Taco Cabana Temple Reviews
We were not planning on going to Taco Cabana. Haven’t been there in forever but there were no open restaurants on new years that open late and honestly I’m glad. It did not disappoint. The staff was very inviting, friendly and fast at making our food. We’re patient with us as we ordered, the food was hot and the tortillas were made right there. As a big family it’s hard to find good and affordable food. We got the family meal with extra tortillas and had plenty even to take home. Definitely recommend this restaurant.
Let’s start off with customer service, we went through the drive thru and the gentleman was very kind and polite. I let him know it was our first time going so he immediately offered any help we needed. Then we get our food and he brought it out to us and explained what each sauce there was and overall made the experience that much better. I wish I caught his name but we didn’t, it was 11/29/25 around noon. Just for that we gave it five stars then we got home and tried the food! I said man we been sleeping on this place everything was excellent! We will definitely be regulars at this place! And to the guy who took our order and brought our food out made it so much better such a positive cool guy all around, thank you sir! Hope management sees this and considers a raise for this gentleman.
Eric was super!! He was so kind and very inviting tonight when we walked in! He had menu suggestions of the new brisket mac and cheese so we also added it & just loved it!! The restaurant is spotless clean & our food was fresh. We seen 3 people working and each one smiled at us when they seen us😊. You just dont experience this type of service anymore. This gave us one more thing to be grateful about today. 11-5-2025 6Pm shift was beyond satisfaction! Way to Go!
Great food. It was hot and delicious. The service was prompt and polite. I came at shift changeover and the new guy that just came in wanted to verify my order before he made it, which was a good thing because I wanted beef not chicken as it was typed in. The atmosphere was clean as well as the restroom. Yum! Yum! The food was hot and fresh!
Every tine we go, we get taken care of very well. We order the same everytime for lunch, the steak fajita taco combo and they know exactly what we take with it. Places like this, especially labeled "fast food" are far and few.
Hands down the best margaritas! The customer service was superb. The food was delicious and seasoned to perfection. I was surprised at how delicious is is but I wish they would build one in Killeen. Temple is cool but to be closer too home would make a hugger difference. The drive thru time was a small wait but worth it and I will return and recommends others to check this location out
I tried Taco Cabana years ago and didn't care for them. Well here I am now and they're pretty good. The prices are decent too. I now recommend them. Drop in if you've never been here. My sister and I had Fuzzy's tacos last night...and I had their nachos...they lacked enough queso...I think Taco Cabana got them beat!
This is my first time at this location. Each taco cabana that I went to I’ve gotten more meat on my quesadillas than what I’ve gotten from this one. The meat is so skimpy that there’s almost nothing on here. It reminds me of how skimpy Taco Bell has gotten. If you want quesadillas with some extra meat on them, you may need to find another taco cabana cause this one is not giving you anything. I’d paid a little over $25 for two large chicken fajita quesadillas and I got almost nothing nowhere near my moneys worth. Never again!
One never knows what is special about a regional chain that is outside your normal area. I think that is what made our move to central Texas exciting. There has to be something it is successful with to replicate beyond the first store, right? So, that made Taco Cabana a suitable test subject. The exterior stands out and the salsa bar is inviting. But, you may notice it is pretty empty in the background. We walked in and ordered as the only customer left. You would normally think this would mean quick service and personal attention. We ordered a carne asada street taco plate, a carne asada quesadilla and bean and cheese burrito. I had to check the receipt and cell phone a few times as it literally took 15 minutes for our order to come out. I will say that they do have a drive-thru and they may have had a rush of orders there or a massive order at the window but you may also warn the customers. Most importantly is the food. The carne asada on the tacos and quesadilla was decent. The seasoning on the refied beans contained a lot of cumin (which I kept tasting hours later.) The bean and cheese burrito was pretty small. The highlight here could be their smokey red salsa but it will not be enough to return. For the amount of money and time spent, we could have opted for a dining experience at one of our favorite venues.
Pretty good. I went during breakfast hours on a Sunday morning. The pancakes are actually manually battered, not the frozen quick serve kind all other fast food restaurants use. The taco was pretty good as well. The salsas seem to be fresh made daily. I'm looking forward to having something off the lunch/ dinner menu before I leave Texas.
I’m so upset and disgusted. I LOVE Taco Cabana and was so excited to introduce my fiancé since this was a favorite past time in El Paso. I remember the sopapillas being insanely delicious along with margaritas being spectacular. I ordered tonight after I got off work and made sure I had my seat warmers on to keep it as fresh as possible. I opened the containers when I got home and found these cheap quarter sized sopapillas I was heart broken. Taco Bell cinnamon twists are packed better and cheaper than this. The taco plate had brown guacamole and the cheese was crusted and dried out on the beans as well as the enchilada having nothing left inside. Mind you it’s a 25 minute drive, there was some settling to be expected but not like this. It shows laziness in packaging and carelessness.
Only 1 star because I cannot leave less. The staff here, especially those working the night shift 8/17 in the evening, is extremely rude. Today was the second time I try and come in after work (at 7pm) and they tell me the lobby is closed l, today this girl started waving her hand and repeating"bye" in my face like a toddler. If the lobby is closed, and only the drive thru is open, put a sign on the door, change the dine in hours, post it somewhere. Also, if you've discontinued items from seasonal menus, take them off the drive thru board. Last time I tried coming here maybe a month ago, and got the same story of the lobby closed, I tried ordering things on the drive thru board and posted online only to be told theyve "been out for weeks and probably won't get it again" . Definitely the very last time I try and dine here, THANKS YALL!! There's a reason the place is always empty! I knew I wanted something better than this sub par, tho conveniently placed, fast food
Did an online order and the tortillas were missing. Cheap item and should be easy to fix but when I called the store they said I needed to go through the app….
I ordered some food via DoorDash on November 28th at 8:29 p.m. and when I got my order the refried beans were missing and there was a tiny red sauce that was only half full. I immediately called the restaurant to let them know and advise them that I didn't have a ride at the moment so I could not go pick it up. The guy I spoke to told me to come in whenever it was convenient to pick up my refried beans that I had paid for but did not receive. I specifically asked him if there was anything imparticular I needed to tell the person working so that they would know that I had in fact already paid for them. He said no, just come by and let us know that we forgot to put your beans in with your order and we will gladly replace it. So this evening I go by there to get my refried beans and explain to the man what happened. He said he needed to know who it was that told me I could come by and get the beans that I never received in the first place. I explained to him that I specifically asked if there was anything I needed to tell them to let them know that I had already paid for that, and that he told me no. It just so happens that the person I'm speaking to sounds exactly like the person I spoke to when my beans were not put in my order. I asked him why they would tell me just to come on by and get them if that were not the case. He proceeded to tell me that he's not worried about the price of no beans, so to pull on up to the window and get my beans. I told him hold on I'm not done with my order. He then tells me that they are only going to replace what was missing from my order and that anything else I order has to be paid for. At no time did I ever ask for anything for free, nor would I expect anything for free. I asked him what made him think that I expected anything for free. He told me that's what people usually do.... I advised him I wasn't asking for anything for free I was just asking for what I wasn't given in the first place and was wanting to place an order as well and pay for it. I've been ordered a dozen tortillas and asked him to please put a few salsas in there as well. I also asked him for the number to corporate. He just stood there and stared at me, I've been told him never mind I'll look it up Thank you and asked for his name, his name was Eric. So I'm leaving the parking lot and I realized that he did not put the salsa in there so I had to go back to the drive-thru and ask if I could please get the salsa I ordered.... Once again, I didn't get what I ordered. So pulled up to the window and got my salsa. How in the world are you going to not complete an order that was paid for, and then give someone a hard time when they come back to get it??? And I would be willing to bet on the fact that he was the person I spoke to in the first place when I called initially. I will never order anything from Taco Cabana again as long as he is working there. I'm not a criminal, I don't steal, and I don't lie to get food and I'll be damned if someone is going to treat me as such when they screwed up my order and ruined my meal to begin with.
Sent my wife to pick up lunch for me. Asked for steak nachos. They put like 3 small pieces of chicken. My wife went back to get the correct order. The girl gave an attitude and asked if she was sure it was chicken. Then added steak on top of both instead of remaking the order. If the employees here don’t like the job get a better education or find a better job.
Just left. Tacos super cold. They never gave me complete order. Tried to get money back. Staff said NO. AN DI. Spent over $19 for chips & questions with large drink. They bagged tacos with 3 containers o ly ONE HAD FOOD. WTH...I don't want to give my money away especially in this economy! PLEASE BE CAREFUL. ONLY went here because I had dr. Appointments all day. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!
Never have I been so disrespected by tacos in my life. Just got my order delivered and the tortillas weren't even cooked. Whoever made my tacos didn't even try at all. They just heated up the meat and threw them on some tortillas and called it a day. The tortillas are so uncooked they were crumbling in my hand when I was trying to pick them up. this is my first bad food review ever. That's how upset I am. 🫵🤨 shame on whoever made my tacos last night and whoever allowed them to send it to me like this. SHAME.
Came in after leaving the V.A. I was super tired and decided to get 5 plates to go and well I was very disappointed with this restaurant. Not only did the young lady have an attitude the entire time she was taking my order but the amount I paid per plate to get the food that was in each plate was very disappointing. However I did enjoy the decor and the freshly made tortilla machine they have. But the salsa bar/area they have needs to be clean periodically and changed out with new/clean salsa and pico de gallo. I ended up spending over $55 for 5 plates that were not even worth buying. The rice had no flavor, the beans were water down (as in chicken broth water down), the queso sauce was also water down, and well the amount of food is more for a toddler not adults. The ladies bathroom needs to be checked for black mold. Other than that the freshly made tortillas are delicious. I will definitely not come back to this facility.
