Dino's Fremont Reviews
Dinos is a dinner that reminds me of a classic diner. Every diner that I go to I have to order country fried steak. If they don't offer that then its not a real diner. You can tell a lot by a diner if they make it good. Portion size and how the gravy is. So of course I ordered the country fried steak and eggs with potatoes. I like a lot of county gravy and it had plenty. Meat was good too and not grainy as I had at others. Service was excellent!. Would of took a picture of all the food but forgot my phone. Will definitely be back and will post photos next time.
Great food, big portions and lot many options to choose from. This is an ideal place to consider for breakfast or brunch. Service is fast and the staff are quite friendly. Just keep in mind that you might have to wait for some time before being seated if you visit this place during rush hours. But again it’s kind off expected in a popular local restaurant serving quality food.
I'm more or less teetering on a 4.5, simply because the pricing is basically the same as Denny's. Today was my second visit and the food and people are great! This is an old school diner so you'll find it usually filled with people who claim to also have come here back in the 70s. The foods very simple and homey, and they make the cutest hot chocolate and iced latte drinks! Since this is a real diner, it's quite small so don't be surprised to find yourself waiting outside. Would recommend the pancakes they're delicious! Orange juice also tastes very fresh and the coffee hits the spot for me!
Literally the best breakfast/brunch spot I’ve been too and my family is big is brunch. The Nutella tastes just how you would expect it to. I ordered a bacon burger in which they use real bacon and not that microwaveable bacon others use. The fresh fruit was indeed fresh and delicious. My husband got the ribeye and it was perfectly made. Very pleased with their service. Will definitely come back.
I eat here maybe once a week, Sunday's can get. busy, but wait is not more than 15-20 minutes. Staff is Great, and food comes pretty quickly Good Breakfast and Lunch menu, pancakes and waffles are specials. Real neighbor type restaurant, Great place for families and it has counter seating, if you don't have time to wait for a table. ( first come first serve counter seating) Well worth a trip to see this place, smile and be treated like family.
Was going to give it 4.5 but couldn't. Obvious good local crowd visits. Home made biscuits are nice. Can see they support local youth baseball which is critical in being a good local business (or supporting any local youth sports). Service was fast and courteous. Food quality excellent.
Eat here!! This place is a local gem and everything is delicious. Generous portions, good prices. Breakfast 🥓🍳 is amazing with daily specials. And... mimosas 🍾🥂are huge and half of what you'd pay at a brunch place and... did I mention it's fresh 🍊🍊squeezed juice? They also make their soups 🍲fresh everyday. I wish they were still open for dinner but it's only open for breakfast and 🍴 lunch. Service is excellent!!
My daughter and I were looking for a family diner near her new home. She is new to the area and had not had a chance to venture out much. We wandered in and felt like we had entered a time-warp. Friendly, courteous staff, old-time diner feeling. The food was excellent, the selection large, the portions generous. Dessert was included with our meal - a wonderful bonus in today's pay-extra-for-everything-world. There were plenty of locals who were just out for the evening. After a few days of tourists everywhere in San Francisco, it was a wonderful, relaxing respite. My daughter said this will become one of her regular dinner spots!
Ok! I've been to a lot of different restaurant's for breakfast in my lifetime but I don't remember ever having to been to one before with such great tasting Orange Juice! It was off the hook!! And don't get me wrong, our breakfast was delicious but the OJ was the highlight of the meal! A+++++ I love this place for the fast turn around after you order. The food is fresh and super tasty. The prices are great and portion sizes are nice as well. It does get packed in the mornings but it is so worth the wait so just be patient folks.
Good breakfast. I had two eggs over easy with country potatoes, bacon and toast and everything was spot on. Even though they were super busy, they turned tables quickly and we didn't have much of a wait. My wife got the gravy and biscuits, the biscuits were great but I thought the gravy was a but bland. I would recommend Dino's.
This place is awesome. Big portions, great prices, they'll give you a biscuit and gravy instead of toast if you want. I appreciate how you can get French toast WITH bacon and eggs. Not this a la carte stuff. Friendly staff, good coffee, wish it was closer to my house so I could go all the time!
Tasty, diner style food! The (fast moving) line on Sunday morning was the hint that this is good - popularity is deserved. Friendly staff, quick and tasty. Great portion size, too. On my "breakfast out" list now. Might not be in a trendy location but a hidden gem!
Love this diner. It has been around since i was a kid and just love the diner feel. 1/2/24--Still open and happy it is. Glad this small business has changed its mind for now and is still open. We need to support these locations as they are starting to dwindle. Great food and hosts.
It feels and looks like a great old diner. The team is all super friendly and efficient. They've turned part of the parking lot into outdoor dining and I hope they keep it that way. For covid safety, you order at the front (instead of having your own menu) and then go find a seat. The tuna melt is perfectly toasted. The biscuits and gravy are exactly what fresh biscuits and gravy are supposed to be and hit the spot if you're a biscuits-and-gravy kind of person.
Best breakfast in town, bring your appetite I have never been able to finish yet.. My favorite is the Texas omelet. The service is the best I've ever seen in any restaurant so friendly. Omelet
Great food.Corn Beef Hash.Freshly made. Great customer service. Victor saw I was taking my Vitamins and quickly got me a drink of water. The portions were very large. I could feed two people from my plate. Definitely a great place for family eating. Will be back!
I love this place!!! Surprisingly I came here as a kid and remembered the atmosphere and everything. For the longest time I've been trying to find it and I did. Still looks the same. Now 26 me my husband and son go there almost 1 every 2 weeks I love there breakfast we always get the same thing and now almost everyone who works there knows us. It's such a family oriented place and very bright and happy people who love it there. Obviously the owner is doing a good job with their employees I never see them upset smiles all around and very playful with each other, got to love were u work and who you work with right? Anyways i Love the staff, It will be one of my hardest part of leaving Fremont when we eventually move. Told my husband that we should speak to the owner about opening a Dino's to where ever we move to.. Love you guys!!! Amanda okin and Niko
The food was great. Price was okay. Staff were nice and very eager to refill my coffee. Will definitely be back again for the breakfast burrito. Great value!
Whole bunch of good food they get creative on their menu definitely worth going to again when is a few restaurants I like 👍🏻
I got the breakfast special eggs bacon and pancakes with a warm cup of coffee. The pancakes were my favorite their soft and tasty! The customer service was really good! Loved coming here for breakfast, I’ll be back
I went to this restaurant one them when I felt like trying new things for lunch. It looks like family operated. I sat at the counter and quickly ordered chicken fried steak. It came with soup as well. The portion here is BIG. I'm a big guy and I still had trouble finishing everything on my plate. The food is very good. It feels very homey, and definitely my kind of comfort food. The server was quite nice too and very friendly. I'm definitely coming back.
I have been going here for years. The food is great! Many items on the menu to choose from. The service is great!! I highly recommend this place! You will not be disappointed!!
Its just an historic and amazing place. Such a big menu and from what i ordered the breakfast special was amazing. It was to much... Everyone is so friendly and they give me a French toast from the house also. This is a American Dinner as a Dinner needs to be. Excellent
We were in the area visiting and can across this diner for breakfast. We wanted to give it a try based on the google reviews. I’m glad I did. The service was very friendly. The food and portions were amazing for the price. My daughters were able to share their pancake because it was so huge. My husband and I were stuffed. I really enjoyed the diner experience. The food came out quick and hot. Thank you for a friendly diner experience.
No grease on these spoons! What a delight to visit a down-home old fashioned diner with INCREDIBLE food. You gotta try the home made salsa; it is HEAVENLY. Also: great home fries, great coffee, great omelettes, even the toast is out of this world! Very friendly waitstaff. Breakfast, lunch and brunch are excellent in Fremont at Dino’s!
Local family own business all the server are sweet and great food!
Amazing restaurant. Unique and really tasty food. Best breakfast in a long while.
Healthy portions! I can usually get 3 meals out of this one. The Triple Dare You burger comes with bacon. I choose sweet or country potatoes for my side. Bfast#1. Bacon & some of potatoes, add your eggs. Lunch#2. Half the burger, some potatoes, add veggies. Dinner#3. The other half of the burger, remaining potatoes, add veggies. I also went bunless.
Ate here for the first time today while waiting for work on my car accross the street and the food was really good w large portions! Old school authentic friendly family style diner atmosphere that felt like everyone knew eachother and was very welcoming. All the meals being brought out looked amazing! Got a basic french toast w eggs and sausage meal and it was great, I'll definitely be back!
Found this little gem by mistake but grateful we did. They serve diner-style food that is good. The place is small but the service is fast. Give them a try if you're in the neighborhood, you won't be disappointed.
I was very happy to hear Dino's will continue to be open and serving their classic American diner fare into the new year. We drive over from across the Bay just to have their breakfast. This is not the prettiest place nor is it the best food you can get. It's reasonably priced, it's consistently good, and it's delivered by a crew with a smile on their face. I'll continue to make the drive anytime I have a hankering for good hashbrown.
I have been a regular at Dino’s for the past 6 years and they never disappoint. The service, courtesy, food quality and ambiance is exceptional. It is always a go-to place for our saturdays/sundays brunch.
The down home family owned breakfast restaurant I never knew about. Big selection, fresh berries in the pancakes, all cooked up old school. Fantastic. Check it out.
First time visitor on Father's Day and we were sat quickly, food was delicious, and service was impeccable. We had our drinks within 3 minutes of being seated. The staff came circling with coffee refills multiple times and cleared all the excess plates quickly to give us more space. Best of all we got to hear about Dinos history from Jackie. This is a family business that cares for their customers. Can't believe it took us this long to visit Dino's and look forward to our next visit!
My first time there was today. We are somewhat new to the area so every weekend we have lived here, we have gone out to breakfast to learn of new restaurants. This was by far our favorite place we have tried. The portions were massive. I ordered their chicken fried steak. I had enough to fill up for breakfast and then bring home for another meal. Their latte is more a dessert take to the drink, but nonetheless, it was very good. The orange juice was fresh squeezed. There was about 10 groups in line in front of us, but they were still about to seat us in about 15 minutes. The food came out very quickly. Also, the cost of the meal was about $12, but like I said, it covered me for two meals. We will definitely be going back.
Amazing hole in the wall! Party of four ate there 8/17/24, two had breakfast food and two had lunch food. All was great - quality, portion size, service, menu options, etc.! Quality made in house foods!
Wow! So much food. Really family atmosphere and friendly patrons. I will be back again for more!
Dino’s Family Restaurant is a true gem! The customer service is always top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff that make you feel right at home. Their hash-browns are a must-try—soft on the inside, perfectly crunchy on the outside. My go-to is their breakfast burrito, paired with a black coffee for a simple yet delicious meal. The cozy atmosphere makes it a great spot to relax and enjoy, and with 47 years of history, it’s clear they’ve been doing something right! Highly recommend.
I love this place. I come to Fremont twice a year for work, and sometimes you just need a good, simple, well-made cheeseburger and an awesome side of fries. Dino's is the best. Don't fool around with the BK across the street or look any further. Great welcome, clearly family-run and quality, consistency and a warm greeting are their trademark. I look forward to my next one in about 6 months. <3
One of the few places I have been with great service, top to bottom. When we were walking in, there was someone sweeping outside that gave us a warm greeting. Hostess was also very friendly and professional when she seated us and took our drink orders. Our waiter was also friendly, professional, and curious and checked in periodically. To all the people working the front, thank you for being warm and friendly. An extra big thank you to those that maybe where not having the best day, but still got to work and made it a great experience for our visit on Father's Day. The food came out fast, like drive threw fast and they didn't compromise on the quality. To the people working in the kitchen making the food, thank you. The small milkshake looked like a large. All the portions for that matter were hefty, and it definitely felt like we got our money's worth. In a nutshell it's a clean, cozy/nostalgic family dinner with a team that operates like they work at a Michelin rated restaurant. Goes without saying we will be coming back. Thank you for everyone working today and making my Father's Day morning.
This place is amazing! This was my first time coming and I will more than likely be a regular. The service was phenomenal. I ordered to go and right off the bat my server was very kind and also very efficient she paid close attention to detail. I ordered the pork chops and eggs everything that I ordered was made perfect and I didn't have to ask for anything that's very rare. As I was waiting to pay for my food the server went to check up on everyone then rang me up cheerful with a very positive attitude. The crowd was diverse and the food was incredible. Highly recommend. 👍🏾👍🏾
I was not only impressed by the food, but also by the staff! Such positive staff that Communicates effectively and works efficiently. They help eachother get orders to tables ASAP. The food is fresh and arrives pretty quickly. I recommend trying the special because they did not let me down. Big fan of this diner.
Highly recommended. The food was great and the serving was enough to justify the prices. My wife and our 2 year old, also loved it. We will be coming back again.
Hometown restaurant with great food and service. The pancakes are light and fluffy as are their eggs and omelets. The service staff knows the names of most customers, and they are attentive to your needs. The price was really good based on the size of the meal. It was huge! It was real value, even if it did wreck my diet for the day.
Had a really good experience here with the bf on a Sunday for breakfast. I got the Denver omelette with swiss cheese, cowboy potatoes, and rye toast. The portions are massive, so I saved half for breakfast the next day and it was just as good. Swiss cheese was a great choice imo, it contrasts with the slight sweetness from the bell peppers. The cowboy potatoes, which is russett potatoes cooked on the griddle, were so good. It retained heat and was well seasoned/salted, I appreciated that the potatoes were sliced and not just loosely mashed. I really liked the rye toast, the bread was really chewy. Great comfort meal. The house coffee is bottomless and not bad either.
So this is my first time at this little gem…. You could tell it has been around for a while, which is exactly what I was looking for good old-fashioned breakfast with great service. I had the chicken fried steak meal which came with biscuits and gravy. (Very large portions so come hungry) Believe it or not it was the first biscuits and gravy that I’ve had west of Missouri that I actually liked. The only feedback I would give is that the toast was cold where it had been toasted and sat there for a few minutes before it was buttered so the butter was not even melted but all in all definitely great place to go great atmosphere, great prices and a great breakfast.
I have to start off with saying - the vibes here are phenomenal! We visited on a Saturday and got seated quickly. This place feels like a well oiled machine with how efficient servers take your order and bring your food out in record time. I wasn’t able to get the name of our server but he was kind and checked in on us often. The food is so good and comforting and they definitely don’t skimp out on the portions. 10/10 breakfast location!
There’s nothing more nostalgic than having brunch at a diner, where everyone treats you like family. If you love that old school friendly diner’s vibe, then Dino’s got you! 😯They have been in business for more than 45 years! Dino’s reminded me of my childhood, a place where my mom and dad would take us for Sunday Brunch. Everything we ordered was delicious!! The child in me loved the Strawberry Nutella Pancakes so much that I didn’t want to share. Their NY steak was cooked perfectly “medium rare”, and their “WE-DARE-YOU-TO-TRY BURGER” 🍔 was huge and juicy! I ordered a side of fresh fruits, and it was so good. Oh, don’t forget their milk shakes and lattes! We ordered their Strawberry Oreo Milkshake and Iced Caramel Latte, it was so yummy! If you're in Fremont and looking for a spot to enjoy brunch with reasonable prices, generous portions, and exceptional service, Dino’s should be at the top of your list.
This place was great and even more special it was featured in the movie “Fremont” filmed last year and now in theaters! I had the Dino’s Sweet Special “All berry Belgian Waffle with two eggs and two sausage links” with a delicious orange juice Mimosa. The friendly service and food was top notch. Definitely recommend!!
First time here for breakfast and it was a fantastic experience. Waitresses were always attentive. They never let the coffee cup or water run empty. Every thing tasted like it was freshly made. The zucchini fries I ordered was fantastic. Awesome restaurant, service, and food. Will definitely come again. Pros: Lots of free parking; great foods and menu choices; waiters and waitresses are super; always helpful. Cons: Entrance door was a little confusing, diner was a little drab and dark, and only opened for lunch until 3pm. Update: since finding this place, my son and I have come here multiple times and it's consistent with earlier review. :)
One of a handful neighborhood restaurants left in Fremont. The food is always good, fresh and plentiful. I have been going here off and on for the past 30 years. This restaurant has been around for much longer than that. They have both indoor and outdoor seating because of the pandemic.
This place is a little bit tucked away and you might miss it if you were just driving by. But inside is a funky little diner style restaurant. Breakfast is served all day. Good sized portions, you won't go away hungry. A decent variety of food as well. I went during a busy time and they lost my order, but as soon as I mentioned it they made sure that it got fixed very quickly. The staff is very nice and friendly. I think if you're looking for a casual place to relax and have a good meal, this is a nice option. If you're looking for a flashy, trendy place to impress your friends, this might not be it.
Good service and great food Kids loved the hot cocoa flavor and presentation... We all left super satisfied 🙌 and staff is very friendly Only thing I want happy with, there was no " cup of veggies" substitute for my plate ...so I had to order a bowl of soup separately...but it was delicious.... I guess it's hard to eat out anyways if you are watching your carbs....! Look forward to my next visit
The food was good, biscuits a little dry. Next time, I'll have them seat me, not under a TV with the game on or a posted menu. Feels like you're being watched, lol.
Our food was delicious. It was a huge portion! It was brought promptly by our very friendly server!
Good old fashioned family type breakfast place. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Big portions.
Overall, it was a good place for lunch/breakfast. The ordering process is weird, there is no menu at the counter, and you feel rushed. Wait staff are attentive, food portions are good, prices are average. Building is outdated and needs a full remodel. Please bring back outdoor seating.
Good service. Friendly. Good food and decent amount. $ is a bit below average as well.
Ordered a chicken fried steak breakfast. Eggs were cooked properly as sunny-side up. No leak on yolk or uncooked whites. Chicken steak was good. Gravy on top was well-made, didn't need any extra hot sauce or anything, outside of a bit of pepper. Toast was fine and buttered on one side. Place has a solid family feel. Patrons we're lively and friendly, staff was courteous and attentive. Nothing fancy here, but they put the comfort in comfort food.
Dino's staff is very friendly and the restaurant attracts a chatty group as well. The atmosphere is one of home, and so is the food. With its heavy comfort food and spectacular shakes, you'll be quite satisfied with the large servings you're given. While value can still be a bit of an issue in accordance with price, you'll never leave this homely place unsatisfied. An excellent choice for the Fremont area for breakfast.
Great service, good food and good portions.
Had the burger and fries. Thoroughly enjoyed the taste and texture of the fries. Burger was great too. Got to go and put on my ketchup separately. Looked like it came with some butter or mayo on it already. My fiancé got the burger with the macaroni salad. She wasn’t impressed with the side and didn’t finish it. I would love to come back and try breakfast next time. We ordered to go. Took about 10 minutes. Simple diner setup. Friendly staff.
SEP2025 The quality has gone down. My burger was burned. Fries were great. Good service. MAR2024 Great food still, tried ther burger, outstanding!!!! JAN2024 Outstanding and very reasonably priced!!! My fish and chips were perfect, fries perfectly extra crispy as I ordered. Large portion of perfectly cooked fish with great flavor. My wife's Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich was good, but here salad was excellent. I wanted to have a shake, but I was so full that I was very smart to not order the chocolate shake. Parking was easy with a very large parking lot. Great service and friendly. We are going back!!!
Just getting my car audio done at JCS a block down and found some good reviews. It did not disappoint! The French toast was awesome the potatoes and eggs great too. The salsa was delicious and just the right amount of spice. Also super happy they have fresh OJ! I'll be coming back next time I'm in Fremont!
Pretty busy, and pricey. This place could be described as "cosy". Not the cleanest place. Didn't bring all the food or drink out at the same time. The syrup is corn syrup not maple syrup. The French toast wasn't crispy and was a bit chewy. The pancakes taste like generic pancakes mix pancakes. Great wait staff. Some of the servings were large and some were small. Not really an in between. Bathroom was not very clean and one of the locks appeared to be broken. The entrance is in a weird place and it's a little difficult to notice from oncoming traffic so keep you eyes peeled. Over I would say it was okay but not the best place to go and not worth the wait or price.
We ordered two eggs with hash browns, French toast and bills scramble with toast. The hash browns were oily and soggy and the French toast bread was not fresh and flattened. The coffee surprisingly was really good and the orange juice was fresh. The place is cute, old diner style
It's decent food and genorious portions. Not a fan of the way they do their omletes (more of a scramble) and a bit over priced ($4 for blue berries on pancakes seems a little high). Mostly though I didn't let how we felt rushed, it wasn't busy, but the server came up to us 3 times in the first two minutes to see if we were ready to order and brought out the check within 1 1/2 min of getting our food. Not a terrible place, but there are far better in the area.
The woman this morning that is taking orders as you walk into the restaurant should not be the face of this family establishment. Everyone else was pleasant. Food was huge, Denver omelette was good fare, just the cook needs to downsize the onions. Some as big as a fork. Hashbrowns were large and only half browned. Toast was good. Service by others was excellent.
Came in at 12pm on Labor Day for a late breakfast. The lady who wrote our order down immediately rolled her eyes, my husband and I both noticed how rude she was… made us second guess eating there. Food came, not bad! The food made up for our odd greeting. We get the bill… an extra plate was added. $15. Good thing we noticed. This was such a weird experience for us. Give it a try if you’d like, but we won’t be back :(
Update: after coming back a few times, this place, within only a span of weeks, has gone down the shitter. I think patrons are noticing, too, because the place was almost empty in a Sunday morning; used to have to wait for hours for a table. The cheery, professional servers are nowhere to be seen. Now ask that area left are the ones who apparently never learned to smile, and moving at a snails pace might be giving them too much credit. The eggs have been overcooked every time and not flavored in the slightest, as if the cooks are allergic to salt. Adding cheese to an omelette to them is literally dropping over processed cold Velveeta on top of the burnt eggs on its way to the table. I also noticed that the butter that goes on everybody's bread, comes from a 5 lb chunk of solid butter that sits on the counter. Everyone shares the same knife, the butter is left uncovered in the warm air next to the heat lamps, and it's in the aisle where all the servers walk through. So it's likely just festering with all kinds of bacteria. One time here I remember getting actual mushrooms, but the last three times they've clearly been out of a can. If you're going to use canned produce, make sure you wash the crap out of it so it doesn't taste like the can still. Just a note for the cooks. The pavement in the parking lot desperately needs to get patched and upgraded, it's like walking through the lunar surface. For those of us who are disabled makes it very difficult. Not to mention the two doors getting into the restaurant slam like Thor's hammer if you let go of them, also making it very difficult for those who have difficulty with doors. I strongly recommend cutting down on your dinosaur portion sizes, and focus just on a better quality product. Think you'll be able to call yourself a decent restaurant again. Oh and one more time for the people in the back: lower the heat on your cooking surfaces and for the love of everything holy... learn how to season your food. Old review: Very straightforward, diner-style restaurant. Expect a solid meal with good portions, but don't look for anything new or exciting.
Haven't been year in over 10 years. So first time in a very long time. I didn't like the fact you hard to order at the counter in order to be seated. That's not far to a people who may have disabilities and need to be seated. They forgot my coffee and water and there lipstick on my coffee mug. The portions of the food was good but the service could of been better. Don't think I will be going back.
There are several signs as you walk in that tell you to look at the menu, make your selection, order, wait and be seated. I followed those directions. As I approached the register to order, the cashier raised her voice and told me to make my selection before approaching the register. I was following the directions and got yelled at. I left and went to All Star Burger, just two miles away, where the prices are cheaper and I am not treated so direspectlly. 🙃 I would not recommend this restaurant. If you are looking for a better experience go to All Star Burger, you can't beat their breakfasts or their service. No one has ever yelled at me at All Star Burger either!
HORRIBLE waited 1 hour I had a party of 5 so I understand that it might take longer they called my party 2 DIFFERENT TIMES only to say it WASNT ready they kept letting other ahead we finally couldn’t take it and left I have been here before and will never be returning
