Chalet la Frontera Limonetto Reviews
Dopo una camminata in montagna niente meglio che una pausa per un aperitivo e poi rilassarsi su sdraio. Ottimo prezzo e aperitivo abbondante.
Location favolosa, ottimo cibo, personale cortese e disponibile. Valorizza dal punto di vista alberghiero una zona già stupenda dal punto di vista naturalistico. Consigliatissimo!
I really liked the atmosphere, the friendly and helpful staff, good choice of dishes including healthy options
Very nice, I've always had a good time when I've been there. The polenta is very good (I haven't tried a lot of things, to be honest; I've been there relatively few times). Very reasonable prices, I'll definitely be back!
Excellent for enjoying a meal or a burger in a quiet area of the Riserva Bianca. The service is fast and courteous, and the owner, Giulia, is very kind. They also organize snowmobile evenings.
Wow
Ski-in/ski-out restaurant in the Limonetto ski area. Authentic cuisine with a wide selection. Pleasant both inside when it's cold (wood-burning stove) and outside when the weather is nice. Dinner can be combined with a snowmobile ride up the slopes – a fun option.
The place is a bit out of the way (which isn't a bad thing), very quiet, and the food is good. There's a playground outside for kids to play in, so you can spend a few relaxing hours.
A pleasant evening with friends... the chalet, in the evening, can only be reached by snowmobile or snowcat. La Frontera is a historic bar/restaurant on the slopes in Limonetto, renovated a few years ago, and organizes "high-altitude" dinners. The staff is friendly and helpful. Dinner consisted of an aperitif, veal with tuna sauce, agnolotti del plain with roast beef sauce, roast beef with potatoes, tiramisu, coffee, wine, and a digestif. Everything, in my opinion, was excellent... at a more than fair price (€35 per person) considering the transportation to the chalet (included) and the location. The descent on foot along the snowy slope was also very pleasant, with flashlights (which we brought) or torches provided by the restaurant. Although, since it was a clear night, the sky was enough to illuminate the descent... beautiful!
Very good cheese polenta, too crowded between 12:30 and 1:30 pm, better to eat after 2:00 pm due to Covid, the refuge does not sell tobacco. Get supplies in Limone, starting on foot from the Limonetto ski lifts, keeping to the left bank (facing the mountain) of the river, steeper but much shorter.
Gorgeous location and very good meat, but due to a very rude waiter, the experience wasn't the best. A word of advice: maybe don't charge a cover charge for 10-month-old babies, and if they ask for a small portion for their baby, try to accommodate them, because after all, you're working for them.
The place is beautiful, the products served are good, but the availability of only plastic bottled water - it is not served by the glass or in a carafe - in a mountain place is intolerable for me.
Well, it could be better. But perhaps it's better than other "huts." It's definitely less crowded. Sandwiches are so-so, and so are the dishes. Perhaps the best drinks, wine and beer.
We ate some sandwiches after skiing, good and friendly staff, nice lounge with stove, shame that the room is big and it was quite cold at the tables
I had two three-flavor ice creams, small portions, and paid 8 euros... honestly, for a run-down bar easily accessible by car, even if it's on a dirt road, but still wide and passable, it seems really too much... plus, the place was dark and very old...
Not good. The cheese polenta tasted bland and the cheese flavor was questionable. It seemed more like a pre-made cheese spread. The place itself is nice.
Very expensive. A children's pasta dish with olive oil and parmesan costs €10. We won't be back. Not recommended.
A restaurant that quadruples its seating capacity on the 15th of August and can't manage its service: an hour and a half for an appetizer, and an hour later for a first course: different portions (some large, some small, some lukewarm, some cold...). The food wasn't bad, but sitting down at 1:00 PM and getting up at 3:45 PM to eat an appetizer, a first course, a second course, and a dessert is unacceptable. Unprofessional.
