Sabay Elmhurst Reviews
Good Thai food in Roosevelt and good price as well. Friendly staff and a lot of Thai food with authentic test. Really love this place.
Great food, and pretty reasonable prices! The northern Thai dishes were great to see on the menu, since it’s generally hard to find northern food in the city. The Tum Kha-Nun was very unique, and I would highly recommend anything from the northern Thai section. Everything tasted great, and the waitress was very kind. I would definitely come again!
This place is low key THE BEST and most authentic thai resto in the entirety of nyc period. i don't understand why it has not gone viral yet. anyway, i went with 2 other friends and ordered literally everything. most importantly, the price is affordable as well. we ordered 6-7 dishes with some drinks and they were only $100!
📍sabay thai restaurant best thai resto in the entire nyc 〰️ this place is low key THE BEST and most authentic thai resto in the entirety of nyc period. i don’t understand why it has not gone viral yet. anyway, i went with 2 other friends and ordered literally everything. most importantly, the price is affordable as well. we ordered 6-7 [huge] dishes w some drinks and they were only $100! 🎈pad thai: basic but this is the true flavor 🎈braised pork basil: my fav 🎈northern style spicy minced pork: this dish is new to me and the flavors kick 🎈spicy pork rib soup 🎈egg noodle w crab meat: simple but full of flavors 🎈grilled brisket: a bit too dry i just wish i lived in queens
We ordered a fish mango salad, a soft shell crab fried rice, and a Thai lemonade ice tea. The food tasted delicious. I liked the flavor fish source they used on my salad a lot. I have to mention that they are friendly. I would love to try more dishes but I was just in Queen for a short time. Only one thing that I can taste the oil they used to fried my food had not been changed for a while. It was not too bad. But my throat was sensitive enough to tell. Maybe others won’t notice it.
Heard about the spiciest drunken noodle in town? Not yet! Just be there. The price is reasonable with portion sizes. The items which are labelled as spicy, if you dont know what to expect say low spicy or medium spicy. The entrées are shareable if you order other food or appetizers. The calamari is not tiny slices and gives you a chicken fry crust. The clear soup steals raw show, and it's complimentary with lunch packages.
One of the best Thai restaurant in queens, they provide varieties of Thai dishes, we ordered 1. glass noodle salad with pork and seafood, this is a good appetizers, refreshing and a bit spicy for foreigners (can order less spicy) 2. Crab fried rice: this is really good, lots of crab meat 3. Spicy noodle: spicy and sour with varieties of ingredients, fish ball, pork, veggies Will come back for sure
A quick go-to place for Lunch or dinner. I tried their lunch special and it's really delicious. For dessert I had a sticky rice with mango and it's amazing! You should try the dessert. The staff were really polite and I saw on the other table the waitress was teaching the woman to speak Thai because she wanted to learn. They're very friendly!
Sabay is a solid spot for casual Thai food. The BBQ beef was excellent – really tender, almost like steak slices. The summer rolls were good, though I would have preferred a peanut sauce over the horseradish paste that came with it. The Pad Thai was packed with flavor, but the chicken was a bit dry, and the dish was a little too sweet. Overall, I still enjoyed my meal. The service was very welcoming and friendly, which added to the overall positive experience.
Seems like its visited by thai locals. Crispy Pork w basil sauce & papaya salad were good ! Def get the medium spicy as it is plenty spicy. The portions seem small for the price . The crispy pork is a dish for 18$ yet the flavors are good. The waiter guy was very friendly
The elderly lady in the store is mean, first of all, and the food was not good. I ordered a dish with fried rice and it barely had any rice- it has two huge cucumber pieces and waaayy too many vegetables, it felt like a veggie dish instead of a rice dish.
First time ordering from this restaurant. We ordered from Uber eats and while I was eating I found a dead cockroach in my food! When I called them and confronted them. They didn’t even bother to apologize rather they gave us other excuses that the picture where it shows the food was not from their restaurant! Horrible experience!! Thankfully because we ordered from Uber eats we were able to get full refund!
