Nora’s Tacos Sabinal Reviews
I have been going thru Sabinal for 19 years, 1st ten always stopping here for tacos, last 9 driving right by. We finally decided to stop at the "new to us" restaurant they built. Their tacos were just as good as they have always been. I reconmend if you are going thru Sabinal give them a try, you wont be disappointed. PS.. dont speed thru Sabinal
Stopped here for a quick breakfast on my way to Del Rio from San Antonio. To see it from the outside I wasn't expecting what was inside. Very nice and rustic! And clean. The servers were all so friendly and helpful. And the food? The tacos were big and fat! Delicious! I had a potato and egg and a bean and cheese. If I would have known how big they were I would have only gotten one or the other. I most definitely will stop again.
I’m Cuban and it was my first time eating at Nora’s Tacos. The experience was excellent: the food was fresh and delicious, and the place felt super cozy and original. Two very kind, friendly, and patient people attended me, which made me feel very comfortable. Without a doubt, I’ll be coming back, and I highly recommend this restaurant!
I recently dined at your restaurant and was thoroughly impressed by the entire experience. The breaded tilapia was absolutely delicious, with a perfectly crispy exterior and tender, flavorful fish inside. The fajita tacos were equally outstanding, bursting with savory spices and fresh ingredients that made each bite a delight. The service was top-notch, with the staff being attentive, friendly, and efficient. Their great hospitality made us feel welcomed and well taken care of throughout our meal. Overall, the combination of delectable food and excellent service made for an unforgettable dining experience. I look forward to returning soon!
Ate at this restaurant on Saturday morning and Memorial Day. The outside facing the street makes the place look somewhat rough. However, the main restaurant is behind this facade. All wood table and chairs which appear hand made. Great cuisine, wonderful food and young lady taking care of us did a fantastic job. 5 of us ate and all were impressed with food and prices. Highly recommend.
While visiting the area for Memorial Day weekend, my son-in-law Pedro took us for breakfast at Nora’s Tacos. The food was very good, freshly made & served hot. My husband & grandson’s tacos were very good and generous in size! Prices were also very reasonable and service was excellent! Will definitely go again when passing through town.
I drove here late on a Friday for some variety because I had been eating at the same place all week. Inside was very nice and the waitress was exceptional. She brought my drink plus the chips & salsa right out. The chips are a very thick variety but were tasty. They were a nice change from the "usualness" you get from most Mexican restaurants. The salsa was a mild green sauce that also stood out from the crowd of tomato based salsas. This was my first time here and the waitress wasn't hesitant to make suggestions about what to try. I decided on the Beef Fajita Nachos. She even suggested I get half an order because the plate was so large...I didn't listen. LOL 😂 I figured if I didn't eat them all, I could take the rest home. They were great but I thought the beef could have been more tender and tastier. I even got an excellent piece of carrot cake to go. Would I go back? That is a definite yes! This is a special place. 😊
Huge breakfast taco menu and they will make you whatever combination you want. The downside that I didn't realize was the cost of making those tacos how I wanted, $20 for two tacos and a drink. The tacos were just okay, I got chicarron on one and it was literally crunchy chicharron out of the bag, not cooked soft as you would expect. The waitress was super nice and attendant, the food didn't take too long to come out. I'll try them again but next time just getting basic tacos.
I grew up in San Antonio and know poor and great texmex. Her tacos mabe great, however the migas breakfast plate (not on the menu) was thesecond worst i have ever had !! I asked for with chorizo (which makes it the best!!) .. everybody knows migas comes with reduced peppers and onions None in this... queso .. none in this... it was mostly almost burnt chips abd maybe two small eggs..
Stopped at Noras and ordered 2 breakfast tacos. 1 Bean Bacon and Cheese and 1 Chorizo Potato and Bean. The bill was around $11+ some change. When we got in the car the bean bacon and cheese had no bacon except 5 little peices. Went in to ask for some bacon and the cook came out and said that was bacon and they would not add anymore said we should have asked for Xtra bacon. Mind you the 5 little bacon bits was an Xtra $1.50. They where rude and whn my said we would never eat there again the cook said good. Well good we wont!
Wouldn’t even rate one star. Stay away from this place! Cheapest quality meat. Told waitress's and I guess they’re all trained there to say well you’re the first person that’s complained… ordered a $12.99 burger for my little one as they have only one option for kids meal was enchiladas and he doesn’t like Mexican food and he said the meat tasted really weird so I taste it and I couldn’t even finish the bite. Meat was tough and just outright disgusting! I was terrified he would get sick because it didn’t taste right at all and doesn’t even look like hamburger meat.. it looked microwaved . I’d have a fast food burger any day over this place. Save your money. Go to DQ or BK! I’ve read multiple reviews of people having the same complaints about their meat and when they say something the staff is very rude and refuses to do anything about it. Coming from a successful family business you should most of the time always treat the situation as the customer is always right and I’ve never been treated so rudely!!!! Nora herself. Take a little pride in your business. Make your customers want to come back and try something else. They have the attitude they don’t need your business. Was extremely let down by this place! You should all be ashamed of yourselves. I guess people go there because it’s the only restaurant.
My wife and I stopped today for breakfast on our way to the river We ordered 5 tacos. Bean and bacon, bean and chorizo, barbacoba, two carne quisada, one with cheese, the cheese was a slice of plastic wrapped cheese. Then the bill, 35 dollars for this. Last time I eat there. That was ridiculous.
The food is good. The pricing isn't. I've had good experiences here in the past. Not anymore. I always use to get the bacon & potato tacos. Deciding to try something different, which is the bacon & egg tacos, is no crime. & because of that she wanted to rip me off! I can imagine being charged for 3 different sides, but for 2 sides, & pay an outrageous price is ridiculous! I think the best thing to do or for anyone to do who likes saving a buck is to go to the other side of town, called Diana's place, if they're open. Just wish they were open more often. It's a yellow taco stand on the left if your going towards Uvalde. I've never paid more than 21.00 or 23.00 for tacos, 35-40.00 at Nora's is ridiculous. Even Julio's bar & grill in Uvalde beats this place! I like the restaurant. & I have enjoyed coming here in the past. I have finally decided to give this place up forever. She's not getting my business anymore! Sorry Nora.....
Came here from out of town to eat and got the cheese enchiladas w/ rice and beans and it was absolutely terrible. We waited 10 minutes for a straw. We ordered queso and it was gross the cheese in it would constipate you for a month. Do not recommend unless you want to go just for sweet tea. You couldn’t even dip the chips in the queso. The cheese enchiladas tasted way worse than the microwaved ones.
