Amazing food, service, and ambiance. Started with the jalapeño poppers with goat cheese. So good! We then had the bison sirloin with truffle butter and Mahi Mahi with garlic butter, paired with mashed potatoes and squash. Perfect. We finished with the most delicious chocolate fudge cake topped with vanilla ice cream. I don’t know that I’ve ever had better cake in my life…and I’m from the south! Christina was our waitress and she was knowledgeable, friendly, and down to earth. Will definitely be going back for another date night.

Small town vibe, Big city flavor and flair. Stumbled upon Jimmie’s one late night while looking for a nice steak. All other restaurants in the area were closed or closing. Jimmie’s was one of those restaurants. Called to see if they were open and was told they were in the process of closing for the night. With no other options available, we were just about to settle for fast food, thankfully the owner of the establishment called us and told us to come on in. We immediately rushed to the restaurant. Let me tell you we could not have been more pleased. When I say big city flavor that’s exactly what I mean. Everything was delicious from the mixed drinks, too of course the steak. Jimmy’s has it all. Friendly and inviting staff excellent drink choices and a steak that will melt in your mouth. While we were a bit late to enjoy some of the other side options that had sold out during the day. We were still exceedingly satisfied. Thank you Jimmy’s for a wonderful experience. Looking forward to the next time we visit during normal business hours, of course.

We have been to Jimmie’s a couple of times and each time it has been wonderful. The food has always has been such of a treat to our palate. Tonight’s blackened filet was cooked perfectly and so tender. My husband enjoyed a ginger Chilean Seabass. The ambiance was perfect for a special Valentine’s Dinner.

Life for all certainly has peaks and valleys. For me, I cannot imagine a more difficult year than 2020. Having plowed my way home one weekend from Boston, in what should have been an American journey, became something closer to a Stasi experience. Arriving at the house my Kiki had chicken fried steak on the table, and in one bite I was transported to a heavenly land. It was the combination of surreal flavor at the end of an exhausting road that conjured up all that is good in this world to the forefront of my mind. Who made this I gasped? Jimmie. I have heard it said that a great restaurant should remove you from the burdens of life and transport you to another world. Not only did Jimmies takeout provide this experience for me during the most difficult of times, he and Amanda and their team continue to uplift my spirits every weekend over these many subsequent years with their gourmet meals and fine drinks. While I’d prefer never to leave Cleburne, necessity has forced me far and wide. Even at ten times the cost, in the world’s most prestigious cities, I’ve been unable to find a better meal, in any restaurant. We are so fortunate to have this diamond in our hometown.

Jimmie is such an amazing chef! Best salmon I’ve ever had! Everything was delicious and Jimmie himself came out to make sure all was well. You can truly tell that everything is homemade and nothing is canned or frozen or anything like that. Highly recommend adding one of the featured butters to your meal - the herb butter was great with the mashed potatoes!

Our waitress has been incredible every time we've had dinner there. I wish I could remember her name because she transforms the menu into an experience. She completely knows the menu and wine pairings and has been so helpful helping us decide which wines and sides would pair the best. Jimmie's is amazing! We had seared tuna in a giant salad as an appetizer along with the most amazing grilled lamb ribs with an amazing glaze. Next, I had baked halibut and my bf had the tomahawk with a garlic butter. His was a perfect medium. My halibut was cooked perfectly. Last time I had the seabass with truffle butter and it was the best fish I've ever had. I'd highly recommend that. Seriously incredible. We stayed for cake the first time from Moms kitchen which is inside Jimmie's and this time took cake to go. My daughter and friend ate it so fast because it is absolutely delicious. I had white cake with chocolate frosting last time and it was the best cake I've ever had! Edited to add: NYE here was the absolute best! Drinks and atmosphere are amazing. We got there at 9pm and welcomed the New Year with Jimmie and his beautiful wife Amanda. We had some light bites and as always the food is heavenly. Guests are treated like family and we've always been met by Jimmie every single time we've been there. This time was no exception and we can't wait to go back! We hope to spend next NYE there because all the guests were so much fun and we had a blast! Visit this hidden gem and you will not be disappointed.

My son and I accidentally came across this amazing restaurant while passing through Cleburne one night. This place would be the perfect date night place to go or any other occasion. The atmosphere and vibe were great. I loved the music they played and the staff were professional and friendly. The food was incredible. We had this stuffed mushroom with crab, which we savored like a fine wine, slowly enjoying every bite. Then we had the most mouth-watering steak, creamed spinach, salmon, and asparagus. I've had a lot of steak and salmon, but both were taken to a new level of amazing. After that, we could not resist finding out what the chef would do with the dessert, so we had the caramelized pound cake with strawberries and fresh amazing whip cream. It was one of those meals I will never forget because it was so exceptional. It was quite a happy accident. Honestly, if I met a chef who could cook like that, I would marry him. It's a small limited menu that changes, but I would trust the chef's judgment. I'm sure everything there is amazing.

Holy cow what an amazing meal! Look if you can't be patient and wait for perfection you don't need to eat here. The menu is told to you like a secret club and not to mention the atmosphere is like a speakeasy. Jimmie is it. He is the cook and his wonderful wife is your waitress. I love coming here because it's like you are eating in your own private club with friends. Jimmie even takes the time to come out and see how the food is. I highly recommend getting a smorgasbord of everything just so you can try all the flavors

We enjoyed date night here tonight. The vibe is unique and easy going. I loved it. Our bacon wrapped sausage with goat cheese and apricot preserves was a great start. My grilled broccoli was the best I’ve had. No complaints on anything. We had a filet, bison sirloin, garlic pasta and side salad as well. We finished with the lemon blueberry cake. And to our surprise it was lite and not overly sweet (which I’m totally fine with). Go support this local quaint restaurant. You won’t be disappointed. To top it off, it was nice meeting Jimmie!

Instantly greeted with a warming welcome. Jimmie's had an elegant jazzy atmosphere and we were immediately was made to feel comfortable. Our waitress Vie was extraordinary and helped us with advice on the menu and what good options there were. Jimmie even came out multiple times and spoke with us, he was relaxed and treated his staff in a family-like manner. The food was amazing and well worth the price. My friend and I ordered the Quail and a stuffed portabella mushroom. I really appreciated my whole experience here and Vie was on top of everything! We even recieved an extra complimentary dish on the house! Definitely recomend this place!

This is my favorite place in Cleburne. The owners are really great people and the staff is very friendly. The food is absolutely phenomenal. I don’t drink much but the blueberry pomegranate mule is top notch. I’ve been quite a few times and it never misses.. Highly recommend.

Apparently, a great restaurant has been in Cleburne this whole time and no one told us. We finally made reservations for their Valentine’s menu and were impressed from the start. Jimmie’s is tucked just a few blocks from the historic courthouse. It’s small and intimate, perfect for a date night, and seating is limited so plan ahead. The four-course meal was excellent. The crab cake with lemon butter sauce was outstanding. I’m not a seafood guy, but this one changed my mind. Melt-in-your-mouth good. The beef filet, ordered medium rare, was perfectly cooked and fork tender. The mashed potatoes were clearly not an afterthought. Heavy cream was involved. Probably some cheese. No complaints there. Jimmie stopped by our table during the meal, and we learned they were celebrating their 7th anniversary. It’s not every day the chef checks on your table. That says something. We finished with cheesecake, rich and creamy, with several topping options. The only thing I would have added was a cup of coffee to go with it. Expect fine dining prices, but the quality matches it. This isn’t an every-weekend place, but for a special occasion, Jimmie’s is a great choice. We left full, impressed, and already planning to return.

We were passing through on our way to San Antonio and saw the great reviews, so we decided to stop in. We sat at the bar and the bartender (mixologist) was wonderful! We had the filet which was cooked to perfection. Mashed potatoes and sautéed mushrooms were just as great. I had the pound cake for dessert which was amazing!!

First time experiencing "Jimmies"for a reservation only Valentines dinner. The dinner was in four (4) courses, and it was exceptional! The service was friendly and frequent .. just right. But the food was amazing. Towards the end of the evening, the Chef came around to each table to say Hi and inquire about our experience .. nice touch!

Jimmies is HANDS down, the BEST fine dinning restaurant in Cleburne TX. If you’re just visiting town or a local resident, you have got to make a stop by here. My husband and I visit as often as we can, even when we get off of work on a Friday or Saturday night. The food NEVER disappoints, the atmosphere is so relaxing and the drinks are to die for! Come in early and don’t forget to add your truffle butter to your steaks, you’ll thank me later! 😊

Great experience at Jimmie’s. Family run restaurant and it shows. From the atmosphere, drinks, and the food definitely the best I’ve had in Texas. Owners are great and the customers are welcoming. Small town vibes but the food/drinks would be at home in the biggest cities too. Definitely recommend anyone to go even if it’s a little out of the way.

A real find on a visit to Cleburne. Exceeded expectations. One problem: They don't take reservations. You could spend the hour it takes from Dallas to get here and find no tables available before your theatre appointment.

We were looking forward to trying this place forever. We decided to eat at bar. Took 10 mins to order a drink because bartender kept being interrupted by wait staff as she was explaining to me drinks. She finally had to tell them to read the room and wait until she’s finished. So then we decided to move to a table thinking service would be better. We waited 10 mins with nobody even coming to the table. Had to wave someone down asking who our server was. Then she approached who happened to be our waitress asking her about our table. They looked at us, moved to the corner and were discussing it looking at us and just was very strange. The entire dinner was weird. We asked for a menu, they said use your phone. Then wanted a side salad. Was told they don’t have any salads. Then ordered an appetizer fried cauliflower. They brought out with no dipping sauce. We asked for ranch for them. Waitress said she has to ask if we can have ranch. She came back and said no we can’t have ranch. Came back ten minutes later and said Jimmie said you can have this sauce. Ok. Cool. Then throughout the whole meal they kept trying to take our plates when we had more than half of our food left. At one point waitress literally came over and took my husbands plate from him when he wasn’t even done eating. She left and I said “were you done eating, she took your plate.” He didn’t even realize she took it. So he ate off of mine rest of dinner (we were sharing). The steak was overcooked, potatoes were not very warm. We love Jimmie though! We won’t be back, unfortunately.
