Aroi Rhinebeck Reviews
We loved Aroi Thai! We sat outside and enjoyed a salad, veggie spring rolls, and crispy kale entree with salmon, then the coconut ice cream and pumpkin custard with sticky rice. All the food was phenomenal and our server was super friendly. Highly recommend!
Incredible food - got the kale chips, squid salad and massaman curry, with the Thai coconut ice cream. Great service and lovely interior. Many gluten free options.
I only had a light lunch here, but the food was wonderful! The bao buns with pork belly and spicy yuzu sauce were delicious. The pork was nicely grilled. The sauce added some sweetness and heat. The buns were soft and fresh. The tom yum soup delivered an amazing and intense flavor. The Thai iced tea pairs well and balances the sourness of the soup. The service was great and the restaurant was clean. Would recommend!
What a find!! Having been to many thai restaurants, This one is top of the list ! Sunday Afternoon lunch, no wait, delicious food, huge servings. The absolute best pineapple fried rice I've ever had, sweet and sour shrimp was perfection. Not salty or greasy. Photos of our entrees. Will be back whenever we're in Rhinebeck. Service was also excellent.
Always always always a great meal. I’ve dined in and done take out and it’s incredibly consistent. Try any of their fried tofu dishes. I like starting with tofu Tod. Their standards are always a must. But you don’t want to miss out on the Crispy Kale (try it with Duck or Thai Pork Sausage). And sit outside when it’s nice in their cute garden seating.
Had a lovely date night at aroi. The food and atmosphere were amazing. Traditional Thai food that warms the soul. The curry is out of this world. I will be going back for the Thai iced tea alone. Rhinebeck has a lot to offer for window shopping as you are walking off a delicious meal as well. Highly recommended. Chris@ North East Ford
The best Thai food around! My little family adores this place! We never go in but we always order take out. Usually weekly! When I want "cozy" comfort food, this is it! Our top favorite is the Red Curry with chicken, chicken pad thai, fresh shrimp rolls, mee krob (with the yum mango its delicious), yum mango, the buns they've had recently, tofu tod and their thai ice tea! Everything is flavorful and delicious. The people who own this place are awesome and friendly. One thing I do want to point out to the owners is I've noticed within the past month the fresh rolls have a different smell to them. I can't pinpoint it but I think it may be the rice noodle. I'm not sure If you have changed the type or brand but we definitely prefer the older recipe. I didn't notice any smell to it then. My husband doesn't mind tho!! LOL! We are so thankful you guys are local. See you soon!
This is a cute little Thai restaurant in town. What I like about the food is that you can adjust the heat or spiciness of the food. Thai food doesn’t taste well when it’s bland without any heat I ordered a Kra Prow with white Rice. The staff was friendly and attentive. Good food. There is an outdoor sitting area as well.
Average restaurant. Decent taste but I had ordered a meal with chicken and it was dry and also had very few pieces but the sauce saved the meal, and the vegetables like the carrot and onion are a little undercooked but I don’t really mind that. The only problem is that the potatoes are undercooked as well. Not a great deal considering how much you’re paying with average quality. The massaman curry has good flavor though
Good atmosphere, friendly staff, the food was average, not bad not great. Prices were ridiculous for the small portions. Moo Nam Tok grilled pork salad $20 for mostly iceberg lettuce and shredded carrots with literally 7 thin slivers of pork. Chicken Pad Thai was the best dish but spread thinly over a plate that was again 1/3 shredded carrots $21. Green curry tastes like diluted mae ploy mixed with sweet coconut milk $23. Sticky rice was way overcooked. In my opinion, really quite poor value. I guess you're paying to feel like you're in some kind of new age massage parlor??
I wish I could say the food is average, that would be generous. I would say this is the weakest Thai food I have eaten anywhere in the USA for over 2 decades Nothing tasted well, chopping and prep style was below par and it seemed they just throw in whatever comes to mind. Veggies half cooked or uncooked. Tom yum soup with no lemongrass. Flavoreless shrimp and chicken. The only item reasonably good was the papaya salad. Not sure what is going on - staff seems authentic, food not so much. .
Curry is ok, but the portion of the Tom Yum soup(shrimp) ~$20, is just…. funny? ?? Tofu Tod is just precooked frozen food from Asian supermarket, and tinny portion too. Even the high end Thai foods I ate don’t come with portions like that.
