The Roof Brooklyn Reviews
Amazing quality relaxing spacious rooftop surrounded with lots of greens. Great for working quietly or to come with a group. Indoor & outdoor. Bar stools or benches. TV to watch the game. Amazing place to hang out at.
Surprising little rooftop cafe, with really good trivia nights on Wednesdays! Plus a couple of the best vegan options I've found, without alienating omnivores.
Great beer selection and nice bar bites. Popular spot for big sports events!
Fantastic rooftop spot with cool staff, nice food, and bumping DJs in the evenings!

Great restaurant in the area- love coming here for the relaxing vibe. The food is great, and the kitchen staff are so sweet! I love coming here for lunch but the kids love it too - such a convenient location as well!
Great place to grab a quick bite. The burgers and salads are great. They also have a great beer selection.
Happy Hour all day Saturday and Sunday. Great outdoor patio with a view. One of our go to spots for a chill afternoon/evening with great drinks. They do close the kitchen a little early, so be aware. If you're hungry, just go downstairs and get some cheese and crackers at Whole Foods and bring it back up. They don't mind at all!

Good burgers, even the vegan burger was not disappointing. It was on the pricier side but the atmosphere was nice with the food and drinks. They have drinks options but food options are limited.
Place was closing so we didn't get to try the plates....we had to buy the hot food downstairs and bring it upstairs and sit outside. We had a nice.view of.the 9/11 memorial lights.
Friendly staff, good food, nice rooftop seating, but the entrance to the roof is located on the exit of the Whole foods, so depending on security, you might have to walk through Whole foods to get to it.

It has a decent deck. And it's a nice place to eat along with a small play area for kids. I like their wooden tables, which are long and allow ample seating room
Very cool concept. Shope for food and then relax with some bar food and beer. They have an interedting selection of beers and wines for different tastes. I only tried the fried cauliflower wings but they were delicious. Nothing fancy in terms of food choice but pretty good for the money.
Nice enough food, a bit of an eclectic fare with modern twists to old favorites but always a good beer selection. Of course it is a bit pricey, which is not too surprising since it is Whole Foods after all.
Beer and wine in a warehouse-like setting on the top of Whole Foods in Gowanus, Brooklyn. Some interesting craft beers available by the glass or for growler fills. Communal tables, set up like a cafeteria. There is a rooftop terrace as well, but the views are nothing particularly spectacular. Not bad for a quick beer with lunch.

Great little spot for a view and a quick drink. I would not however come here for food. The options are limited and expensive. It can get packed depending on the date and time. FYI you can also bring your own food up.
Pop music that’s overly loud, inconsistent and definitely not up to Whole Food standard mars decent and quite affordable pub grub with a decent — if industrial — view. If they start treating the music with the same integrity and quality as the rest of Whole Foods, and I'd have no qualms about coming back!
The restroom upstairs is closed early. I mainly come here to shop downstairs. More than once, the restroom in the main store was closed for cleaning or otherwise occupied, so I went upstairs to find the restrooms are already locked at 8:30 PM. They could do better.

Would have been better if The Roof actually had a sign up saying they served food, instead of having to find the menu. All big chalkboard signs show the beer/wine, but no food options. So having decided that no food was offered, it was down to the s*## show if the insta-cart fairground ride to go to the self serve section to then eat in a wonderful non-air conditioned Roof. Unfortunately, two hungry, screaming kids meant that finding other food options were off the table. Please try better Whole Foods! Have better visibility of the food options, fix your HVAC and reduce home delivery carts in the main store
This place is supposedly “open”. But I am sitting outside of it right now and it isn’t. There is staff inside at the tables behind the gate, chilling. No sign that they are in any hurry to actually open and operate a restaurant. There are other potential customers up here as well. But the staff of the 3rd Ave Whole Foods has apparently decided this floor is their break room, so no more restaurant up here I guess.
Stop! Please Read! I strongly advise against visiting this place due to serious concerns about their practices regarding customer privacy and security. Unfortunately, my experience here was shocking and unsettling. I discovered that they were secretly taking photos of my Photo ID and credit card without my consent. When I confronted the staff-Manager (Jordan) about this alarming behavior, I demanded that my personal information be deleted from their unsecured personal cell phone. To my dismay, I found hundreds of other cards and photos stored on the device, indicating a blatant disregard for customer privacy and potential involvement in identity theft schemes. He provided me with Managing Director (Neenie) business card which contains fake phone numbers. This experience has left me feeling violated and concerned for my safety. I urge others to think twice before patronizing this establishment. Protect your personal information and seek services elsewhere!
