This KFC location is one of the cleanest KFC's I have ever visited in the Valley! Their chicken is always cooked to perfection, their dining room is always spotless and the employees are very friendly and attentive too. Any time I'm in San Benito, I frequently love to stop by this KFC location.

I cannot attest to how it looked inside. I only ordered the chicken sandwich supposedly made to order. I went through the drive through and had to wait about 5-10 minutes for my order. However the sandwich was hot and crispy and flavorful. 9/10. Better than church’s sandwich.

Its a KFC. That said, we eat here 1 or 2 times a week and it's decent most of the time. Staff is friendly and accommodating most of the time and food is consistent. It's good.

Ordered take out. The fried chicken was good. And the coleslaw and biscuits are still the best.

But we were in the parking lot, we had just purchased what-a-burgers,right next door, we didn't want to eat in dining area,we saw a nice shade under a tree in the KFC lot, we do like KFC, but not today, besides we had coupons for burgers, $$$ is tight ,there it is ,later's !

Got the 12 peice.. it was fresh. Exactly what I wanted.

The employees were very cold, with no emotions just there. The chicken recipe was not the same as what I remember very different.

My second visit was as good as the first and I just love this place. Good food and good service. Was in and out with no problem and food was good. Staff were on point and I didn't have to leave with question marks above my head. Good job, guys! Keep up the good work!!

The fried chicken was amazing. I often go to Church's for fried chicken, but they were out and we had coupons for KFC so we decided to try it and we definitely plan on eating here again. Unfortunately, due to lack of supplies, crispy chicken wasn't available for our entire order, so we had to get some pieces done with the original recipe, but both were leagues better than Church's. The cashier also had a sour attitude, but it may have been due to poor management as a man yelled at her from the back in the middle of our order.

The food at this restaurant is good. The interior is always clean. They offer free WiFi but only one table has a power outlet and there WiFi never connects properly.

Chicken looked reheated. We waited for someone to attend for about 10 minutes. They took the chicken that was sitting on plates to the back. We waited for 15 minutes. The crust was falling off.

It really needs a good cleaning! The food is good but the floor looks gross, the restrooms need repair, soda machine is sticky and splashes when you serve yourself so where an apron in order to do any self serve there!

It’s too sad that San Benito KFC has lousy service, always gives you an incomplete order, phone line always busy! It’s always bad service! I went several times thinking they’ll probably give a better service next time but sorry they haven’t improved.

We through drive thru got the 16 pieces bucket meal. $40. Only to get home and the chicken is over-fried. Almost to the point where it’s black. Even the grease was black color. Called and called only to get no answer or a busy tone. Felt rushed in drivethru. Giving three stars only because the Mac/cheese and the mashed potatoes are good.

Straight out from work. 30 minute wait for 2 pot pies, and not golden brown the center - white, chicken alittle tough, not tender. 😥 Maybe needed another 5 minutes. Suggest call in order and hopefully, golden brown to my liking next time. 😴

They didn't have chicken available. Was a 20-30 minute wait. Come on..... You have one major goal serve chicken. Breading on the chicken was falling off like they rushed it or was missing something. Disappointed but with the coupon was great value. We liked the flavor so that salvaged a three star.

I try to support my local Kentucky fried in there pretty good it's a little busy tonight but there's no reason to lie I went to the drive-thru ordered the special chicken sandwiches to 46 the lady that drives you said we're out I said we can wait. She said no we are completely out of fillets. But I've dealt with this here before when inside ordered the sandwiches and we're able to get them. I spoke to the manager and he was just like oh they're in the freezer and they're this well they're always Frozen and cooked in the fryer it takes about 8 minutes I told the manager was very polite but like you know there's no reason to lie just. Poor service. If corporate or owner reads these you know this is a common situation in the Rio grande valley. Unfortunately

Ordered #7 meal. Original. All White. Mashed potatoes and Gravy.. Told young man to give my biscuit to someone else as I dont like biscuits.. got Order home..20 minutes later and it was all dark meat.. 2 thighs and 1 wing. Please check your orders before you leave restaurant so this does not happen to you...

We purchased dinner for family. Chicken was horrible all brown looking seemed fried twice over and no one enjoyed it!! How can they sell such un-edible food to humans??

They always have excuses for not having chicken original or crispy and either dark or white meat...they need Better Management all around.

We come here often, and let me tell you this store always has waiting time , on either chicken, wings ,or biscuits. 😂 Like literally waited 30 mins for our chicken.. smh . literally every time we come here there's a wait on something.

Went for lunch. 2 piece meal. This did not taste like the kfc original recipe. The taste was not what it use to be. The chicken was salty and greasy.

Very bad food, bad service, they passed us overcooked chicken from the day before as well as dry popcorn and almost blackened fries, it tasted like old oil, don't go there in the afternoon! bad food! Kentucky San Benito not good at all...

Good is always cold and old. Never again. I never learn my lesson. Always have to travel out of town to get good fresh food

This place constantly forgets to give you biscuits and are ALWAYS making you park on the side in the drive thru. They are now only putting 1 gravy instead of 2 when you get 2 large mashed potatoes and they are forcing you to get the coleslaw even though you dont want it. "We dont let you change the sides anymore."

Food was okay, good fries. My food was served on a filthy tray.

I had the three-piece Big dinner box, with a Pepsi, easy Ice. They forgot the EZ ice. The biscuit is rock hard. The Mac and cheese was old mixed with new, and the old is not good to eat. Very disappointed!

Another bad review which I try not to do as often but if I do it's to let people know of the lack of service. KFC San Benito had a few negatives, we had dinner there at 7pm the chicken we got was hard as if it had been there for a while. Food area was a mess food over the cooking area not clean at all, we had to literally wait 10 minutes for some corn because instead of them noticing they were starting to run low and begin making more ahead of time they waited last minute. Drink machine was not functioning correctly, I don't enjoy carbonated drinks so I was hoping to find any type of fuirt punch or teas they can those options but everything was coming out without flavor more like watered down flavor. I let them know but no one came to fix it or put a sign for others to know. Frankly wasn't satisfied with their service. The place was clean around tables and dinning area, spacious hardly any customers.

Well I didn’t know chickens had three legs, and only one wing, I guess that’s what you get in a bucket of eight pieces, also I ordered original and I ended up with crispy, they just put in the bucket whatever they have, Old chicken that they cooked up at noon time

I came on Saturday 12/21/19 @ 9:17 pm and it was close, but the sign said they close at 10:30 pm so the definitely need to change there sign to the right time and even on the website it said that they were open.

Horrible customers service! Chicken was not cooked all the way! I love KFC but now visiting this KFC i wont ever go back!! Manager didnt even acknowledge me when i was telling him they got my order wrong! Then they corrected my order and chicken was not cooked all the way. We were defiantly not satisfied. As we left we saw 3 diffrent orders taking there chicken back. Thank you san benito staff i will never go to KFC agin!

Order online. Order was supposed to be ready at 8:20pm. Wasn't ready till 9pm. They had me waiting in drive tru forever For sure the worst KFC I've been to.

Kfc never is fully stocked. They forget to add everything you order and pay for and when you call to tell them about it the manager in charge speaks to you as if you are dumb.never again sorry san benito

I showed up here to this facility around 8 PM and they had a door shut a close according to the timeline it doesn't happen until 10 PM. They told me they didn't have enough employee that they didn't want to clean up the facility that's the reason why they have it close and locked.

My fries were refried weren’t even crispy just super hard and chewy asked for a spicy chicken sandwich and got it super cold and not Spicy always something with this place 🤦‍♂️

I arrived to the facility and the doors were closed 8:30am. No one approached the door. So disappointed! The close hour sign stated that that lobby closes at 10pm.

We ordered at 8:42pm and we got our food at 9:10pm. If my husband wouldn't have gone inside we would still be waiting. Extremely bad customer service. This is not good at all. The girls we talking away and attending to the other customers while we sat and waited by the curb! This is unacceptable!

Original chicken was very salty, dry, hard, cold. Mashed potatoes and gravy cold. When u don't c cars in parking lot, place is usually not good, so true.

I come to this location because it is the closest to my house... I am a business owner and I know what bad customer service is... I have come here many many times and thought maybe it was just the staff that was here at the time I came... NO!!! customer service is horrible they never have what is on the menu.. tonight I went by and I waited 45 minutes outside in drive through for two pieces of chicken breast... and I had to ask the lady to make it she didn’t offer... and it was only 8 o clock... I can understand if it was close to closing no problem... but come on!!! Someone needs to supervise these people closer!!!

Omg Worst food and I drove thru..was here from out of town was only 700pm. They didnt have sevral items and then at window said no Bisucits too. Offere Pie..fine. well got home with 1pc dinner for myself & aunt and that chicken pcs legit looked like was soaked in oil refriend to give to me! I would have gonr back to return but didnt have time. Horrible. This location needs some QUALITY Control!!

KFC is not delicious anymore in the RGV. It is dry and tasteless. They all taste the same in the RGV. They have business because people are unaware of the lack of flavor. You can order and original and crispy piece of chicken. No difference.

Just awful went today to grab some dinner. My 3 piece combo was disgusting pieces were dry as hell, over fried and biscuits were rock hard. My Dr Pepper drink was watered down had to throw it away. I ate because I was hungry but did not eat all the chicken threw the last piece away. What a waste of money, couldn't believe I spent $28.00 dollars on three meals never going back again.

Quality has dropped terribly. The last 2 times I went the fries were overcooked, barely warm and soggy. The chicken sandwich was overcooked and tough. I used to like this location. Won't be going back again.

This is the worst KFC I’ve ever been to. The chicken was hard, dry and not fresh at all. We ordered drinks and received the drinks with no ice. When I asked about the ice, the cashier said “sorry” and closed the window.

The men's restroom was disgusting. No soap, no paper towels and stunk like urine. the workers were standing around when they could have been cleaning. The whole place could have used a good cleaning.

Arrived at 9:40pm and was told that the chicken would take 20 minutes to be ready. I told them that the restaurant closes in 20 minutes. It’s not right that the employees start cleaning the place up and stop preparing food way before they close. They should have some food ready to go before they close and not have the client wait for 20 minutes because they ran completely out.

Horrible customer service. Last couple of times I went, the person taking the order took forever to help me out through drive-thru. They were rude and had to repeat myself several times between long wait times inbetween. Then after that, on each visit they told me it would be a 25 minutes wait time. They are rude, unprepared and lack customer service skills.

Worst place ever I was at the counter for 20 minutes not one employee came and acknowledge me and my family so we had to leave elsewhere to look for another place to eat where we were acknowledged. The staff had no customer service after asking if someone was going to attend to us, they looked as if we were speaking a foreign language, and didn’t understand what we were saying aside from the place, being dirty and greasy….. never again

If I could give them zero stars I would. Worse kfc I have ever been too. Ice cold fries and all the manager could say was I am sorry about that, when I used to work in fast food I would compasate for there order so the customers would keep coming back. No empathy.

First and last time I will stop at this location. Placed a very simple order and took 30 mins for me to receive. Order was wrong had to wait another 20 mins to get my food once more. Atfer 50 mins of waiting I didnt even wanna eat my meal. I dont understand how a work crew of 6 cant habdle a simple order. I understand there may be wait time but make sure the order is correct before giving it out.

TERRIBLE service. The employees were not friendly or helpful. There was trash on the floor and none of the tables were cleaned. They forgot several items on our order and never apologized. Love KFC but wouldn't go back to this one.

For the last 3 times in the last two weeks the KFC did not have chicken pot pies. Left out two fried apple pies for the order. Did not get drinks with meals as advertised on menu. Got an order wrong on two occasions. Supervisor over watch desperately needed.

Got a order to go meal for the $30 special they had get home and chicken Is super soggy and old call the restaurant and the lady wants to argue that all her chicken is fresh I even offered to send her a picture of the nasty food I got said no and then she said to take it back to get it switched out.. poor customer service!!! The worst service! They don't answer their phone, so you have to go all the way to the restaurant just to find out there an hour away from closingAlief clothingAnd they're already refusing to serve you food because they claim they're already out of it.I wanted a 16 piece for my familyAnd then they proceeded to tell me they have no sides no biscuits no nothing.

Very disappointed. The oil that was used for the chicken was old and left the chicken greasy. The biscuits had also been left out and they were hard and dry. I rarely eat here, but know I never will.

They are always out of pot pies! Really? If you know coupons are put out in the paper, then you have to have them available! It's why we drive to Harlingen KFC! We gave it a try in San Benito, to keep the business here, but when they're out and order something else only to get home and find out they gave you the wrong order. Wow! So disappointed! This is the 2nd time the San Benito location has messed up my order after I confirmed my order with the staff. The first time an item was missing and the order was taken by a manager. Today an item I wanted in my order was switched by some other side. Easy to say call and report it. I don't exactly live close by to go get a corrected order. Thanks alot, KFC!

My husband and I both got sick after eating their food. Chicken looked like it had sat under the warming lights too long. It had a smell of old oil. Do not recommend.

The food its very bad, the food is very dry looks like left overs. This twice has happened, The cashier at drive thru its very Rude she doesn't have any experience on providing customer services. You ask for something they give totally different item. Also they did not provide me a recipe for my payment. This twice happens. If i could give them half star i would give them but unfortunately 1 star is lowest. Stay away from this place.

There is something suspicious in that place because they do not give a receipt and when they return the card they tell you that they did not charged something you asked for and you have to give it to them again so that they charge that was "missing". They did that to me and I didn't have the precaution of askin for the receipt to check, they are doing something with that practice. One fo them took home a free chicken pot pie. The pot pie had huge pieces of chicken, it was leftover fried chicken and they were very hard.

How can I give them negative stars. This place is always making excuses on why they don't have an item. And the management doesn't care if they help customers or not. This place is trash and should be replaced with a caring business that wants to keep customers.

I ordered two 10 for $10s via drive-thru window and was told they didn't offer them anymore. I stated, "Ok whatever, just give me 20 dark pieces". The girl taking my order replied, "I don't like your attitude m'am". I told her to just give me the 20 pieces thinking that I would just speak to her at the window about her rudeness. When I drove to the window, I stated my disappointment and frustration with her customer service, and asked for her name. She replied that it was Rebecca. I told her I wanted to speak to her manager and was told that Mayra (store manager) wouldn't be in until the next day. I spoke with the shift manager (Tony, I believe) that the girl shouldn't be attending customers with "her attitude". He then tells me that I can't order 20 pieces because they all come with meals, lol. I let him know that their service sucks and that's probably why everyone prefers Harlingen's KFC. Very poor customer service in San Benito... would not recommend this place ever!

The service was awful they don't greet you when you come in and make you wait a long time to take your order. The short young girl was very rude and non polite she needs to be replaced or trained better in customer service the atmosphere is very uncomfortable, they need to improve on their customer service 100%.

San Benito KFC has been on a Huge decline in Food quality since Q2 of Last Year, I don't know if you guys got new employees or have new managers but The overall quality of the food has taken a big hit since 2019 and 2020. Every time that I've gotten chicken, tenders, or even the popcorn chicken in the famous bowl from here since April of 2021 it's either really dark and dry or taste of dirty old oil. I stayed away for KFC for a few months starting in October and last week I ordered it just to see if the quality has improved and was craving KFC. My tenders came out all dry and dark looking with my tender box again unfortunately. When I ordered the $20 fill up for my family a few times during 2021, each of the buckets that I've gotten there always had two dried up pieces of small unedible chicken in the bottom of the bucket usually consisting of drumsticks or a wing. Back then all the chicken was nice and white and very juicy and didn't come with unedible pieces of chicken, even the tenders were not dry. I was a very frequent customer so I know how it was supposed to taste. It's very unfortunate because this was my favorite place to get food From because it was cheap and very delicious. This place needs better management to improve the quality like how it used to be so I can come back to my favorite restaurant more frequently :( Edit: Fixed typos

This KFC is horrible in San Benito. I've gone multiple times where there's no chicken ready in the middle of the afternoon or in the evening time around 6:00 p.m. I can understand when it happens once maybe twice, but I've gone on at least five different occasions where I had to wait 15 minutes or more for chicken in the middle of the day.

I'd never had an awful experience with chicken like this one. Food was cold, chicken was like when you buy pre-cooked food and you put it into the microwave for two minutes. Fries also like they had cooked them in the morning and just had them in a heater. And all that joke costed me almost $20. Not coming back EVER. Thank you, and have a nice day.

Worst chicken I've had, very disappointed and more so because of the expensive prices and poor quality of food. The chicken crust was soggy, chicken undercooked, gravy was watery, biscuits were rock hard and Mac and cheese was soggy also. I tried calling back but my call was never picked up, just kept ringing until it hung up automatically. Live and learn. This was an expensive lesson, never doing KFC again.

I have dealt with clerks rudeness and wrong tea etc or wrong order but kept going back cause San Benito nearest one. The other nite i ordered 3 strip meal and unsweet tea. When she handed me tea...i said unsweet right? She got smart and mouthed at me that SHE made it. I told her i got sweet many times when clerk confirmed it was unsweet, so i wanted to ask. She went and got my food and almost tossed it at me. I told her if there was another KFc in this town i would go there. She said theres one in Harlingen and slammed sliding window in my face!!! I thought about parking and going in but figured when i spoke my piece...they would call cops!!!

Went thru drive thru and the ladies not so ladies behave as if they are doing you a favor. Laisha is one of them. They should shut down and bring a Cane's instead. Better service..better people.

Chicken was probably from day before, reheated. Is anybody listening. Do you not have record of your sales. Something is going on. Name & address of franchise owner?

Horrible service, I repeated my order multiple times at whoever was taking it 5 times to be exact, paid for it and they had me waiting over 20 minutes for a chicken sandwich combo and to top it off I was given Diet Pepsi for my drink they were rude and unprofessional. Drove up to order at 9:45pm and was told they had no more chicken as the vehicle in front of us had taken it all. They didn't even ask "what would you like". Instead of fulfilling their closing time of 10pm. Not even a sorry!! We wanted chicken stripes and pot pie

Had my order delivered... this was the nastiest chicken on the planet. One I ordered a dump stick and two thighs.. these people put 3 breast in my order. The chicken was dry and over salted. Worst chicken ever not to mention cold when it got to me. Very dissatisfied. Will not ever order from them again during my stay here

This location is always lacking. Staff is always standing around chatting not working. There's never any chicken even though the restaurant is literally dead. No customers. This has been going on at this San Benito Texas location for a few years with no change. Complaints to staff of gone unanswered, and with no change.

I am always in favor of supporting “local” businesses but KFC needs to serve higher quality chicken. I ordered a bucket of chicken and it was undercooked and the worst quality posssible, only thing I ate was my drink. One other time I tried a bowl and it had no flavor and the chicken strips were also awful. I am sure I will never go back.

Pulled up to the empty resteraunt at 7:30 pm. The sign was not lit , when worker asked to take my orde i asked if they were closed, she said no and was cut off by a male voice saying that a large party had taken all their chicken and the next batch would take 20 to 30 minutes. I acknowledged his statement and ordered a potpie. This time, the lady comes back on saying it would take 20 mins to be ready and asked if I wanted to wait. Why keep a resteraunt open if they dont want to sell any food. Horrible service horrible experience.

The line was non-existent and that should have been a red flag. Got my order which was quick and I saw that the chicken was cooked in really old oil. Gave the pieces really dark orange/brown color. It wasn't edible either. Chicken was so small, it wasn't how the usual size was. I would have mistaken it for Quail instead of chicken. Employees seemed pleasant tho. Chicken was quite warm so also having it sit under the heating lamps just added to the inedible mess it was. Somehow, I don't think this issue will be fixed. I'm not the only one that experienced the nasty taste of re-used and overworked oil.

Place was filthy dirty. Every table was dirty except one. The food was burned snd tasted old. Ended up throwing most away as it was hard as a rock. For being no customer other then my family place was dirty n food overcooked. Needs better management and staff

I've gone to this KFC location a few times, and normally their food is pretty good, but today was just horrible. I went through the drive thru and they almost forgot to give me half my order, so I had to correct that mistake pretty fast. We finally got our food - I ordered a number 9, 3 piece chick strip meal - and went home. The food was terrible. All 3 of my chicken strips were cooked so long I couldn't even bite through the chicken so I just ate around what I could. My fries, while fresh, were entirely too salty, and my drink (which was supposed to be a sweet tea) was nothing but a little bit of tea and water with no sugar. All in all, a complete waste of money.
