Terre Brooklyn Reviews
Super Italian place 🤌🏼 🇮🇹 Wine is great! We tried red and white!🍷 Pasta was nice 🍝 Sounds weird but I loved the vintage fans on a ceiling 👏🏼 Very cute place for a date 🌹
Dinner was excellent (tried the burrata, cacio e pepe, and the tiramisu). The servers were all excellent, and we really enjoyed the wine. The only downside is the the dishes are on the higher end of the price scale. The space is tight so expect some noise, but it makes the atmosphere feel lively and welcoming. Would could back on a special occasion!
This place is glorious. Delicious dishes, fresh pasta, and excellent wines. Lovely ambiance, but casual and not at all stuffy. Wonderful staff as well! Love it love it love it. Strong recommendation.
Whenever I am in NYC, I always make it a point to visit Terre! The close and charming tables are comfortable, and the ambience is authentic. The back garden is equally fun, we have visited on a rainy day, and our server was dashing between the umbrellas. Looking for a tasty treat, ask for the vinaigrette flight, it is not on the menu, but a fabulous way to start your adventure. Orange wine is also a plus. Enjoy!
My husband and I had our NYE dinner at Terre and were truly delighted by the food and ambiance! The waitstaff were so lovely and kind, and seemed truly happy to work there, which made the night full of fun and magic! We each ordered a marvelous pasta dish and were very happy with the quality of the food! The design of the restaurant is so cute, it reminded us of an Italian restaurant in Paris we had visited in the past. The vibes were romantic, cozy and lively. The waitstaff really made the evening with their enthusiasm and welcoming attitudes. I would absolutely return here!
We visited Terrell Pasta and Natural Wine with two friends and my wife, and the entire experience was exceptional. We tried the squash risotto and the beef lasagna, and both dishes were outstanding—beautifully prepared, rich in flavor, and perfectly balanced. The restaurant itself is extraordinary. It has an impressive amount of space extending toward the back, and the rustic fan system creates a unique, charming touch that sets the tone from the moment you walk in. The soft, warm lighting adds to the atmosphere, making it ideal for a relaxed and intimate meal. One of the highlights is the wine-selection experience. Instead of choosing blindly, they offer small tastings so you can find the wine you truly love. It’s simply masterful and elevates the whole dining experience. Prices are on the higher side, but the quality, ambiance, and overall experience make it absolutely worth it. Highly recommended for a memorable night out. 🍷✨
An evening at TERRE BK is a reminder of how special true Italian cooking can be. This beautiful, intimate Brooklyn restaurant offers a genuine farm-to-table experience, with so many of their ingredients crafted in-house. We began with a classic Burrata e Prosciutto, the perfect balance of creaminess and salt. For our main courses, we enjoyed the handmade Pasta "Terrelle" al Ragù, a Mediterranean branzino wrapped in a delicate potato crust, and Gnocchetti served with burrata and porcini mushrooms also adding a secret menu creamy dish! Each dish carried the depth and freshness that only house-made ingredients can provide. Paired with their own homemade Sauvignon Blanc, the entire meal felt thoughtful, warm, and beautifully executed an evening filled with great attentive service, authentic flavors and a truly comforting atmosphere.
It’s been a long time since I’ve been at a restaurant that really impressed me and Terre did that. Both of our dishes (the venison and the boar pastas) were so scrumptious, and there were several other items on the menu (including desserts) that I will be going back to explore. The service was excellent and the courtyard in the back was so well decorated, it took me back to my Florence days :) Highly recommend! Definitely get a reservation on a weekend or holiday though!
This is our new favorite Italian restaurant hands down! The delectable dishes (all 5 dishes we had including dessert were 10/10), cozy beautiful ambiance, and unmatched service made for a truly magical evening despite it being a rainy, dreary day. My husband and I love experiences and good food, and this restaurant offered both. You can always tell when people take pride in what they do and this was consistently palpable across all elements of the experience from the restaurant owner to the staff - thank you Daniele and team. Go! You’ll leave with your belly and hearts so full!
A true Brooklyn gem! Terre is a beautiful restaurant—cozy yet vibrant, with a romantic ambiance that instantly makes you feel at ease. I went with a friend, but the warm lighting and inviting atmosphere made it clear this would be a perfect spot for a first date or an intimate anniversary dinner. The food was absolutely delicious—thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. From start to finish, everything felt intentional and heartfelt. I’ll definitely be coming back! :)
SIMPLY PERFECT! Beyond having the best pasta (vegetarian gnocchi) and a delicious Vermouth Spritz, the appetizers and every course were incredible. The server was a extremely accommodating and made sure to explain every dish at detail. The atmosphere was fantastic, enhanced by a great duo playing live music that truly elevated the experience. There’s nothing like tasteful live music to set the mood for the night. My only suggestion would be to offer more vegetarian options, but everything else made for an unforgettable evening.
One of the best Italian restaurants I have been to. The food here is consistently delicious. I am gluten and dairy free. Their gluten free bread (made in house) is soft and chewy and the best I have ever had. I have tried their olive oil sampler and artichoke crostini with the bread, both fantastic. For mains, I have tried cod and the octopus. Both dishes were tasty and balanced well. Between the two, the octopus really blew me away. The entire dish was so well balanced with a slight sweet but overall savory taste. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Now the space they have is small and you may feel cramped because it’s always 100% booked…but it’s for a reason. The food is that good.
TL;DR: all the dishes are great but we particularly loved the pesto shrimp pasta and chocolate souffle. Truly a delightful Italian dining experience in a quaint and adorable restaurant. Food, ambiance, and vibes were perfect for a date night or a night out with close friends! I came with two of my close friends and we had an exceptional experience. We started with some of their natural wines, which are handcrafted without preservatives. Our server was excellent and let us try a couple of wines that she recommended before choosing our glasses. We all went with some flavorful and unique orange wines, which were refreshing. We then moved on to our appetizers, a plate of olives and the bruschetta. Of these, the bruschetta was the better choice - the tomatoes were rich and juicy and the olive oil was outstanding. Very flavorful with simple but quality ingredients. Olives were good but didn’t blow us away. For our entrees, we shared a few pasta dishes family style, which I would recommend as it allows you to try several of their dishes. We tried the pesto shrimp pasta, the Tartelle Al Ragu (tomato based meat sauce), and the truffle gnocchi. All of them were excellent, but the king of these was the pesto shrimp fusilli. Truly an outstanding dish, not too heavy, and you could really taste the quality of the pesto. The shrimp were meaty and had a nice snap from the grilling. The Tartelle Al Ragu was lighter and the meat was incredibly tender, while the gnocchi was rich, cheesy, and creamy with a great truffle flavor. Would recommend all of them, but particularly the pesto shrimp fusilli. We ended the night with the molten chocolate souffle with ice cream, which we loved. It has a hint of orange that gives it a bit of a unique twist that fit just right with the rich chocolate and vanilla ice cream. I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the gorgeous decor. It’s got beautiful old brick and wood accents with wine bottles stacked along the cute little tables. It looks like it just dropped out of an Italian village. Would definitely come back here - highly recommend!
Phenomenal Italian food with excellent staff. I have nothing but high regards for this place. Our waiter was extremely accommodating and let us try wines before ordering a bottle. He even took the time to explain the menu in detail to us. I got the pesto shrimp pasta dish , and it was incredible — super flavorful and the perfect portion. I would definitely go back for a double date or with friends!
The atmosphere is very cozy, making it an excellent spot for hanging out with friends. I visited with a group, and we shared several pasta dishes family-style. Our top picks were the pesto shrimp pasta, which had fantastic flavor, and the truffle gnocchi, which was delightfully fluffy. The artichoke toast appetizer was alright, but nothing remarkable. For dessert, we sampled the special panettone, which pleasantly surprised me, and the chocolate hazelnut mousse, which was also quite good. While the prices are somewhat high (especially for the desserts), they aren't unreasonable.
I walked by here the other day and really liked the ambiance so I decided to check it out. Service was good but they were just opening for the evening so it wasn’t busy at all. I found the pasta to be decent but not memorable. I didn’t like that the shrimp wasn’t deveined. The boar pasta was a bit better but I think the beef ragu would’ve been just as good or even better. The portion size is small so you may need to order a couple of apps though almost all menu items are overpriced. We paid $80 for two pastas which included tax and tip. The specials offered were $42. Because of the price and what you get, I’m not sure I’d go back but it is a very warm and charming spot.
Off the bat, our server was amazing! Very friendly and easy to talk with - she made some great suggestions. We originally made a reservation and got seated next to the bathroom, like right in front of it which was a bit awkward. Someone just got out from it when we got seated and you could smell it so we ask to be moved. The food was good but nothing really stood out. The freshness was on point and this is one of the better pasta options in the area but I’m not sure if I’d come back. Would definitely suggest moving the table by the bathroom. I’m all for having a tight space with seats close together but the bathroom table is a no no.
I wouldn’t recommend Terre. It used to be okay, but has gone significantly downhill. TL;DR: extremely overpriced, average quality, and not very customer-focused. • Expect a bill close to $200 for two pastas, one appetizer, and two drinks — with portions that aren’t especially generous. In a neighborhood like Park Slope, there are many better pasta options at this price point. • The pasta itself is on par with nearby restaurants, not noticeably better to justify the 40-50% higher pricing. And again, smaller portions. • Wine experience is particularly bad: there’s no wine menu, and instead you’re asked to spin a map and are served a glass without being told the price. Some glasses are as high as $27. • Overall lack of thoughtfulness. I noted in the reservation that we were celebrating my partner’s birthday, but there was no acknowledgment at all — no candle, no small gesture, not even a mention. When you’re spending this much, a bit of care goes a long way. Overall, Terre feels expensive without delivering the quality or hospitality to match. The one thing it has is a nicely decorated inside.
