Jaguar Paw San Diego Reviews
Everything about this place is A+++ Immediately walking in the owner Alejandro greeted us and made us feel SO SPECIAL. Keep in mind the place was busy and he still took time to talk to us and walk us through the menu. Everyone on staff is amazing. They let us taste personal mezcal they had gotten from a recent trip to Mexico. It was amazing. I got the gimlet and it was to die for. The prickly pear margarita was a hit at the table. Totally come here for snacks or for a drink. Awesome date place as well!
I came here for my birthday and let me tell you it was an experience!!!!! The owners were very attentive and friendly, the music is awesome!!! I will be back for sure, thank you Alejandro!!!! ♥️ drinks are insanely good.
Great ambiance, tasty tapas style small plates with a bit of an Asian / Mexican twist, and excellent cocktails. Highly recommend!
A lovely find! Wonderful food and service. Not a full bar, but they put so much passion into their cocktails they do have. Would definitely recommend!
The Carajillo is one of the best drinks I’ve ever had. It’s a desert drink and just… wow! Fun spins tonight, though the wait on opening night is a bit.
We walked by and decided to stop in! Best decision. Had the margarita (prickly pear) and aguachile. Both were delicious. Will come back!!

Great cocktails, great vibes, and great food. I didn't see a lot of vegetarian food options, so I asked the server about any specials or options that could be adjusted not expecting anything tbh. To my surprise, they asked the chef and they made us the most amazing mushroom tostadas with a miso vinaigrette. So tasty and unique, it should be on their menu. This is a such a great spot.
Really smooth and inventive cocktails, the bartender did a great job explaining the different drinks they’ve created. The food was awesome too, the chef is from Mexico and he worked under some high end chefs down there. The crudo and the duck caviar dishes were so tasty! The decor is really well done too.
Had an amazing time. The service was great and Alejandro one of the owners gave us a great welcoming. Music was awesome and the vibes were phenomenal. I’m definitely going back for the oysters, super fresh! When coming to barrio, this is a must place to visit among the other great food venues in the area.
Such a cute spot. Came here for a date night I will be back for a girls night. The drinks are GOOD and so cute. The food is tapas style small portions. Very flavorful. The music was really good. Good spot for drinks and music
Incredible experience. The fish was exceptionally fresh, beautifully presented, and layered with flavor. The drinks were equally impressive, vibrant, well crafted, and complemented the food.
A cool little cocktail bar in Barrio Logan. We wanted to try something new and found this place. They serve natural wines, low abv cocktails and small bites to eat. The food and drinks were tasty and reasonably priced. The server didn’t know much about the wine selection, but overall it was still a good experience.
Chef Caesar knows what’s up. The balance of flavors & textures in his creations are an experience for the taste buds. The Mexican-fusion style blends are straight satisfying! Also, the ambience of the place is great & the service is on point. A+
Absolutely amazing spot. Its so unique and stylish. Alex (owner) has such amazing ideas and is so friendly. The staff if super friendly and knowledgeable. I feel like I'm hanging out with long term friends. I love the vibe, the food is out of this world and the drinks are something you can't get anywhere else. If you haven't been here.... you need to

A super cute bar, beautifully decorated for Christmas, with a fun seasonal menu. I loved the cozy and intimate vibe. While the drinks were quite weak, the food was excellent!
low abv cocktails and natural wine. the cocktails sounded interesting but were all missing something, probably since they can’t use spirits. waitress didn’t know anything about the natural wine from austria. has potential but at those prices, might as well go to a better cocktail/wine bar

The cocktails have low abv alcohol like Sony so not worth the price. Only seafood which alienated two people in my party. We lost our server for over 40 minutes. The decor is reminiscent of a 90’s coffee shop with fake flowers and fake stone made out of styrofoam. Live music was nice.
I enjoyed how the space was small and felt intimate. We got the tots poutine. They used sweet potatoes instead of potatoes, which although was good, kinda threw the balance off. I think it needed something salty. There was some roe but wasn’t enough. We also got the jingle juice which I think is a play on a paper plane. The drink arrived not as cold as it should have, and we think it needed more fresh citrus to balance. The place seemed understaffed - we had to wait some time to get our order taken and for our drinks and food to get made. I think we would have stayed longer and ordered more if the service was more timely. Overall the place was ok. We would come back again to try other cocktails and food.
I was excited to try a new craft cocktail bar in Barrio Logan, and I’m sharing this review in the hope that the place succeeds while making some necessary adjustments. When it comes to service, there’s a lot of room for growth. The staff is very friendly, but they are understaffed, leading to long wait times for food and drinks. The food was delicious, but the chef is overestimating the value of the dishes given the prices. Being in Barrio Logan, I wasn’t expecting to pay the kind of steep prices typically found in upscale dining. Unfortunately, the overall aesthetic and service don’t quite match the cost. For two people, our bill came to $177. That included four cocktails; with little to no alcohol and three snacks, which weren’t substantial enough to be considered full dishes. My Valentine’s scallop dish was tasty, but I would have preferred four actual scallops instead of one scallop sliced into pieces. The atmosphere was nice, and the bartender did a fantastic job. However, at this price point, they completely lost me. I’d rather go somewhere where I don’t have to wait 40 minutes for my snacks.

Im not sure how this place has such a high rating. Don’t get me wrong, the food was pretty good. But they are severely understaffed so even with a reservation we waited 30 minutes after sitting just to order drinks. They are also insane changing cocktail prices for a cup of juice! I know they don’t have their liquor license but just serve wine and beer until then. Hoping they succeed after they work out the kinks. But for now don’t bother. We spent so much and left hungry and sober lol
Had reservations during the holidays. Because I saw a decently produced little advert on Instagram. Arrived at the location to see not what we expected. We waited almost 30 minutes to be seated even though there was an open seat there the whole time. As we were being sat down someone was being asked to leave because they had been there too long and they needed to free up a table. That person cursed and said really we've just gotten our first round. We've been here for over an hour. Shortly thereafter the people next to us were on their phones. Googling other Christmas pop-ups in the area. Visibly upset. We sat there for 20 minutes debating not getting our drink order taken at which point we just got up and left.
