Chipotle Santa Cruz Reviews
The staff working tonight had Ana amazing sense of humor. Really grateful to see such a pleasant crew having fun while taking care of our orders quickly and serving quality ingredients. Happy Holidays! I’ll make sure to bring cash tips next time!!!
I came here for the first time because of their new menu: pollo asado, meaning grilled chicken. Some one told me this tasted like Szechuan spicy diced chicken… Indeed, it tasted really not bad! (While this is a seasonal dish.) The only reason I gave four stars is because the service was kinda slow… need to be patient and wait long time. Guess chipotle should learn from Panda Express.
Food is pretty good and tasty, service is fast and excellent; the girl was very helpful and polite. I wanted to try the new smoked brisket but there was none, also there was no ice in the ice machine. Store looks clean but could be much cleaner. You need a code to open the restrooms.
Service is not great. Less crowded and food quality is average
Not very impressed being a high-volume fast-paced culinary chef a person to another person there it's just a your average mixed Mexican or Texas food I found it okay but I think they need to step up I'm wiping their tables down before New people come in I am highly trained and safe and serve and sanitary where can I find dining and mostly UCSC and also being trained as an EMP in case somebody chokes on the food all of the new people in this industry maybe that should take a class at Cabrillo College just to better themselves it was just an okay place I probably would have been better going to find the Chinese food down the line Fran suggested it because they had a friend wasn't worth it to each his own that's all that matters
This was once the worst Chipotle I’ve ever visited. Several years later (current visit), it’s not too shabby! Food was fresh and tasty, the employees were pleasant enough and the place wasn’t absolutely filthy. The bar area by the soda machine was clean and well stocked as well! No one actively keeping the place clean and stocked though. Ungodly expensive but I guess that’s partially a California thing….
The folks who work here are nice but this place needs a new manager. Trash all over the floor and counter, no utensils, missing drinks we purchased via the app, outside tables were really (really) dirty, etc. And it's not like they were busy. It's an "order via the app only" place. There was no one inside except the three workers. Stale chips topped it off.
Went to river st. It was horrible. Literally only pinto beans that looked so dry no chicken only steak that looked like it was sitting there all day. I asked why there was no food was told not Enough people working there to cook??? I’ll never go there again.
This place is constantly messy. They were out of white rice and the brown rice was almost gone and very dry. I asked if they were making more and the staff very rudely said no because they were short staffed. This was in the middle of the day! This place is a no for me.
Worst Chipotle I've been too. Super slow, weird, and mean workers, didn't have chicken, most sodas, and ice. Also waited in the slow line for 15 minutes
Health hazard here. No soap or even doap dispenser in the restroom. How donemployees wash their hands with no soap?!?!?!
Stopped for a salad - restaurant was out of tortillas, which was fine but the staff was rude. We asked politely for fajita veggies and were told “No.” Literally. Just the word no. The fountain was out of ice, and all the tables were dirty so we had to bus and clean a table ourselves to eat. I love chipotle and have never had an experience like this at any location.
This location is usually good but today (12/10/25) at 7:30p the dude with glasses served me the wrong type of beans without asking me beforehand what i wanted (whatever i don’t really care). Then they were out of all meat, besides the steak. I asked am I still going to get extra charge for this because I don’t want steak I want chicken but I don’t have any other choice. We asked when the chicken is going to be ready and he was basically implying steak was our only option and that it’s only a $2 difference and being hella sassy. Whatever moved on. They are out of mild salsa. Then they are out of chips besides the large size so we had to pay extra AGAIN. Then the guy doesn’t know where the water cups are. Then the water fountain takes LITERAL AGES. Then I eat my food and THE STEAK IS COLD RAW AND CHEWY.
Every time I come here they are out of guac is 7 rn you guys don’t close for another couple hours ? How do you just run out of an ingredient like that an hour before closing or half an hour before closing , sure I get it. Literally everytime I come here past 5pm it’s the same thing we’re out of guac …
It's the worst Chipotle I've ever been to. There's no ice and the drinks are lukewarm. The tables are very dirty. Don't use a fork. The bathrooms are dirty, with no soap. I asked the employees why they didn't notify me during my order, and they said there's nothing they can do.
I know yall businesses in Santa Cruz have houseless-person-takes-over-bathroom trauma. But for real, yall are toxic with it. I drive, for uber, I live, in Felton; I don’t wanna drive ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL the way home just because yall are like, afraid of what people will do in the bathroom? Idk maybe use more discernment and less judgement. Stop letting crusty crust buckets use the bathroom (duh) and let REGULAR NORMAL CITIZENS use it. Cleaning the bathroom an hour early and closing it is not only criminal, but lazy, immoral and pathetic. Good day chipotle.
Got chipotle delivered since i’m exhausted from working so much and thought i deserved to treat myself. Got a veggie bowl with fajitas. The “fajitas” were literally raw vegetables and the rice was so cold that it was literally in individual clumps. i’ve had this bowl before and the veggies have always been cooked and the food warm, but of course not tonight from this location when i want chipotle the most. the bowl was 90% rice and lettuce and sour cream and the bowl was only 1/2 full when i opened it. I feel like i’ve been ripped off and im so sad and disappointed.
Everytime i go there i always get a stomach ache. I think “maybe this time itll be different” but it happens every time. Ive been to other locations and be been fine. Wouldnt be surprised if staff didn’t practice sanitation procedures enough considering.
The entire restaurant is filthy. Tables, drink area, bathroom, counter where you order and pay. I couldn't find a clean place to sit and eat. I like Chipotle in general but this location has always been bad. Today it was bad enough to get me to write a review. The bathroom smelled like feces. There were no lids for regular size cups. All the agua frescas were empty.
