Osteria del Mare Sovico Reviews
Passing by, I stopped at this osteria, which specializes in seafood. I found the food to be truly delicious, with just the right portions, unlike most restaurants that skimp on quantity. They even offered a fornarina (a very unusual dish here, too). So, for food quality, quantity, flavors, and service, it deserves five stars.
Osteria del Mare in Sovico, Brianza, provides a honest dining experience at a very reasonable price. We stopped in for lunch and found the food to be both well-prepared and enjoyable. The pasta with tuna was a simple yet well-executed dish, offering fresh flavors that hit the spot. The ravioli alla bergamasca, with its combination of bacon, sage, and butter, was flavorful and satisfying, reflecting the restaurant’s take on traditional Italian fare. We also tried the bread-crumbed sogliola fish, which was nicely cooked with a tender texture and a subtle, pleasant flavor. It was accompanied by a straightforward salad and sides, which complemented the meal without overwhelming it. The atmosphere at Osteria del Mare is comfortable and inviting, making it a pleasant place for a casual lunch. Service was attentive and courteous, contributing to the overall positive experience. At 35 euros for three people, it’s hard to argue with the value for money. In summary, Osteria del Mare offers a great lunch meal at a fair price, with a welcoming ambiance and good service. It’s a solid option if you’re in the area and looking for a relaxed, satisfying meal.
Have been going here now and then for the last 4-5 years since its close to where I have been working. I have to say its my favourite for the lunch and occasional weekends when nearby. Staff is quick and efficient, food is always done well and always there are some interesting plates to choose. The atmosphere is great without being too noisy. I can for sure recommend, especially for sea food lovers! Only minus is that they now are closed for the lunch both Mondays and Tuesdays ...

The seafood experience was excellent, and the quality of the ingredients was excellent. For the entree, we were served a kind of pizza/piadina, which was very good! The bread and this "pizza" were very well made! The tomato sauce was excellent. The seafood appetizer with marinated salmon was simple but effective. The other appetizer, with gratinated fish, was a perfect choice. For the main course, the mixed fried fish was excellent. The fried fish was fried without any traces of oil. The fried vegetables were also good. The desserts (the ice cream and fruit were good). The service was very good, with friendly and helpful wait staff. Overall, a good evening. Perhaps a sore point, the desserts, in my opinion, are not worthy of such a fine restaurant; ice cream is too simple to end a lovely dinner.
I had lunch on a Sunday. There was a long wait for the main course, and I didn't like our table in the corner, in the little room where the oven is. The €4 cover charge seems expensive, even though they "free" you focaccia and a little sparkling wine, which I didn't drink. I ordered the creamed cod, expecting to eat Vicenza-style cod, which the waitress confirmed was cooked in milk. It was good, but not what I wanted. The spaghetti with seafood and the mixed fried fish were very good.
Chef kashif is a superb cooking artist1😊
A special place for those who love fish. we found this place through Google Maps and I must say that following the reviews of other people who had tried the restaurant we wanted to try it too. as soon as we entered they welcomed us even without a reservation and offered us a smoked salmon appetizer and a pizza (white and red) to start. The location is certainly inclined to fish cuisine but we have also seen some nice meat dishes pass by. In any case, the mise en place is simple and the service discreet. We chose two dishes based on shellfish and fish. Excellent, combined with sparkling wine bubbles. To finish a sorbet and a coffee. Overall a good lunch at a fair price. If I had to come back to these parts I would go back ... (I have memorized it in GMaps)

Commercial seafood restaurant, nothing special. The staff was courteous and attentive. The atmosphere was pleasant, like a village tavern, but still nice and tidy. There's parking nearby. I'm speaking for myself, since I'm writing this review even though we had a large table. I relied on the house tasting menu; only the risotto was good, the rest disappointed me. A few more points for the well-made and delicious dessert. Average cost per person was €45. I understand the restaurant's efforts, which, after all, was packed; serving everyone must have taken a lot of effort and commitment, but in my own small way, I wasn't satisfied. Perhaps it's better to fill less than to neglect what comes out of the kitchen. I'm including photos of myself and of the dishes that were served, including those who were with me.
