In the heart of New York's East Village, we've crafted a haven for beer enthusiasts and bourbon connoisseurs alike. At d.b.a., our smartly curated selection of craft beers, whiskeys, and more has drawn patrons to our cozy corner spot. We're humbled by the rave reviews that praise not only our impressive drink list but also our elevated bar bites – like our signature fried chicken tenders, served with a side of tangy slaw. Our intimate atmosphere, complete with plush banquettes and vintage decor, makes for an inviting night out among friends or a romantic evening with loved ones.

Pickback shots are great and staff is friendly! We recently left the bar and the bartender chased us down the block about someone forgetting their keys!

Best dog bar full of all the beers and drinks you could want. Popcorn was delicious. We were able to order food in as they don’t do food. Katie served great drinks and excellent conversation! We will return.

Have had an amazing time being a long time regular here. Love the bartenders especially that absolute cutie that has a day dedicated to her MK Mondays. I hope all come and see her that day she’ll brighten anybody’s mood. Beers are great, Mario kart and puppies as well every now and then. Can’t wait to come back more and more. Shout out MaryKate

Chance brought me to this place and I will forever be grateful that I found it! After two trips I’ve had unforgettable memories, met the loveliest people and never felt so at home so fast. The selection of beers can satisfy the loftiest of beer snobs. In addition to being a solid bar, they’re a resource to their community. It’s why I love the LES and reminds me why I love NYC. Lifetime patron!!

Great selection of beers! The bartender was super friendly and really knew their stuff — they even offered me a taste to see if I’d like the beer before ordering. The atmosphere is awesome, and I’ll definitely be back to try more of their beers!

A neighborhood institution since the 1990s, this no-frills adults-only bar attracts an array of local characters and young bar hoppers alike. Craft brews on tap - you won't find big brand beers here. Fun drinks specials, trivia, and a pro-dog atmosphere gives d.b.a. a unique vibe all its own.

Willie is an absolute gentlemen and one of the best natural bar tenders I’ve come across here in the States, Europe,Asia and Aus/NZ. Fantastic selection of beers/ales/scotch/irish/bourbon etc. Brilliant chilled and friendly atmosphere. My new local here in Manhattan. Thank you Willie for making the last day of our honeymoon a very happy and memorable one. I’ll be back!

It gets crowded, but the crowd is awesome. It's like a friendly little hidey-hole full of nerds, freaks, geeks, and all manner of amazing and intelligent folk. The staff are insanely cool and knowledgeable and really know how to run a great place.

Dog friendly bar!! Great selection of drinks. They closed the back patio at 10pm but still plenty of room on a Friday night

Legendary bar near the “nexus” of the universe ! So many awesome beer selections on draft and friendly bartenders to help you find your perfect pint! They have a great space with a back patio and are dog friendly. Been coming here for years and will continue to do so!

Chill spot for great beer and friendly drinks. Huge variety of all types on tap. Super nice bartender. Familiar feel, almost beer garden vibe. Oasis within Manhattan, old school. Dive bar edges. Comfy.

Great beer and staff. We popped in for a couple and stayed until the early hours having a good craic with some of the locals.

Dog friendly bar and you can bring your own food! Amazing place to hang out and play with dogs or watch the game. Lots of local beers on tap.

Met some friends here. Divey, but with a surprisingly good beer menu. They also have some non-beer options for the non-beer drinkers you bring with you. Apparently there is mario kart, but did not ask about how to play. Draft prices are great. Bottles/Cans perhaps a little high, but they have a business to run. Relatively spacious, but can get crowded. There are some couches in the back. Just make sure you don't need to do anything beyond a #1 in the bathroom, lol.

Guy with longish brown hair and tats has to be the rudest bartender i've come across in 5 years in nyc... Came here in the pouring rain to try and charge my phone to figure out where I was going, ordered a beer for the wait. When he brought it over I said I just needed a sec for my phone to turn on so that I could Apple Pay (Had forgotten they only take card/cash here). I apologized sincerely and said I couldn't take the beer because that was my only form of payment at the time (hadn't even touched the beer). To which he legit yelled "Thanks for stealing!!!" at a very high volume to the entire bar, having coworkers give me death glares on the way out. Honest mistake on my part, but super embarrassing and uncalled for. Used to come here quite bit with my dog and loved it, but unfortunately won't be back after tonight.

Beers are good but watch your bill. Bartender overcharged, and tried taking advantage of at least 2 other patrons and then me. I called him out on it and asked for an itemized bill, but he yelled and demanded more tip, yet I tipped $2.00 per drink for beers. You ain't a cocktail bartender bud, you just slinging beer bottles. $2.00 per beer ($12 tip) is more than you deserve. Stop ripping off patrons with your bills too. I won't be back.

Ive always enjoyed this bar as a casual hangout to chat with friends. And we’ve always enjoyed the staff. But recently the manager — or maybe it was the bar tender, kind of a big guy with mustache— got weirdly hostile over the most minor issue. My friend had complained that the bar back had taken his drink (had 1/4th left) while scooping up a couple other empties. Simple mistake, and my friend just went to fetch the drink back. Wasn’t hostile to the bar back at all. The mustachioed dude came out of nowhere in a full rage and told him he had to leave. It was an incredible 0 to 60 over-reaction. For my part, I had said literally nothing and wasn’t involved in any way — I was 30 feet away back at our corner table— and he threw us both out. We are two pretty mild mannered older 50s men, who sat quietly talking in the corner for a couple hours — not loiterers, we bought 2 or three rounds of beer — not making any commotion at all. I’ve never been kicked out of any establishment ever! Maybe just an off night, but not a cool way to treat a customer who politely brought up a small complaint.
