Taj Kebab King Albans Reviews
Best Indian food in the neighborhood! They will make your dish extra spicy or mild upon request which is great!! The chicken tika masala is too good! Highly reccomend this place!
Such a great place! They give you dosa to munch on while waiting and the staff is so nice. I got the tandoori chicken which was amazing!! Super quick too but extremely flavorful
From the same owner as the original Taj Mahal on 6th St in Manhattan two decades ago. Also the same owner as Taj Mahal on 3rd Ave in BK. Prices have doubled since 20 yrs for a lunch special ($12.99 + tax, seafood a bit more). Comes with pappadam, mulligatawny, chutney, naan, entree and rice. Kinda close to the Metropolitan L train and the Grand Ave buses. spiced pretty well just like I remembered it
Great spot for a quick lunch meal in the hood if you love Indian, fair priced and made to order this little gem has always been a favorite of mine, it won’t win any massive awards but you will leave happy and full with a twinge of spice on your lips. I had the veggie lunch great price and licked the plate clean! Will return again.
Came here very late on a saturday evening. Not the best Indian food I've ever had in New York but it's top quintile for sure, and excellent value for the price. They thankfully turned on the AC for us as it was a very hot night. Would definitely come back here again--great late night option!
Food is sooo good and staff are friendly and nice. We live across the corner from the restaurant and since we discover it, we go there at least once a week! I am vegan and so far loves all their vegan options that I tried. The staff are also happy to accommodate my diet and create more dairy free dishes for me
I lost my laundry card so I had to actually go out to do laundry. Good for me because I found a really nice Indian restaurant right next door to the laundromat. The menu is large with a very good list of traditional Indian food. Everything is made fresh, even the lassi. I’m totally impressed. Ab, and Abir were my hosts and they are very nice well mannered people. The menu offers 20 different vegetarian dishes and 5 side dish offers. That’s a lot for any restaurant. Vegans should ask about certain dishes. It’s walking distance from me, and no one likes fresh baked nan with sag paneer more then me. They even offer spicy like they eat it at home. I’m so elated.
Comparing To The Old Place, The New Restaurant That They Built Is Much Much More Better And It Looks Beautiful. The Food Is Also For Some Reason Tastes So Good Than Before. Everyone I Recommend You To Try The Food At This Restaurant. 472 Grand St (cross street: Lorimer st)zipe code:11206, NY Brooklyn.
I love Indian food and since I just opened a barbershop in the area I started to look and found this place .this spot is amazing chicken tikka marsala with rice , nan and the vegetables samosa as an appetizer they do it mild but I asked for spicy which I love and it definitely taste amazing and fresh thanks guys
Walked in to order pickup, the food took 30 minutes with only a couple of uber eats pickups in the meantime - definitely not a quick lunch and they weren't busy. There were sounds from the kitchen like they were knocking over pots and pans and dropping food on the floor. The naan was doughy and undercooked. The lamb vindaloo portion was small, and it was spicy but otherwise not very well flavored. The pakora was crispy though, and the chutneys were fine.
Used to be my occasional late night snack go to when I was hungry. Haven't ordered from them in a while (since before they moved locations), and tonight was unfortunately pretty terrible. Tikka ghost sheek was minimal portion and cold, banana pakora was lukewarm dry and flavorless, garlic naan was comparable to store bought pita. I usually don't leave negative reviews but felt compelled to do so tonight. I don't know if they were feeling lazy since they were closing in an hour and it was a Wednesday or if they've just completely gone downhill but I'll definitely be taking a long break from ordering from them again.
One of the worst lamb vindaloos I’ve ever had and hands down the worst naan I’ve ever had. I wouldn’t even call that bread “naan.” If you’re looking for decent Indian food, stay far away from this place.
Worst Indian food I have ever had. We ordered a couple of times and it’s always the same over colored, super oily and reused oil, old rice dishes. Absolutely inedible I had throw it all our.
horrible indian food. spices off. food coloring used. meat overcooked..
Garage! The food was disgusting. You ppl cannot make mulligatawny soup at all. Salty, bitter and oily. Taste more like food colored tomato soup. Samosas were terrible. The ground beef was old and the outer bread pastry was overcooked. Paratha layered bread was the worse I ever had in my life. Not only was it smaller than most I’ve ever had but the entire bread broke into pieces. The only thing that was good was the side condiments. It took me two days to get a refund back but I will never order from your restaurant again. 🗑️
In case my future self is looking at this menu and thinking about ordering Taj Kabab King take-out again: DON'T DO IT. All the dishes I've ordered taste more like dirty cooking oil than any of the meat or vegetable ingredients! The saag paneer is brown from excessive oil that tastes like it has been reused. Am I eating leftovers that have been recooked? The artificial dye used in other dishes is unnecessary and speaks to the general carelessness of all the dishes I've tried. I remember thinking a lassi would be tasty & refreshing...The money that I thought I saved ordering from here was wasted on the saltiest sip which burned my tongue. The lassi was unsalvagable and went directly down the drain.😟 What a waste. Does anybody preparing this food care about it? Would they dare to eat it? 🤔😕 I've made the mistake of ordering from here after a few bad experiences, and this is the final time. My gut is in pain and my heart broken. 🚽 💔
