Dim Sum Go Go East Broadway Reviews
I felt comfortable at this restaurant because they gave me an menu checklist in English alongside a spread of numbered photos! It was calm inside. No loud noises and having to catch someone's attention who's pushing carts. The waiter just took our order and brought us everything we needed directly from the kitchen. Good dim sum at normal prices. Duck dumplings were so delicious and perfect with the jasmine green tea. I was surprised and glad to see a restroom! There were two stalls for women. I assume it would be the same for the guys.
Whenever I have guests visiting I always bring them here. It’s always on the top of my list. We have several favorite dishes we always order. Usually 7-8 dim sum dishes will be enough for two hungry people. The buns are always a good bet so you should definitely try them. As for the sitting area, they gave two floors, but the ground one is more pleasant. Ask for the table next to the window, that’s the best spot.
One of the best Dimsum place in New York City, located in Chinatown area. They sells lot of various dimsum such as Siomay, Hakau, Cheo Cang Fun, Gao Zi, Pork/Chicken Bun, Spring Rolls, etc. Very good services, good portions, and also affordable price. I did my New Year's Eve dinner in here too on Dec 31st, 2023.
I ate here two days in a row, first for lunch and the second day for dinner. Both meals were great. I arrived at less busy times and was seated right away for two, 1:30pm for lunch and right before the dinner rush around 6:15pm (it was very busy as we left with a wait). Highly recommend the vegetable dumplings which are very flavorful and the turnip cakes! It's not a fancy place but dim sum is great. Service is fine, although you have to wave at them if you need more water, etc.
Quick service and beautiful dim sums at a reasonable price point. Love the assortment platters. We ordered both the vegetarian as well as meat platters and both shone in their own ways. I’ve never had veggie dim sum this flavorful and well thought out. Each one had a beautifully layered flavor profile that isn’t boring or one dimensional. The staff was also kind in letting us have our reservation despite 2 ppl not showing up. We came on a Thursday night and the space was not too busy despite being in Chinatown. We were well attended to and walked away feeling very satisfied about the experience!
We went there with a group of 10 for lunch and enjoyed great food and great service. The restaurant is simple in setup which gives it its charm. Definitely something to consider when you want good food and fast service.
This place has great ‘made-to-order’ Dim Sum. What sets Dim Sum Go Go apart is that you don’t have to fight the rolling carts or wait for them to pass your table. You order them a la carte style and they make them fresh. You do miss out on the spectacle and excitement but if you just want good food in a good atmosphere; this is perfect 👍🏼
If you get a chance to be in china town near the south side of manhattin. Get some awesome classic chinese Dim sum. Just like tapas or small plates. You will find som awesome food at this place. We had a tabe next to the front window so we could pepole watch while enjoying the food it was over the topamd all the traditional dishes are served. Don't miss this joint amd trust me you won't be disappointed. Very attentive service and dishes came fast and hot.
Even months later, i remember the quality of every dish. The look inside was attractive. The chef puts effort into the visual aspect of each meal. Workers here create a family-friendly vibe while providing pleasant service. Have a great meal and service.
This is been one of my favorite dim sum places in china town. The restaurant is very large and has a cool ambience for the red decor. There’s also an upstairs and downstairs feeding area. This is less stressful than other times some places in the foods really good. It is better in that you could order in advance and they bring you the food to your table is it of having to wait for the carts to come around. Slightly more expensive but worth it for the relaxing vibe, which you don’t usually get with dim sum.
We've been coming here for over 10 years since I first discovered their dim sum. Recently, with the East Village location closed, I returned to their original spot in Chinatown—and as always, the quality of the food never disappoints. One special note: it’s currently BYOB, so I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys pairing their meal with a drink. The prices are fair, the staff are friendly, and it still carries the authentic character and charm of Chinatown.
We loved how easy it is to order thanks to the paper menus where you check the items you want in your next round. We found it convenient and also easy because honeslty, sometimes I want to be a bit adventurous, but I am not familiar with every item in a dimsum place... being able to take my time, read descriptions, look up pictures and then choose what I wanted to try for the next round was more fun than the traditional style of ordering everything verbally with a waiter at once. The dumplings came out fast, steamy and super delicious, my favorite were the rice wraps, the sauce was to die for,the texture so funky, I ordered seconds! Also got seconds of the sesame balls, omg... warm and sticky... i wanna go back for more!
Forget about what people have written before. This restaurant definetely deserves michelin stars. Besides, they are not serving for rich people, they are serving for ordinary people, prices are extremely cheap for Manhattan. There is no need to explain about the food because it is very tasty, delicious and freshly cooked. The waiters are very nice people, do not push them just try to understand their hurry in rush hours. We went there as a family ordered dumplings, crispy noodles and more food, everthing was perfect. We will go tomorrow again :)
We always come here when we visit and have never been disappointed. Food is spectacular and services great. It's hard to believe this place isn't totally packed 24/7. Have you seen their Michelin stars?
Incredible food and very wonderful service. We got some rice rolls some dumplings some spring rolls and the waiter recommended the ginger beef because we were stuck on beef dish to get and that was the absolute right decision!! For dessert we got the sesame lotus balls and coconut cake which were all amazing. Reasonable prices for a Michelin star restaurant too!!
Dim Sum Go Go is a highly rated popular dim sum restaurant located close to Mott Street, at 5 East Broadway. A very modernistic Hong Kong stylized interior with linen clothed table seating for large and small parties. The cuisine is a nice melange of various dim sum favorites, plus side marks in red to indicate that the item is either vegan (v), gluten free (e), or something else (c) … all good though! Beverages are limited to teas and soft drinks, however, but for Sunday Afternoon Tea, a dessert and tidbits are wonderfully suited for a shared informal eating experience with friends and other diners too. The ambiance is definitely family-friendly and boasts tables for a family of five very easily, or more. Highly recommended. Dim Sum Go Go is open year round, and on weekends!
Came for dim sum on a Sunday early afternoon. Place was packed but we two were able to be seated at a large round shared table. There were two other parties of two but it was a fine experience! We ordered a few different veggie dumplings, rice rolls and roasted pork buns. Everything was amazing and fresh!
Dim Sum Go Go is a must-try for authentic dim sum. This restaurant has been awarded a Michelin star every year since 2012, and for good reason. The menu offers an extensive selection of steaming hot dim sum options, such as duck dumplings, vegetable dumplings, soup dumplings, shrimp dumplings, and many more that are sure to tantalize your taste buds. The variety of choices is endless and you will not be disappointed. This is a restaurant that you should not miss out on!
The steamed dumplings (dim sum) were simply incredible - we had the Jade, chicken and duck. The jade stood out as our favorite paired with the scallion ginger sauce. We also tried the Potsticker with honey glazed pork ham and the Pork bun which was a sweet bun with pork inside. Natural, fresh ingredients that popped. The sauces were not artificial and added to the freshness of each bite. Will definitely return!
Dim Sum Go Go has expanded into the East Village with roots from their original location in Manhattan Chinatown for over 20 years. This Michelin Bib dim sum parlor serves steaming hot made-to-order dumplings. Here in the East Village, it’s more of a casual and relaxing vibe much different than Chinatown. That same XO sauce is still made in-house along with a variety of handcrafted dim sums. For vegetarian folks, they have authentic vegetarian dim sums as well. Their delicious steamed roasted pork buns are perfectly sized and fluffiness. Springs rolls and turnip cake is not too oily and taste delicious.
The food at this place is truly exceptional—delicious, well-prepared, and surprisingly affordable. However, there are some unexpected rules that must be followed during your visit, which can catch you off guard. I found myself waiting for about 20 minutes before being seated, but the anticipation only heightened my appetite for the fantastic dishes that awaited me.
YES. Ok so I came here because the line at Nom Wah Tea Parlor was waaayyy too long and I didn’t want to wait in 95 degree weather. The dim sum here is so good! I ordered so much: -roast duck dumplings: great flavor and a good cut of lean meat. It came with some vegetables mixed in so it had a nice crunch to it. -roast duck rice rolls: it had a lot more fat in it than I like, but it was still good and they but the sauce on it table side which was cool. -chicken buns: you can skip it it’s nothing really special, but a solid bun none the less. -three star dumplings: these are the pink ones that are super cute, the taste itself isn’t my favorite and I have no idea what’s in it but it’s some kind of root vegetable. -Shrimp dumplings: classic shrimp dumplings, solid but nothing incredible. Overall this place is a great dim sum option, the prices are pretty average and the service is…. Well let’s just say it’s very authentic. But it’s Chinatown so if you don’t want authentic go to the upper east side or something.
Had lots of yummy dim sum! My friend is prescetarian and we found a lot of options that worked for both of us! My favorite were the sea bass cubes and the parsley dumplings. This spot was mentioned in the Micheline guide multiple years in a row, but because it’s a bit outside of the tourist part of Chinatown, we were able to get seated right away without a reservation at 6pm on a Saturday. This is a good option to get your Chinatown adventure started and hit the bars after.
Unexpected surprise - old school handmade dim sums so well crafted and made … full of flavors with real ingredients (no msg, no filler). We were a big table and ordered quite a few variety - we enjoyed them all. The manager was so friendly, reminiscing with us on the changing business landscape and the rich history of Chinatown. We appreciate the authentic, simple decor. That’s how dim sum should be as well. Well done!
Simply amazing dumplings and buns. We also ordered the sticky rice and the Dan Dan noodles and they all tasted amazing. The service is great and they are all extremely attentive. The walk to the bathroom is terrifying as it’s in the bathroom but don’t let that stop you from visiting this famous dumpling shop.
I had the pleasure of spending time with Colette Rossant who launched this establishment in 2000, she was an incredible woman who lived a full, fascinating life which she documented in her writing. Colette brought me to Dim Sum Go Go some time in the 2010s and I have returned many times in honor of her. It is delicious! You really can't go wrong when you order here.
Dim Sum Go Go is a Michelin Bib Gourmand rated restaurant. The food was excellent and fully matched my expectations. The only minor disappointment was that they offered only one type of tea—jasmine. Nonetheless, I was very satisfied with the meal and have it on my permanent go-to list.
Really great authentic dimson and a simple and friendly atmosphere with very attentive staff. I would definitely recommend coming here. We've got a bunch of dim sum flavors to try out. Each one was very good. My favorite were the pork and shrimp combo dumplings and the shrimp filled yams.
First of all, I really appreciate the staff going out to put down ice-melt in front of the store when it starts snowing. We arrived just after it started blowing snow and they were out there making sure the sidewalk was safe. I also really appreciated the staff allowing me to put my luggage by the front desk, those small accommodations make a difference in this fast-moving city. The food is excellent as I remember, its nice to come back to a place after COVID and see the same old quality. The service is incredibly fast, they whisk away empty plates before you can put your chop sticks down. A great experience overall, and nice to see that Dim Sum Go Go is how I remember it!
Dim Sum Go Go is a fantastic find, especially considering its reputation as a budget-friendly Michelin-recommended spot. The food quality is exceptional and absolutely lives up to the hype. The standout of the meal was the seafood and meat platter - the colors and shapes were stunning, but the taste was even better. Anything involving the shrimp was simply incredible. We also tried the duck spring rolls, pork soup dumplings, and the Malaysian buns for dessert, all of which were great. A few crucial tips for your visit: Book ahead: The restaurant is very busy, and seating is quite limited inside. Consider Delivery: Because the dining area is small, they seem to prioritize deliveries, so that’s a solid option if you can't get a table. Must-Order: If you go, the platter is a must - it's a showstopper both visually and in flavor. Overall, this is a top-tier recommendation for anyone looking for high-quality dim sum that won't break the bank.
Had a great experience here - delicious, fresh, and quick service. Didn't have cash on me to hit up some of my usual dumpling spots and it was pouring outside so wanted somewhere to sit and unwind. We were seated right away on a busy Sunday and our food came out hot and quick. Great dumpling texture and flavor, delicious pork buns and loved the pumpkin cakes.
Dim Sum Go Go is a fantastic place to go to if you’re planning to eat dim sum in Chinatown! Although the location is a bit farther than the usual dim sum parlors in central Chinatown. The food is quite good as always and our waiter was attentive, showing those who didn’t know how to use chopsticks use chopsticks. The pan fried pork dumplings were the most popular dish at our table.
We had a huge party of about 18 people and the staff took amazing care of us. We ordered a lot of food and it came out super fast. We pretty much ordered every item on the dimsum menu and loved everything. The surprising thing that I didn't think I would like was the tripe. It was tender and full of flavor. If you want something authentic at a reasonable price, this is the place to go.
We came to visit Chinatown on a hot summer day, after a long walk in the sun, and we were looking for a proper sit-down restaurant with air conditioning and clean restrooms — somewhere comfortable to relax for a bit. We saw this place had great reviews on Google Maps, so we decided to give it a try. The food came out quickly and was absolutely delicious. The restaurant was air-conditioned and had clean restrooms, which was exactly what we needed. It was also really nice to see that a couple was allowed in with their dog — a pet-friendly touch we appreciated. The dim sum I loved most was the curry beef — it was my first time trying that flavor and it was wow. We also had a beef and stir-fried vegetable dish that was amazing — the meat was tender and fresh, and the vegetables were crisp and flavorful. Highly recommend stopping by! Even though it’s not right on the main Chinatown street, it’s definitely worth the short walk.
I came across Go Go Dim Sum during a sejour living in the area early this year. It was a tasty spot with good dim sum that I found one weekend morning. The food was warm on a winters day and hit the spot quite authentically especially the spring rolls, steamed pork buns, shrimp dumplings (har gow) and egg tarts - all my favourites! I know my Chinese dim sum very well having grown up in Singapore so I endorse the food here. The service was not as warm however, and a little brusque. I must say I write this as I got a shock when a waiter directly asked me for a tip as I was paying my bill. I recommend an early morning seating by the window at this restaurant so as to avoid the hustle and bustle of the weekend crowds. Enjoy a tasty meal!
We tried a variety of dishes including the shrimp dumplings, pork siu mai, and veggie dumplings — each one delicately wrapped and perfectly steamed. The dim sum tasting platter is a great way to sample their best offerings, and the dipping sauces added the perfect kick. Whether you’re a longtime dim sum fan or trying it for the first time, this spot offers a satisfying, elevated take on the classic experience. Highlights: • Made-to-order dim sum (no carts) with fresh ingredients • Elegant presentation with modern twist • Dim sum tasting platter is a must-try • Clean, comfortable dining space — great for groups • Friendly service and fast turnaround
I’m very much craving dim sum as I write this review. I did spent a bit of time researching good dim sum places that accommodate my love for meat and veggies and my friends’ vegetarian diet. I found this place based on recommendations online. Truly EXCEEDED my expectations. All the food was absolutely delicious and we were all very happy we decided to go here. Make sure to make a reservation so you get the good seats close to the window with good views of the park. Dim sum tends to be a very chaotic and an overstimulating experience, but the ambiance and ordering process was a very calm and pleasant experience. Staff were also so kind and accommodating. Can’t recommend it enough!
Super fast service. Responsive and curtious. The food comes out hot and fresh. We ordered almost all they have to offer and we did not have a bad experience. Despite the name infers fast food dim sum, it’s actually the exact opposite. The quality of their food is equal to or better than any non-casual restaurant. A must go.

Best dim sum I have had, and I have been to Hong Kong. Try the dumpling sampler. Not sure why TA insists on 100+ characters.

Very very tasty food! Good came out fast, gently service, real traditional Asian food. Mix of cultures having dinner at the place, clean, space enough for families, we were 5. We truly enjoyed it.

Great freshly made dim sum. Also has other chines food on menu. Food is always good. Service a bit brusque but not a problem. bathroom could use more attention.

A real hidden gem in Chinatown. Great dim sum, decent service, and a nice atmosphere. The price was a lot cheaper than we were expecting considering the quality. Wish we'd ordered more!
Good service, fresh ingredients, tasty! We tried the salt and pepper fried squid, the steamed Chinese broccoli with oyster sauce, the rice rolls with beef, the bean curd skin with pork, the crab meat dumplings, the spare ribs with black bean sauce and the baked custard. I enjoyed everything, except I thought the spare ribs were bland, so I wouldn't order those again. They also had two sauces on the table, one was made with ginger, the other possibly a sweet and sour, not positive. I would say $$ ranking for dim sum.
We had a fantastic dim sum experience at this location. It’s slightly pricier than the surrounding places, but the exceptional quality of the food made up for it. The portions were a bit small, but everything was incredibly tasty. I highly recommend this place, especially since it’s a Michelin-rated restaurant.
Yall this place's atmosphere is bizzare, kinda like a dimsum place meant for those who have never had dimsum before. The food is fine / on par with nearby dimsum restaurants but I really can't recommend for my Asian peeps, this place only had white customers. Shrimp rice rolls were fine. Turnip cake did not taste fresh.
5 star delicious dim sum and food 4 stars for slow / missed service food Please hire at least 2 more staff members for your weekends A few tables including our table had missing orders, orders brought to our table that was not our order, or waiting for the attention of staff to order more items.......... 2 more staff members should fix this issue lol..... Also when the check comes.. its all written in chinese... so it's impossible to know if I was charged for something extra or something I did not receive. I ordered a dish that I realized after I left.. I never got. 1 star off for messy service
• This restaurant in Chinatown looks very simple but clean. • The staff works fast. • The dumplings are very tasty. It is good to try a mix of different dumplings. • This place has been in the Michelin Guide for several years in a row. • I will recommend it if you want to eat fast and don't mind the simplicity of the place.
Terrific food, my first actual dim sum experience. They didn’t have any beer, which was kind of depressing, and if you are seated in the corner/by the window, you will be crammed up against another table, making it hard to get up if you’re up against another person’s chair with a waiter between you. That said, they offer excellent table service, refilling your water and tea, which, again, are the only available beverages. The bathroom is down a steep set of stairs, so don’t bring your grandma or anyone on a wheelchair, because they’ll be outta luck.
Tried this place for the first time. I ordered pepper steak with onions with rice. You get a good amount of meat and a pint of white rice in a seperate container for a lunch special order which was quite tasty and delicious. Paying close to double compared to others selling lunch specials in the Chinatown area.
The complimentary green ginger sauce is amazing. Maybe it's more common than I realize? In the past I've only encountered similar sauces as part of Hainanese chicken dishes. Every dish I had was good: roast duck dumplings, pork soup dumplings, rice rolls with shrimp, scallion pancakes, mushroom dumplings, malaysian rolls. No complaints, other than maybe the scallion pancakes seemed oily.
I have tried a few dim sum places and so far this is my favourite. It gets busy quick (went on a Sunday around noon) tables are pretty close together compared to other places, however, I found the selection and taste overall the best. They have relatively quick service, a good selection of both meat and vegetarian options, and if you ask for vinegar, mustard, hot sauce etc they quickly bring it to you. Will definitely go back when I am craving dim sum again! Oh, and just a quick walk from the train station!
The people who work here are terrific, nothing but good times and good vibes from the waitstaff. The food was good, but they made it memorable. Everything we ate was delicious. The prices are reasonable, absolutely a place you’re going to want to check out. If you’re reading this don’t sleep on Dim Sum Go Go
I visited Chinatown with my friend and goddaughter who are Chinese so we stoped here to eat. They truly enjoyed the food and said it was very good! I ate the egg rolls which were also very good. There is a very large selection of dishes but they ordered from the list on table. We happen to go during the time they were celebrating Chinese and American independence holidays. The service was okay. What I hate about going to restaurants owned by Chinese or other foreigners they are not big on customer service. The people are never very friendly and hardly smile. I’m sure this is the culture but when people are friendly and smiling you always have a great experience.
The food is good, but the stand out is the dim sum. A particular highlight are the duck dumplings. The reason this place does not get five stars is largely because of the service. Most of the regular staff are unfriendly and unpleasant. They can also be quick to rush you out of your table even if the place is mostly empty. If the service was better and friendlier, it would be next to perfect.
After reading a recommendation for Dim Sum Go Go while on jury duty at the Supreme Courts in NYC, I decided to give it a try. The variety offered impressed me; each choice typically comes with three pieces, except for the Dim Sum platter, which boasts ten delicious pieces. Upon arrival, I was struck by the vibrant colors of the dumplings—green, pink, purple, yellow—which clearly indicated their freshness. It was a pleasant surprise to find that tea was available for a fee, although the prices were only listed in Chinese at the bottom of the menu. The ambiance was inviting, but I would recommend visiting with friends or family to fully enjoy the experience. Overall, Dim Sum Go Go delivers on both taste and atmosphere, making it a great spot for a satisfying meal in NYC.
Found the restaurant through Michelin recommendation. We arrived a little before 8pm, an hour before closing, on a Sunday evening. We was surprised to see the restaurant was still more than 50% full. We got a table right away and started to order. Tea: 1/5 star; very bland, no tea flavor at all. Food: 4/5; highly recommend: 1)roasted garlic chicken: skin was crispy and meat was tender; 2)eggplant in garlic sauce: excellent texture - soft but not mushy and flavorful, also no pepper mixed in this dish! 3)pork soup dumplings: 3 pieces per order, each dumpling was bigger than other restaurants, plenty of soup inside the dumpling. Service: 4/5; was quick and not pushy although it was one hour before closing time. Overall, we had an enjoyable meal.
Came here for dim sum during lunch. Ordered the meat and seafood dim sum platter and pork pan fried dumplings. Everything was delicious. That green sauce is addictive. I requested for a single beef dumpling in platter to be substituted with anything else to which they refused. This is such a simple ask but was not accomodated. I just asked them to remove it which they did. Michelin guide yeah, but don't hold your breath for service as it was pretty blunt.
This was part of our Chinatown food tour, which was a Christmas gift, and the first restaurant where we met our great tour guide. We had a taste of their dumplings and we each were also served a small roast pork bun. Tasty and satisfying overall, including the different sauces to dip in - the service was fine too.
Very touristy - we didn’t see any locals during our weekday lunch - but the food was surprisingly good and authentic. My top recommendations for food: - Shrimp rice rolls (honestly, any of the rice rolls are a safe bet) - Beef tripe with black pepper sauce - Chicken feet with black bean sauce (they were especially tender) - Bean curd skin with pork Classic: - Turnip cake One-and-done (worth trying once, but wouldn’t reorder): - Crispy tofu stuffed with shrimp (even the table next to us left it unfinished) Knocking off a star because: - Prices are relatively high compared to other dim sum spots - Tea is served by default and charged, which feels like you're hit with a table fee On the plus side, they accept cards, which is convenient if you don’t carry cash.
As you can see, we ordered 2 vegetables dishes and 1 noodle dish. On the menu clearly says that the vegetables dishes come with white rice. When I ask for the rice, they want to charge me $2/ bowl. When I told them it's free, they told me it's lunch special. I told them that the menu didn't state it is for lunch special. Then they told me it's for to go. I told them show me where on the menu state it is for to go. They then whisper to each other and say give him the big bowl for the both of them. They came back with a small bowl full to the top. I asked for an empty bowl so I can split it.
No nonsense place to get brilliant dim sum. We had just checked into our hotel and wanted quick food and dumplings were the perfect option. This place was highly rated for dim sum and we can see why. Very authentic good price and lots of variety. Food came out very quickly and we got stuck in straight away. Service was efficient, seemed al little annoyed when I asked for more dipping sauce. When we were asked if we wanted anything else I said I wasn’t sure they wanted an answer and basically gave us the bill straight away. Really high quality food for anyone wanting authentic food. They take card payment too. Recommend pork and shrimp steamed dumplings and the duck steamed dumplings.

Good food but no better than the other good dim sum spots. And it's great that it's BYOB. But terrible rude service. Never again.

Our group of six walked in just before 6pm with no reservations and we were seated right away. The restaurant is not the traditional dim sum carts style. You order from menus that have a few pictur…
Clean interior. Good quality "morning tea". They have a paper menu and laminated menu with photos. I wish the egg tarts were a little bigger..
I liked it a lot, wife not so much. The soup dumplings are small, but really tasty. We both liked the pork dumpling, but she did not like the beef and onion dumpling. Scallion pancakes were e…

I came across Go Go Dim Sum during a sejour living in the area early this year. It was a tasty spot with good dim sum that I found one weekend morning. The food was warm on a winters day and hit t…
We’ve been coming here for years and it remains a wonderful dim sum restaurant. It is clean and sleek, without being over the top or too fussy inside. It is also authentic and delicious. My go-t…
The dumplings here were okay. Some were better than others but just okay is all I can come up with. In addition, we were randomly served tea although we had not ordered any. At first, I presume this must be complementary but lo and behold it was included on our check. Maybe on another day with a different server things are would be better however three stars is all I can muster.
Dimsum taste good, but the price is a little bit expensive than other restaurant, I mean same tasting then we have better choice. But they open whole day for you to eat dimsum, that's the different between other restaurants.
A dim sum place that is good for those that did not grow up eating dim sum: they provide clear descriptions of each order with an accompanying photo, and divide the menu into sections like vegetarian, dessert, etc. You then order from a paper sheet by checking off a list you get with the menu, rather than waiting for a cart to come around with a lady calling out in Chinese what's in her cart like many of the places in the U.S. They also up the presentation factor by wrapping their dumplings like pretty little packages, with vibrant colors you don't see in the more traditional dim sum restaurants. But they also have the usual standbys for the dim sum-experienced like spare ribs, roast pork buns, chicken feet, tofu wraps. They also put a twist on some of the usual dishes to provide a unique spin for the dim sum-weary, such as roast duck dumplings and shrimp and scallop dumplings. Like all sit down dim sum places, it gets crowded on weekends around brunch time but they move through the line fairly quickly, especially if you are a group of two.
Very authentic Dim Sum place. Unfortunately, we found the food to be average, I've had better Dim Sum in Denver. We were visiting from out of town and thought we would try it out based on a local influencer's recommendation. The service wasn't great, we felt rushed the entire time and they were annoyed with us for staying seated without paying, even though we had not been served our last dish yet. I think there are probably better Dim Sum places in New York City.
If you are genuinely looking for a dim sum experience like the Cantonese enjoy tea and snacks, then this place is not for you. It's designed for westerners who aren't familiar with Yum Cha and Dim Sum culture. When we went in, there were no other Chinese parties except us. Food ingredient was fresh, except for a tofu skin roll we took home that we found a piece of plastic wrap. But, overall the flavor side was rather bland. Service was good, and food came out fast. We came for the Michelin guide recommendation and left disappointed as usual with Michelin guide restaurants.
Fast, helpful service and plenty of food for the price. Our table filled up quickly with steamer baskets, and it was easy to order for a mixed group. There was good variety of vegetarian and meat options. The space is tight and gets busy, and I’m not sure how to explain it other than it felt it catered or drew in a more Americanized crowd. The food wasn’t bad by any means but nothing really stood out either. Not my first choice for dim sum, but a fine option if you’re already in the area.
pretty good food but not the best dim sum ... but let's say i ate some and dim sum more do you get my joke did you laugh it was a play on dim sum okay dim sum more of the review is to come\n\nthey ma…

Decided to try this cute looking dim sum spot! It's okay, but I don't think I would go back. I was shocked they charge for tea here (never heard of a dim sum spot charging for tea...) \n\nThe sou…
The dim sum was mini size when you compared with most dim sum restaurants. Some dim sum was frozen food just reheated it when you ordered it. It's a small restaurant and there is very little space between the tables. The price was over average too. It's not for local residents but visitors.
Terrible service. Attitude. Didn't refill water. Refused to give change for tip (to get a bigger tip). Dirty bathrooms. Really didn't want to say this, but must be said. Go to another place. Plenty…
Horrible service. Before dining in, we asked if we could order noodles for our kid without soy sauce. They affirmed it was possible, so we chose to dine in. However, after we were seated, another …
Disappointing service, thick rice paper roll skin, very tiny portion dim sum. As someone who enjoy and frequent HK cuisine establishments often and around the world, I don’t recommend this restaurant. Reasons: Food, service, portion and price. For my personal experience, read on… The restaurant was about 20% Asian looking folks who spoke native mandarin dialects but rest were tourists. Tourists can appreciate dim sum too; but stating what’s observed. You could tell from the way they placed their orders, they were drawn there by the hype. There was a long line of people barely able to get inside the restaurant doors. When I finally made it in, I first asked how long is the line and wait. The young man replied “right now, no wait. Just give me your order.” He gave me the disposable dim sum paper menu and a restaurant menu on a hard cover folder that has pictures inside. Happy that my to-go order will be quick, I marked my dim sum order, gave him my order and then waited. When I asked if I could pay for my food , the same guy looked flustered and realized he lost my order. He went through the garbage bin and couldn’t find it. I stood there watching as he frantically tried to search the entire front desk. He finally asked me to reorder. Sure. I remarked all my order again and then I reminded him I’m in a hurry. He proceeded to tell me it’ll be a 5min wait once order is sent in. I repeated, “just 5 mins?” Then, he changed his mind, “5-10min but I’ll tell them to hurry.” Thinking he was trying to make up for the mess up loosing my order, I believed him and gratefully thank him. After I used the restroom, which was disgusting, I checked in again to which he added another 5-10min to my wait. I decided to leave to check on my son in the car parked half a block away. When I returned, expecting to pick up my order but ofc, it was still not ready. At this point, another staff snapped at me, “can’t you see we are very busy?” I told them I was told earlier to expect my order to be ready a while ago. So, he said he’ll check in the kitchen. He disappeared for a long time and when back, said it’s still not ready. At this point, I was going to cancel my order. The dim sum are all readily made - especially on a weekend where the demand is high and they have high turn over. I didn’t order any stir fry which typically takes longer to prep. In this case, it’s a matter of packaging my dim sum order into the plastic to go containers and into a brown paper bag. There were no to-go orders as everyone was waiting in line to eat in. The phone never rang. So, that first guy lied - he never pushed my order when he said he would. Second, he lied again when he told me 5, then 10min wait. The second guy eventually emerged from the kitchen with my order. He apologized for the wait and I was about to thank him for trying anyway. But NO, he didn’t stop there. He looked me in my face and said with a fist of scorn, “we’ll never take your order again.” I could not believe the arrogance from the staff. I was not expecting to be served first or faster than anyone. I waited like everyone. A proper apology for messing up and loosing my order the first time would be appropriate. Next, do not mislead customers into a false time frame where you cannot deliver. If it takes 20-30mins, do not say 5-10mins, and then get mad at customers and expect them to sympathize with you because you cannot cope with the crowds and gave a wrong impression on delivery expectations. The reason it earned many high ratings is because the restaurant is on Google map and draws many tourists. Walk across the street, a restaurant large old sign on Catherine street said “dim sum”. The hk noodles were all $10.50 each. Unassuming with a small entry, but you could see so much more authentic, friendly and delicious with good portion. I wish I drove on a few more yards, dim sum signs were everywhere. These were all not on Google map. They draw local customers who truly appreciate hk cuisine without basing on tourists ratings.
