Great brewery. Super nice people and Mr Brownie is awesome. Great selection of craft beers.

Fun selection of beers. Great staff. Busy but still some good room on a Saturday. The Baja 1000 was top notch. The vibe is nice and the neighborhood is easy. Dogs allowed.

Fun spot that’s been here a while. Good selection of takeaway cans and a neighborhood feel makes his a fun low key spot. Excellent that they do small sized pours and also flights. Solid rotation of beers all the time. Enjoyed the saison and esb.

My wife and I were on the end of a long trip through the US leaving via NYC. We’d done the sightseeing in NYC before, so I had a couple of breweries picked out to relax and chill. Rockaway popped up in my research as a must do. Really thankful for Ben’s hospitality and enthusiasm as he talked us through all the brews that were currently on tap. I pretty much went through the tap list minus a couple of dark beers (which I’m not normally a fan of anyway) and every drop was excellent, highlights were the Hawaiian Pizza IPA which (Ben said this was a customer favourite and I can see why) and the Koji Kid sour colab with Japanese brewer Choryo Brewery. Before we left, a customer came in with a best boy so we scored some puppy pats as the icing on the cake. Dog friendly breweries are always a winner.

Loved the atmosphere! Exactly what one would expect from a brewery located in Queens. The selection was diverse. I had the Hawaiian pizza and Variation IPA. They were both fruit forward. While the HP seemed to be the locals favorite I actually preferred the Variation (v4).

You’ve heard of bodega cats but have you heard of a BREWERY CAT?! This place has a great selection of beer and great bar trivia on Thursdays! Indoor & outdoor seating with occasional local food vendors

Cool and popular brewery in Long Island City, across the street from Culture Lab LIC, two blocks from Gantry Plaza State Park. Best place to come if you just miss the ferry, don't hesitate and go for a beer! Outdoor seating by the entrance and around the corner. Cozy indoor room, not too big though, it can get quite busy.

Came to see Brownie, stayed for the taste. Could use more snack options. Time your visit with their visiting food trucks to round out the experience.

It's nice to find a Brewery that's open in the early afternoon and fills crowlers & growlers. There may not be much as regards to seating or the restrooms this Brewery merits a visit especially if one is visiting Gantry State Park. While ESB (Extra Sour Bitter) is a reliable go-to choice, the Power Lunch (Porter) is another good option. Usually a when a beer exhibits a dark color like a stout it has a heavy body. Power Lunch drinks like a pale ale. Please note that growlers are only filled weekdays as it can get busy on weekends.

I live by their Rockaway Beach location but last night I went right to the source and was not disappointed. The beer was great as always and the atmosphere is great. The owners as well as the staff are always willing to talk and are very knowledgeable about the product. If you are in the area do not hesitate. Just go! Tell Marcus and Ethan hi for me.

Pretty good decent selection of beers. Pet friendly environment, with the option of outdoor seating.

Great selection of IPAs and a delicious ESB. The indoor space is not big, but it has a great vibe. Staff are wonderful.

I had the opportunity to visit this taproom a couple of weeks ago, and my evening there was a highlight of my trip to New York. My wife and I only intended to have "a couple" before moving on to another bar, but had such a great time we stayed until closing. I tried 4 different beers, all of which tasted excellent, notably the ESB. But what really made it special was how friendly the bar was, even though Brownie was being aloof and enigmatic 😀. Jessica was running the bar and looked after us superbly, making us feel totally welcome, and one of the regular patrons also went out of his way to get us joining in with the vinyl night - I hope Def Leppard was an acceptable choice! Thanks to Jessica and everyone at Rockaway.

This brewery is a bit divey and smaller compared to other breweries nearby. The bartender was very friendly and even gave us additional beer to try even after getting 3 shorts. I love how there’s a cat on the counter that just freely roams around and just chills in the box right by the heater. This brewery definitely feels like a neighborhood bar that people frequently visit for a beer to enjoy.

Really cool spot with a great brewery cat and amazing happy hour during the week. $10 beer and shot combo is the way to go with Jaywalker rye a local New York rye that's fantastic paired with your choice of beer. Outside seating is amazing and plentiful. It's not other half level beer but they do a good job, the pineapple pizza IPA was particularly good.

This cozy neighborhood brewery may have a small indoor space, but the outdoor seating makes it a great spot to relax when the weather is nice. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, creating a laid-back, local vibe. They offer a rotating selection of beers, plus rosé and non-alcoholic options for variety. The real star, though, is Brownie the cat, who adds charm and personality as he lounges near the bar. I come here often—it’s one of my favorite breweries in the area.

I'm so HAPPY I came across Rockaway Brewing Company. I was at Gantry State Park enjoying the sunset, taking some pictures, and taking in the beautiful views when I decided to walk back to the subway station. Fortunately I bumped into RBC on my way back and was exactly the vibe I needed. The seating area indoors is not too big and not too small, but just right. The place was very welcoming, crowd down to earth, and the bartender very friendly. I had two beers - Who Let the Frogs Out (IPA) and the American Pils. Both fantastic!! 🍺 🍺 And above all, there is a brewery CAT! His name is Brownie and he practically runs the place. 😺 I can't wait to come back here very soon!

All I ask is to understand they brew well. The flavors are on point everything is great and the service is great too. If you're on lighter flavors my place for you. There are heavy flavors too as for the porter. Didn't try the food...

Our favorite hangout spot in the neighborhood. There is a solid draft menu and a few bottle/can options also. There is usually a rotating food vendor cooking next store also, but you can bring in DoorDash/etc too. The bartenders are good and the cat (Brownie) is super friendly!

Some nice tasty beers here but the Oat IPA was incredible. Guy working at the bar was friendly. Metal music playing was not my taste though. And it really is kind of a hole in the wall tasting room.

Good brew, cozy atmosphere, indoor and outdoor seating available with variety of selections of brew, happy hours price on select brew, BYO Food no non sense brewery! Love their pet cat "Mr Brownie" chilling on counter with his own box ,most of the time. No food available but Argentinaian sausage sandwich and fries counter outside at Brewery garage door side!
