At Poke District, we're passionate about serving up fresh, flavorful dishes that bring people together. Located in Orange, CA, our restaurant is a haven for foodies and locals alike, offering an authentic dining experience that's hard to find elsewhere. We take pride in using only the freshest ingredients, like our signature 15-piece poke bowl, where every bite is packed with the perfect balance of fish, rice, and veggies. Our friendly team will treat you like family, ensuring your visit is nothing short of delightful.
Poke District in Orange receives high praise for its fresh ingredients, clean environment, and generous portions of fish. A standout feature is the proportional fish-to-rice ratio. However, one reviewer experienced a significant delay and rushed service.
Tip: Consider ordering for takeout, as the restaurant is less crowded for dining in.
Hawaiian and minimalistic blend interior, located in a business center. A good amount of seating for those dine in options. The staff is nice and fast with their services. I ordered the half and half Godzilla with wasabi sauce and double crab meat and avocado, it tasted pretty good, definitely made with Aloha.
Fresh and satisfying! I love the portions, we got half and half with cucumber salad bowl. The wasabilicious sauce was good but strong so make sure you really like wasabi if you order. $15 for each bowl, not bad. The service was welcoming. Coming back!
The employee was very helpful. It was my first time visiting. I did the 15….(forgot the cents) build your bowl. It’s straight forward and to the point. This is the first place I go where there is a proportionate amount of fish to rice ratio. It’s not just three small cubes salmon. They make it, ask you if it looks good (and it does the presentation is beautiful) then you can take it. The seaweed salad was tasty and so was the crab salad. Great amount of sides and I got the hot lava sauce. It was actually spicy! Thank goodness. Anyways I would come here more often if I was not just driving by. It’s an absolute must have if you like poke. Also the place was clean and had some fun music playing faintly.
Is a very clean place, few options but to be honest is less waste of food. Bathroom impecable tables squeaky clean. Fresh flavor on every ingredient. There do not have people dinning eat because since COVID most people ask for pick up. Love it and will come back
I arrived to this place not expecting allot. Instead I was pleasantly surprised by amazing service and amazing food! Presentation was on point! I didnt think i could be impressed by the presentation of a poke bowl but that was next level. I was used to having fish on top of my rice and everything mixed in together. The way that this bowl was prepared made for a very nice surprise. I actually can't see myself having poke any other way again. Staff was really friendly and helpful. I will be returning frequently.
I had the Build Your Own Bowl with salmon and it was fresh and delicious. I love that the brown rice wasn't overcooked. I can't wait to go back to Poke District and get another byob with tuna.😋
Excellent poke bowl- fresh and delicious! And fast/kind customer service 😄 5 stars! I had the salmon bowl with avocado aioli.
A little on the expensive side but worth it! Not like other poke places with many different toppings that distract you from the fish, it's simple yet delicious.
Nice welcome when entering with walk up service. Fresh fish with large portion I couldn't finish. Quick service and clean inside.
Amazing food! And very kind staff! I dropped some of my food and they were so kind as to replace my food without charge. Highly recommend this restaurant for their quality food and management!
I don't think there's a better poke bowl in all of North Orange county. The key with the District is they separate the hot rice and the cold fish, and every one of their flavors are second to none.
Great place for a poke bowl. Food is fresh and customer service is very pleasant.
Quality: 5/5 Quantity: 5/5 Service & cheer: 5/5 Hawaiian style poke- not a lot of toppings, a lot of fish.
My favourite poke place! The closest to authentic Hawaiian poke I have found in OC.
Best poke spot! Best customer service! Go here if you like poke and the friendliest staff!
Super friendly staff, they’re also great at accommodating celiacs and preventing cross contamination.
Best poke in town, always fresh. Wasabi aioli is the way to go.
If you like poke, this is the best place, according to the 2 poke eaters in my family!
Delicious poke! The seaweed salad is the best I've ever had!
Always a great go-to for poke. Haven't found any better around town.
Love it here ! Generous portions and good selection of food choices .
So bomb. Reminds me of home (Hawaii). Probably the most authentic around here. Definitely recommend.
Fell in LOVE. I only wish it was closer to my house.
Delicious every time! Owners are very kind and take the time to assemble bowls. Presentation and taste is on point every time! My go to when I’m craving poke.
Food here is great! So glad there is a legit poke place local to our home
Unlike the chipotle inspired walk thru line found at nearly every other poke place, Poke District follows a more authentic tradition. The food is excellent in both quality and taste, and is by far the most authentic Hawaiian style poke I've found on the mainland thus far.
This place is bomb, the quantity of fish impressed me. The flavors are amazing. This place is the closest to the islands I can find on the mainland.
Amazing as usual. Highly recommend this place to anyone. Fresh food. Amazing service. Thanks to Madinah for excellent service, you're amazing
These poke bowls are fantastic! Simple menu, packed with flavor. Reasonably priced.
I love picking what i want to order like they do it. They need Poke Bowl on the front of their restaurant. Great set up fresh food!
This place has ruined my ability to enjoy poke anywhere else. I drive pretty far outta my way to come here and whenever I bring it home everyone is thrilled.
Our go to place when we don’t want to cook dinner. Always fresh and delicious, lots of options to choose from. The staff are helpful too. Give it a try!
Good food for a really great price! Definitely plan to come back in the future. Also, there was plenty of parking.
LOVE this place! BEST FRESH POKE EVER! I've had my share of poke! VERY CLEAN! A++++! You get what you pay for, so worth it!
The fish is always super fresh, and they always get your order together fast! A great local small business to support!!
Nice place for poke. Good food with fast service Friendly place with great atmosphere.
Great poke restaurant They serve u fresh fish ^_^
Fish is always fresh and tasty. May take a bit longer if it's busy but the quality of the fish is worth the wait when it's busy.
This place competes with other poke places like pokinometry. Very filling, but service can take a awhile and the atmosphere is a bit run down and lackluster.
Great poke but the price has made this place a treat rather than a staple for me.
Simple, but good quality. The avocado sauce is tasty, the fish fresh.
The only thing I wish they had was more fish options. Other then that no complaints and very good quality food and service
The young white guy working here needs a raise. He is a hard worker, polite, and does everything right. I want to hire him myself. The food is real good here. Best poke in the area for sure.
Probably the best poke place I have ever eaten at. Absolutely excellent portions. The sauce is balanced. The rice is nice and fluffy. Very cozy place! Do not fear the weird hours because this is worth it.
This is by far one of my favorite Poke places. I like that everything is separated within the plate it allows me to choose what I want to start with. I enjoy the original sauce but they do have spicy sauces if that is what you're into. The fish is fresh and delicious every time I go in. I will definitely keep going to get my Poke craving satisfied.
Always very friendly staff. Not the cheapest poke place I've been to, but it tastes amazing and definitely fills me up. All the ingredients are always fresh, never been worried about getting sick or anything like that. Definitely one of the BEST poke places I've found so far. Highly recommended!
Best poke in the neighborhood. They have the freshest fish, and they give you a good portion of it. Most other poke places give you too much complimentary "stuff" like rice, veggies, and other fillers. Poke District puts the spotlight on the fish, as it should be. The Godzilla sauce is my favorite. I come here at least 1-2 times a month as a treat.
Amazingly consistent spot for great poke. The owners and staff are always so polite and friendly and their menu is straightforward and without any complex options. Stop by if you’re in the area - the fish is always great and you’ll always be greeted with a smile.
Extremely delicious and fresh poke. I'm a trainer that works in this complex and the poke is addicting and 90% of what I eat when I go out. I sadly am not a fan of the seaweed salad, but love the crab salad and fresh hot rice with furikake, half/half for the fish! Wish they had a location closer to south oc.
This poke place isn't quite as customizable as some other places ,but the food they offer is super good . The portion sizes are quite large for a decent price and always so fresh . The customer service is also top notch , they recognize frequent customers and greet you when you enter. Love going here for lunch !
Small place but big portions and big flavor. My favorite poke place closed recently and have been looking for a new one. Think I found it. Price seems a little high, but with the amount of fish they pile in, it's actually a great value. Going back soon.
Absolutely incredible place! Ahi was super fresh, cucumber salad is delicious. And the owners are present and involved at the store level, which is super rad. Very inviting and welcoming. Will definitely be back!
First things first, the greeting when we walked in. Amazing customer service. The hawaiian music was playing, the atmosphere was clean, the people were warm and welcoming. My daughter wanted poké and after a quick search we decided to try here. The portions were large and the food fresh. My daughter, the best taste palette in our house, gave it a thumbs up. Thank you. We will definitely be back.
Awesome customer service and good poke! I'd come back :) You can get a different sauce on the side, avocado aioli was really good and Godzilla was pretty good not too spicy. Poke Crunch is a bomb snack! Def not a meal though
A simple layout, Hawaiian style poke, and quick friendly service. You have to try Poke District!
A little bit of Aloha in Orange County and the closest I've had to Poke in Hawaii. Everything is on point here from the flavor profile, price point, and ambiance. They do poke and do it amazingly well. If you're in need a quick snack or a full blown dinner and you feel a little island breeze coming your way it's probably from the POKE DISTRICT!!! Follow the breeze!!
The options are simple but good. Meat quality was excellent. Cucumber Salad was fresh.
I was pretty shocked by the portion of the food. I ordered a create your own and got the salmon, white rice with their new spicy mayo sauce. It was very delicious and the right amount of spicyness! I also had their original sauce on the side which is a sweet soy sauce and that was also very good along with the spicy mayo. I will definitely be coming back here to get my poke fix and I absolutely recommend trying this restaurant out!
True Hawaiian Poke. They don't mess around with all the toppings and extras that usually take away from poke. The focus here is all on their amazingly fresh fish. The salmon and tuna are cut to perfect sized pieces and taste amazing. Portions are a great size and prices are reasonable.
I was surprised at first by the menu because it is somewhat different than other poke places, but this is BY FAR the best poke I’ve ever tasted. The rice, the quality of fishes, the sauces, everything about that poke was delicious. Great service too which adds to the experience.
This is a great place to get Hawaiian style poke. It's a little different than some of the other pokey joints in which you go through a line and pick everything you want added to the bowl. Instead here you're only given a few options of fish, base, and sauce. But it is so good. I found it refreshing not having to choose 100 different toppings. Workers/ owners are so nice and thankful you stopped in. Would definitely come back again and again.
Easily the best poke in orange county. I've been here countless times. Food is consistent, staff is nice. The fish is always fresh and doesn't have that taste like it's been sitting around for awhile. I usually get salmon. Also, their various sauces are delicious.
If you're searching for a culinary adventure that tantalizes your taste buds and leaves you feeling refreshed, look no further than The Poke District. My recent visit to this vibrant eatery was nothing short of extraordinary, and I feel compelled to share the joy I experienced. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The cleanliness of the space stood out immediately, showcasing the care and attention to detail the team puts into maintaining a pristine environment. It’s clear that The Poke District values not just the quality of their food, but also the comfort and satisfaction of their guests. Now, let’s talk about the food—oh, the food! Each poke bowl is a colorful masterpiece, expertly crafted with the freshest ingredients. The vibrant hues of the vegetables, the succulent fish, and the perfectly cooked rice come together to create a visual feast that is as pleasing to the eye as it is to the palate. Every bite bursts with flavor, and the variety of toppings and sauces allows for a personalized experience that caters to every preference. What truly sets The Poke District apart is their commitment to quality. You can taste the freshness in every ingredient, and the passion of the chefs shines through in their meticulous preparation. It’s not just a meal; it’s an experience that inspires you to savor each moment, reminding you of the joy that good food can bring. Whether you're a poke enthusiast or a newcomer, The Poke District is a must-visit. It’s more than just a dining destination; it’s a celebration of flavors, health, and community. I left feeling invigorated and happy, and I can’t wait to return for another delightful experience. If you haven’t yet discovered this gem, treat yourself—your taste buds will thank you!
I’ve tried several places and this one has by far the best quality ingredients. The staff is very friendly and the place is always very clean and nice.
not your average poke spot. super fresh tasting ingredients. staff was extremely kind and accommodating to my gluten free girlfriend. definitely found the prime spot in OC for poke!
Best poke in Orange. They put quality and care in each bowl/platter. Other places have more options of things to add, but here the proportions are just right and taste is clean and fresh. They don’t rush the food prep, so be patient, because it’s worth it. I usually order the half N half with brown rice and hot lava sauce (or spicy mayo when I want something creamier). We like to eat this poke with Holdaak chicken in the same complex.
Simple and clean poke place. Only has 2 fish proteins but they def know what theyre doing. Perfect if you want to try poke or dont want to be overwhelmed making your own bowl.
Best Poke in OC! Hands down the best poke you’ll find in Orange County! I had the salmon bowl and was blown away. The fish was incredibly fresh, and one of the rare places that doesn’t overdrench it in sauce—just the right balance to let the quality shine. The rice was cooked perfectly, the seaweed salad with imitation crab on the side was a great touch, and the roe on top brought the whole bowl together beautifully. Service was just as impressive. Mey was super friendly, welcoming, and made the experience even better. You can tell they really care about their customers. The ambiance was great too—super clean and bright, and the place was buzzing with people. Despite how busy it was, everything moved efficiently and smoothly. If you’re craving poke and want quality, great service, and a clean, lively spot to enjoy it—Poke District is it!
Me encanta y volveré.
Good quality fish, but the options are limited compared to Pokenometry, or Poke Monster in Tustin.
This place is amazing! I've only went there twice so far and the staff are VERY friendly and showed me how to order and gave me their opinions. I love salmon and I'll will definitely try to build this into my weekly to go to eateries.
It’s the latest, but not the greatest doing fresh fish. It’s Hawaiian’s raw version of Scrod. Poke is inherently fresh, it’s not 100% tied to any one variety, but most notably big eye and ahi with Salmon being more recently made attractive. It’s fresh cut scraps from local catches meant for the local fishermen and their families. It was never meant to or compete with the fatty belly sold to sushi restaurants or the true sashimi, but more as a snack. The rice sort of makes it a meal in the same way that a combo platter’s rice makes BBQ a meal. They should call this place Poke Bowl, no Poke District because all their dishes are bowls. The cubed chunks cut from a likely frozen saku block. I would think procuring huge amounts of fresh tuna (never frozen) is near impossible, even locally. And the saku block is perfect for poke. I know a few restaurants that do this instead of using the filet, belly or loins. The ahi has ok color, it’s firm, but not buttery. The salmon is a little thinner and softer in flavor and texture. I could not put my tongue on the origin (likely not NZ or Scottish variety). The sauces to me are pretty basic as well as being bland. I was really hoping for bright and contrasting. They skimped on the sesame seed oil, didn’t have yuzu or any citrus. The avo aioli was good by itself, but mixed with the fish, rice, cucumber or salad felt like it was something that dropped from a burger. The Lava was your basic scriracha-esque aioli except this one is just heat, no depth or flavor. The sweet soy is good, but no attempt to make it their own. White rice was cooked well, brown rice was cooked well. I like the furikaki dusting and the sesame seed were nice, but prefer the oil in the fish (I actually find it to be a base flavor I prefer in all my poke). Kanikama. Meh. Cucumber salad. Meh. No ogo, limu, no kukui nuts. That pretty much makes it not Hawaiian at all and to me barely poke. No potato salad. The seaweed salad was good, small, but not expensive. I always mix it in, it makes it really just like they actually make it in Hawaii even without all the proper accoutrements. I bought my friends kid a happa bowl since he is pretty new to fish that’s not in stick form). He liked it and dug the avocado. He felt it was very light and refreshing compared to his usual burgers, pizza that his mom feeds him. Tip: Check in on yelp and get 10% off. Service is friendly. It can be slow considering the menu is small and simple. Price is ok even without the check in due to the price of fresh fish, but I was hoping for a wow factor, authenticity or something to keep my attention. It’s a great start and probably just the beginning in OC’s poke trend or plan to take down stalwart North Shore. Ambiance is relaxed as is the décor, the owner is nice and explained he’s bringing on some other proteins, but could not confirm what kinds. Though I may write about my disappointment with their lack of authenticity I think it’s only fair to label it California Poke. There is room for improvement in variety, execution, but for those who have never had authentic poke it’s probably to them top of the mountain. Even though I’m Filipino with family in HI and I’ve spent quite a bit of time there I’m still a Haole and will always be one.
Pleasant and helpful front counter staff. Good quality fish, with some tasty sauces. Get the salad option as they serve up way too much rice.
Fish is very fresh. I'm not too crazy about the ambiance. One of those places I would get the food to go. Popular lunch place
Hi Your food is delicious and I’ve notice the store has gotten more popular each time I come here Staff your store with an extra person? Poor gal looking stress from walk in orders , phone orders and the ptsd sound of doordash order tablet. You got 1 person during lunch hour Friday and she’s needs help 😂 She’s precious and very kind and doing her best. Love the poki here
My rule for poke restaurants is that if it has Poke in the name, it's nothing special. However Poke District definitely have their own way of doing a poke bowl. The menu lacks diversity but they give you a lot of food and the warm rice is a great touch. However it is pricey for a poke bowl. Overall good place
Probably the best poke in this north oc area. Not only you hit dana point. get the sauces on the side
Not the most ideal poke spot for those poke lovers. They don't have selection like most places. Most their menu is already set in stone so not much you can do as far a custom bowls. On the flip side they do have good tasting food. I disliked the fact that did not have avocado as an option.
The food was really good. The place is a small little restaurant with great quality. I highly recommend the lava sauce with whatever options you choose.
If you like poke then check this place out. Get the half tuna and half salmon in the hot lava. The fish is fresh and has a spicy nice kick to it. I love the seaweed salad that comes with the bowl. You can also add avocado for $1. Service was okay.
Salmon very fresh here & they give you a good portion. Nothing special about the dining area but the service is top tier, employees are nice. My biggest disappointment is they don’t have enough toppings nor sauces like spicy mayo. If you like your poke with lots of veggies & toppings this is not the place for you. It’s not a bowl it’s more like a platter with rice on the side.
Not sure what happened. My sister and I were big fans of Poke District. It is THE poke shop we recommend to others. But today, I had it for the first time in a couple of months, and I am disappointed. This poke shop used to have high quality raw fish, seaweed salad, and crab. But today, the salmon and especially tuna has a tough texture. The salmon still has slivers of its skin on them. As I continue to eat this, I am left wondering if I’ll have food poisoning…
The fish is freah and delicious and the portions are big. Only downside is the price and lack of variety.
Always out of avocado and not a lot of customization options but good quality fish!
I dropped in here for a quick meal with the two kids. For a "quick lunch" with kids it was way overpriced. We split two "bowls" at $11 each and with three canned drinks it was over $30. The food was good, but it lacked the sesame oil goodness I'm used to in poke. If the meal was as big as the price I would be a returning diner, but since it's not I won't.
All four adults in my party decided we wouldn't be back. Wrong orders, salads with too much plain lettuce, not as described, etc.
Compared to just about any other poke place in the area, it's painfully mediocre and smelled awfully fishy. The traditional build-your-own poke method where you select toppings is thrown out the window and you pay $15 for some fish and a ball of rice. Will not be returning
Food was below average. Service was terrible. They left our food in open containers on the counter and walked away. We had to closed the containers on our own and bag them on our own. We were the only customers in the place. Love to support local businesses, but this one gives other great restaurants a bad rep.
I decided to give this location a try on my lunch break. Flavor wise it was ok not much of a selection. In my opinion for minimal selection I think the price was a little high. Where is the corn, edamame, carrots, cucumber ect. all the good stuff, all the good toppings? For the price they are asking per bowl well not worth it sorry guys.
This place is never open! Their recent hours say open Tues-Friday and Sat 11:30am - 7pm. Here I am on Wed at 5:30pm and... Closed. I asked the guy behind the counter last time I went why the weird hours. He said "That's just our hours". By the way, Poke here is super good. Just don't count on it to be open.
Honestly extremely disappointed, way over priced, extremely limited selection, the owners are nice but this place won't last long. They wouldn't even let me mix a second soauce or make my order correctly.
These guys move like they're frozen and it wasnt even busy
Worst poke place I've been to. Severely limited menu. Out of that severely limited menu, they were out of some options. The staff couldn't seem to care less.
This place is as good as any other poke place, of which there are many now. I just went there and they raised the prices. It now cost over $10 for a bowl, so I'm out. Small businesses need to be more competitive if they're going to survive with the amount of competition that exists, and that doesn't mean gouging customers when you feel like you want your business being in more cash.
I really wanted to like this place because the food itself was actually good. The poke was fresh, flavorful, and exactly what I was craving. Unfortunately, the experience overall was disappointing. It took 45 minutes to bring out my single, small order. It wasn’t a large group order — just one bowl. That kind of wait time is unacceptable, especially for a quick-service restaurant. What made it more frustrating was seeing one staff member standing around on their phone instead of helping the other two employees who were clearly trying to keep up. It didn’t seem like there was any sense of urgency or teamwork. Again, the food tasted good, but the long wait and lack of staff support really took away from the experience. Sadly, I wouldn’t come back because of that.
Absolutely ridiculous experience. Placed an order online, they claimed they called and left a voicemail. One; no voicemails were left. At all. So let’s not lie there (as they claimed so, told by a driver who was kind enough to call me). Two; if they called, it wasn’t with their store number. The only calls I received anywhere near the claimed timeframe were from a MA area code and there’s no way I’m answering a random number (mind you, no where near their store number. Not even close. If that wasn’t them, then they didn’t even call in the first place. Awesome. Love that). They made it a nightmare for the drivers, and made it a nightmare to cancel (because it has to be done on the store’s end, and they tried to just close without cancelling the order before hand. Uber help even stated it has to be done by the store). I don’t know who was working the store tonight (Feb. 23rd) but the service was completely unprofessional and needs to be handled better in the future. Regardless, I know I’ll be getting my poke elsewhere from individuals who know how to operate in an actual professional manner.
