I have been eating here for about ten years and I am way late on this review. I LOVE this place. Best Thai Restaurant in the area by far. I have also tried more upscale places but this place is better. The place is small and the furniture is a little worn BUT the food. The food tastes amazing. The price is so reasonable and the quantity to more than enough. Ate there again today and they did not fail.

This is my absolute favorite Thai place! I get the Pad Kee Mow almost every time and it’s soooo good! Also, the owners are amazing and own the restaurant in front too that’s also delicious! I got this one to go this time and it’s meaty and a large portion!

I door dashed once, amazing flavor and can’t wait to experience the food once again. Tried three dishes, all of them were exceptional. Chefs kiss

My husband and I went to Thai Square for our first time, on our anniversary tonight. First of all, the atmosphere was comfortable, clean, unique, and cozy. We arrived close to 6 pm and it was pretty crowded, but we were seated immediately and our server came out right away. The service was fantastic! Friendly and efficient. We had our drinks within 3 minutes, our appetizer within 10, and our entrees within 20. It was perfect. And the food! It was very, very good. I had the Eggplant Stir Fry with chicken and it was excellent. The portions were large...enough that I was full and still took half of it home. My husband ordered the Red Chili Stir Fry with Shrimp and he barely finished it all, and loved every bite. The price was outstanding at about $65 before tip for one appetizer, two entrees, and tea (the Peach Tea is incredible!). One more thing: the background music was So Good! 1970s soft rock. Seemed a little odd in a Thai restaurant, but between the variety of customers, the wonderful servers, the superb food, and the eclectic decor, it was perfect. We both absolutely LOVED our experience at this restaurant and would highly recommend it to others. We Will Be Back!

The biggest fear was not being sure on what level of spice to order and the service was beyond great! I can't recommend this place enough, the portions are huge and the flavors are incredible. The textures are definitely different and loved to see they weren't afraid of the spice.

For a corner restaurant hidden away, I'd say the food is worth coming for it. I decided to sample two appetizers with one entree and their signature tea. I was blown away at how their tofu fries tasted. The sampler plate gave me a chance to taste the rest of their appetizers and I was not disappointed. The fried calamari was delicious. I thought service was going to be lacking per previous reviews but was pleasantly proved wrong. I will be coming back here.

Tucked away behind the bustle of downtown Denton, you’ll find this quiet and peaceful oasis. Thai Square has been me and my partner’s favorite restaurant in Denton for two years now. The service is always incredible, the prices are extremely fair, and the food genuinely tastes amazing and overwhelmingly authentic. The Khao Soi Chiang Mai is without a doubt our favorite entree on the menu. While me and my girlfriend were living in Thailand we were actually thinking about how much we missed this Khao Soi at Thai Square, funnily enough. I personally recommend to everyone to get the Thai Tea. It’s sweet, it’s refreshing, and it’s heavenly. The seating arrangement is quite small, but I definitely think the space is perfectly utilized and we’ve never had issues making reservations. This is one of if not the best restaurant in Denton. I would totally recommend it to anyone if you are just passing through the city or need a great date night location.

The college restaurant is at the back of the building. Don't let the outside front door fool you. It's cute inside, definitely local favorite. We ordered veggie stored fry and 3 curry samples. Awesome food and price! Definitely will come back.

Comfortable, cozy and quiet setting. Great for a relaxing lunch or dinner. I really enjoyed the Pad Kee Mao. If you’re up for a challenge, order it double Thai spicy, it will definitely get your sinuses flowing. If you’re looking for Thai food with friendly and welcoming staff, give this place a try, you won’t be disappointed.

Our group visited a Thai restaurant where we all thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. We indulged in the delicious Tom Yum and Tom Ka soups, which were both enjoyable, while the Basil Fried Rice was exceptional. The soupy noodles were also tasty, and the fresh rolls were exceptional. The Chicken Satay was a nice addition to the meal, and we were particularly impressed with the Yellow Curry and Red Curry, which were both excellent. The highlight of the meal, however, was the delectable Mango Sticky Rice. The ambience of the restaurant was pleasant, and the servers were attentive and helpful throughout our visit.

Visited on a Thursday for the 1st time for dinner with some former co-workers and loved it so much I brought the wife and kids two days later for dinner. The food was every bit as good as was the service. It took a little bit to get seated as the restaurant was packed. Only recommendation would be the Mixed Platter appetizer ($15.95) being priced slightly lower by $3.00 or so based on the serving size of the various items. We enjoyed it but felt pricing was not in line with what was served. The Thai Square Curry Sampler ($18.95) is a great way to try 3 different curry styles along with a protein choice. Wife had the Kao Soi Chiang Mai ($13.95) and enjoyed it. Boys had the Beef Mas-Sa-Mun Curry ($16.95) and the Spicy Basil Fried Rice ($15.95). Victoria did a great job keeping drinks topped off throughout the evening and was pleasant too. All-in with a 20% tip was roughly $110 for dinner. A small fortune for a solid Thai dinner and enjoyable family evening together.

Definitely a hidden gem. Just visiting the area but so happy to have discovered this restaurant. The food was delicious. The shrimp was well cooked and plump. The spice was on point. If Im ever in the area again, I will have to stop by.

In the corner of downtown Square, not authentic but good enough, be careful if you order Thai hot it will burn from deep of your tongue but I like it. The padthai too sweet, green curry also too sweet, vegetable soup bland, other flavor still spot on. Waitress is very nice and friendly, environment is fine.

The food is pretty good. Now I like spicy, but be careful when you say "spicy". I have been to Thailand and eaten spicy food in-country. I ordered the Panang curry and asked for spicy. Let me just say the last time I had something that spicy was in Thailand. It was almost too spicy. At first, I thought the cook was playing a joke on me. It caught me off-guard, but I still ate it. You have been warned. I liked the Tom Kha soup as well. The service is average and the decor is rustic, but overall, it's a nice place to get a quick bite.

I love Thai food! The food here is definitely pretty good but I wouldn’t say the best ever. The place is really busy but the space inside is not a lot which was frustrating. Because they’re so busy, service can be kind of slow. Overall, I wouldn’t mind going back but hopefully at a time that is less busy.

It's been a while since I've been here. A few of the things were out of their control, baby crying with no concern from the parents and the restaurant was extremely loud. You could not carry on a conversation because of the noise. However, food quality was below par. We ordered the chicken satay as a app. It was dry and salty. For my dish I has cashew chicken, the chicken tasted like warmed up chicken, not fresh. Very disappointing.

The red curry was pretty tasty, I got the lunch portion with beef, but it barely had any meat in it and the meat that was in there was sliced super thin and overcooked. I got the coconut sticky rice too and it was good. Also, the menus I found attached here are outdated and most of the entrees were $3-$4 more expensive than shown here, even lunch items.

This restaurant still has awesome vibes. BYOB draws in a lot of crowd. Food is prepared with fresh ingredients. Dumplings were very chewy. Restrooms are kept clean. They should revamp the floors at minimum. It is nasty and appears unhygienic.

We found the flavor of our dishes (pad Thai & basil fried rice) to be lacking. The spice level “medium” was adequate. The spring rolls were crispy. We did love the sweet coconut rice.

This place is literally a small square shaped restaurant, staff are nice and friendly. Spring rolls were great, that’s about it. Food is not much of flavor, I had pineapple fried rice and it felt more of pineapple burnt rice. The chicken fried rice was just average. Place was busy initially and had great wait time, yet another restaurant which falls short of it’s reviews. Quality of food : 5 Taste and essence : 5 Presentation : 8 Hospitality & Environment : 8 Price-value : 4 Cleanliness : 8 Red’s Final Rating : 6.3/10

This is a solid Thai restaurant. The wait staff was friendly and helpful. The food was decent. Unfortunately, that’s the best complement I can give about the food. My pad Thai had huge chunks of onions and was lacking in flavor. My wife got a peanut curry that needed a lot of extra spice to taste good. Again, the food was fine, but there are better places out there.
