Jones Coffee Roasters Pasadena Reviews
Great place to just chill, relax and have a cortado. Or wine on certain nights. There’s also a small fine art gallery inside for exhibition and collecting if that piques your interest!
Had a great experience at Jones Coffee Roasters today. Parking is a little packed, but there are spots along the street—this place is worth the brief stroll! This is the kind of place you want to spend your coffee break. Great atmosphere, friendly patrons and staff, and tasty brews and bites. I ordered an oat milk cappuccino, and a “homemade” pop tart. Both were very tasty, and enjoyed along the veranda that runs in front of the pizza spot next door. Bathrooms were also clean (the one I went in to), and out of view of “prying” eyes if you’re the kind of person who hates knowing people can see them walking into a restroom. Matthew at the register was extremely accommodating and took a moment to have a conversation instead of just trying to rush me through. Can’t wait to come back, and will be telling friends and family to check this place out!
I used to rotate between Jameson Brown whenever I ran out of beans, but now I’ve fully settled on Jones. Before regularly supporting local roasters, I subscribed to Stumptown, and honestly, in terms of flavor and freshness, Jones is in no way inferior to Stumptown. One thing I especially love is their reward system. Instead of a typical points-based program, they give you a free cup of coffee when you buy a bag of beans and that simple gesture brings a different kind of joy. My personal favorites are the Pasadena Blend, Madison Blend, and Bourbon Rojo. Each has its own character, and they never disappoint.
My absolute favorite coffee shop in LA. Unpretentious, community vibes, live music, affordable coffee, lots of space to do work or chat with friends - it’s got it all! So happy I found this place.
Love it here! A live jazz band was playing on the morning we went. They have all kinds of creamers and milks in a serve yourself glass fridge. I liked that!
We live in LA and go to old mill foundation here sometimes, I always want to get a coffee on our way but so far we weren’t able to find nice coffee shop until today! Just randomly stoped by at this place and it was amazing, first it is a really beautiful older coffee shop with nice outside seating and filled with history of the place and sense of community inside, we god coffees and matcha and all tasted great! Service was nice and restrooms clean. So it will be our new favorite spot!
Great coffee spot in Pasadena! During my Pasadena visit, I came across Jones Coffee Roasters. The cafe is very artsy with art all throughout. Very fun vibe! The menu consist of your basic coffee options, latte, espresso, Americana etc.. If you’re not a coffee lover, there are non coffee options. There's pastry options as well if you need a quick bite. I got an iced vanilla latte which was perfect and a warm buttered croissant. Yum! There's plenty of parking which is always a big deal for me. They have both indoor and outdoor seating as well. Go check it out!
Jones Coffee Roasters (est 1993) is a family run coffee company in Pasadena. I have been to their other shop on Mission street but this location on Raymond avenue is absolutely chic and artsy with cool atmosphere; it’s indoor decor has a rustic look and dim lit which is a perfect coffee date spot to bring someon3. Staff were competent and professional and drinks are reasonably priced. They have a compendious selection of coffee from blends to seasonal to decafs. Similarly, they have coffee bean bags, mugs, and decanter for sale. have plenty of indoor and outdoor seats. I had a hot Latte w/ whole milk. And it was perfectly made to my liking. Parking lot and street parking are available albeit very limited. I was lucky that I found a street parking spot. Overall, I enjoyed my coffee and their service. I’d definitely come back. I highly recommend this coffee shop.
Probably one of my favorite coffee spots in Pasadena. After seeing the new interior renovations, it appears to be a great lounge, wine spot. I had their matcha latte with whole milk. It had the perfect temperature, flavor and it was a well made morning drink. Overall a delicious start to the day. I’d definitely come back here again to try their other menu items. Parking can get crowded during peak times, fyi.
This is a very cool industrial coffee spot just south of Old Town Pasadena off the beaten path. Inside the lobby is filled with cozy seating and artwork. We ended up sitting outside in the covered area of the parking lot where I enjoyed my 12oz Americano. There are a few parking spaces in this lot (shared with a pizza joint) and luckily it's on Raymond and that doesn't get too crowded so plenty of street parking. I'll definitely be coming back soon. Attached are some shots I took of two coffee posters I thought looked beautiful and informative.
Great place to get some coffee and do some work. Open space with an industrial vibe. Lots of seating indoors and out. Next to a few other businesses including a takeout pizza place. No wifi, which is actually really nice for focused work. Spotted some outlets so you can still bring your computer. Decently sized parking lot but it’s a very popular location so you might need to park on the street, part of the lot is taken for outdoor seating. Dog friendly, lots of greenery. Nice staff and decent prices. I tried a savory croissant (sage and cheddar I think?) and the lavender oat latte. Croissant was pretty tasty, a bit oily. Latte was a bit too sweet for me, but still good. Would definitely come back and try other things on the menu.
Jones coffee is a neat little spot in Pasadena. Has both indoor and outdoor seating and offers an open flow, hipster vibe. Whats Great about this place is that you will see people from all walks of life. I saw a businesswoman prepping for a meeting, and I also saw an artist working on some of his artwork. I had a lavender iced latte which was very flavorful and you can taste a lot of lavender. Not too sweet, just how I like it. They also offer a wide variety of pastries to go along your coffee. Coffee - 4/5 Atmosphere - 7/10 Service - 5/5 Total - 16/20
Great coffee.Good pastries. This is a nice place to enjoy a morning cup of brew. The atmosphere is awesome. With plenty of indoor and some outdoor seating. Also many blends of coffee sold by the bag which they can grind for you there or you can grind at home. Easy access from metro gold line (fillmore stop). The staff is friendly. Stop by and enjoy a good cup of coffee.
I want to start off by saying this place has excellent coffee. The espresso is amazing. However, the matcha is not it. It’s usually okay. However, today I got a cup of mostly warm milk. It was barely green, and it was more like a hint of matcha. So I paid 6+$ for a cup of warm milk with a hint of matcha. Basically if you go here, get a coffee based drink, and you’ll be happy.
I was looking for light-to-medium roasted beans for espresso without any milk. I am a skilled espresso barista and know what coffees I like. I bought three different kinds of beans from Jones, and none of them had good coffee highlight flavors. Most were over-roasted, but some we still reasonably light but lacked the flavors I expected from their origins. I wanted to like them, but I need to find a different and better roaster.
