Found this restaurant in 2021 and have been going ever since for business lunches/dinners, birthdays, dates, and even late night last minute meals. The owner, Armen, is great and always greeting us as we pass by or while we are eating. The host/hostess are always accommodating to the last minute changes when able, and the waiter, waitresses, and bussers are all very kind.

Mi Piace has been a solid choice in Old Pasadena for over 25 years, and it shows. Came here with a friend for dinner after FIFA Club World Cup game Monterey vs River Plate. Service was smooth. Staff was attentive but not overbearing. Interior feels upscale without being stiff. Good for dates, small groups, or casual business dinners. Prices are fair for the area and the quality. Expect $25–$40 per entree. You come here when you want something reliable, well-prepared, and with good service. I’ve eaten here more than once. Never had a bad meal. Would recommend for both locals and out-of-towners.

Had dinner here celebrating my bestfriends birthday. I can not say enough good things about this place. Food was AMAZING!! Service was IMPECCABLE!! Drinks were STRONG!! The owner very graciously game us complimentary desert. I spent a couple hundred but it was worth every penny for every delicious bite.

The Caprese Burrata was a refreshing appetizer, I enjoyed the ratio of tomato to burrata. The Fettucine Alfredo Tartufo was so delicious, 9/10! The wider pasta noodles paired really well with the cream sauce, which was flavorful and not too heavy like other versions of this dish. But the portion size was a bit smaller than expected. Perfect for one person, but if you want to share dishes or are hella hungry, I’d recommend ordering two. The Farfalle Salmone Vodka was also very tasty. The smoked salmon was very salty, but if you eat it in small bites with pasta, the flavors balance out well. Solid 8/10! The open kitchen adds to the ambiance, but the restauraunt itself was quite dim. I think an addition of candles or mini centerpieces would really enhance the atmosphere. Although the service was a bit slow and difficult to get attention, the restauraunt was so busy and we didn’t mind too much. Shoutout to the one chef who went around asking how everyone’s dinner was. Gave him a fistbump and he kindly gave us a tiramisu on the house. Which was bomb!!! Perfectly balanced flavors and sweetness. Would come back just for that dessert. Overall, would definitely recommend this place to anyone craving some authentic italian.

Dinner at Mi Piace was absolutely perfect. The pasta was incredibly delicious, and even the bread was so tasty. After we finished eating, the cozy and relaxed atmosphere made it easy to linger and enjoy a lovely time with friends. Everything from the food to the ambiance and service was just right. This place lives up to its reputation as an "institution" for solid Italian classics and contemporary dishes since it opened the last century and the new chef, Isiah Peña is up to the task. The bakery in the basement has always stood in its own higher league and the owners imported a baker from Greece to make sure. Chef Peńa's special little notes like pickled pear and cucumber mignonette with oysters, and flamed or dry-iced presentations are dramatic and memorable. Peña's easy-going, affable nature belie his talent, flair and capability in the kitchen -- and his good vibes carry across the staff -- we learned one day that our server was retired and still came in to take shifts because he loved the place!

My coworker suggested we dine here for our Christmas luncheon. Mi Piace (I Like) was a great place for our luncheon. From the time we walked into the door and until we left, the service was awesome. The Owner came over to introduce himself to insure we were satisfied, with the service and food. They have one of the best wine 🍷 selection I’ve seen in a while. Our food was delicious and fresh and arrived to our table quite fast. The garlic bread……..that is so delicious we had to have a second serving of the bread. Fur babies are welcome here. This location is wheelchair accessible. There is indoor and outdoor dining. This location has a bar and lounge for your enjoyment. Enjoy the fresh baked desserts. There is plenty of paid parking. Be ready to scan a pay for parking. Credit card, Apple Pay and Google Pay is available when paying for parking. I recommend you make reservations.

We had a great experience with great service, and the food was overall good, though a bit pricey. The calamari and sauce were particularly delicious (missed to take a photo). For our main dishes, we enjoyed the Lasagna Di Carne, Slow Braised Short Ribs, and Wild Mushroom Pizza. The pizza was tasty, though it had a little too much olive oil for my taste. We finished off with a New York cheesecake for dessert, which was enjoyable. While everything was tasty, the food's quality and portion sizes didn’t quite justify the prices.

Located on the north side of Colorado Blvd in Old Town Pasadena. Went for lunch on a Friday, restaurant was maybe half full but it was too loud for me. Service felt a bit slow. I tried the lobster chowder and the pastrami sandwich. I was not a fan of the chowder, but the pastrami made up for it. There’s a paid parking structure nearby and paid street parking. I’d like to try other things on their menu, but the atmosphere isn’t for me.

We were shocked to get last minute reservations on Christmas eve. We were greeted and seated immediately. The dining room is nothing special, but it was comfortable enough. Our server was amazing!.. we started with calamari and it was delicious. Moving on to the main and we were shocked when they brought out the equivalent of a kids meal. I have never had such miniscule serving of pasta! An adult man in our group ordered fettuccine Alfredo and the serving was about 1 cup. Seriously? This was the main dish! My lobster pasta was slightly larger, but it had about 1/4 of a very small lobster tail on some pasta that was extremely al dented. We were so taken aback by how skimpy the serving and ingredients were. The flavor was great but we had to come home and eat again. Sorry, but you need to do better

Well, I don't know if the previous reviewers haven't had great Italian food to compare to, or we went when the restaurant was having a bad day, but the service was really bad. There was oil on our table from the previous diners, and we had to ask twice for our server to finally wipe it off- sort of. I paid $5.50 for fountain soda and had to get up and find someone to get a refill after waiting too long. The food was good, but definitely not great. I had the gnocchi and my wife had the squash ravioli (she thought it was bad, with no flavor) You can't charge that much for poor service and average food and expect people to come back. Not when you can get better Italian food elsewhere for the same or less.

We came here for a business meal. Ordered the escargot but it was unnecessarily smothered in oil n herbs that u couldn’t even taste the delicacy. I have had better tasting ones. For main course, I ordered the steak as medium but they sent it as well done. I didn’t wanna return it in front of my business peers but for $74 they should know how to cook a steak. It’s not that difficult. Even the garnishing looks cheap n unnecessary for a high class restaurant like this. Disappointed that my meal was sub par given the prices and other reviews.

Sadly, this will be our last time going to this restaurant. Been here ever since a teen. The service and food have just gone downhill. This last time was a last minute decision to go here. My husband did not want to but I convinced him. Started out with the waiter, for whatever reason, ignored me. I had to repeat the order three times. I even asked my kid was it me or did he just blatantly ignored me. My husband laughed at how ridiculously he was behaving. The food - I was soooo looking forward to the pasta. Got the gamberi. It tasted like baby food. The pasta and the carrot sauce 😳. Of course, I had other people at the table taste it just to make sure it’s not “me thing.” At the end of the dinner, he brought the check and handed it to my husband and said “here you go buddy”. Well, the check was split. Bad service + bad food = $200 bill (not including tip). For that amount of money, you CAN get better food and service elsewhere.

Worst dining experience ever. The 4 party 8:00 reservation wasn’t seated until 9:20. I get that it was busy for Dine LA, but damn. After multiple complaints, 3 steaks were ordered medium rare at the same time however, one hits the table well done. It gets sent back. While the staff is attempting to be accommodating and understanding, the “owner with the pony tail” literally just comes up to the table and said “What?”
