Linn's Cambria Reviews
We wanted brunch so we had the quiche spinach/mushroom/bacon - real quality crispy - quiche, and sweet potato fries w a chipotle aoili sauce for breakfast… For lunch we enjoyed Lobster BLTA. “The Lobster flavor shines in the bun, and the bacon flavor cannot overcome it!” We added the apple-olallieberry slaw - perfect combo of savory sweet *next time we must try the Dungeness crab sandwich - both the waiter Angel and owner son Aaron had recommended 😩 Great portions! We really didn’t have enough room for dessert but we really wanted to enjoy something ollalieberry when you can so tried the cheesecake - perfection Excellent service with a genuine smile from busboy Elvis to waiter Angel to owner son Aaron…you can tell they all enjoy working here and esp love the food! Highly recommend - as we were - when we asked where to eat in Cambrian (while enjoying a soak in montecito natural hot springs) ☺️
I remember visiting Linn’s as a teenager back in the 1990s. Now it’s 2025, and I’m back in Cambria as an adult with my wife. My mother reminded me to make sure to visit Linn’s again, so that’s exactly what we did on our last day in town. We decided to have breakfast before our long journey home. All of the food was delicious, and we even found some amazing candies and other treats to take home, which we are still enjoying after our trip. We will definitely return to Linn’s on our next visit to Cambria. Maybe next time we’ll try lunch or dinner. Although we came for breakfast, our dining experience was memorable and enjoyable. The staff was friendly and attentive. One thing to note is that this is a very busy and fast-paced place, especially during peak times. The only downside was the restroom situation. There were multiple people waiting when we were there, which was a bit of a letdown. I understand that space is limited, but perhaps future plans could include expanding the restroom facilities. Overall, thank you for another wonderful experience. We look forward to coming back!
Amazing place in every way! Had one of the best steaks I've had in ages. Every meal was unique and cooked to perfection. And the desserts are incredible (try the pies!!). This place deserves way above a 4.5 rating (which it currently has).
Fantastic service from the staff. All food is farm to table, and the beef comes from local cows. The bread they bring out at the beginning with the local berry jam is delicious. I ordered a pasilla-pepper jack burger medium rare – they ask if the cook is right and if you want it redone. Mine might have been slightly more cooked than I expected, but the gesture was appreciated even though I ate it as initially served. Regardless it was delicious and fresh. The bun did get a bit mushy sitting in its own juices, but I forgot about that after a bite. Fries on the side were large cuts of fries with mild seasoning. They are kind to offer ranch and ketchup alongside. Dessert is offered at the end. We got the chocolate-raspberry Bavarian cream and the central coast carrot cakes. Both were of generous quantity and excellent quality. Nothing too sweet, no creams overly decadent, yet everything was rich and well balanced. The carrot cake was light and fluffy with a complementary butter cream, juicy raisins and ideal carrot flavor. The other cake was also rich without going overindulgent. Overall a fantastic food experience. A black coffee at the end of a local roast brought it all together to prevent the food coma for the drive back to the bay.
My wife and I visited Cambria this last October. Ate at Linns several times. The food was great, the owner and service people were extremely friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant. I would eat there a lot more often if I didn’t live in Houston, Texas. It’s kind of long way to go, even for great food.
We had dinner at Linn’s in Cambria last night and it was absolutely fantastic. The food was wonderful, but the dessert somehow managed to steal the show. I enjoyed the beef stroganoff, followed by the brownie fudge sundae topped with their famous olallaberry—pure perfection. What truly set this experience apart, though, was the customer service. My partner accidentally left his jacket at the restaurant, and after their shift ended, a staff member actually drove it to our hotel. That level of kindness and care is rare and unforgettable. Amazing food, incredible desserts, and exceptional service. We will absolutely be coming back to Linn’s time and time again.
We snuck in to use their bathroom at first, but then decided to stay and eat without having any idea what we were in for! This was by far the freshest “American diner” experience I’ve had! None of that processed microwaved food.✋So impressive given the small town area. Also the owner was prancing around the floor, that’s how you know it’s good 😇 Astonished at their gluten free options, including flaky gluten free pies in every flavor. Gorgeous, wholesome, classic food served by people who love their job and their community :) Shoutout to Corallyn ⭐️! The burger meat was noticeably flavorful, (they use hearst ranch beef)! The olallieberry and apple coleslaw was unique and crunchy, although it could have been slightly less syrupy. Lemon meringue pie was light and tart, and again, the gf pie crust was delicious. We had a wonderful experience and will definitely be coming back. I’ll bring the fam next time we’re in the area. Thank you everyone 💗💗💗
Linn’s Restaurant has a charming bicycle theme that gives the place a fun, unique vibe. Seating was easy—we were seated right away without any wait. Our server was incredibly friendly, and we felt welcomed from the moment we arrived. I ordered the breakfast sandwich, and the food was excellent. But the star for me was the scone with ollalieberry filling and warm butter—oh my, it was absolutely delicious. We loved it so much that we went back the next day just to get the scone again.
You would think that they would have called this restaurant Olallieberry Heaven as it grew out of being an ordinary restaurant with a huge difference: olallieberries! Many of their dishes feature the blackberry-raspberry hybrid which also helped to grow Knott's Berry Farm into a billion-dollar roller-coaster park. And if the food was crap, it would have made no difference, but what they offer is not only delicious but smart and clever. For instance, I had the Olallieberry Burger which features beef sourced from the local Hearst ranch and had a delicious brie and blue cheese combination featuring olallieberries! On the side was a coleslaw made with apple and olalliberries! Olallieberry Heaven! The restaurant itself features a cute seasonal gift shop featuring, you guessed it, preserves made from olallieberries and other picked fruit. My wife and I have had lunch there over the years having come from Santa Barbara County to go strolling in quaint Cambria and have never been disappointed with their food and have probably never had the same thing twice. Ever their Arnold Palmer had a olallieberry infusion of some kind. Parking is almost always a challenge in Cambria but we were able to get an open spot behind their restaurant just after the lunch rush. If you're in the area, don't miss it!!
Had a fantastic first meal at Linn’s. I had the pot roast and my partner had the mahi mahi special. I especially liked the cider because it was not overly sweet. We ended the meal with the olallieberry bread pudding. Our server was Jason who was just the right amount of fun and attentive.
Very Visited Linn’s Restaurant in Cambria and really enjoyed it! ☕ The coffee was great, the eggs Benedict were delicious, and the breakfast burrito was solid too. The only thing I didn’t love were the pancakes — everything else was spot on. The decor is super charming, with bicycles hanging all around — a fun and creative touch that makes the place memorable. 🚲 Overall, it’s a cozy spot for breakfast or brunch with great service and a cool atmosphere. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in town!
Very good dining experience. We had a party of seven people and we all had different dishes. Everyone enjoyed their choice. The beef stroganoff and crab salad were excellent. Others had meat loaf, chicken pot pie, coconut shrimp, and fish and chips. The pie for dessert really topped the evening off! The atmosphere was unique and especially entertaining for a cyclist. There are many bikes mounted high on the walls and also signed jerseys displayed in frames. The attached gift shop has several books on biking as well as food items. There is a small parking lot in back. We had a reservation and were seated promptly. Overall a unique, fun experience with reasonable prices and acceptable service.
This place is an amazing restaurant with a bicycle theme. There's dozens of vintage bikes hanging from the walls and ceiling. The restaurant sells their own pies, jams, etc. The owner is very nice, he helps out the wait staff and makes sure the customers are happy. Behind the restaurant is the bakery and more gift shops. Everyone is extremely nice, polite, and accommodating. Needless to say the food is great.
Food is excellent. Service is kind and attentive. Atmosphere is peddling fast. Their pot roast is tasty. The meat is cooked just right being moist and flavorful. Their gravy is so good with mushrooms yum! The chicken pot pie is rich and tasty. Our server was so friendly and on the ball getting our food, drinks and clearing dishes. The olallieberry jam is crazy good. The Olallieberry pie is heaven! This place has been here for a long time and there's a reasonn for that... they have delicious food, great service, and heavenly pie. You must go here.
Gluten free options on menu. Server was not that interested in serving us at first but got a bit better as we ordered more things. Hostess was saying no gluten free menu but then a different guy walked up to the hostess stand and pointed out that gf was on the menu. Food was really very good but on the pricey side. They had gluten free lemon meringue pie.

Located in the Cambria tourist area with convenient parking in the back. The menu offers a variety of meals. We had fish (cod) and chips. The service was great. The pies were yummy.
Very nice place to eat. The staff was great and so were the prices and quality of the food. The clam chowder was great along with a turkey melt sandwich that came with fries.

Linn’s Restaurant has a charming bicycle theme that gives the place a fun, unique vibe. We felt welcomed from the moment we arrived. Seating was easy as we were seated right away without any wait. Our server was very good and friendly. I ordered the clam chowder soup and 1/2 turkey sandwich combo. The turkey sandwich was very good, but I would not order the clam chowder again. It was not hot and the potatoes were under cooked and it didn't have the good clam chowder flavor I have come to expect. My wife ordered soup and salad combo and she said hers was good. For dessert, we split an olallieberry piece of pie and it was absolutely delicious.
Lovely service, so friendly and they explained all about the Ollalaberries and the best way for try them. Food was great, I think we had a burger and we had some pie à la mode. Loved it.

Traveling up North through CA. We looked this place up for their Olallieberry pie and I will tell you that was worth the visit! The pie is to die for! Right up there with Huckleberry from Montana. The vibe of the restaurant is cute but seems a bit packed and since the restaurant is pretty small it makes it hard to walk through the restaurant. The baked goods looked delicious but we only tried the pie. I had high hopes for the other food but it really was subpar. My son didn't like his Mac n cheese it tasted like pasta with cheddar cheese shredded and placed on top of it. It really wasnt mixed in as you would think. My daughter crushed her ceasar salad, so I guess that was good LOL I had the NE Clam Chowder and a side Vega salad. The chowder was once again not NE style. Coming from Boston its hard to find authentic and good NE clam chowder. They overdid it on the seasoning, not sure if it was parsley or what but it wasn't good. The vega salad was okay but the roasted tomatoes were not good. They tasted like vinegar to me and I had to spit it out. The chicken tenders were really good, my step daughter enjoyed them. My husband's sandwich wasn't toasted, there was too much mayo and one tiny piece of lettuce. He wouldn't recommend. After waiting for 25 minutes for a table and waiting 40 minutes for food for the experience was underwhelming to say the least. The cider my husband ordered was delicious. We say skip the food and go for the baked goods! Don't try to use the restroom here, it seemed like half the town used it you have to wait in line for 10-20 minutes easily. They only have two one-stall bathrooms and for some reason it was very high traffic. We had two children in our party and we werent given kids menus or a drink menu, not the end of the world but the person that took our drink orders was running around getting things the hostess forgot.
Here for breakfast today. Average food, far above average price, below average portions. That being said, the staff provides great service.
