I had the very delicious Turkey Chipotle Sandwich. It was wonderful (lightly toasted, loaded with enhancing goodies) and perfectly messy! The genuine atmosphere of its original neighborhood building brought back nostalgic childhood memories. My family often tent camped at a tiny campground that was just a short walk down Pier Avenue. Yes, Pier Deli was a delight in many ways. We WILL be back!

We took a girls trip to Pismo for a couple days for my daughter’s birthday. We stood right across from the Pier St Deli right near the beach. It was closed on Monday and Tuesday but fortunately it was open on Wednesday and we ate there before we left for home. I had the shrimp tacos with mango salsa , they were delicious. In fact everything we ordered was great, breakfast burritos, shrimp tacos and a torta. Everything on the menu sounds great. We will definitely go back whenever we’re in the area to try everything else on the menu. Also the guy that took our order was very nice. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a great meal at a good price.

First off, before we even start. Generous portion sizes. They give you your money's worth over there. My first thought upon entering was, "This is a tourist town restaurant. It's going to be like every other restaurant in Pismo Beach." I was totally wrong. Great food, relaxed atmosphere, big portions, and exemplary customer service. Would highly recommended to anyone visiting or interested in a relaxed dining experience.

This place was very good. I expected either the burgers to be small or expensive but burger and fries was about 15 and burger was good size. After I finished the patty and all that was left was the bun and everything else I still wanted to finish it. ABC burger very solid. I also only waited maybe 5 minutes for it.

We ordered the Chipotle turkey sandwich, it was delicious. It was so big and stuffed with veggies that the hubby and I split it. The service was also very friendly and nice. We will definitely be back for more sandwiches and their old west cinnamon rolls.

What can I say, can't beat a good meal at a smallish diner, then walk about a hundred yards to the beach afterwards. The curly fry asada burrito was excellent! I'll return for that! My friend enjoyed her salad enough to take home what she couldn't finish. They offer a variety of choices...from hamburgers, sandwiches, to burritos and menudo. I'll be back.

I had a great bacon cheeseburger here, and my wife had an excellent Turkey Chipotle avocado sandwich. Friendly staff who went out of their way to make sure our dog had water in their dog friendly seating area! We wanted a quick bite after spending the morning on the dunes, highly recommend this place to anyone considering the same.

I got the Pismo Pastrami. The pastrami is grilled. Sourdough bread with cheese, avocado and even cream cheese. The onion rings were really good too. They just need to fix the carbonation valve on their fountain machine. I won’t knock a star, cause stuff like that breaks everywhere. But if I make the drive back anytime in the future, I’ll drop my rating. But hands down best pastrami sandwich I have ever eaten. My arteries can attest to that.

Owner is super friendly and welcoming, and honestly the food is just the best. Got the Hot Turkey Chipotle with fries, and that was probably the best deli food I've had in a minute. I ended up tipping 40% just because of how nice the Owner was. It's her mainly working everything, with her husband helping her out. Would 100% come back, and with the spot being right next to the Dunes, it's a perfect place. 10/10!

Best sandwiches and fries we have ever had in 50 years of beach trips to the cental Cali coast, and the prices are very low. Sandwiches come w potato chips but it's only $2 to upgrade from chips to french fries. French fries were delicious. Portions are VERY large. The sandwiches are loaded with fresh toppings, no chintzing on toppings like tomatoes, avacado, pickles, lettuce, etc and the turkey on our sandwiches was excellent! Food is fresh and delicious. Only ten min or less wait time and the service is friendly. Can't say enough good things about this deli! We have gone back twice. 10 out of 10 stars for quality of food, for service, portion size and for affordability. Ty Peir Street Deli!

I went into this little shop in hopes of getting some fried flour tortilla chips, although they had never heard if this Ms.Fabi, was very open to my request. She made a large batch to perfection, I also purchased pico and salsa, which was great! I had leftovers for breakfast the next day. Thank you again Fabi. I've lived on the central coast for ten years now and these are the best tacos I've had. We got the chicken, asada, and pastor tacos. They came with a spicy tomatillo salsa and were all absolutely delicious. We also tried the quesa birria, which is only available on the weekends- incredible. They also have house-made horchata and jamaica. I'm going to be dreaming about this meal for a long time.

I visited this deli for the first time on 11/12/2025. I ordered the Italian Sub Sandwich and it was the BEST Italian Sub I have ever tasted! Not to mention the price was excellent. I was able to make two meals out of one price. The meat was excellent as well as the tasty cheese. The service I received was warm and friendly and the atmosphere was inviting. The next morning I went for a walk and stopped in to say hello and to rave about how good the sandwich was and I couldn’t help but order a breakfast bagel with all the ingredients. Now, I’m a bread woman so I know good breads when I taste them and if I may say, the bagel was toasted, yet still soft and tasty to the pallet. Omg the shrimps were so plump and juicy! The chipotle sauce they had on the fries and tacos were the perfect balance of spicy and creamy. Every bite made me yearn for the next until finally, nothing left. It was the perfect ending to a succesfull clamming session. This is my new go to spot and I am so glad they're literally walking distance down to the beach. The sandwiches are good but the Surf and Turf Burrito, Shrimp Tacos and Surf and Turf Fries are to die for! I recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a flavorbomb! Don't forget the salsa!

My friend and I stopped in while visiting the beach. We liked it so much that we ate there the next day. Fabulous food served with a smile by a gracious staff. We walked in just a few minutes before closing half expecting to be turned away, but they welcomed us with open arms and made it clear they were more than happy to take care of us, even though it resulted in their staying open 20 minutes later than normal. A pretty good little sandwich shop. Enjoyed their classic pastrami with fries. It was all very flavorful, with a good proportion of condiments on a nice bun. The pastrami, this day, was a bit too chewy--not in a good way for pastrami. It may have been just an oddity in that one slab of meat, and is honestly the only ding against the visit. The fries are from daily-cut potatoes and you can taste it. Would definitely give it a second chance for redemption of that star.

We ordered 2 sandwiches from here a couple of days ago. My wife had the roast beef with avocado cold and I ordered the hot pastrami with just the pickles and mustard. Both were very good. I got the veggie sandwich. The vegetables were fresh and good portions. It just needed something to add a little zip either pickle the cabbage and or onions. The sandwich came with chips. Sounds like their other sandwiches are very popular.

First off I always feel Horrible leaving a bad review. The sandwiches were not made with love at all. There was very little meat In the sandwiches. The sandwiches cost around $14 on average For a regular size. I really don’t mind spending $15-$20 in a sandwich if all the ingredients are fresh and the bread is made in house . Call the rolls were nothing special at all , Kind of stale. Don’t know if it’s new ownership but the pictures in the past look decent . We were all not impressed at all.

Went yesterday and the experience was great. The turkey sandwich was amazing and the portion enough for two people. The michelada was perfect with the rim elaborate & dressed with chamoy and tajin. I have no clue how the service could be so drastically different day to day. I went back today and had a completely different experience. I ordered the same michelada but this time with a chicken taco salad. I made it to out spot on the beach and unwrapped my food and it was the most pathetic looking cobb salad. Flavorless, extremely small portion size and not at all what I ordered. The michelada was average but was nothing special as it had been the previous day nor was it dressed with chamoy and tajin. I’m truly bewildered as to how I got completely opposite experiences at the same restaurant literally one day apart. Aside from myself, there was only one couple and one online order they were prepping so they don’t even have being busy as an excuse. I did overhear the staff arguing about orders and could tell they were irritated with each other but brushed it off. I can’t even take the food back and ask for a refund because all of our beach equipment and tent is set up. I hate that i was expecting great food again because now I’m even more dissatisfied and disappointed. The cobb salad is going in the trash.

If your business states you open at 8 but it’s almost 9, you should changed your times to reflect your new hours.

Absolutely horrible. Went there the other day as a family & my bacon was completely undercooked tasted horrible in general I took 3 bites trying to give it a chance but I couldn't do it it was that bad I'm sorry but it was. My brother in law told me his fish tacos tasted undercooked as well. My sister didn't like the pastrami fries either. Maybe the cook was just distracted I noticed the cook was going in & out with a beer in his hand 🙄 So maybe just a bit distracted on having a good time so he just rushed "cooking" the food. I don't know. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Don't get me wrong the people who worked there, the girls especially seemed VERY, VERY, kind but the food was horrible. We definitely won't be going back here again. Extremely disappointed........ Hate to leave a review like this but I was so upset with the outcome. I personally have NEVER been disappointed in a restaurant or a "food place" in general at Pismo/Ocean, until now.😔

My wife is 9 months pregnant and my daughters are 4 and 8 it’s pouring rain outside and they wouldn’t let them use the restroom unless they purchased something

I came to eat here because the reviews were rated pretty good and I hadn’t eaten here yet. I definitely will not be going back. I order the chicken salad and the chicken looked like there was no seasoning at all on it, the chicken was also cold and pale. I got mozzarella cheese sticks with it and they tasted like the cheapest thing you could find at the store. Any fast food place that sells them would have tasted better and not having to pay 9$ for them. My boyfriend ordered the pastrami sandwich and did not like it at all. He said there was too many different ingredients in it. Overall we would not go back.

Unacceptable Policy and Unkind Service – Would Not Recommend I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was deeply disappointing and deserves to be shared. During a recent visit, we asked to use the restroom in what was clearly an emergency situation—public facilities nearby were occupied, and as a physician I can empathize how timely access is sometimes medically necessary. Despite having already purchased a bottle of water, the staff refused restroom access, stating that “one bottle doesn’t cover the cost of the restroom.” We were forced to buy a second bottle just to use the facilities. The young woman at the front desk was not only rigid about this policy but also noticeably rude and lacking in compassion. There was no attempt to understand or accommodate the urgency of the situation. What’s most frustrating is that I would’ve gladly supported the business further—perhaps even bought food on our way back. But the blatant insensitivity and transactional coldness left a lasting impression. No customer should be made to feel uncomfortable or humiliated over basic human needs. I will not be returning, and I strongly discourage others from supporting a business that prioritizes profit over decency.
