Suzume Brooklyn Reviews
Found this place by accident and have been back a few times. Superb ramen. Better broth than or as good as most of the more lauded ramen shops out there. They also do some great braised pork dishes. And awesome cocktails. Understated, casual vibe. Love it.
I cannot recommend this place more. The food is delicious, the Sake menu is top tier, but above all else the service is impecable. Jill, Barb, and the rest of the team take time to ensure their customers are fully enjoying their expierence. It is a small special place. Definitely make a point to come here
Came here for a solo lunch and loved the cute, comfortable atmosphere. Tried the crispy guabao—flavorful with a nice kick, and the texture was just right. The salmon ramen came with bok choy and kelp, which I appreciated since it’s always nice to find a dish that balances protein and veggies, especially when eating solo.
The kitchen team knows how to balance flavors well. This spot's hygiene complements its cool energy. Their food quality comes from good cooking and fresh components. The staff provided efficient assistance with kind and accommodating behavior. I enjoyed the quality and service equally.
What a beautiful, cozy and warm atmosphere. More importantly, the food is AMAZING. So far, everything I’ve had on the menu has been DELICIOUS. The chef really knows what she’s doing. Jill, the owner does an excellent job ensuring her guests receive exemplary service in an atmosphere that is welcoming to all. For those of you who do not drink alcohol, have no fear. The mocktails are thee best.
This place is amazing! Their food is so good and I love the ambiance and decor. The service was good, definitely got busy after 6pm on a Tuesday evening so keep that in mind. They have a wide variety of fun drinks, including mocktails! I got the vegetarian broth-free noodles and omg they were so good. It has the fried tofu with perfect seasonings, probably the best tofu I've ever had. And the noodles were the perfect texture and flavor.
such a cute little spot, perfect for dinner with a small group of friends or date night. there was a fusion of options on the menu from filipino to japanese. standout of the meal for me was the ube ice cream for dessert which was soft, smooth, and creamy and had these little crunchy bits on top for the perfect bite. 💘
My friend and I went here on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. I’ve been to this spot once before but during my most recent experience I had such a good time I had to write about it. We had made a reservation before but on a Saturday around 12:30 it wasn’t too full. The space itself is on the smaller side which gives it a cozy feel. I’d come here with a small group or one other friend. When it came Time to order I went with the fried chicken bowl which left me filled and also had great flavor. Overall a good dining experience in a trendy area. Go check it out!
This is a cute and cozy place but the food was not good. I got the salmon ramen and it was so bland. The salmon was over cooked, the broth had no flavor, and they forgot the ramen egg. Super underwhelming and disappointing. Decent cocktail but inattentive service, maybe they’re understaffed. Reply to owner: I was never asked about my meal. I placed my order, 15min later received the drink and ramen at the same time, ate my meal, and asked for the check. That was the extent of my interaction with the bartender. I was there around 6pm on 12/6. Thanks for the advice on how to eat at a bar. Next time I’ll raise my hand and ask them to please bring me miso paste or anything with flavor to make the bowl of salty water more appetizing. I honestly I had nightmares about this dish. No amount of hot sauce helped. The salmon was dry, had a flaky texture and lacked the rich, buttery smoothness of properly cooked fish. It looked dull and chalky, and crumbled awkwardly.
