Stagecoach Coffee Cooperstown Reviews
Stayed across the street from here and this was a welcome site. Ordering is smooth and they are very well organized with producing the orders. The food and pastries were great and coffee superb. Staff was excellent the couple days I was there. Prices are very good as well. Great place for Cooperstown.
We loved Stagecoach. It’s a nice little spot across from the Hall of Fame with lots of seating or for grab and go food and coffee. The staff was very friendly. The coffee is well made and strong. The food was surprisingly great, including the tomato bisque and curried chicken salad. The breakfast burrito was good and fresh, but could use some spice.
It was a freezing cold day in Cooperstown and several other restaurants were closed since it's off season. We found ourselves at Stagecoach Coffee and am I glad we did! We got coffee, hot chocolate, and a chai latte and all were very good. I'm a bit of a coffee snob yet the dark roast passed my personal test. We also got breakfast sandwiches, they were all terrific! In particular was the smoked salmon on a bagel. The blend of cream cheese, salmon, capers and tomato complimented each other so perfectly. We all tried a bite and agreed it was a winner. If we visit Cooperstown again we will definitely stop in.
We came during the off season, moreover later in the day (around 4pm), so we were the only customers. Service was prompt and curteous. The drink selection was broad with classic cafe staples, soft drinks, and a seasonal menu. They also offer breakfast sandwiches until 11, as well as lunch sandwiches and paninis, and there is a broad selection of baked goods. There is indoor and seasonal outdoor seating. The music was a little off and killed the vibe a little bit.
The breakfast sandwich on peasant bread was so satisfying! I also got a blueberry brunette bread pudding. Wow was that delicious! Sweet but not overpowering. Can't wait for breakfast tomorrow!
Great coffee shop and restaurant. So many coffee options. They make an amazing iced dirty chai with soy. Oat milk is also an option. They have a couple of vegan options and even had a vegan ice cream. I tried the tofu wrap and it didn’t taste great so I’d skip that. But they do have other vegan options.
This is a great place for breakfast, lunch, or just to meet up with friends. Their staff is very friendly. They also make a decent bagel, make a very good coffee drink and crowded or not, bring your food in reasonable amounts of time. If you need egg whites instead of eggs, they'll gladly make them for you. If you don't see what you want from their menu, they will attempt to accomodate you. You'll have the option of sitting indoors, outdoors, or taking your order out. Best of all, you'll find your purchase satisfying and worth your visit.
Great that this coffee shop was / is open early in the morning ( opened at 6:30am ). Coffee was delicious with a wide variety of choices. Nice spread out seating with a great vibe. We also bought a piece of crumb cake which was very good and fresh. Highly recommend Stagecoach … you won’t be disappointed… we certainly were not !
Exceptional staff. Super friendly, very polite and chill. Coffee was great, not thin like most places. Bagel was nicely toasted and just the right amount of cream cheese. Nice escape from the humid weather and a cool place to meet locals. I'll be back every time I'm in town.
Had a really excellent lunch in Cooperstown. I was impressed by the selection of sandwiches, wraps, and paninis. Got the best turkey and cheese panini that came with a side salad. The ingredients were so fresh. In the bake of the shop is a small patio where you can sit outside and enjoy the sunshine on a sunny day. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The baked goods looked amazing and I will be sure to be back next time I’m out visiting this summer. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
If you enjoy delicious coffee, good eats and a pleasant atmosphere, this is a must-visit little coffee shop tucked off the main drag in Cooperstown. Espresso, served in a small to-go cup instead of the tiny espresso cups which is good if you want to add milk I guess, was nutty, dark and delicious with a less pronounced bitterness than most others. Broad and creative hot and cold coffee selections including iced coffee - toffee, Super Cold brew (with MCT coconut oil) and Myco Brew coffee (with Host Defense Mushroom Extract). Wide variety of food that expands far beyond just breakfast including a range of garden salads, deli sandwiches, and Paninis make this a fun spot to come for lunch as well. Nice mix of seating options, including a window counter upfront with high top seating, table seating along the sides, a nice more semi formal seating area with tables in the back, and a fun patio with umbrellas in the back. The tables on the back room are arranged next to what appears to be a steam engine from a 1940s locomotive. Actually, on second glance, that looks like that might be their coffee roasting equipment. Unfortunately, can’t see the lake from here, but the food and beverages more than makes up for the lack of views (and I don’t think there really is much lakefront dining here). They do offer some gluten-free bread options, and do have a couple vegan options, but nothing that is gluten-free and vegan. Knowledgeable and extremely friendly staff will help you select your order as well as engaged in witty banter. Definitely recommend making the trip!
I always like stopping at this little hole in the wall coffee spot. They have really good coffee and great baked goods. This time was the first time trying the food. We tried an everything bagel toasted with cream cheese and tomato. Then we also tried their breakfast burrito. It was a little try and could have used a little something something. It was still a very good experience and will continue to keep coming here.
Deliciously, amazing baked goodies and coffee. Coming up from Manhattan I was struck at how inexpensive my two cookies and cappuccino were. Upon eating, I was blown away at how ridiculously delicious everything was. Honestly, these were the BEST gluten free desserts I’ve had in the last year or two. The sandwiches everyone got were also great. Though they weren’t giant in size, the quality kept me full. I’d HIGHLY recommend this perfect little cafe to anyone in the area.
Love this place. If you stop in Cooperstown, this is a must to visit for any coffee lover.
We're infrequent visitors to Cooperstown, but reliably include one or more stops at Stagecoach. This weekend we caught them in need of a good cleaning throughout and a refresher on specialty coffee drinks. Black coffee was good; my partner's latte lacked the foaming that defines the drink, with no decorative crema at all. This is not what brings customers back to a specialty coffee shop. We'll surely come back, but this visit was a disappointment. Wishing y'all whatever it takes to spruce up.
I have been coming to Cooperstown for 20 years and I love stagecoach coffee!! Great vibes, great food, great service. However, the space is always dirty. Definitely needs more sweeping, wiping down of tables. Floors are always covered in food, tables are sticky, and there are many black flies. Otherwise, fantastic coffee shop!
Great local coffee place! Service was a little slow, but they were busy. My vegan burrito was very good, and they had multiple vegan options! The syrup for my coffee tasted very artificial, but if you’re into that, go for it. I also got a vegan cookie, which was fine. Not the best I’ve had, but definitely not bad
Rude customer service, for no reason other than the person was just plain rude from, "hello". If you can get past that, you can have some espresso that tasted almost burnt. We'll give them another try, but don't have high hopes. Small seating areas, that aren't great for more than 1-2 people.
Friendly service and interior was clean and had character. Ordered the house panini which was lacking tomatoes. One thin slice(less than 3" diameter) on each half of a sandwich isn't cutting it when the first item in description is tomatoes. Frankly, two slices per half isn't adequate. The tomato isn't a garnish. The sandwich didn't have an abundance of mozzarella and pesto to make up for the lack of tomato. Not a whole lot of anything here.
