Tea Cup Cafe Elmhurst Reviews
Great dishes! We had -Moo ka ta a Thai pork hot pot. -Papaya salad with tiny blue crab -Suea rong hai a really flavorful sliced beef dish with origins in Northern Thailand -Beef tartare from the issan region of Thailand. The owner and the staff were super nice. Check out Tea Cup for unique Thai flavors and don't skip on their drinks like the coconut milk with butterfly pea and shaved ice dessert.
This place feels just like home — every visit fills both my heart and my stomach! Honestly, no words needed when it comes to the food… it’s that good 🥰🥰. I find myself coming here at least 2–3 times a week, and every single time ends with dessert (because how could I not?!). I try to resist for the sake of my blood sugar, but the sweetness here always wins!”🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷
This is hands down the best Thai BBQ in NYC! The flavor is so authentic, just like home. The prices are great, and everything is super tasty — from the grilled meats to the dipping sauces. Even the desserts are delicious! The staff are always friendly and welcoming. I love everything about this place and always leave full and happy. A must-visit if you’re craving real Thai BBQ!
This place has what I have been craving for quite sometime: tom yum dry noodles. It's a festivity serves in a satisfying, delicious bowl containing thin egg noodles, tom yum seasoning, fish ball, fish, and bean sprouts (these were my own preference on the noodles type and protein). Paired this with Thai tea, I had one of the best Thursdays of my life :D
When I came here I was a little skeptical as it isn’t the cleanest and the server seemed unsure and nervous. But once the food came I recognized this place’s beauty. Instead of criticizing this place for it’s faults, I implore that you come here and give the business the support it deserves so it can improve. The Vietnamese influences are not lost in the taste of the dishes, but are appropriately changed to suit a western palette.
We discovered this little gem in September last year, and now we come here often. It’s my go-to spot for me and my friends. The menu offers a wide range, from basic Thai food like noodles to more hardcore dishes like Tom Zab Hot Pot. As a Thai person, I’m very happy to vouch that this restaurant gives me a true taste of Thailand, and the food here reminds me so much of the good food back home.
I’m a fan of this corner cafe. It’s right in the heart of Little Thailand and they have sweet and savory dishes to try. I had Thai hotpot for the first time here and it was much different than the hotpot I’m used to eating, but I liked it. It was much more intense in flavor with more notes of acidity. They also have an amazing duck noodle soup and the boat noodles that I’d recommend. The dessert option is great too, I didn’t know what to expect from the Rooty Tooty but it was perfectly sweet. The staff here were super nice as well, we definitely felt welcomed here!
Hands down some of the best soups in the city and the best restaurant in Little Thailand! Amazing service with attentive staff. Atmosphere is calm and relaxing with comfortable outdoor and indoor seating. The duck soup, larb tuna, and Thai bbq are huge highlights plus BYOB. A must in Little Thailand
Update: 08/22 (see the noodle soup in a red bowl) quality of their boat noodle soup went down. The broth was way too sweet and there was not much flavor beside that there was no herbal smell too. There were very small amounts of meat, the meat I received wasn't even meat in it just a big chunk of fat. I also got 2 half-cut fish balls. The portion also got smaller. 05/22 One of my favorite Thai restaurants. Always come here for their boat noodle soup. They are very generous with their ingredients. I really really really like their bread with kaya (pandan). Other restaurants would just steam the bread but this place put extra time and effort in cutting the bread, toasted, and making sure that it is slightly crispy, and I'm very satisfied with it. Not a big fan of their minced chicken salad tho, it was very watery and the flavor wasn't in the chicken. The staff were very friendly as well, I felt very welcomed throughout the dine in.
We saw a post on Facebook’s Queens foodie group recommending shaved ice from Tea Cup Cafe. We were craving for refreshing dessert after our dinner, so we decided to give it a try. The decor is humble and the space is kind of tiny, but the reason is they stacked lots of boxes in the indoor dining area. It looked really messy and the maintenance was bad. We had their Rooty Tooty Ovaltine, which is their signature shaved ice bowl with lots of topping and Thai Coffee. The food was decent and we love the shaved ice bowl so much. We would give 4-star review for the food only. However, the staff was rude and impatient. There are two more concerns that we won’t visit again, one is they take cash only and another is the $10 minimum spending for each customer.
