The Food was great, the customer service was even better, and it had a great atmosphere. Prices are in line with most chain style restaurants but the food is better.

Friendly and professional staff mixed with amazing food, what else can you ask for? Their specials are always to die for, and the regular menu has plenty of delicious options to choose from. They deserve more than 5 stars!

Delish food and homemade desserts!!. We like to stop in on our way back from Syracuse, its half way. Very relaxing atmosphere they never rush you. And the wait staff is amazing. I highly recommend the River House in Pulaski New York.

Bartender Katie is exceptional. I tried the prime rib. 100% recommend. Pretzels have cheese and honey mustard sauce. Definitely do the Brussels and the garlic mash. May have invented a drink. Order the mark from Katie. It is a black and tan from Adirondack stout and hayburner by big ditch.

5 stars isn’t enough. Ribeye was perfect loved my meal but also had one of the best waitresses I’ve ever met . My whole table smiled every time we seen her weather she was bringing food or not lol

Everything was done very well, the margarita, mushroom mustard pork chops, beef tips with mushrooms, etc. I want to try the chicken riggies next time! The service was friendly and efficient. We had no wait getting seated or waited on.

One couple drove from Geneva because a couple months ago they stopped in town coming from Alex Bay for gas and figured they would have a nice dinner before they finished heading home. And were so suprised by all the people that seemed to all know each other and made them feel like neighbors. It was the first time in over a year that they were around so many happy people with no Covid-19 talk just a little peice of happiness and pie that everyone I know could use. Thank you Pulaski and Riverhouse staff for being such uplifting and geniune people. Hope it never gets lost. And the food????? That was amazing but the whole experience was just right.....

Amazing experience. I ordered a glass of wine, a New England clam chowder, and penne allá vodka. Everything was absolutely great. The atmosphere was excellent and the staff was very nice.

I found this place last year for our first time in the area. Was happy to come back this year to find our bartender still there and as quick as I remember her to be. It is a great time and looking forward to visiting again in the future.

Great food - got the broiled haddock which is a much smaller portion than the beer battered. Not sure why - maybe it seems like a health thing.

We spent a few days fishing and for dinner, we arrived at the Riverhouse after some other local spots were over an hour wait for dinner. The food was absolutely delicious, took less than 10-15 minutes and plated beautifully. I had the special Bang Bang Chicken and Pasta, was AMAZING. Most of all, atmosphere was top notch, we spent the evening laughing. If you are in the area, make sure to stop in!! Kate will help you with your menu selections! ;) She is ALWAYS right!

Ate here two nights in a row. The food is amazing. Had the smothered pork chops the first night and the ribeye the second night (it was cooked perfectly) We ate in the dinning room the first night and Val took very good care of us. She was very attentive to our needs. The second night we ate at the bar and had the pleasure of the bartender Anna taking care of us. She is beyond awesome. Funny and witty. The Riverhouse is a must go to. The food is always good and they will treat you right

River house hands down has THE best food I’ve found in my 8 years coming to Pulaski to fish the Salmon River. Our waitress was friendly and personable, the food was on point, portions were perfect and we were happy to be able to sit on the patio. My only disappointment is that I hadn’t found this place sooner. I will be back next year for sure.

First time there. The wait staff were perfessional and helpful. The food was well prepared, homemade, delicious and large portioned. The carrot cake for dessert was fresh and big enough to share. We really enjoyed our evening, Val was delightful and knowledgeable about the menu. We will be back, hopefully next week.

We recently met my husband's cousin and his wife for lunch. We are vegetarians and his cousin isn't. The chef came out and offered to make us something not on the menu. The food was amazing!!! Great service. Great food. Great company. Personally, I couldn't have asked for a better time.

On Friday night myself and three others came in for a 6:30 dinner. Our waitress was friendly and very efficient .I can't say enough about our meals. Two of us ordered the filet tips with caramelized onions and mushrooms, mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts . It was FANTASTIC !!!!!! We can't wait to come back and enjoy another meal. I've always had a good meal here. Portions are big and prices are fair. The atmosphere is nice and everything is clean. Staff is always really friendly too. The menu has a good variety of options. Only complaint is that there is no baby changing table in the men's room, but that's usually the case at most places anyway.

We ordered beer battered haddock dinners to go. I got there 15 minutes early, and even though I didn't give my name over the phone, they recognized me when I came in. They were kind enough to put my order in a little early, and I enjoyed an amaretto sour while I waited. The ladies were very nice. My husband and I had a delicious dinner.

Delicious. My twin brothers talked highly of both the service and food at River House and I understand why. I had the shaved steak sandwich and French onion soup, which is exactly what I needed after I day on the River. The staff here are courteous and welcoming. I had dinner here tonight and thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. Sat at the bar. Christen made me a perfect martini. Ordered a salad followed by broiled haddock with special greens and garlic mashed potatoes... Could not have been better. Sports a full bar, good wine by the glass selections, happy hour specials, etc. Physically, it’s a very nice place in the old, historic part of Pulaski - a town of about 2,400 year-round residents. Friendly staff and patrons, most of whom were here from out of town to fish in the nearby, internationally recognized Salmon River or Lake Ontario. Everybody I’ve talked with about it says it’s a great place with excellent food. My singular experience validated that POV. Highly recommended!

Earthy good food and perfect service. The walleye, honey crusted was good. The pork porterhouse simply grilled was delicious. The 4 sides we tasted were all very good: Asparagus, Mash potatoes, mushrooms in butter and garlic, Coleslow. The wine list is simple but has everything you need and the beer selection is impressive. The creme brulee was as french as it goes.

It was a hit or miss with the food, they had some strange tasting things and they had some delicious things. The inside was pretty. The waitress seemed a little annoyed we were there even though the 9 of us were the only ones there.

Prices are fair for the food, have never had a bad meal here their raspberry tea is some of the best I've had. Service is friendly and good. Atmosphere is Nice and the different rooms and styles are a nice change. I'd recommend this place to anyone. A must if just visiting or if your a local.

Always enjoy our time here. The owner is often on site and very involved to ensure a great experience for everyone. Most of staff is awesome and the food is always always good. They make a concerted effort to change up the menu to give you an ongoing variety of choices. Soups and salads are terrific and they have a whole section of their menu dedicated to smoked meats. Prime Rib specials on the weekends and decent pub fare as well of that’s all you’re looking for that day. They make a smooth southern comfort manhattan and their desserts are always terrific especially the homemade carrot cake. Would highly recommend. PS Their drunken mussels app is one of best I’ve ever had! 👍🏻😍

We had lunch here. We started with a cup of clam chowder and then I had the buffalo chicken wrap w/onion rings and my wife had the fried haddock sandwich w/fries. I loved the flavor of the soup and we both loved our sandwiches. Well worth the trip to this restaurant.

Food was good but servers kept asking if we were done from a few minutes after we got our food and it was still too hot to start eating. It was about 2-3 hours from closing time so it was strange.

Certainly not planning to try again. Portions were decent sized and tasted decent, but have never had chicken parm that was rubbery. Was consistency of gizzards..?

First off, this was our first time at this place in over 3?-4? years. I will explain my score of three star rating. I would seriously suggest that the chef learn how to broil seafood. That being said, both my wife and I ordered the seafood platter and both requested the broiled version. I believe they charged about $30.00 + per plate and came with two side orders. I ordered a bowl of French onion soup and was absolutely one of the best I've had. She a side salad. The seafood platters were much to be desired. They both consisted of four scallops about the size of an american quarter, four shrimp of a fairly small size, a piece of fish I would approximate at about 3ozs, onion rings, and I ordered the brussel sprouts. Portion was I thought extremely small. All of the seafood that was broiled was extremely overcooked and jerky like. The service and friendliness of the server was out of this world. She deserves a 5+ for her service! I would highly suggest that anyone should absolutely NOT order broiled anything. Our friends meals were top notch and they raved about their meals. We will give the place another try, but if it ends up being as poor a quality and portion, that will be enough for us.

Not much to pick from. No Clam Chowder and never gave us the platter menu till we asked. Stuck eating wings when we wanted a good platter. Also flat beer on tap.. It was noticed right away cause it a local beer brewery near us. However they put on a new tap and gave us a fresh one.

This is the nicest sit down place in the area. My experience here has always been just alright. The main entrees seem to lack any sort of significant seasoning especially the sea food. I do have to say they do have a really stellar salad which surprised me. Service has always been prompt , and the prices are on the high side of reasonable.

The restaurant itself is very nice. The atmosphere is homey but slightly upscale and the service was great. We have eaten there twice and the only reason I didn't give it another star is that the prices really don't reflect the product. Be prepared to spend a little bit more than you may expect as a heads up.

The place looks wonderful and the menu had a good variety for lunch. We got there mid-afternoon and there were several tables occupied. We got our order in and it came fairly fast. My fish was good as were my onion rings. My wife had ordered her sandwich on wheat, but it came on white which my wife did not notice at first. Meanwhile, the waitress disappeared for a good portion of the time we ate. She came by with water, filled my glass, and only had a little left which she poured into my wife's glass and then disappeared again. When she brought the bill, my wife asked her about the sandwich (she had eaten half) and the waitress checked with the new chef and he or she had grabbed the wrong bread. She offered to have the half remade, but we declined. No other remedy was offered.

Visiting from out of State and chose to eat here since the reviews were pretty good. Plenty of attitude from the waitstaff. Small options for alcoholic drinks (no drink menu & waitress seemed agitated when asked what was available). Potstickers were tasty. Calamari was honestly amazing! Chicken fried chicken was dry, the “gravy” was thin and flavorless. Several of us got the mashed potatoes and they were okay, tiny portion.

I had dinner at Riverhouse in Pulaski, NY this evening, 7/19, and in view of the 4+ rating on this site, I was horribly disappointed. I've had a few Moscow mules in the past, tonight I had the worst one I've ever had including the first one I made myself. The scallops were rubbery and overcooked, The asparagus had not been trimmed, so the bottom third was inedible. The brussels sprouts were steamed in some sort of a vinegar, while they were prepared correctly, the flavor was off-putting. The waitress was friendly, her solution to my bad drink was ice and grapefruit juice. Not we'll replace it and try again. On the brighter side, our appetizer was very good, as was the applesauce my companion had with dinner. Neither, by its self or together was worth the $80 we paid.

While traveling me and my family came in yesterday for lunch... and let me just start by saying the only reason I am giving two stars is because of the lovely lady at the bar who greeted us. As soon as she sat us the waitress immediately seems annoyed by our arrival.(Mind you we were the only table.) While attempting to make small talk about how beautiful to atmosphere was she cut us off twice to ask about what we wanted to drink. Which I found rude. Then was snippy when answering questions for us about the menu. I took her advice and went with a sandwich that come out tasting horrible. Bacon is way undercooked, pork was dry, and onion strings were either still uncooked or had sat a while. Now normally I would eat it anyway and not say a word but of course upon telling her this nicely she continued to act rude. I'm sorry but we will never be back.

The food was decent, but expensive, the two of us wound up buying a small yet costly order and sharing it betwixt us in order to eat a whole meal. Adding onto that, the servers were patronizing, snobbish, and the service was slow, leaving us waiting 45 minutes for the burger plate and salad we ordered. While my husband and I enjoyed what we ordered, we will not be returning.

The appetizer and salad was good when we finally got them. The filet tips were burnt on the outside. Our waitress had a great attitude even though she had to waitress and bartend. Being short staffed on a busy night, not good. A bit pricy and our friend was still hungry when we left.

Got the Tuscan shrimp and seafood platter and French onion soup. The seafood platter came with a dried out piece of haddock 2 shrimp and 2 scallops for 30$. Didn't even eat the haddock it was so bad. Ordered the tuscan shrimp which name and description was very misleading because it arrived a Alfredo. Instead of just shrimp tossed in linguine. Absolutely awful. Sent it back then got the coconut shrimp and that was the only worth thing we'd gotten. French onion Soup was subpar.

The waitress was basic and short with conversation. The food was bland and the portions were smaller then i thought they would be. My husband ordered Brussels sprouts for a side and they were dryer than tin roof on a summer day. Mini oil lamps on tables werent even lit for dinner session. I was cold during my whole meal. The waitress never checked on until she brought us our check. The breading on seafood platter was the best part. My husband and I had to add salt and pepper to all of our food due to it being flat tasting. The restaurant was clean and the music was pleasant.

First time back this season and found the food to be less than good. Stuffed pork option was dry, chicken Parm over cooked and the chicken piccata dish was not true piccata, no sauce just pan fried chicken with a few slices of lemons and capers. No water served. Service was decent though. We likely won't return.

Food was delicious, however for $26 and over an hour weight from the time we were seated until we got our food left a sour taste in my mouth. Very small portions at least on the Brioled Sole Oscar, very good, but not a lot of food. Don't come here if you're in a hurry. The Bill for my four family members and I was over $140, so be warned.

Been in place 3 times in past 18 months.. Have yet to sit down and order what I would like for dinner.. Every time I get same answer.. We are out of that..at 5 30 pm.. And we are talking Friday or Saturday night . Totally pathetic.. Then I settled for what they had. It was all ice cold and both our meals had to be sent back.. Save your money .. It's not worth it.. And update.. Was told they could not serve me a rare prime rib cause they would have to make it med. Rare cause they can't serve a rare prime rib and keep it hot.. What a joke.. Have never had problem with getting warm prime rib in my life and rare.. Save your money..its really pathetic.. Finally got warm rare prime rib.. Wow...at least well done.. Don't worry i won't be back for mote reviews.

If I could give 0 stars I would! Made a Valentine’s Day reservation and they lost it but okay whatever we’ll wait for a table to open up. More and more people came in and were seated before us, finally someone came over and said well there’s no guarantee you’ll get a table. So you know what! We left! And went to the Bib/Mexican side restaurant right down the road, we got a table right away and had an absolutely amazing time! So here’s your take away from our experience at the Riverside restaurant, Don’t go! And head to the Bib for an actual amazing time and delicious food!!

We showed up to the restaurant at 630pm with a group of 7 and we were turned away for the night saying “They weren’t taking any groups larger than 6 for the night.” When I asked why he couldn’t at least take our names down if a larger table opened up, I was met with an attitude from the host. Too bad, looks like a nice restaurant. I don’t normally write reviews, but felt inclined due to the host’s response. 7/22/2021.

Ordered the smoked prime rib, waitress said it was delicious and very tender. It was undercooked and tough, I could barely cut it with a steak knife. I had to send it back to the kitchen and ordered the chicken parm for $18, one small chicken patty with sauce and cheese, I have to say it was good, but very small portion for $18. Sides were diced butternut squash and asparagus, portion size on both were very small, 3 pieces of asparagus and an oversized tablespoon of the diced squash. My son order the pasta and mussles, said it tasted like low tide and didn't finish it. Overall very disappointed, the curbside appeal of this place is that it's fine dining, but it's anything but that. They did credit the prime rib off the bill, I had only two bites.

Went to dinner while on vacation with my husband and another couple. We were really looking forward to eating there as their online presence looked promising. We were seated pretty quickly the waitress was originally super sweet. My husband and myself had margaritas which tasted of all base and no liquor. My friend and I both ordered the ribeye which is a 32$ meal however when it arrived hers was wildly undercooked and mine was not only very thin but wildly overcooked I also had the Brussels sprouts and mashed and my friend order the mashed and coleslaw. My Brussels were black burnt and the mashed potatoes lacked any flavor and were lukewarm. We asked to have our steaks re-fired and were told it would be a “long wait” or we could eat it as is. We opted to have the steaks re cooked. Our husbands both had and ate their meals which were bland and massively overpriced. Our server then brought back the same sides on plates covered with blood and cold. After 25 min I asked to just pay for the sides so we could leave as our spouses had already finished eating. The waitress was extremely rude and said that “Wouldn’t happen as then they’d be out 60$”. They came back approximately 5 min later and threw our steaks at us and to go boxes clearly we’d worn out our welcome. Two minutes later the waitress whose attitude changed drastically threw the bill at us. We checked our steaks mine was supposed to be medium rare came out RAW and my friends who was supposed to have hers medium had hers RARE. WORST experience ever! Our bill which was over 100 dollars for two meals and three drinks wasn’t worth the time or effort of going there.

We took a chance on this restaurant based upon pictures and reviews, as we were passing through this area. Upon entering we noticed the bar seating area with empty booths. The host/manager came up to seat us. We were walked through a dining area with plenty of empty tables yet we were brought into what they call their “banquet room” which was completely empty. I think since we had been sitting there maybe 3 parties were sat in the main dining room. Started to wonder if perhaps maybe being a person of color in a predominantly white area, might have had something to do with adjacent seating. I did try to let that go. We were greeted by our server Megan. We ordered a round of drinks. My wine glass came out with a considerable amount of lipstick on the glass. Not a huge deal. I’ve been a server for 15 years, it’s understandable with glass ware. We asked politely for a new glass. She came out with a new glass that was clean from lipstick but was even dirtier than the first. I believe there was even food stuck to it. By this point I didn’t even care and downed my wine. Whatever. We ordered potstickers for an appetizer and they weren’t anything fancy but they were tasty. Not once did she ask how it was before we were brought our mains. Filet tips with Caramelized mushrooms & onions, mashed and a side of Brussels sprouts. We asked for a side of the street corn(one of the main reasons we came) apparently they did not have it this evening. The Brussels sprouts were hard in the middle and the mashed potatoes were lack luster with no butter. I ordered the eggplant parm. Taste was great except there was barely any sauce on the plate. She asked us now if we needed anything but never once asked how everything was tasting. I’m not sure if I was profiled from the beginning or she was not expecting a tip. Although I never tip under 20% , we were quite upset with the service experience. We then told her we had our dog outside with us and we would need a box. Still NEVER asking how everything was. I think more we were disappointed in the service than anything. Almost like she was trying to rush us out of there. Maybe being a server I’m a little biased. If a table of mine was in a rush I would make sure everything was to their liking and do my best to enhance their experience short or not.

I won't fault the owner for this disaster, the "chef" should have know NOT to let our meals leave the kitchen! I ordered half rack of ribs that came out so tough and dry I had to cut the meat off with a steak knife, my wife's prime rib sandwich was nothing but gristle. So much for quality control. Also rice pilaf is not minute rice with a few canned veggies thrown in.
