I was told this pizza would be mind blowing. And it did not disappoint. I got the ‘new one’ (which name I forget at the moment) that was at the bottom of the menu. Had sausage and pepperoni and cheese dollops. We asked for it extra crispy, and that was a good decision. Took about 30-40 mins to come out, which is standard for a thick handmade pie. The toppings were high quality and very tasty. The sauce was plentiful (some may say there’s too much) and really complimented the crust. Never heard of “Detroit style pizza” but I am certainly a fan of it now!

Really good pizza, the service was okay. Atmosphere is also kinda a mix of a sport bar + pizza joint. I will say their drinks, especially beers, are good and cheap. I ordered a Bourbon Old Fashioned, twas very well made.

Deep dish or thin crust? Neither... Detroit Style! Nestled squarely in the middle of the battle for best style of pizza is Via 313. The crust is neither too thin or too thick. The toppings are fresh and the service is excellent (think, a team of pizza loving locals who want you to be pizza happy). If you judge someone who orders the Hawaiian, try one of their many other options!

Via 313 is legit amazing! I didn't think a pizza that was talked up as much as it was would be so good, but it was. The first time I had it, it was in a box for a while, as my friends brought it from across town and let me tell you, it does not hold up well in a box for a while. It got soggy and gross. However, fresh? Oh my goodness. So good. It was crispy and chewy at the same time, it was cheesy and crunchy, it was saucy and gooey, it was... Very good. I can see why so many people love it! You do need to be able to dedicate some time to waiting for it, as even the most basic pizza can take 20 minutes, but that just means it's extra fresh and delicious. I'm not sure how anyone can finish a while pizza, but my husband and I shared a slice and saved the rest, which was perfect for us. Detroit style pizza is so good and this place really delivers!

Until yesterday, I had never had Detroit style pizza. It was so good that I had to have it again before flying out. Really good place with super friendly staff. Just be aware this pizza takes 30 to 40 minutes to be ready.

[GET THE SECRET MENU GF ITEMS!] I would give this place 6 stars if I could. This is gluten-free pizza paradise. I'm not talking flat Udi GF pizza, I'm talking Detroit-style 1-inch thick full-flavor pizza! I tried the prosciutto (Cadillac) pizza, definitely a unique combination with the fig preserves and the balsamic vinegar reduction. I would've gone 5 stars just based on that. But before we get the pizza, the waitress noted a "secret menu" gluten free cheese bread. It was absolutely delicious on its own, and the pizza sauce made it even better! Portion size for the cheese sticks was very appropriate. And THEN, after the pizza, someone, I think it was the manager, knew it was our first time and brought out another "secret menu" GF cinnamon sticks, on the house! I've never heard of anyone doing GF dessert pizza, and I was ecstatic about these! My wife who isn't GF also thought they were delicious. I made sure to let them know they shouldn't be "secret menu" items. Really hoping they expand to Dallas.

Being from around Detroit, I absolutely LOVE this place. It is authentic and tastes amazing. The aroma of the pizza before you eat it is intoxicating. I would recommend this place over the many other pizza places I have visited in Austin. Side note: get the superman ice cream as a treat for a real Michigan experience.

This pizza has ruined all other pizza for me! Nothing compares to it... I'll never be able to enjoy average pies again! We had the artichoke appetizer, and the Cadillac & Detroiter. Ridiculously good... even having to wait 1 hour for seats, it is always worth it.

There are many reasons to come to this place and I will only talk about my three reasons. First the staff, I was surprised at the attentiveness of the staff, there is a sense of good energy amongst the workers that transcends to the customers. I know it sounds cheesy, but this is a pizza place so cheesy is good. We were given a brief description of the pizza style “Detroit pizza...” I was all in. The girl at the bar led me to some delicious beer on tap. While we waited for our pie a second girl, welcomed us and offered us a gift; three meatballs and bread, well they sure do know a way to ay heart. There is a great selection of beers both local and domestic. We ordered the Detroiter and it did not disappoint, I could have had another one all on my own, not because it was small but because it was delicious. I also ordered the Cesar Salad which was not too creamy or anchovie tasting, it was fresh and crisp. The restaurant is open and airy, with a heated patio outside. The bathrooms are Uber clean and well stocked with tissue. I highly recommend this place, I bought one of their souvenir mugs so I can reminisce on the pizza each morning when having my coffee.

Super popular pizzeria on East 6th. Their Detroit-Style, rectangular deep dish pizzas are legit. Wide chocies of salads, deserts and beer & wine pleases everyone. Large front patio with shared tables is fun. Expect 20-30 mins for pizzas.

Typically we grab pizza to go from the Kyle location. Visited this location yesterday for some togo food and would love to come back for dine in soon! Fun atmosphere! The gluten free crust is AMAZING and I have no idea how they can make such a great pizza that is also egg and nightshade free! They also have many vegan topping options if you need dairy free.

T

I visited Austin for a few days and ended up eating here twice! The pizza is great (it’s often tough to find gluten free options) and the staff are even better! I was dining alone and Maurice, Maddison, Cass, Matayah all made me feel a part of the 313 family. They all deserve a raise!!! I don’t usually write reviews but had to praise the staff!

Found this place on Google and looked over the reviews. This place is amazing the wait staff and the bar staff the manager everybody was awesome they didn’t know we were celebrating our 30th anniversary because all our European plans were canceled and they treated us amazing then when they found out it was our 30th anniversary they went over the top can’t recommend this place enough five plus STARS!!! Delicious food, great service, clean facilities, and convenient location. The Old fashions are made to perfection they get five stars just for that. The Detroit style pizza was amazing. The meatball appetizer that sauce and the meatballs were just out of this world . Would highly recommend!!!!

Cool Austin pizza joint with Detroit Style and traditional pizza. Interesting toppings combos and a relaxed atmosphere. Service was grear as was the food. This place gets packed so plan your trip during less busy hours or anticipate a wait. We got in before the big rush and waited a normal amount of time for our food.

We ordered the Detroit Style Herbivore pizza and omg we loved it so much. The bottom of the pizza was anazingly crunchy, the cheese on top was a different unique and on point kind of cheese. Our order took a little arrive though , more than half hour but the pizza really made up for it Loved it to the core. Vegetarian food on point.

Jasper was super friendly and gave recommendations for drinks and things to do in Austin. Stephanie was amazing and talked with us about the new Denver location near where we’re from and connected us with the best staff there. We highly recommend pizza and drinks here in Austin. Pizza was delish!

Some of the best pizza in Austin! If you enjoy fluffy crusts, then the Detroit style is perfect for you. Their signature pepperoni pizza comes with traditional pepperonis and natural casing pepperonis which crisp up into crunchy little bowl shapes. The sauce is added on top after cooking as opposed to being baked into it. It may seem odd at first, but it's awesome! They also offer thin crust pizza if you'd prefer. The location here is nice, and the staff is incredibly nice and friendly. They have some local drafts as well if you're looking for a decent beer. Definitely recommend checking this place out!

Delicious! Loved it all. It was or first time visiting. They're known for they're Detroit Style pizza, as explained by the waitress, and her favorite was the Ambassador. So we had to try it. The dough is light and airy, even though it's a deep dish style pizza. The cheese along the edges is crispy and soooo good. I loved the appetizer... But how can you go wrong with artichokes?? The manager even brought us an ice cream.. Superman IceCream since it was our first visit. Definitely worth a try if you love pizza, and who doesn't??!

Great option for Detroit style pizza almost anyway your tasteful hearts desire. The group I made an order for got the Hawaiian and a 505 which gained constant complements. I ordered the Herbivore vegan gluten-free and I enjoyed it immensely! Thanks Via313 Pizza!

Legit good pizza. We’ve had just about all of them on the menu now and they are all good. Apps are hit and miss. Id skip the Brussels sprouts and try the beet salad. Love they have their own parking lot too.

Bolton made our whole experience amazing and put smiles on our entire crews face! This is the best pizza I’ve ever had in the best customer service around town. If you’re looking for date night, family friendly atmosphere, or just to hang out, you found it! You have to try it at least once. Although once you try it, you will come back for more. Single ladies, GO check it out and ask for Bolton, he’s not too bad on the eyes ;)

Funky little Detroit Pizza themed joint with some dang good pizza. Tried the Carnivore, Bobo Brazil, and The Cadillac. All three were really, really good. Great service and a nice selection of pizzas that you don't see often. Wait time was a little long, but no big deal.

We always enjoy Via 313. We’ve done pickup several times and really enjoyed our restaurant experience last time we were there! The staff was so kind and accommodating to my toddler and brought him pizza dough to play with. He had a blast! Our fav pizza is the Cadillac.

The food was great! We had the larger half carnivor half ambassador. It was so delicious. My partner of from Detroit, so he was very appreciative. Matea and Lou (trainee) gave spectacular service. This was our first time and we mentioned that so they gave us complementary broccoli and cauliflower, which was also exceptionally good. The manager also came over to see how our experience had been going. I’m big on service and this was A1. 10/10

Great Detroit style pizza. Busy place. No wait for a table, but we had to wait a while for our pie, probably because of the take-out volume. But there was a good selection of beers and the seasonal appetizer menu came in handy. Service was a bit lacking... had to ask for plates, for water refills, for the check, etc.

A

Delicious Detroit-style pizza especially when it is served fresh right to table. The crust and bottom of is crispy and the insides are doughy and fluffy. They have cheese-less and vegetarian options which are solid that we got.

J

This establishment has more than one location within the city of Austin.. in terms of pizza it really is in category of its own. The Detroit style servings are nothing beyond delicious each and every time from their style on pepperoni pizza cheese pizza and the prosciuta pizza. When you order get more than one box of different types. I hope they don't lose this magic that they have

The Detroit style pizza is great! We got the gluten free crust and dairy free cheese and honestly it’s so much healthier and tastes just as good! It came super fresh with uber eats too!

This was a delicious pizza with delightful apps. My only complaint it the ricotta was a little thin for my taste. The crust was soft but had some chips spots it was perfect. Wish we lived in Austin I would to come more often.

First time trying Detroit pizza. An absolute discovery. The bread is thick but fluffy and fulfilling, the topics are full of flavor, and the sauce is not overpowering like in the Chicago deep dish. This really surprised me. Try any combination, I did 2 in one and wasn't disappointed. The only down ws the waiting time but that's a good testimony to the demand.

Evon and Tess were the best bar tenders!!! They were extremely friendly and made great drinks! Our first pizza that came out was delicious but when they brought it to us they told us it did not meet their standards and they would bring us another pizza on the house with us even asking! Garrett and Stephanie the managers truly cares about the quality of their product and providing an excellent experience at this restaurant! 10 stars!

I just had to share my fantastic experience at Via 313, all thanks to the incredible Matayah! From the moment I walked in, she welcomed me like a regular, making me feel right at home. As a special treat, I received a complimentary dip that allowed me to sample some of the delicious dishes on the menu. The pizza was really good! The atmosphere was perfect for getting some work done, with just the right vibe to keep me focused. The service was outstanding; everyone on the team was so attentive and friendly. I can’t wait to come back and try more of their menu. Highly recommend Via 313!

Probably some of the best pizza I've ever had in my life. Extremely well cooked, amazing presentation, and the hot honey addition to the pizza was an absolute treat! Service was also very quick, the bartender was always making sure our waters and drinks were topped up, keeping the night going! This place is worth going out of your way to eat at, absolutely!

Came to Austin for the day and decided to try this place since it was close by the area we were in. So glad we did. The pizza is awesome. Loved the crust. Had a beautiful char, and so crispy and buttery. The flavors, from the sauce to the cheese were right on. I'm not a pizza enthusiasts but I would definitely eat this pie again. Oh and the cheesy bread was on the house. Thank you Via313!

Top notch Detroit style pizza in Austin. Great service from a friendly and knowledgable team. The pizzas were spectacular. with crunchy cheese and sauce on top were perfect. Via 313 keeps to the Michigan theme by offering drink stapes such as Faygo and Vernor's as well as naming pizza after Detroit landmarks. The Ambassador Bridge is the exact opposite of it's real life name sake. Fresh, value priced and without any trolls owning it.

Best Detroit pizza I’ve had. The bartender was amazing and helped with our first visit to 313. We started off with some draft beers then patiently waited for the pizza. It was incredible. We shared one and had 2 different toppings on each wide. They are very thick pieces, so it will fill up a couple. They even gave us a free dessert which were some yummy cinnamon sticks. I really appreciate the hospitality from this place, especially towards new guests. We definitely started the day off right coming to this pizza joint. Huge thanks and props!

I’m usually a New York style pizza kinda girl. I used to love Chicago style pizza growing up; Uno was my favorite spot on the West Coast. I can’t say that I’ve ever personally had a Detroit style pizza so today was a first for me. Via 313 East in Austin is where we headed today. They are situated in old downtown Sixth street and have a nice outdoor area with lots of bench seating. Their parking is a lil cramped, but for a downtown spot to HAVE parking at all is a plus. Really nice staff too! As soon as you walk in you are greeted by whatever wait staff happens to be available at that moment. As you look around you get a kind of a warehouse vibe. Everybody’s really casual. There is a bar off to the side; not sure if there is more or larger party seating in the back? I didn’t really explore but I DID use the facilities which are very clean. And, they do also have additional waiting bench in the bar/bathroom vicinity. They have a wide variety of pies. And they have a limited number of appetizers and salads too. today we tried the goat cheese and artichoke dip as our app. It was served with kind of a French roll crouton which is very thinly sliced and toasted. Super good! The goat cheese is slightly salty and has a very country-milky taste but mild at the same time. I grew up eating goat cheese and am lactose intolerant but since this is cultured it’s very nice on the tummy as it’s a very mild cheese and goats milk is better for us than cow milk. There’s lots of marinara which I really like. It really melds with the goat cheese and is spiced beautifully. The addition of basil juliennes only add to the sauce’s delicious bite. The artichokes are fresh and very meaty; it all comes together w the crunch of the croutons, I honestly ate too much at that point!! But with the pizza still to come; we had to stay strong!!! The daughter tried their square pepperoni pizza, which upon arrival I thought I was going to hafta “politely speak with somebody about missing pepperoni“ When in fact the pepperoni was comfortably situated underneath all the melty cheese. L O L They put a nice double row of marinara sauce on top of their pies to make it look not like your conventional pepperoni pie. Very aesthetically pleasing. Again, the sauce is nicely spiced; very tomatoey, with a good amount of oregano and basil. Their mozzarella is very fresh and very mild but still super flavorful (I LOVE a good Mozzarella!!), they use the large pepperonis on the inside which is interesting. My pie was the Omnivore. It’s a supreme type pizza w veggies included and normally has pepperoni and sausage which I took off because I don’t like sausage on my pizza and added pepperoncinis. It was excellent! They use the small pepperonis on the outside of This pie which are allowed to crisp up - I love that!! You can’t get those large pepperonis crisp like that. The pepperoncinis were very salty sweet, imparting a great flavor to the veggies and cheese. I also loved the crispy crunchy baked cheese around the edges of the pie. Super delicious!! I don’t know if this is the signature of a Detroit style pizza but it was really worked; reminiscent of cheesy bread. Also Their crust is also super light and airy/bubbly which I really like! You get all of your textures workin. An excellent pie I gotta say!!! Via 313 pizza did an excellent job all around! I highly suggest you check them out next time you are in the area!!

I'm originally from MI and to see so many of my childhood memories on the menu was truly an exciting experience. Vernors and Faygo "pop", superman ice cream, deep dish, rectangular pizza with RICOTTA cheese....are you kidding me! Everything was delicious and Janae, our waitress was a true gem of a sweetheart!

L
Lali P

The four cheese pizza is so tasty. Highly recommend! The marinara is slightly sweet and it makes an excellent combo with the cheese profile. If you want to cut the the sweetness just add some red pepper flakes. The crust is nice and fluffy which is something I personally prefer. The cocktail are nice as well. The beer options are a little lacking. I had the hibiscus margarita it was so tasty. I also had the prickly pear frozen margarita that was not as good I would skip that one.

S
Sal Galdamez

Had an amazing experience at Via 313 Pizza! Our server, Grace, was fantastic super friendly, attentive, and gave us an awesome recommendation. She suggested the Jalapeño Popper Pizza and it was hands down one of the tastiest, most unique pizzas I’ve ever had. The flavors were perfectly balanced with just the right amount of kick. The service was great, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the food was top notch. Definitely coming back and highly recommend asking for Grace if you visit!

Literally my favorite pizza spot in Austin! Staff is always friendly & nice, pizza is always great quality & I love how they have specials often! Their hibiscus margarita is also so good!! Only issue can be finding parking depending on the time/day!

Everything was so good from service to food. I had my waiter pick out my pizza order for me as I was feeling adventurous. My small Detroit pizza was half & half. Half Cadillac & Half Bobo. The Cadillac was something I would have never ordered on my own but it tasted so amazing just the mix of the cheese with the sweetness of the fig and tanginess of the balsamic vinaigrette was perfect. The Cadillac will be my new favorite pizza to eat from now after trying it. The service was also an amazing experience as everyone was so nice when it came to refills and asking me how everything tasted. Will 100% be coming back

Located in the heart of East Austin; their Detroit-style pizza is a perfect blend of crispy, cheesy edges and a pillowy, airy crust. The crust alone is worth the visit – golden, buttery, and just the right amount of crunch. We got the Herbivore, very tasty! The vibe is laid-back and welcoming, making it a great spot to hang out with friends or grab a quick bite solo. Service is consistently friendly and attentive.

Very good pizza. The live oak draft hefe was my #1 favorite ever. The manager gave me a free appetizer on the house because it was my first time there. Feel like you never see that kind of service nowadays. Good pizza too of course. The Detroiter was my favorite

I wish that that scale went higher than 5 stars because of spots like this. The meatballs were amazing. The sauce was phenomenal and the pie was top-notch. I ordered an off menu cocktail and the bartender absolutely killed it. I had a great time from the second I walked in the door and the quality of the food and drinks carried that momentum through my entire experience. If you live in Austin and have yet to try this spot, you're doing yourself a great disservice. If you're just visiting and are in the mood for pizza, then congratulations. Because you've found your solution.

We are visiting from Atlanta for a half marathon Sunday, and this lovely spot was just down the street from our hotel! For the life of me, I cannot remember our servers name, but she was so sweet and bubbly with short blonde hair I hope she can be recognized for the outstanding service provided to my wife and I. Additionally a manager, Stephanie, came out and brought us a free cheese bread sampler just as a thank you for coming to visit while we were in town. Service like this is so rare these days, and it’s small moments of delight like this that create lasting customers. Additionally, the pizza itself was absolutely fantastic. I love Detroit style, and there’s was GREAT, but my favorite was actually the bar style pizza they offered. I would order it again any time! The cinnamon sticks dessert was fantastic as well. With very fair (dare I say cheap) beer prices, outstanding service, and wonderful food this place gets 5 stars from me. Thanks to everyone at this Via 313 location for their hospitality!

It all started with the service. We explained it was our first time visiting so we had a couple of questions which they answered promptly and that helped us make decisions for our order. We ordered two large pizzas so we would have pizza for dinner that night. While waiting a nice young lady brought a complimentary starter to welcome us! Then the food came and I had to take pics because they were so pretty 😍. My husband cannot stop talking about the jalapeno popper pizza and the hot honey drizzled on it. We ordered a side of that delicious-nous! They have a lot of different pizzas I haven't seen before like the aforementioned pizza. We are now card carrying members of VIA313😍🍕 and also saved $10 signing up.

A couple of years ago, while visiting Austin with friends, I was researching restaurants on Google Maps and came across this place. The reviews and photos looked promising, and it turned out to be an amazing experience. The pizza was delicious, generously sized, and offered at a very reasonable price. Between the great taste, hearty portions, and welcoming atmosphere, it was definitely a meal worth remembering during our trip.

Via313 is one of my absolute favorite pizzerias in Austin. I moved back from Chicago about 6 years ago and because I am a huge fan of deep dish pizza, Via313 is the closest I can get in ATX. I hardly ever order using Door Dash because I have had more terrible than good experiences, but on this particular day, I did not have the energy to deal with Austin's traffic, so I placed an order for delivery. The quoted delivery time was 45 minutes. When 45 minutes came and went, I checked the dash app and it looked as if my pizza was about to finally be picked up. About an hour into my order, I finally called and was told that they were about to call Door Dash to cancel the pizza and then call me because my pizza had been there waiting and no one had shown up to claim the order. I was given the offer of canceling the order or picking up a fresh, fully refunded order. I felt that was very generous and because we were starving, I decided to drive the 15 minutes to get my food. True to their word, they remade my order while I waited and funny enough, while there, a door dasher finally arrived to pickup my order. At this point, it was almost 2 hours after it was originally placed! The cashier did not let on that I was sitting right in front of him as they too were disgusted. Garrett, thank you so much for your kindness and generosity! It was unexpected and it really made my day!

The wife and I were checking out the nightlife in Austin and decided to have a beer and snacks at this neat, little pizza joint. It did not disappoint. Our server, Charlotte was a gem; enthusiastic, friendly and immediately made us feel welcome. We had the breadsticks and they were cooked perfectly with just a little “crunch” around the edges. If you appreciate great service, food and people-watching on a Friday night, I recommend giving this place a shot.

The food was ready in a timely manner & the team was willing to fix a minor error with the order easily. Everybody was also friendly. Via 313 genuinely has *the* best gluten free (with the option for really good dairy free cheese too) Detroit style pizza I've ever had!

We had both the thin crust and the Detroit style pizza. The crispy cheese around the crust was cooked to PERFECTION! The sauce tasted freshly made. Our server was fantastic, full of positive energy and loaded with suggestions allowing us to experience all things that makes this place unique. The beet salad, the artichoke appetizer, Definitely on our list to return when back in the area.

They have gluten free and vegan options! That are yummy! I got a build your own gluten free (one small size available for GF). I also got a house salad and gluten free breadsticks. Everything was amazing and the staff was so hospitable. Kalani was a great server!

First time visiting and having the Detroit style pizza. The crust was absolutely amazing and cooked to perfection, the portion of cheese was a good amount unlike where some places will skimp on the cheese, not here and you can actually taste the sauce with a healthy portion of that too. Kiddos loved the pizza! Sign-up for their loyalty program and get $10 off your next order ! Even had lollipops for the kids !

Via 313 is my go-to spot whenever we are in town, honestly, I prefer their Detroit-style pizza over many I’ve had in Detroit itself. It never disappoints! The staff has always been super friendly since our first visit back in 2019. A memorable moment: during that first visit, we asked if they had a gluten-free dessert. They didn’t at the time, but the chef heard about it and surprised us by offering us a cinnamon-sugar dessert on the spot free of charge, something they were testing for the menu. It was amazing! When we saw it officially added to the menu later on, we smiled, feeling like we were part of its story. If you’re looking for a great Detroit style gluten-free pizza and genuinely kind people, this is the place.

I ordered a hibiscus margarita and cheese sticks with pepperoni, bacon and jalapeños with a side of marinara and ranch. I come here often and Jamie has been very sweet and attentive even during a chaotic rush. She makes sure all her tables are doing well and answers any questions about the menu. She offers gluten free pizza and desserts which are really good! Recommended trying their hubcaps, satisfies the sweet craving! Thanks for the great service Jamie! ☺️

We came searching for Detroit-style pizza and this place is the real deal! Sat at the bar on a Saturday and had a great time talking with Joe. Wife and I split a 4 piece and really appreciated that you can split the toppings. The Brussels sprouts appetizer was very good while the pizza cooked. The venue was getting crowded around 7:00 PM and seeing all the locals come in is always a good sign. The pizza was best I’ve had (and I don’t say that lightly). Specialty topping combinations are unique and go very well together. The place is perfectly clean, spacious and cool in the TX heat. I would go back every time in Austin. The picture says it all.

We ordered online and picked up. It was easy and the pizza was delicious! We got a gluten free pepperoni and sausage with gluten free cinnamon sticks. The dough was so bouncy and soft, hard to believe it’s gf! I especially loved how the cheese baked to a perfect crisp on the outside of the pizza. Chefs kiss! The cinnamon sticks were very good as well and come with icing drizzled on top. I’ll certainly be back here!

I had this pizza at a work lunch so I wanted to go try it in person and it was just as amazing. The service there was amazing as well, they brought us a round of cheesy bread sticks to start and they were having a deal on bottles of wine too! We had two different pizzas, and my fav was the balsamic and fig one. Everyone was so nice and the vibe in there was pretty cool too!

While in Austin for a Scout trip, we wanted pizza from a local business. Via 313 came up several times as one of the best in Austin, so we headed over. We started off being seated immediately, and our waitress was friendly. She asked if it was our first time, and when we confirmed it was, she explained the different kinds of pizza they offered. We ordered a half and half pepperoni / carnivore (meats) Detroit style. The wait was moderate, and our waitress checked on us several times for refills until it was time to bring food out The pizza was a deep dish with the sauce drizzled on top, as expected from a Detroit style pizza. The cheese was melty, and there was plenty of it. There was no spill over between the two types of pizza that you often get when you do half and half. The crust was crispy on the bottom and stuff inside, and the toppings perfectly complimented everything. I could have had a little more red sauce, but it didn't detract from how good the pizza was. If you like heavier sauce on pizza, I suggest ordering more. As a bonus, the manager came to check on us, and after asking how everything was, told us they'd put an order of cinnamon sticks in the oven for us to try as first time customers. The cinnamon sticks just melted in your mouth, and my kids talked about them all the way home. 15/10 dessert, definitely recommend. I will also say, our waitress ran my card, set the card machine down on the tip section, and left. This felt like a better way to do things than staring you down as you choose your level of tipping. I appreciated this. Overall, this is now one of my favorite pizza places in the country. Definitely stop in.

I was pretty impressed with this pizza. We got the bar style 12 inch round, half spinach artichoke, half chicken bacon ranch. We were stuck choosing between the two, and our waitress was very helpful and told us we could do half each flavor. I personally loved the veggie side, but my husband preferred the chicken bacon side, but felt there was a bit too much ranch. I agreed, but the heavy flavors and textures of the chicken bacon ranch side went well with the lighter, more acidic veggie side. We sat outside, and the service was good. They had water spritzers going to fight the heat and turned them off when the sun went down so it remained comfortable. Great place.

The cheesy bread is good, heavy on the parm. Just the way I like it. It was slightly cold but still pretty tasty. The pizza, a small pepperoni Detroit style, was fantastic. Good temperature, great cheese pull, an excellent crust. The pepperonis were the natural casing type (as opposed to the smoked pepperonis), and they had a wonderful flavor you don't typically get with pepperoni. The wait was a little long, but I'll probably come here again for the tasty 'za. Great price too

Good pizza. Would like to see more marinara especially when extra sauce is asked for in the pizza. Service inside can be better on busy days they’re a bit overwhelmed. I went inside to place a to-go order and they wouldn’t allow me to sit at a table while I waited. I even ordered a drink to have while I waited. But then someone came around to tell me that I can’t take up a table since I only have a to go order.

December 2025 I don’t recall ever having Detroit-style pizza before, but it was good. I prefer NY-style, but I love deep dish Chicago-style and this was very similar to it. The sauce, cheese, and toppings were plentiful, and the crust was my favorite part, but it was a bit too soggy for my liking. Overall, not a bad couple slices of something new and different while in town on business.

The pizza was very good and the online ordering system is thorough and makes addressing unique preferences very clear. Food costs are through the roof and this establishment is staying on the curve in order to be a going concern long term. In short a large two topping pizza came out just sub $40 at the time of writing. No sodas, no sides, pickup. This is not a complaint, just the facts. Will I order again, absolutely. Will it be in regular rotation, probably reserved for when I really crave it.

So I flew from Boston to try this. First the staff wasn’t the best. I was looking for a pizza and he didn’t really try to help me out to figure it out. Okay whatever I got my pizza then I put some parm cheese. Let’s just say it was BAD. I had to ask the person next to me for his. Good thing I only put it on half the pizza. I guess it’s a 3 rating because the none social staff discounted the half that was bad with the parm cheese. But I wouldn’t catch another flight for it. I’ll still to Chicago pizza thank you

Detroit style pizza has the look, and is close to the flavor but is heavier than authentic Detroit pizza.Too much cheese, and dough is not as light and airy as Buddy's in Detroit or Emma's squared in Nashville or Brooklyn. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.

Was thrilled to find a Detroit-style place here in Austin so of course, I had to visit! Overall the pizza hit the spot but there were a few things that took a few stars off the review: - The sauce was probably the poorest part of the pizza. It had an almost smoky taste to it that really distracted from the rest of the pizza. And the fact that the sauce was drizzled on top of the pizza was strange. I *think* what was missing is the secret ingredient that a lot of New York pizza places (and Detroit-style pizzas) add — sugar. It helps balance the flavor without putting an emphasis on the sauce. Overall, if I were to go back, I’d probably just skip the sauce altogether. - Needs more pepperoni! The pepperoni they use, which is claimed to be two different styles (a regular and a smoky one) is good but it wasn’t a proper ratio of cheese to pepperoni. - I had asked for extra crispy and when I got it it seemed like regular. My wife also got a regular one (without requesting extra crispy) and it seemed a bit undercooked. Detroit-style should be crispy throughout. What it had going for it: - Crust was excellent - Cheese was great - Price to value was great as well.

I was excited to head out to Via 313 today for the best tasting Detroit Style pizza ever. It's great for what it is and not to be compared to other styles of pizza which I also love. It's a thrill to know we have this restaurant in SA instead of having to make that stressful drive to Austin which I had been doing for the past 10 years. The Caesar salad was phenomenal (ask for xtra dressing) and is now my second favorite next to EZs. Service was great along with the ambiance. Update: Did not honor a valid coupon and unfortunately did nothing to makeup for it! Still great pizza, but disappointed with management.

Tried again to get a gluten free pizza but as you can see from the photos they threw some garlic chunks on a tiny dried out smear of sauce on top of an undercooked pale crust! Dry and inconsistent with no care ! The tiny measurements of ingredients is underwhelming , this is no pizza ! 20$$$ really?

It's painful having to write this. Last week I got a regular crust Detroiter from the food truck location on Nueces. I thought it was some of the best pizza I've ever had in Austin. Yesterday, I got a gluten free Ambassador from this location and it was straight up disgusting. The middle part was a sloppy mushy wet undercooked mess. Gross!! I threw away half the pizza. I literally cannot remember the last time a pizza was so bad I had to throw it away. Additionally, the pizza had a weird stench. Every time I bit into it I smelled something weird. I could not understand where it was coming from. I picked apart the toppings, the sausage, the bacon; they both smelled and tasted good. Was it one of the spices in the Ambassador? Was it the sauce? Is this supposed to be how it should smell? No idea. This would be a no brainer a one star if I didn't love the pizza so much last week. Was it the gluten free crust? Was it just an accidental fluke because they were so busy? I don't know.

Would be more stars but it seems like their quality has been slipping lately. This is probably the third time I ordered extra crispy and it came the opposite where it was barely cooked. Sad because the pizza is usually so good especially the fact it can be gluten-free and dairy-free. I included pictures. If we're going to pay $35 for a small pizza I would just hope it was cooked right. To a decent temperature.
