Mahsil Flushing Reviews
Our family has been here twice and loved our experience both times. The food is excellent and comforting. So good, my son wanted to come for his bday again. The ambience is fun, clean, and having the outdoor seating for warmer weather is a plus. A great place to break bread with family and friends. Service is always fast and servers are willing to answer questions. Great addition to the neighborhood.
Great place for korean specialty pizza, soups, chicken and rice cakes! Also a large selection of alcoholic drinks.
A little too loud honestly. Beer selection is amazing if you're into that. Crowded on weekends and empty on weekdays even at dinner rush time. Favorite dish is the army stew. Great price and great flavoring! They have a small free appetizer corn salad and daikon. Their cheese crusted pizza seems microwaved(?). The wings are average. The squid fries are really good. They're loaded fries as good too!
Very aesthetic environment! I got the golden crust potato pizza which was packed with toppings. I usually never eat crust on my pizza but the cheese and sweet potato coming together to make the golden crust hits just right. The chicken was very juicy and crispy, with the right amount of flavor. 10/10 I would go again!!
Everything we got was extremely delicious. If you come 12pm-3pm it’s lunch pricing which is really good. Everything was affordable except the cheese balls which are 5 for $10 which is a bit expensive but they are so so so yummy. Definitely recommend the pizza and pasta and cheese balls!!!
Huge menu of a mix of traditional Korean dishes and American fusion. The traditional dishes were amazing, fresh, and well paced. Service was super friendly but didn't hover. Awesome beer selection. We'll be back.
Mahsil is a hidden gem in Flushing! The Korean-style pizza was unique and delicious, and the fried chicken was crispy and flavorful. The atmosphere is cozy, and the staff is so friendly and attentive. Perfect spot for a fun night out with friends. Highly recommend
My to go to! Introduced this place to so many of my friends already and everyone loved it. Especially the pizza with sweet potato is a must!
Awesome place! Delicious food across the menu, and the prices are very reasonable.
A Korean pub in Flushing. Youngsters and families and solos stop by to enjoy a break with chicken wings, beer and pizzas. French fries and Cokes are also served with quality. Per person $15 starts, even big pots are mostly under $30. I paid $35 for two, $7 tip. Young place if you want to keep it under $20 per person in a clean, spacious and cool local restaurant.
Our foodie friend brought me to visit Mahsil which is one of the trendiest Korean comfort food spots recently since she had a great dining experience. The decor is elegant, cozy and modern with lively ambiance. There was a decent variety on their menu and we got their Sampler Platter, Stir Fried Chicken Gizzard, Mahsil Udon and Mahsil Pizza Gold Crust Medium size to share with a group of three adults and a kid. We couldn’t finish everything and had leftover for our next day lunch since their portion is great. The taste was overall delicious, especially the udon and golden crust pizza. The broth of udon was flavorful and the noodle was tender. The golden pizza was special for its mashed potatoes by the crust and it’s perfect to go with cheese.
My wife came with her girlfriends before and raved about how good the place was. So the opportunity came up to try it with our friends. Ambiance - clean and bright and modern. There are coolers along a wall with all sorts of canned/bottled drinks. On the other wall is a bar with taps and various drinks with prices according to the size you want written directly in to the subway tile wall! And there are 4 size options - glass, mug, tower, and like gigantic (ok I don’t remember what it’s called but it was big) Ok food-basically, everything was very good except (surprisingly) the marinated Korean fried chicken. Rundown: truffle fries - really good. Ddukbokki was tasty (little soft for me) but had a few pieces of fried Mandoo. The mahsil pizza (the one with the sweet potatoes ring because I had to try it) delicious and reminded me of Pizza Hut supreme toppings. We got the original fried chicken (fka “tong dak” back in the day except this was a whole chicken cut up and then fried) - this was excellent. The marinated wings were just ok mostly because it was smothered in a heavy barbecue sauce which was so thick and cloyingly sweet. But the piece de resistance was the scallion fried chicken. This was tender chicken meat fried in a slightly lighter batter, thin drizzle of a honey mustard like sauce and thinly sliced scallions and greens on top. Epic and not that common (I think). Service was responsive and friendly. Just such a great place for a different kind of chimek experience. Highly recommend.
I went on a Thursday afternoon with my dog & we sat outdoors. Really quiet & slow inside. The server (whose name I forgot T^T) was really nice & attentive. I got the original drumsticks, truffle fries, & caprese salad. Server took my order & asked if my dog would like some water, which was nice cause most places don’t do that. Since everything was freshly made it took a little bit to come out. Not long tho, maybe about 20mins. Everything was reallllllllly delicious. The truffle oil fries were so good in my opinion. You really tasted the truffle but not in an overpowering way. The taste was more subtle sort of in my opinion. Caprese salad was fresh, the homemade balsamic on it was great. The chicken oh man juicy as heck. Couldn’t finish it all and got it to go. Server even asked if I wanted any extra dipping sauce! All that food for about $40.
Such a hidden gem in the neighborhood. It’s a pub-style spot known for its energetic, casual atmosphere. It serves a wide range of alcoholic drinks and the music reflects that vibe, especially during dinner hours As for the food, stellar. Great korean food selection, but the only downside was the limited access to parking. Will return again to try the spicy seafood stir fried udon the servers recommended! Also, the review posted by someone else down there caught my attention and I happened to be another customer present during the exact time this person visited lol. I also work in the service industry, so I had to speak up because people like her are the reason why service workers have it hard. From what I witnessed, I was uncomfortable with her and her mother’s attitude toward the workers. It was during a busy dinner rush, and the policy around booth seating was made very clear: booths are prioritized for groups of three or more. I saw they only ordered one pizza, which fit perfectly fine on their table. It would have definitely been more convenient for me and my partner to sit in a booth as well, but that’s not discrimination, that’s simply a policy to manage space and flow during peak hours Anyway, fast service and professionalism from the workers, considering they had to deal with such people mentioned
I can confidently say I am a regular, I want to start off with saying, it’s hard for me to rate a restaurant because I am picky with service and food quality. I can and will be giving this location a solid 5 stars because the service here is outstanding. When they are busy I can understand if they can’t get to you but when it’s not as busy, you get the service of a Michelin starred restaurant. The food is simply outstanding and you can expect the same food quality without any compromises. Thank you to all Mahsil employees for the great experiences I’ve encountered. Sam has been one of the two waiters who’s always gone above and beyond. I wish I could remember the second waiters name but I believe she was a supervisor or manager.
This Pizza is AMAZING!! I’ve had some of the best in NY and this place is a MUST! Clean, professional, good music! Good energy!
This is THE spot to go to if you’re hanging with your friends at night. My boyfriend and I got the large bulgolgi pizza with sweet potato, and it was to die for 😭😭. I don’t know if I can get back to eating regular pizza after this. We also got the soy garlic half chicken, AND LEMME TELL YOU, it is a surprisingly crazy amount of meat. The sauce was so good and it really made the chicken pop. We actually ended up ordering too much food and had to take some home. I’d say that this much food ( half chicken and large pizza) could probably feed 3 people. The prices were really affordable too, so I really recommend Mahsil!!
The pizza and wings were AMAZING! The vibes of this place was really awesome. Pick a beer sit down, order food from friendly staff, and enjoy. The other patrons here we're having a good time on a Sunday night!
I’ve been to this restaurant several times for lunch and dinner. I’ve had a wonderful experience each time. I’ve tried the kimchi doria, rose pasta, corn nuggets, soy garlic wings, soy garlic dumplings, and golden crust pizza, and I would recommend all of them. I wish there were more salad/veggie dishes. The staff is always warm and welcoming. It doesn’t usually get super busy. The booths and tables are all fairly roomy, so you don’t feel like you’re too close to the table next to you even when the place is packed. The drink selection is great too, though I find their soju to be a bit pricey.
Went here because I was craving some Korean pizza! I didn’t expect there to be such a huge menu selection because I wanted to try so many things. I got the mahsil golden crust pizza, half and half wings, and spam fries. The pizza was really good loved the cheese crust. The chicken wings were really airy and crunchy but would of preferred the soy garlic to have a bit more flavor to them. The sweet and spicy flavor was prefect for me though could be more spicy for my spicy lovers. Overall the vibes here are chill with so many beer options and would come back here again to try their other menu items!
Love this place ever since it opened in the neighborhood. Always fresh delicious food and great service. Definitely a favorite! Now they have 2-5pm buy one get one free beer (canned or bottled price $6 and $7 ones) and food deals. Got the 10 spicy soy garlic wings with sweet potato fries this time.
The environment is nicely decorated, and it plays Korean pop music. The Korean Army Stew is pretty good, but there's nothing special about it compared to other Korean places. We should have gone with the seafood udon that our server recommended—well, next time. The beef brisket with bean sprouts is really good; it's my first time having something like this in a Korean restaurant.
Super amazing and friendly staff! The food was good, though a bit on the pricey side. Visited right when the restaurant opened so it was empty and quiet, but the service was very quick. Photos: Oven Bulgogi Spaghetti, Medium Cheese Pizza (w/ cheese crust) and Medium Mahsil Pizza (w/ cheese crust)
As an Indian, I’m always on the lookout for a flavor-filled meal, and Mahsil in Flushing never disappoints. The hot pizza and teobokki are my go-to – both are packed with flavor and always hit the spot. This place gets it right every time, and it’s easily one of my favorites when I’m craving something satisfying. Highly recommend
Very cute Korean restaurant that serves Korean-style pizza and a lot of other finger foods/bar-style foods. The pizza was very tasty but a bit too heavy and greasy for my liking. However the Korean fried chicken was everything you could ask for—the meat was juicy, seasoned, and tender. Fries were also very tasty, crispy, and thick.
Even tho this place has the korean pizza option, we ordered that it was great. The sweet potato paste right before the crust gives it a sweet interesting bread taste. But my favorite is actually the pasta! The texture of noodle is amazing, and the sauce is sooo creamy and gave me seafood boil cajun garlic butter vibesz. The shrimps was big too. The pear alc is also very tasty. Theres a ton of fridges with beers you can choose yourself, and the menu is so extensive(both food and beer wise). The interior is modern diner feel, with a black and white tile bathroom design. I dont hate it.
This is THE PLACE to be for Korean Chicken & Pizza! Delicious dishes, awesome service. Their soy garlic chicken wing was crispy and flavorful, and the sauce was phenomenal. The Hawaiian pizza with gold crust was the best Korean pizza I've ever had. It's definitely worth a try! They also serve sooooo many different kinds of beer from around the world. I truly recommend this place for foodies & beer lovers;)
Went on a Friday night and got the cajun fries, spam fries, and Mahshil pizza (gold crust). The food was great and it was nice to find a restaurant that had the golden pizza crust since it's uncommon to find in the area! Great service and an aesthetic place to go for drinks/outing with friends. Will definitely be back!
I can’t believe I haven’t written a review yet for Mahsil, our absolute favorite Korean food spot! We’ve been coming here for a long time, and they’ve never let us down. The staff is always friendly, the place is clean and well-kept, and most importantly, the food is consistently spot-on and delicious. I always order the Korean fried chicken in spicy soy garlic — I swear I could eat this all day. Crispy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. Their cheese tteokbokki is another must-order. The cheese overload pairs so well with the spiciness of the gochujang sauce — such a satisfying combo. The pizza with sweet potato edges is a family favorite and a fun twist that everyone loves. My son always orders the bibimbap doria, which honestly reminds me so much of Pizza Hut Philippines (just taste it — IYKYK!). It’s comforting, cheesy, and nostalgic. We also enjoy the rose pasta — creamy, garlicky, and really well done. And the fish cake soup is perfect for colder days, filled with meats and veggies and so comforting. We’re basically regulars at this point, and one of the best things about Mahsil is the consistency. Same great flavors, same quality, every single visit. Highly recommend if you’re craving solid Korean comfort food!
I’m not a person who usually posts reviews, but I felt like I had to after what I witnessed in the store. I’m a regular customer because the service here is always great, and the staff are consistently awesome. Also as a beer lover they have a great selection of draft and bottles. While I was here tonight, another customer caused a scene over a pizza order. From what I heard, the order was placed by phone for a pepperoni pizza, and that is exactly what was made. If I order a pepperoni pizza, the only topping I expect is pepperoni, so the situation seemed very clear. The staff calmly explained multiple times that the image being referenced was from an outdated website. Even as the couple continued to escalate and became aggressive, the employees remained patient, respectful, and professional. I genuinely wished I could have stepped in to defend them because they handled the situation so well and did not deserve the treatment they were getting. From an outside perspective, it honestly felt like the customer was trying to get free pizza, which is unfair to the staff who were simply doing their jobs. I will definitely keep coming back.
Korean fried chicken it’s their specialty. It’s very different from American fried chicken. The qualities is exceptionally high, the texture and deliciousness of the sauces make for a wonderful experience. They also had half liters of imported German beer it go well with the restaurant cuisine. Clean designs great music on the monitors make for us somewhat exciting evening generating positive good spirits. We will be having our Thanksgiving dinner there, changing things up from the traditional American cuisine. I’m ready for a bit of a change.
Korean restaurant with creative take on pizza, fried chicken, pasta and others. Ratings: The Mahsil pizza 9/10 Tons of flavor packed into this pizza. The golden crust is stuffed with sweet potato and the dough is nicely fried to form an amazing crust. It features a lot of toppings and they are fantastic. Sweet potato gratin 9/10 Perfectly cooked sweet potato covered by a layer of baked cheese. This is so sweet and savory it's crazy. The soft texture of the sweet potato with the slightly crispy crust of the baked cheese go together in harmony. This dish can be used for anything including a pizza topping, loaded fries topping, or as a dip. Kimchi fries 7/10 Standard order of fries topped with minced kimchi, spicy mayo. It's decent but nothing special. The flavors don't combine or form a new dish, the kimchi flavor and the fries don't blend.
Very fresh and tasty modern and traditional korean foods with large selection of menu in appetizers and main courses, as well nice selection of drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). Very welcoming and polite staff + enough seats and bar! Will visit soon again! You should try their golden crust pizza , Very crisp on the edges with cheese in the crust.
Tried this place for the first time with my brother for their special pizza and chicken wings and would definitely come back here again! I ordered the kimchi fries for appetizer which was mid but still very flavorful. Then I got their classic mahsil pizza which was surprisingly good from someone who doesn’t really like pizza. Lastly I also ordered their half and half chicken wings combo, sweet and spicy and spicy soy garlic. The spicy soy garlic was okay but the sweet and spicy was really good! Also our server was really nice great service! The design of the restaurant was really cute too!
We've been to this Korean restaurant quite a few times with friends. While we weren't keen on the buffalo chicken wings, the pizza was amazing and the service is 👍🏼. It might be very busy sometimes. We also really enjoy the nice views, and in the summer, they open the windows for a great breeze, and you can even dine outdoors.
Best brewery in Flushing 🥇🥇 Although they don’t actually brew beers here. They do have 12 beers on tap, 3 of my favorites. The hard to find Weihenstephan, Hoegaarden & Allagash White. 💪💪 Amazing ambiance with open windows and out door seating. Feels a bit European. 👍👍 A haven for cyclists looking for a break & beer to cool down in the summer. PROS 1) 12 beers on tap 2) happy hour 3) amazing outdoor seating 4) chicken smells fantastic 5) bike friendly 6) great vibes CONS 1) no coffee or a bike rack
For amazing Korean food Mahsil is the place to be. From crispy dumplings to cheesy pizza and a bubbling pot of Korean Army Stew, everything here is packed with bold, satisfying flavors. The atmosphere is lively with amazing music, a great vibe, and a cozy setup that makes it perfect for hanging out with friends. The Soy Garlic Fried Dumplings are a must-try perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and coated in a rich soy garlic glaze that’s both sweet and savory. The Spicy Soy Garlic Chicken Wings are another highlight crispy, sticky, and packed with just the right amount of heat. The flavors are bold, authentic, and exactly what you’d expect from top-tier Korean comfort food. One of the standout dishes is the Mashil Pizza, a deliciously loaded pizza topped with ham, pepperoni, pork, beef, onions, green peppers, mushrooms, black olives, and a mix of mozzarella and string cheese. The crust is stuffed with mozzarella and sweet potato, adding an unexpected but perfect balance of savory and sweet. It’s indulgent in the best way possible. For something comforting and hearty, the Budae Jjigae is a must. This bubbling hot pot is loaded with Spam, sausages, kimchi, tofu, vegetables, and ramen, all simmering in a flavorful beef bone broth. The melted cheese on top adds a rich, creamy finish, making it the ultimate cold-weather meal. They also have a long selection of beers and an impressive drink menu. I got a bottle of soju, which paired perfectly with the meal, especially with the spicy dishes. It’s the perfect place to eat, drink, and unwind. While the restaurant gets busy and is a bit short-staffed, the food and atmosphere make it absolutely worth the wait. The authenticity of the flavors, the amazing music, and the good vibes make Mahsil a must-visit spot in Flushing. If you’re looking for delicious, comforting Korean food with a fun and welcoming environment, this is the place to be!
Mahsil is the kind of place to bring friends, family, or a date to. The food they bring out is 100% shareable and enjoyed best with good company. After my latest visit, I will say I was blown away with the service, the cleanliness, the taste, and overall ambiance. We ordered a variety of dishes, and everything was cooked very well with an adequate portion. We ordered mainly the bar style foods, and small samplers, and would love to try the more traditional dishes next time. The only thing which I could suggest is maybe adding some hot beverages to the menu. The pricing is fair, we all left full and satisfied. I’d love to visit here again.
Got a friend who wants a Seoul experience? Need a chill-vibe restaurant to enjoy both quality and quantity with friends? Head down to Mahsil in Murray Hill. Need I explain more or should I just let the pictures do the talking? Mahsil has all of the popular menu items from K-Pizza places in Seoul. They have it because it makes sense. From crunchy goodness to creamy-dreamy, the dining drives your tastebuds to one leaned-back, satisfied soul. And this isn't at all possible without a top-notch staff, because it's definitely a Korean thing, "in when in and out when out." They're all sufficiently attentive. A highly recommended restaurant for your next visit to Murray Hill. Get your K-Spicy crave done here.
I had a great time here. Mahsil is a trendy and hip restaurant that serves Korean influenced type of food. Not everywhere you can find bulgogi pizza. They have a wide array of food from Korean fried chicken, to noodle soups, baked dry noodle/pasta, and pizza. They also have appetizers and serve alcoholic beverages. The entrees or portioned nicely. The wait staff are very friendly and attentive. There are several tables inside with some nostalgic music playing that’s not overly loud. There are also some TV screens for whatever is the event to watch. They also have tables outside of the restaurant that is not outside on the sidewalk or on the street. What’s great is that my dog was allowed to join me for dinner. Credit cards are accepted. I would come visit again.
I love this place! It’s more of a Korean-American centered restaurant and it’s quite affordable! I went with 2 friends and we ordered a medium gold crust pizza, a jumbo shrimp pasta, the Cajun fries, 3 sodas, and a half chicken of fried boneless chicken with cream sauce (all of which was very delicious) and our total after tip was around $105. The servers were so nice and everything came super quick.
Been here about 4 times for the past 2 years. Glad I found this gem. First off the staff are all wonderful, lovely people cheerful and helpful. The menu has variety, some traditional Korean dishes, some fusion and straight up pizza. When we go there, we usually order a bit of everything because everything is so good! The layout of the restaurants is pretty cool, but choices of booths or regular tables. There is seating outside, that would be great for outdoor dining. I plan to visit here at night and just enjoy the food and some midnight drinks with some friends. They have a great drink menu and you can do a sampler of beers that they let you choose 4 different beers to drink if you're not looking to drink a lot but have a bunch of choices. Parking would be pretty tough, since they do have street parking but it's usually packed due to the business of the area. If you drive a bit into the residential area you can find parking, It never stopped me from enjoying the area, just keep it in mind. The Long Island Rail Road Murray Station is right across the street, so if you plan to have a night out drinking but no designated driver or don't drive at all, that's a great option. Looking forward to returning!
At first I didn't expect much, the restaurant wasn't very packed and that changed quickly around the dinner rush. The service was excellent and the food was very good. I've ordered the cheese pizza with cheese crust, the Mahsil pizza and the Hawaiian pizza. The onion rings and the mozzarella cheese balls were really good as well. The place was well lit and I noticed that the lighting got dim around dinner time to add to the ambiance, which I thought was nice. It's great for a date spot or just as a place to hang out and grab a bite. All in all, I would definitely recommend.
Fun atmosphere. A lot of various types of drinking food. Good selection of Korean style pizza. What are their food is very creamy and heavy. There is a fridge where you can pick your own beer. Some are imported
Overall the food was great. We ordered the sampler platter that came with a mix of fried goods like onion rings, fries, gimmari, mando, and mozzarella sticks, the stir fried gizzard which was amazing but could've used a bit more gizzard, the mahsil pizza with cheese crust and the cheese wasnt overpowering at all, and the sweet and spicy fried chicken which was pretty spicy. Service on the other hand could've been better. When we were seated, there were left over drinks left on the edge of our table. We asked for water but only received 3 instead of 4. Had to ask for refill on water 2-3 times since they forgot. Food came out pretty quickly though. We were celebrating a birthday and gave them the cake. When we were finished our meal, they just gave us the check and cake. So we didnt eat the cake in the restaurant and ended up taking it home to eat it. We live pretty close to the restaurant but by the time we got home, the cake's frosting was melted, so I have no idea how they stored it. I probably wouldnt celebrate a birthday here again if I have cake with me.
Pretty standard Korean fried chicken and pizza. Good portion size- massive drumsticks. Good selection of beer and they give you mason glasses to share. Pleasant interior decor. Their outdoor dining area seems like a good option for chicken and beer during the summer.
The atmosphere was good though I wish they had more tables. Pizza options were many but if you cannot decide, try their meat quarter option. And I think their rose pasta tasted really good.
Ordered Army Stew, Mahsil pizza, chicken wings (spicy and not spicy), cheese fries. We all loved the Army Stew so much. The soup base was flavorful and the toppings were abundant. They used good quality spam and it was mostly meat and less vegetables. The wings were crunchy and sauce for it was more on a sweet side but not as spicy as we would like. The cheese fries had a mayo base dipping sauce and was alright nothing to write home about but definitely helpful to curb our hunger while we waiting for the main course. The cheese stuffed crusted pizza had olives which I hate but I couldn't taste them too much together all in one bite. The pizza wasn't crispy like I expected, seems like microwave pizza to me instead. Atmosphere was like a disco or a club. Music was loud and lights flashing everywhere. They opened all the doors and windows but the air conditioner was still on and we sat in the most inside of the place and it was relatively cool. You get the beer yourself and don't have to ask. They will charge you for it accordingly.
Korean-style pizza?!? You gotta try it here! As an avid pizza lover, when I first heard about this place, it was definitely an establishment I needed to come visit! I like the atmosphere in when I came inside, it is very welcoming and staff was very nice. I went to try a variety of food on the menu and started with the crispy cheese balls which were recommended. They are prepared in a way inspired by mochi, which this ended up being a chewy texture, which catches you off guard if you not familiar with this appetizer. However, the texture went well with the cheese flavor and it is definitely something I would get again with how different it is! I was also able to try the Jumbo Prawn Rose Pasta, which in a combination tomato/white sauce. I did like this pasta as the sauce was not too overwhelming. It is very saucy and the taste did complement the prawns well. The star of the show was definitely the pizza! I got the Golden Crust Sweet Potato Pizza where I had half corn and half gorgonzola. The texture is definitely unique to a pizza, as you may think it is crispier by looking at it, but it is more on the chewy side as well. The use of sweet potato gives a slight sweet flavor, but you still experience the savoriness of the pizza itself with the toppings. I did enjoy the gorgonzola sider more than the corn side, but maybe that is because I am a cheesy-type of guy :P I enjoyed my time here and would definitely want to return and try some of their over pizza and their fried chicken!
a cute lowkey korean restaurant a little far in from Main st with good k-music and friendly staff! We got the sampler platter and cheese crust meat quarter pizza, I personally don't like the pizza as much since the crust was a little too thick for my liking and the toppings were not too amazing, especially the sausage. But the sampler platter was delicious, we got to try to little bit of all the fried Korean snacks they have, I like their fried dumplings, seaweed rolls and fried shrimps the most! They have a self-serve drink fridge as well with a bunch of Korean drinks I haven't seen before, I tried the passion fruit Makku and it was this delicious sweet and fruity makgeolli, def recommend!
The pizza was good, so the difference between cheese and gold crust is gold crust have cheese and sweet potato. And I didnt think I would like sweet potato crust, but wow, I am a believer now. Oh and the chicken quesadilla were great! Juicy and flavorful. One star off sue to dirty utensils and glass. Otherwise the waiters we're very attentive.
TLDR: Korean style pizza spot. Definitely get a Korean pizza and that jumbo shrimp Rose pasta! I've unfortunately only ordered takeout/delivery but I've thoroughly enjoyed my meal every time. The Korean pizza is a bit different than the standard NY pie. A golden crust with sweet potato mixed in or a cheese crust with duh - cheese. I've done the Mahsil (house special) that has a mixture of everything but I think my favorite is the bulgogi. Something with the sweet/savory combination of beef and sweet potato just works. The jumbo prawn rose pasta I've gotten every time. It's perfectly al dente (especially for a place that doesn't specialize in pasta) with a rich creamy sauce and perfectly bouncy shrimp. I've been meaning to go in-person one of these nights, especially with a bigger group so you can try everything.
There was no wait for a party of 6 for dinner on Sunday. We ordered spam fries, french fries, a golden crust pizza, stir fried chicken gizzard, chicken wings, and rose pasta. Overall the food was solid. The spam fries sounded interesting, but it is exactly what you think spam would taste like if it were covered in fried batter. Nothing really stood out as particularly good or bad. The chicken wings were my favorite. It was a bit difficult to flag down a waiter to order and get the check. But overall a good experience and I would come back to try their other stuff.
Mahsil is such a great spot for affordable casual eats! I went with a small group for a chill dinner and it was exactly what we were looking for. The place is small but very cozy, the service was fast, and the food was solid. I really liked the onion rings and the cheese balls were kind of unexpected (they had this sweet, almost churro-like flavor). The takoyaki balls were pretty standard but the main highlight was the the cheese crust pizza! It was so cheesy with the perfect cheese pull on every bite. They also have a a cool variety of beers. Overall, it’s a solid go-to when you just want something easy, simple and lowkey.
Their Pizza is ok. Its korean style but gets tire of taste after 2 slices. The chickens were nono~ lacks flavors. Their rose pasta is actually pretty awesome. Full of flavor and a lot of sauce~ would be great to have some bread to eat with those sauce.
The food was delicious but the staff were not attentive at all. We waited for about 10 minutes to order and tried to get the staffs attention but they were not looking at us at all and my friend had to get up to go get someone to take our order. We then had to wait another 10 minutes to flag them down to pay. Overall, the service was not great but the food is delicious and I would go just for that.
Came here to have a late lunch on 7/20. I met my friends who were already seated for about 20-30 mins prior. When my girlfriend and I sat down, we weren't even greeted or given any menus. I had to get up and walk to the counter to grab 2 menus after 10 mins of sitting down. After ordering the food came out fast and was the same quality that I remember. The food has always been good here, but the service on any given day is "hit or miss". This particular day was definitely a miss. The staff was not attentive or friendly at all. They seemed more concerned about doing other things than checking up on us. We weren't asked how the food was, if we needed anything, or even asked if we wanted water. This visit was very disappointing and the only saving grace was the food. I do recommend coming for the food, as the menu is extensive and has a lot of choices. Just don't expect too much from the staff.
We ordered for dishes of pasta & three large pizzas. While the food, in overall, was not bad, the portion of pasta was a joke, considering the price. By the way, it is a K-pasta, as it is cooked in Korean style & based on my experience of eating pasta dishes in Korea, I understand that the portion is small but still, paying that amount of money for meal while feeling half-empty is not satisfying at all. I probably will go there again…as long as someone treats me there.
Food was amazing and would definitely recommend to eat there. But service was a disaster, with 3 servers and only 2 tables(including my table) during dinner time. Took around 30 minutes to just get a cup of water, seriously? Seeing 3 servers talking at the bar area and couldn't even get their attention. Should I just yell to get their attention? Or should I walk to the bar and get myself some water? No matter how good the food is, if service is bad then that ruins the whole dining experience.
I ordered fried chicken wings through Uber Eats. There is a staple inside one of the wings. It could have caused real injury if swallowed. Be cautious if you plan to order from here!
Revisited this place after a long while and was APPALLED by how AWFUL the service has become! When my mom and I requested to sit in one of the empty booths, they told us that the booths were reserved for parties of 3 or more, so they sat us next to the fridge w/ all the alcoholic drinks. We were freezing b/c there was cold air coming out of the cooler, and there was also chilly air blowing from outside b/c the windows were open (they told us they couldn't close the windows either). After we got our order, we noticed that there was one lady who was sitting at one of the tables in the booth area all by herself, and there were two other tables that were still empty. We asked if we could sit at one of those tables where it was noticeably warmer, and they still refused--this time they said we could only sit there if we ordered a lot (we had ordered a large pizza pie and a couple of drinks, but apparently that wasn't enough). Funny thing is, that girl sitting by herself didn't order much at all. Halfway through our meal, they seated a couple at one of the empty tables in the booth area, and the other empty table remained empty even after we'd finished our meal. I can't remember the last time I felt so discriminated against as a customer (or feeling so cold at a restaurant!). My mom was even more upset than I was (though thankfully she wasn't as cold b/c I lent her my jacket). Needless to say, we're never going back! The pizza is still decent, but it's a bit overpriced (the Domino's on Northern Blvd has equally tasty pizza for less than half the price), and it certainly doesn't make up for the lousy customer service. Oh, I should also mention they had loud music playing the whole time--it literally felt like we were at a club. It was so loud that my mom and I could barely hear each other talk, so we just ate without saying much.
Very disappointing experience. First, no one brought us water. After we finished eating, we waited over 20 minutes and no staff checked on us. No one came to clear our plates, no one stopped by to ask if we needed anything, and the staff were just standing around looking at their phones. We had to call multiple times before someone finally came over with the check. On top of that, not a single smile or basic courtesy from the servers. Overall, terrible service. I wouldn’t come back.
Ordered a pizza, pasta, and chicken wings for a table of three, and there was a bug (alive) in the pizza. We called the waitress and showed her; she just said sorry and took away the plate. When we were paying, the waitress just said, “The bug is alive, so it is probably from outside and not from the kitchen.” The way they treated such issue was so unprofessional and irresponsible. Being a customer, we didn’t get any respect from the restaurant.
