Laredo is a city difficult to find hidden gems away from chains, norm drab and soulless cliche. Dig no further travelers, vagabonds or locals, alike. La Mina Cantina & Bar is the BEST downtown DIVE BAR in town to step away from the regulars. Only one block away from the historic La Posada Hotel and a stones throw, (maybe a 1 minute walk( from the international bridge, this joint is a culturally rich watering hole, loyal to those who built the region with music, art, familia y amor. Kike and his brother opened up a helluva bar to drill into if you’re in need of a drink, and release from the mundane too often to find. Journey often the beaten path for a change… you won’t be disappointed.

The service was absolutely outstanding. The gentleman serving me was extremely courteous. He was very accomadating to my friends who had recently arrived from Mexico. This is a very good business with very reasonable prices and very fast and responsive service. The beers were served in pints that were frosted with ice and the hotdogs were delicious and came very quickly. The restrooms were in impeccable condition. When I come back to Laredo, I will most certainly return to this establishment.

So glad to have found this little oasis of a bar in Laredo Tx. I needed to kill a little time and I lucked out with this little gold mine.. pun intended ;). Cold beer, relaxed vibe, indoor and outdoor seating. Don’t know if I’ll find my way back, but I’d recommend it if you’re in the area.

I love this bar, staff is really great, good beers and music too! If you’re from out of town and want a “Mexican Cantina” vibe without leaving Texas, this is the place.

If you're looking for a vibrant escape in the heart of downtown, look no further than La Cantina. This gem of a bar captures the essence of a traditional Mexican cantina while infusing it with a modern twist that makes it a must-visit destination for locals and visitors alike! Will definitely be back! Owner was amazing :)

La mina cantina bar is one of my favorite bars to visit. I go often to be able to determine that no matter what day or time it is, there will always be great service, delicous hotdogs, and tasty drinks. Nonetheless, this bar has catchy music and a wonderful atmosphere that is worth spending your time in. Highly recommend coming here for a great night out!

Haven’t been to Laredo in a minute and upon return wanted to grab a sip at a local joint to watch the game…look no further. The owner Kike is a great guy,…..this place has remarkable Rita’s & an atmosphere to match.

Excellent service!! Cold beer!! Wide variety!! Great atmosphere! Jukebox!! Nice ambiance!! It’s downtown….but doesn’t seem like your typical downtown bar. Highly recommend it! Visit this bar when you get a chance. Mature crowd. 5 stars all around!! They care about the patrons.

Visiting from S.A., love this spot, the music is awesome, drinks are fantastic, and service is top tier. For the lovers of 80s & 90s Tejano/Cumbias.

I came in without knowing anything about La Mina. Kike, the owner, is an amazing dude. Immediately made me feel welcome to Laredo and they made me a BOMB Tostada Siberia The vibe was very relaxed and it was a good crowd of people that were fun and welcoming, even to someone completely different than them. We played fun bar games and everyone cheered for me when I won. Great food, great crowd and vibes. We need more Kike’s in the world to bring out the best in us!

Kike. AMAZING GUY! I’m out here from out of town & decided to check the place out. Found out about it when I walked through downtown Laredo. I’ve never done karaoke before but the atmosphere & the vibe wants you to grab the mic & sing. For a small hole in the wall bar, you WILL have a GOOD TIME. I went alone & met some good people. Everything about this place is TOP NOTCH! I will be coming back FOR SURE while I’m still in town! If you haven’t checked out this place, this is your sign to do so! If I could give it 10 stars I WOULD!

Cool little Bar don’t go there on Fridays at 5 PM. Traffic is terrible but more importantly for the bar the drinks are very weak. You have to get a double every time if you intend to taste the alcohol.
