死んで天国に行った気分だ。 (Shinde tengoku ni itta kibun da.) “I feel like I died and went to heaven.” Try the Chicken Paitan Soy Sauce ramen—hands down the best ramen I’ve ever had the pleasure of eating. The balance of flavors is absolutely perfect. I went to bed without brushing my teeth just so I could savor them all night 🤪

Amazing atmosphere, amazing service, and even better Ramen! I love the snug space, and low lights with the buzzing atmosphere filled with dozens of voices, each in their own world. The food was the best, I love the Ramen here, and cant beat that Sapporo on Tap.

Got seated right away as a group of 4 at 6 pm on a Friday. Assume a 15-20 minute wait though. The signature ramen with the chicken leg is delicious! Split a spice ball on the side with someone. Creamy chicken broth and a nice flavor with the spice ball addition!

Nojo Ramen Tavern offers a cozy, laid-back vibe with rich, flavorful ramen that hits the spot without trying too hard. The broth is deep and satisfying, the noodles have a nice chew, and the toppings are fresh and well-balanced. Service is friendly and efficient, making it an easy go-to for a comforting bowl and a relaxed meal.

Best ramen experience I’ve had in SF! The chicken thigh was packed with flavor, even inside the meat (you know when it’s seasoned just right 👌). The broth was so rich and creamy, but perfectly balanced, not too salty and not too plain either. Everything came together so well, from the texture of the noodles to the depth of the broth. I left super satisfied and already craving it again. Definitely a spot I’ll come back to!

Oisii Ramen.😋 It was my first visit at Nojo Tavern and I had this Tan Tan Spicy Ramen. It hit the spot. I travel around and have different kinds of Ramen but Nojo’s Tan Tan is a really good one. The broth, thick noodles and Cilantro toppings was the best. It was my first time having ramen without Chasyu-Pork instead they have this Grounded chicken mixed with the broth which is more flavorful and delicious. This Ramen is the recommendation to people who love spicy flavor Ramen noodles. -Gochisousama Deshita🍜🍥

That bowl of ramen had amazing texture and good taste. I went with their specialty, which was the first time I've had a braised chicken thigh served in ramen. To be honest, the chicken was pretty bland and didn't elevate the dish. The broth was rich and delicious but not too heavy, and the karage was the highlight for me.

We got lucky with a quick seat here at Nojo, and it was at the bar where we saw the chefs do their thing in the kitchen. The open restaurant is a cool concept and always fun to see. The restaurant has a QR code that allows you to pay and take orders through their online app. It makes it convenient and helps with the flow of the restaurant. We ordered the popular items - Spicy Tan Tan, Soy Sauce Ramen and their half and half fries. Spicy Tan Tan had just enough kick to feel a burn but not enough to overpower. Very flavorful and rich. Highly recommend this dish. Soy Sauce Ramen felt lighter and had a more herbal taste which is great for those who want a lighter meal for the night. Half and Half fries are a must try. The truffle oil is incredible. Loved this restaurant. It felt very exciting being inside with it being so lively.

Excellent Raman noodles. Broth was tasty and not too salty. Shio paitan with chicken meatballs had good flavor and not overpowering. Tokyo style ramen was also legit with two slices of cha siu. I really like their appetizers, nanban chickens, fried calamari and gyoza were all delicious and hot when they were served. Went there at 5 pm without no wait, and the line got longer getting close to 6 pm on Thursday. Service was good with staff refilling our glasses with water several times on their own. This is a great quick eat close to concert hall and opera house. I will come back to try their other items on the menu.

Very good ramen. Hard to find chicken ramen and they do it so well! I’ve tried most of the menu and my favorite is the ground chicken ramen one. The chicken leg was good but not amazing. The tossed dry spicy noodles were yummy and had a good kick but were pretty dry to a point that they were hard to eat without needing to sip some water every few bites to remoisten my mouth. It was interesting but I much prefer the broth ramen dishes. Also liked the mentaiko rice bowl as a little appetizer

5.5 to 6. Shredded chicken ramen was good but not much chicken. Worth trying chicken leg ramen next time. Small salmon bowl wasn’t much meat, worth trying something else. Soy meat on the side was actually kind of good. Quick casual and good vibes, good for a quick dinner

Heard of this place and decided to try it out :) the chicken ramen is super nice and unique too! The environment is okay and the speed is fast. The broth is very creamy but not heavy!

Great ramen, super rich and thick broth with plenty of onions (maybe a bit too much). The noodles are toothsome. The chicken leg is tasty albeit a bit hard to eat. The surprise hit is the gyoza; the crispiest skin on a dumpling I’ve ever had. The half and half fries were alright. Try to snag a seat inside though, the ones at the door get a gust of wind every time someone walks in.

We got the chicken paitan and the spicy music ramen with the calamari to start. The calamari was crispy and fresh. Really good batter and a perfect size for 2. We loved both of our ramen orders. For a Saturday night, we barely had to wait. Joined the wait list at around 7:45 pm and were seated at the bar almost immediately. You get to watch the kitchen while seated at the bar. Each table and bar seat had a QR code where you can order. Saw the kitchen immediately work on our food and we were served quickly. Ended up with a $55 bill plus tax and tip. Proper SF pricing, but it was worth it.

I had a great experience when dining here. I was greeted and brought to the table. There is a QR code on the table so that everyone can order on their own with their own credit cards or you can all order at once on your phone. If you are sensitive to spiciness, make sure you put the oil and chili on the side so you can control how spicy you want your meal. If you want to order an item for to-go, make sure you let someone know so that they don't accidentally plate it. They were so nice and attentive when water was low and when we accidentally dropped our chopsticks haha. Thank you for your great service Mojo Ramen team.

I discovered this fabulous ramen spot during a recent brief visit to the Bay Area and haven’t been able to get it off my mind since; yes, it was that good. As a matter of fact, I would go so far as to proclaim it one of the best ramen experiences I’ve ever had on the West Coast. My lunch partner and I only tried a handful of menu offerings, but every single one if them was superlative and I recommend Nojo without hesitation. The Chicken Paitan Soy Sauce is astounding. No further description is needed. I spend moments every day here in Portland trying to concoct some crazy excuse to visit San Francisco as soon as possible, just so I can taste this perfection once more. Only drawback? They seem to be quite busy most of the time, so your patience may be required. Don’t despair though, as it will be well rewarded. A/A+

Seating was limited but was given a spot at the bar immediately. Very clean and well-kept, with a calm but busy dinner ambiance. Bathroom was very clean and spacious. I ordered the Tokyo ramen with chicken broth (I have a sesame allergy) and loved it, no issues. Broth could have been richer and karaage was a bit on the hard side (it could have been more chewy and melty on the inside). Overall a great spot for ramen! Recommended.

Excellent tomato ramen. Rare to see on a menu that isn’t for vegetarians. The beer and gyoza combo for $10 is a fantastic deal! The weizen beer is light and refreshing. Always crowded so space is a bit cramped and meant for a quick meal. Overall a great ramen spot for lunch or a quick dinner.

I was pleasantly surprised by this ramen restaurant because normally I like pork based broth and this restaurant has chicken based broth. In the signature ramen, the broth was flavorful and rich and the chicken meat was tender and juicy and huge too! Highly recommend! Add their house made spicy sauce for additional flavor. The chicken nanban is also a must get, I was so surprised at how juicy the fritters were and wanted to order another one for the table.

Not too many ramen choices on the menu. The chicken leg in the signature Soy Sauce Tori Paitan was tender and well-seasoned, the ramen broth was rich and delicious but salty. The texture of ramen noodles was a bit tough.

Overall disappointing. Seemed like a limited set of ramen options for a restaurant with ramen in its name. Nothing with beef. Ordered the Tokyo Ramen. Included pork slices were thin and exceptionally lean and dry. Broth wasn’t very flavorful. Only QR code ordering available seemed unnecessarily impersonal. $5 for hot tea and they apparently out of green and jasmine options. Wouldn’t think that would be difficult to source in SF.

Got the signature ramen and tantan ramen, this is overpriced mid ramen, if there’s a line (we waited for 50 min during dinner hours), skip this please. Not worth waiting for
