Big snow and ordered veggie pizza. Always had slice in restaurant. Pie was just made with fresh veggies and delicious. Highly recommend

Great pizzas for delivery or pickup. On the thicker side of NY style so opinions may differ (eg Gotham is much thinner and crispier), but it's my go to pizza place in the area.

I love this pizza place. They don't skimp out on ingredients. We've had BBQ chicken, buffalo chicken, and chicken caesar salad pizzas. All had a lot of toppings and tasty!

Pretty good pizza bite on the upper east side. Rounds and square slices available.

Buffalo chicken pizza has plenty of chicken- exactly what I expect. About $5 per slice here depending on the slice.

Pizza was hot and fresh. Great crispy, thin crust and delicious toppings. NYC pizza at its best. Pepperoni roll was delish!

Came here today after my mom recommended this place to me. I can’t believe I’ve never decided to stop by, before! I thought I had a favorite pizza shop, but after today, I know for a fact that it’s La Mia! Everything was so tasty and delicious, but the star of the show was the immaculate margherita pizza! It’s heaven in every single bite. Also, I went ahead and also tried the cannoli. Usually I am not a huge fan of this pastry because not everyone can get the crust just right but here at La Mia, I ate the entire thing and (shamefully) checked the box on the off chance that I would find crumbs. Whoever is running this location, never change a single thing! It is PERFECTION!

Loved this place! The guys that work here are super nice, I ordered wrong and was nervous but they quickly became my buddies. The best ranch here and the garlic knots are outstanding. Next time I will order my own pie instead of a slice because I like lots of sauce. The prices here are so great. We got four slices an order of knots and side of ranch for less than $15!

I went to La Mia and was very satisfied with my pizza and empanada. The staff was very helpful and nice. You can dine inside or our side. I liked how they have little checkered cloth tables outside. It was really pleasant to dine outside. I like the option of dining inside as well, there's plenty if seating which I like. They have all kinds of pizzas, calzones, empanadas, breads with meat and cheese stuffed inside. The location is good, they are located on 1st Avenue and 81st. I will Def return 😄

It’s was our last night in NY, and we realised that - shock! horror! - we haven’t managed to fit a single slice of pizza into our busy eating schedule. So we strolled down the 1st Ave, looking for the place we vaguely remembered walking pass earlier on in the day. And there it was, La Mia Pizza. This is not a candle-lit trattoria where the owner himself (it’s always a man, how come?) comes over to ask how you doin, or a fancy restaurant where your waiter looks ten times more glamorous than you could ever hope to pull off - La Casa Mia is a pie by slice type of a place where you get to point and they het to hand it over to you on a paper plate, to take home or eat at the no frills no nothin tables next to the counter. We ordered a slice each, pepperoni & mashroom respectively. They arrived thin-crusted, just as we like them (but there are also deep pan, more dough for your dollar, versions), with the bottom crisp and charred, and the rest of the base beautifully chewy and soft. The fillings were perfectly judged, with just enough pepperoni (or whatever) per square inch of base to satisfy instead of overwhelm, except perhaps for the ricotta kind, which was a bit of a proper cheese overload. But that’s just a matter of personal taste; besides, generosity’s meant to be one of the Heavenly Virtues, right? The staff - a bunch of super busy, handsome young men (yes, I’ll be taking that fee slice the next time I fly in) - are courteous, friendly and down to the point. Which is pizza, in its many incarnations.

While not my favorite on the Upper East Side, the pizza here is pretty good. I had a slice of the chicken pizza and an order of the garlic knots. They provided sauce with the garlic knots. The pizza was good, but the garlic knots were just okay. They didn’t have a lot of flavor. They accept cards here for purchases of $5 or more.

Great neighborhood spot! Prices are reasonable and the large pizza slices are delicious. My favorite is the vodka sauce one. You can only pay with card for $5+ charges so make sure to bring some cash with you (or get at least 2 slices)!

This place is a neighborhood gem + traditional pizza shop + suuuuuper New York. They aren’t eager to help you. They aren’t friendly or polite. It doesn’t matter how many times you’ve been there or if they recognize you, they will ignore you. The slices are on the large size. They warm it up enough so that even if something has been sitting out too long, it doesn’t taste that way. Plus they’re open later than other pizza shops in the hood. They aightttt.

Open with COVID precautions and seating is available outside. Wide range of pizzas, slices are big. Service was helpful and with a smile. Prices are very reasonable. There are two icecream shops within 1 block away so you just have to go for the irresistible combination of pizza and icecream. Parking may be a challenge here.

While La Mia mostly caters to those getting takeout pizza, they do serve other Italian dishes. The mushroom linguine was decent but at $17.50 (plus tax), it is priced as in a full-service restaurant, which it is not. In terms of value, I think it’s best to stick to the pizza.

Went with a friend and tried one of everything! A traditional nyc pizzaria slice - thin and crispy. The margherita is apprently the most popular slice and i would agree it was the best of the bunch. The sicilian was bready but larger than most other sicilian slices ive seen recently. The regular slice was fine. As for seating - there was plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. This location would be fine for groups during any time of day. Seemed like a moderately high foot traffic location but there was enough space to accommodate. As an UES resident i still prefer mimis, which is in the area.

What ridiculous pricing. Literally was charged over $7 for a slice with toppings. Super expensive and honestly shit pizza. Luckily for them all the schools give then business.

Usually everything is very good, but on Sunday 12-28-25 (early evening) I ordered a side of meatballs to go. What I recieved was 6 small previously frozen meatballs from wherever that had zero taste. You should tell your customers when they are store-bought frozen, and not made in-house. Just my two cents.

La Mia Pizza This place is an insult to New York pizza. La Mia serves the kind of sad, floppy, days-old slices that only transplants who think Domino’s and Papa John’s count as “good pizza” would actually enjoy. If that’s your baseline, honestly, this place is perfect for you. You’ll be happy. You won’t know what you’re missing. I stopped in around midnight, hungry and expecting at least a properly reheated slice. Instead, the guy behind the counter barely bothered to warm the pizza. I’m not exaggerating, it was like the slice was gently introduced to the oven, not actually heated. Lukewarm cheese, limp crust, zero crisp, zero care. The slices clearly sit around all day. When they “reheat” them, there’s no attempt to revive the pizza. No crunch, no structure, no balance. Just soggy bread, bland sauce, and cheap-tasting cheese. It’s pizza that’s been forgotten, then pushed on you anyway. The crust has that depressing cardboard-meets-rubber texture, the sauce is flat, and the whole thing feels mass-produced and indifferent. There’s no pride here, no respect for what pizza is supposed to be in this city. What makes it worse is that this is happening in NYC, where even average pizza is usually better than this. There are bodegas and corner delis within walking distance doing a better slice. If you grew up here or care at all about New York pizza culture, skip this place entirely. If you’re a transplant who misses chain pizza, congratulations, you’ve found your spot. Everyone else should go literally anywhere else.

Have never had a positive experience at this place, pizza is not great, staff is not friendly. Most recently went in for an order of pasta and that was it, sat there for 30 minutes and nothing, asked the guy twice after that where it was and he kept saying it was coming until I stood there and waited and he said “it can be ready in 10 minutes.” Wouldn’t come back here if you paid me

I never order food by phone, but I wanted something specific that wasn’t available online, so I placed a call. The staff was friendly and the pizza itself was good. During the order, I even joked to my partner about how ordering this way is how people end up with credit card fraud. A few days later, I noticed an attempted charge of nearly $8,000 on my card. I’ve never had an issue with fraud or hacking on my card prior to this. It could be a coincidence, but the timing made me uncomfortable. Just something for others to be aware of—food was fine, but I personally won’t be ordering again.

The most horrible pizza I ever had, like literally, it look like they threw the flower with chunks of ham and pineapple for 5 min in the oven cuz it was hardly cooked. Don’t waste your time .

$19.50 for four slices is absolutely a rip-off for any place in NYC. Should just get a pie at a real pizza place instead. I like the staff and the pizza is fine at best, but very overpriced. Won’t be back.
