Cuerno de Toro Mérida Reviews
Nice spot for a weekday visit, bartender was friendly and easy to talk to with great suggestions for other spots close by. Artesanal beers with a quiet vibe. Prices a bit in the higher end but beer was cold and tasty. Minimal selection but seems common for the area.
Stopped in for a drink and stayed for four. Good beer selection for beer loves, but very small wine selection. Carajillo is delicious. We would recommend.
Hidden gem in Mérida, worth a visit if you are looking for solid artisenal beer. As a bonus, food is quite tasty and reasonably priced as well. We tried a flight, and the oatmeal stout was our favorite. Smooth with smoke, chocolate, and coffee notes. The gorganzola pizza was also a treat.
Came for dinner on Monday night. Their beer selection was okay but had not been re-stocked from the weekend but looks like they add more to the tap each Wednesday/Thursday. Had guacamole to start every good. We ate BBQ burger, Provolone burger and fish tacos. All were excellent and great portion size. Only feedback is we were not fans of the yuca fries that burgers came with but burgers so big that it did not make a difference to meal over all. Excellent service.
🌮 **Taco Tuesday Farewell to Mérida** 🍻 Saying adiós to my Mérida moments with a flavor fiesta at my beloved Cuerno de Toro Taproom!!🐂✨ Fish taco that flirts with the palate, 🐟 Shrimp taco, a sea-kissed delight, 🦐 Pork belly taco, rich and fatty, 🥓 All paired with a Joya - Cream Ale, oh so right! 🍺 Each bite, a memory etched, each sip, a smooth caress. Mérida, you’ve been a taste-filled journey, with every meal, nothing less than the best! 🌟 #TacoTuesday #MéridaEats #CuernoDeToro #FoodieFarewell
Do visit the horn of toro when you’re in Merida- they have an incredible selection of beers on tap - I liked their milkshake IPA, the strawberry flamingo, joya cream ale and the mamba. They also have incredible pizzas! We did their flights so we could savor every flavor!
Yesss! Another great craft beer and food spot in Mérida! A number of artisan burgers on offer. Yucca fries and lovely brioche buns. Great guacamole. And I can’t forget to mention, a very creative beer list - all of which were house made and brewed locally. Quick and friendly service in a well decorated space really rounded out the experience. Highly recommended for those seeking good local craft beers and a bite to eat.
Seeking an authentic, off path and legit tap house? Found it. Veggie, vegan, meat lovers can all partake in some great nibbles and excellent taps. Bring mosquito spray as it’s open air. Loved the amber ale and the out meal stout and the IPA, after that can’t offer reliable advice but my foggy memory says the run of excellent beers continued. I even remember a merch area…
We had a pleasant experience at this tap house, following a busy day on the Ruta Puuc. Staff were a little surly, but not in an unfriendly way, just kind of the vibe of the place. Interesting selection of beers, including a couple IPAs, a couple festive ales, a Belgian, a pale, a lager. We ordered a couple sets of (3) tacos, one fish and one shrimp. Both were quite tasty, but fish was the winner. My friend accidentally ordered a liter of the Krampus ale, and he wound up getting pretty toasty (lightweight!). I got a flight of 4 different beers, wonderful to try a variety. They had a TV near the bar where they were playing a soccer match. Rudimentary bathroom in the rear garden area. We would definitely come back here again.
We were really craving burgers and decided to try Cuerno de Toro Taproom, but unfortunately it didn’t meet our expectations. I ordered the Tormentor Burger and we started with the chips and guac—none of the food tasted very fresh. To make matters worse, I woke up the next morning with a very upset stomach. The only highlight of the visit was the mezcal drink, which was decent. Overall, not a great experience and I wouldn’t recommend this place.
We ordered our beers and food without issue. However one of the 2 dishes delivered was not what we ordered. We ordered a 2nd beer at the time our food was delivered, as the Porter was like syrup. We were never able to get anyone’s attention, despite waving at them, to request the order be fixed and eventually ate it. The additional beer never arrived. Again could not get anyone’s attention to ask for the check, so walked to the bar where the staff was chatting and laughing with each other.
