so went with our waiter's rec for the tonnarelli, paccheri, and the seasonal creste. all perfectly cooked and each flavorful and delicious in their own right. can't recommend enough!
My husband and I had our baby shower here. It was a wonderful experience. The owner was so helpful planning the menu and making sure every guest had more then enough to eat. All of our guest’a special needs were met without issue and everything tasted fresh as if it came straight of Italy. Dessert and coffee rounded out the meal. Overall, it was an amazing day and the staff at Pecoraro Latteria made it all happen. Great food and a beautiful space to celebrate our new baby. Our event was in December of 2024 and our guest continue to compliment us on how wonderful the event space was to this day.
I had the pleasure of hosting three separate bridal/baby showers at Pecoraro Latteria over the course of the past year. It probably sounds crazy to use the same venue three times, but after hosting the first shower, there was really no sense in going anywhere else. We had approximately 50 people each time and had the entire restaurant to ourselves. The food was the star of the show. This wasn’t a typical shower menu where you get some forgettable, perfunctory meal. The food was more akin to what you’d expect for a special occasion date night. We had passed hors d'oeuvres for the first hour, followed by a three course sit down meal, and then coffee and dessert. I worked with Claudio to come up with the menus, he was wonderful and put great care into every detail. Our guests included older, picky ladies right from Italy, and they unanimously gave the food a five star review, it was well worth the trip to trendy Williamsburg for them. The service and cocktails were excellent as well. Overall Pecoraro Latteria is a terrific place to host an event, a breath of fresh air from the usual catering hall.
Really cute brunch spot, waiter was super sweet and helpful. We got 3 dishes to share between 3 friends and the portions were perfect. The pesto pasta is one of the best i’ve ever had!! The pancakes were also exquisite. Pizza was good but not nearly as good as the other two. The eggplant was also very yummy. Would go back - really reasonable prices.
I’m not one to write reviews very often, but I couldn’t NOT write one for this restaurant. Everything was perfect. The focaccia appetizer was by far the best appetizer I’ve ever had in my life. The pistachio pesto was amazing. The chili vodka sauce was the perfect level of spicy, the pasta tasted fresh, and the house made mozzarella was tasty. The service was great, and the vibe was chill and cozy. Highly recommend the pistachio cannoli for dessert.
great food, nice space. seems to be stuck in the purgatorial space between fantastic date night spot and order for takeout restaurant. perhaps if prices were slightly lower, patronage would be higher, tables could be closer? really quite good food
I have read many reviews saying that the food is not very good. I have to disagree. We enjoyed the food and shared it amongst each other. I will say the portions you get for the price could be better and the drinks were small.(Hence 4 stars) However, the food was delicious! We had an appetizer, 2 entrées, a coke, and a mixed drink for about 90 dollars. The staff was quick to greet and sit, it was moderately busy. The food was prepared quickly. The decor has a modern look with a relaxing ambience, that makes time go by quickly. The portion size is the only negative I have to say. Would we go back? Yes, we would.
Stopped by Pecoraro. We were sat immediately for dinner. Three of us ordered: metro pizza $24, toppings fell off, very wet pizza chicory caesar $15 paccheri $26 fettucini bolongese $26 Staff was friendly. Flavors were good for the most part. Wasn't the biggest fan of the pizza. Nice ambiance inside.
Great service. Food very meh. Insane amounts of cheese on the pizza given the style. Pastas were fine, but nothing special. If you order very carefully for dinner you can have a good meal but otherwise it's a much better lunch spot, when you can get sandwiches.
Super disappointed by the food at dinner, the wine was also not great!
Didn’t appreciate the service. Staff took a long time to acknowledge me and I was skipped in the line which made me decline my purchase altogether.
The food was delish, pasta I’m pretty sure homemade, but for the prices(20-30 per entree) you get the smallest of sizes. I mean I got the carbonara and there were probably 20 noodles total. It was appetizer size. Also all the wait staff were nice but just kinda gossiped behind the bar and you had to get their attention to take an order or get something. Decent food but for the price n service i dont know if it was worth the bill
The place was very nice and organized in the inside, and the staff was really friendly. But the service wasn't the best. We were sitting there for a long time before they came to take our order, and even longer for them to serve us a simple drink and pastry. The place wasn't busy so I was wondering what took them so much time to get to us. The pricing for the items was a bit on the pricey side than other places. This is just my experience, but it might be different for others. Still thankful to the nice staff for being friendly though.
Looks authentic, but it’s not. Cannoli with some weird cream - clearly they ran out of it and stuffed with something that looks like the right cream, but it wasn’t. Service is also so so.
We have picked up pastries and slices of pizza here before and enjoyed, so we were looking forward to trying brunch. Unfortunately it was very disappointing. We ordered the porchetta “hash” which is not hash at all but a slice of porchetta with an extremely small amount of breakfast potatoes on the side - like half or a third of a portion of potatoes as a side, let alone for an entree of hash. We also ordered the “buttermilk pancakes” made with “wild hive mill buckwheat” - whether they are made with these ingredients or not, they tasted very average and regardless were smothered in chocolate, bananas, powdered sugar, and whipped cream (the latter two not noted on menu) and the side of “maple syrup” was actually just generic pancake syrup. I also ordered a latte to go and was extremely surprised to see that it was an enormous cup, maybe 20oz, and was made scalding hot - not the standard size or correct temperature for a latte, unexpected for an Italian restaurant. The menu description was inaccurate/misleading for both items, the portions were small, and the quality was just ok at best. We might still pick up baked goods to go but will not dine in again.
It pains me to leave a negative review on what used to be my favorite brunch spot in wburg. Unfortunately the menu appears to have gone through a cost cutting exercise, with smaller portions and cheaper ingredients. We used to bring everyone we knew to this place but no longer feel inspired to do that. We’ll be back and I’ll change my review to 5 stars when they bring back the old menu.
I ordered delivery from here. The “chicory Caesar” was fine but I don’t believe there was any chicory in it. And look at the “creamy burrata” on the prosciutto panino. Disgraceful. It was the thinnest possible spread of stracciatella. I never post reviews but this was such a waste of money that I felt the need to put this out there with my name on it for everyone to see.
It wasn't good the pasta was soggy, and the brocolini was extremely bitter waiter made us feel like we needed to be in a rush even though the place was pretty empty, won be back
Bland food, and I had to wait over an hour to get it. Small portions left me hungry after the meal, so I went across the street to get a pizza, which was tastier and more filling. And who puts corn in a lobster ravioli??
