Beautiful atmosphere decor reminds you of Greece. Staff very friendly. We got a chicken gyro and beef&lamb gyro and they were delicious, very well seasoned and there was an abundance of meat in the gyro. Can’t wait to go back and try more of the menu!

This is exactly what the Bayside/Flushing area needed, the ambiance of the place is as Greek as it gets. The service from the staff is welcoming and accommodating especially for families. The food is fresh and packed with flavor and portion. I highly recommend and will be a regular. The chicken souvlaki, pork gyro, burger, and appetizers are to die for.

Voula and Carlo made our lunch experience fantastic. Beet salad with feta, spanakopita, dolmades, dako salad were all winners. The food was fresh, the hospitality was amazing, the vibe was chill and the Greek coffee was delicious. I will definitely return!

We had their food last night for the first time! We have tried all the Greek spots in the area! Their lemon potatoes, Greek French fries, calamari, all their meats, the pita bread and even the tsatsiki sauce were great!

It is a beautiful new Greek restaurant in the neighborhood. We shared a Greek salad, a gyro platter, and a selection of dips. We also ordered a bottle of very reasonably priced Greek wine. Everything was wonderful, fresh, and very flavorful. Looking forward to returning and trying other dishes.

This place is fairly new and certainly a hidden gem. I've dined here a couple of times before writing this review as I am always skeptical of a places consistency, however each time I've eaten here the food as been delicious. Their souvlakia are very tasty and tender, their fried zucchini meatballs melt in your mouth, tzatziki is delicious and not overpowered by garlic like so many places do it's made just right and even their brunch menu (which I had on a previous visit) gives even Manhattan restaurants a run for their money; highly recommend the French toast. The staff is super friendly and Voula (who I believe is the owner?) brings a ton of enthusiasm to the restaurant which you can see she is passionate about and rightfully so I mean just look at the place the renovation done here really makes you feel like you are sitting in Greece! Well done Plateia you've earned my vote for best local greek spot. Highly recommend and will be returning... often!

Pleasantly surprised with the quality of food and service. We had a party of six and everyone enjoyed their food . The beeftekia were excellent , the chicken gyro reminded my daughter of the ones she ate in Greece over the summer, and the salmon was a good portion and delicious. The lemon potatoes and the French fries were top notch and very flavorful. The prices are very reasonable and the wine was great. Some minor improvements can be made to the paidakia(lamb chops) as I felt there was just something missing in the seasoning . And the keftedakia (greek meatballs) were overdone however they still tasted great.

Wow this new spot in the neighbourhood is a must if you like Greek/ Mediterranean food. While here I had the calamari which was super tender, the saganaki feta with honey amazing!!! Dakos salad bravo!!! And the gyro plater, very very tasty. Highly recommend and the staff is very welcoming and will make you feel right at home. Also amazing wines.

Just happened upon this place and ate here today. Cant remember having better wait staff- so kind, friendly and attentive! Love the cool clean blue and white interior design and decor, which made me and my friend feel that much cooler on the hot summer day. Food was delicious- ordered from brunch menu, couldn't finish my dish (gryo, eggs, and potatoes) as food was plentiful between my main dish, the pita chips and dip they brought to the table and the dips my friend and I ordered for a starter. Definitely coming back and bringing more family and friends. Highly recommend!

I stopped by this restaurant after having a quick smoke outside and realized I was 20 cents short for the platter I wanted. Surprisingly, they let it slide. When I sat down to eat, one of the staff came over and handed me back the the whole bill! I wasn’t sure how to react, so I just thanked her and dug into the food—which was actually amazing. Before I left, I made sure to let them know how grateful I was.

As their warm hospitality reminded me of how I had felt just a week ago during Thanksgiving, the gyro I had ordered was ready. Grateful, in more ways than expected, I exited with my head looking up to the sky and welcoming the bits of snow dropping. I would walk home with thoughts of family, friends, and how tenuous our presence really is, but knowing that's what makes it special. The gyro was tasty and good.

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with friendly smiles and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere that immediately set the tone for the evening. The food was absolutely delicious — everything tasted fresh and authentically Greek. The grilled octopus was tender and perfectly seasoned, the meatballs were so moist and so good, and the gyro was delicious and full of flavor. The tzatziki and warm pita were the best I’ve ever had, and the galaktobouriko at the end of the meal was the perfect sweet finish. What really stood out was the staff’s genuine hospitality — they took the time to explain the dishes and made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. If you’re looking for a place that serves real Greek cuisine with heart and care, this is it. I can’t wait to come back!

We had a fantastic experience at Plateia GR. The atmosphere was cozy and stylish, and the staff was friendly and professional. Every dish we tried was delicious, especially the gyros—perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The dessert was also a highlight! Great service, amazing food, and a place we’ll definitely return to. Highly recommended!

Although single server was working hard, had to ask for napkins(none on table), did not refill water and did not come by after we were served.

Great neighbor restaurant. We ordered the mix grill and it was fresh and flavorful. The restaurant is bright and clean. I liked the way the kitchen is in open view so you can see where the magic happens!!!! We will be back for sure!

I recently visited Plateia for lunch, and overall, it was a delightful experience with a few minor notes for improvement. I started with the Chicken Souvlaki Sticks, which were fantastic. They use chicken thighs instead of breasts, resulting in juicy and flavorful skewers that really hit the spot. The accompanying tzatziki was spot on—smooth and not too overpowering, perfectly complementing the chicken. I also ordered the Greek Salad. While it was decent, I felt it could be enhanced. I requested it without onions, and I think it definitely could have benefited from the addition of green peppers for some extra crunch and flavor. The tomatoes were cut a bit too small, which made them watery rather than fresh and vibrant. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, creating a lovely atmosphere. The service was attentive and friendly, which added to the positive vibe of the meal. Given that Plateia is a new spot, I understand that they’re still fine-tuning their offerings. I’m looking forward to returning to see how they evolve and to try more of their menu. Overall, a solid lunch experience!

The décor was lovely and really transports you to the Greek isles with its traditional Greek blue and white color scheme, shutters, painted sidewalk and blond wood floors and tables. We were greeted as soon as we came in and the owner even came over to chat with us during our meal. We got: Choice of 3 Spreads ($16): we choose the Tzatziki (cucumber yogurt dip), Kopanisti (spiced feta dip) and Eggplant dip. It came with toasted pita bread. Our favorite hands down among the 3 dips was the Tzatziki. It was tangy and creamy and yummy. Pita Sandwich ($14): this comes in your choice of protein (10 options) and we got one each with Pork and Chicken Souvlaki. The sandwiches had tomatoes, onions, tzatziki and French fries. Very hearty and filling. We thought the Chicken Souvlaki was good, but we loved the Pork Souvlaki. We ended up ordering an extra stick of Pork Souvlaki meat as a result. French Fries ($9): delicious, crispy and fresh. I wish it came with a dip but alas we had to make do with ketchup Single Pork Souvlaki Stick ($4): perfectly grilled, smoky, tender pieces of pork. We ordered this because the pita sandwich didn’t have enough meat for our liking. It’s nice not to have to schlep to Astoria for good Greek food. And soon they will have an outdoor patio area in the back of the restaurant. Another good reason to come and visit them.

I haven’t eaten here yet, but just a word of criticism. The place has no sign that says what kind of restaurant it is. If you’re traveling in France, Louis, you would know what restaurant this is at least put a sign on the window Greek restaurant.

I ordered the Patates me avga on their brunch menu and I got scrambled eggs thrown on top of French fries. :( super disappointing. If you’re going to add traditional items to your menu make sure the employees know how to cook them. Otherwise everyone else at my table enjoyed their food!

It is not often that one gets the opportunity to compare a dish from two different restaurants. That happened last night and tonight. Last night I ordered a Chicken Souvlaki at Gyro Jimmys and it was delicious. The chicken was freshly grilled, juicy & flavorful. Also plenty of it. So good in fact that the following night I felt like having the same meal. I was in a different location however. I find Plateia GR online. Reviews were generally good, so I decide to try it. What a let down. The souvlaki had more french fries stuffed into it than chicken. Both were cold and appeared to have been premade. No comparison to Gyro Jimmys and $3 more.

I had ordered a chicken gyro and chicken soup . The chicken gyro was very dry and tasted like plastic I did not like the gyro at all. The chicken soup tasted like hospital food. I wanted to try this place thinking the outcome was going to be good and it was a fail. I’m sorry for this bad review but if I’m being honest I definitely do not recommend this place at all.

Two ladies at the counter have bad attitude. Really bad experience.

Ordered a gyro from uber eats from this place for my dad. He got the worse food poisoning of his life. He was up the entire night vomiting three times, and was weak and ill for 3 days straight.

Went to this resturant for diner unfortunately when I received my salad there was a hair in it the waiter did replace the salad but at that point lost my appetite when I receieved my check they charge me for my salad which I didn’t not appreciate especially since there was a hair in the first one horrible customer skills
