Shake Shack New York Reviews
Really enjoyed the burgers! The strawberry lemonade was too sweet for my taste but other than that, the flavor was spot on. It’s a great stop before or after the Natural History museum for hungry adults or kids.
Was there on a semi-holiday (Yom Kippur) for lunch and it was very busy - lot of families with school-aged kids - so our order for 5 was ready in twice as much time as estimated (I ordered online). Almost didn't realize the online orders are not picked up from the front counter where dining-in order come out. But I talked to a staff member and they were helpful. Good service and hard-working attitude by staff team here. Seating is decent - two levels of seating. And didn't wait long to use bathroom. But it can be crowded!
We walk by Shake Shack a lot. The first time we entered there, Sarah greeted us kindly. We felt very welcomed and all the staff were friendly. Sarah worked diligently to guide us place an order and bring us our order. The burgers and drinks were delicious. I appreciated the fresh vegetables on the burgers so my picky little eaters will eat veggies together with the tasty cheese and hamburger patties. The tables were clean. Definitely coming back for more.
If you’re a vegetarian, the veggie burger is pretty good for less than $10. The fried onions made it so tasty. My family ordered their own burgers and crinkle cut fries. The server here was so sweet. She brought our food to the table and genuinely said, Welcome to Shake Shack. Another server came around checking on every table and even brought a baby seat to a family who just arrived. I really appreciated the kindness, it goes a long way to make someone’s day.
This place is a fantastic burger 🍔 joint! Just like all of their spots in NYC 🗽, Shake Shack on the UWS serves a wonderful selection of delicious 🤤 burgers, sandwiches 🥪, fries 🍟, and more! Their crown 👑 jewel 💎 is definitely the shakes ! 🥤 Get the Vanilla Shake - it's absolutely amazing! 🤩 Service is super quick. ⏲️ I wish I came here more often!
This is a great Shake Shack. As soon as we entered the manager Natasha greeted us at the door and lead us to the kiosk to order our food. The restaurant is clean and the food was delicious. It was my birthday and Natasha made me feel very special. I will definitely be returning here, and I love this area.
We all know what it is, Shake Shack is consistently good but this is about shouting out the staff. Last Saturday (8/12) around 2pm there was a logjam of people in the lobby, elbow to elbow. It was impossible to create an orderly line but the staff did a good job sorting us all out. Naturally, in a high pressure environment like that there will be conflict and a little ruckus broke out in the kitchen..which was quickly put down by who I’m assuming was the manager. She firmly set everyone straight without freaking out and the machine kept rolling. Good work 👍🏼
This Shake Shack is located right next to the American Natural History Museum, that’s why we decided to stop here to grab a quick lunch before heading in. The staff immediately welcomed us with a smile and directed us to the kiosks to order. We just had a couple burgers and fries. Everything was good, not sophisticated or anything, simple but good! The fries were swimming in cheese which for us was a bit too much but that’s absolutely personal taste. We paid roughly 20$ for a satisfying and filling lunch, great stop!
Great burger spot after a walk through Central Park. Even though it can be a little crowdy during peak hours, its worth the wait. The burgers were tasty and fresh and seating is available both on the ground floor and the basement. The staff are friendly, helpful and you get free refills once you dine in. The restrooms are located downstairs and its clean.
Good spot for a quick bite. The burgers are tasty and consistent with other Shake Shack locations, and the shakes never disappoint. Service can be a bit slow during peak hours, and seating inside is limited. Staff are generally friendly, however when I asked for a drink without ice, the woman at the counter reacted rudely, which made the service feel less friendly.
It’d been a while since I’d last had Shake Shack, but I had a craving and ordered a Shack Burger and Fries for pick-up. With its proximity to the American Museum of Natural History and Central Park, this location can get quite busy, but I went for a very late lunch or very early dinner, so the lines weren’t too long. My pick-up experience was very positive, thanks to the friendly, helpful staff. When I arrived, I couldn’t locate the pick-up counter, so I asked one of the staff. They told me and very kindly guided me to where it was, at the back of the restaurant. The staff with the pick-up orders was also very friendly. Although it was a very short time, by the time I got home, the food wasn’t hot. I’d arrived before my pick-up time, but my order was already there, so maybe it’d been sitting there for a bit. Both my Shack Burger and Fries were still good, though. Their burgers aren’t as greasy as some other places and the fries are crinkle cut fries. I love ketchup and realized after I got home that I should’ve gotten extra, because I use it for both my burger and fries, and it only came with 2 packets. Note for next time. It was a good experience overall, though. Great service really makes all the difference.
I ordered a brownie batter hot cocoa shake and French fries today. The shake was decent. I did get a few small pieces of broken down brownie crumbs. The fries were pretty nice actually. It was crispy even when it’s cold. Delicious! The staff were nice and friendly. The layout of the restaurant was kind of strange. Takeout was tucked in all the way to the back that I had to walk past all the people who were dining there. I just think I would like people constantly walking passing by when I’m enjoying my food. This Shake Shack has wine. Maybe I’ll come back and try it next time.
insanely crowded. staff training & management can be better; although large crowds and outdoor noise levels make it difficult to maintain a calm atmosphere. hygiene is not the best either & rather below average compared to other shake shack locations. however, food is still great and they do complete your order in a timely matter. would say that there was not a single staff member in sight at the register to accept cash.
The burgers are good but is not the end of the world. The shakes are good and creamy, my favorite was the tiramisu. They have restrooms downstairs. Is VERY crowded, I recommend you order online and pick up. The service is good though. Burgers does not include fries, you gotta pay them separately.
