Coziest bar in Carroll Gardens. Especially so when the weather is nice and the back porch is open.
Loved the drinks and the late night vibe. Try the Pinky Fizz!

💜 love this place. Local, cosy but very friendly even to absolute strangers!

Consistent, cool and always good service. Really the only worthwhile thing about Smith Street.

A perfect cozy neighborhood cocktail bar
Great vibe, great cocktails.
the garden in the back is really nice!
Favorite bar in Brooklyn, delicious cocktails and ambiance. 10/10.
Hidden speakeasy bar that makes cocktails. A but expensive but a fun experience. Pool tabke and outdoor space at the back. Has alot of character
While most places on Smith st. are closing Brooklyn Social maintains it's standards and features great drinks, nice clientele and a cute pool table and back garden.
Best bar in the neighborhood great martini and blonde mezcal Negroni
Great service and ambiance. Really fun, thoughtful menu true to the history of the place and neighborhood. Good happy hour 😎
Great beer & cocktails delivered by friendly and knowledgeable staff. Plus they have a pool room and smoking garden out back!
A small simple menu where everything is good. The bartenders are also willing to make you something special while being genuinely friendly.
Great for a first date or place to catch up for a few hours with an old friendly. And awesome cocktails. Cash only.
Great place to hang out with friends and family too!’
One of the better Smith st watering holes. Old fashion style drinks .nice pour, good juke box, pool backyard. Dark .
This spot feels like a Scorsese film. In the very besy way possible.
Nice!
My favorite Bar, cocktails are okay nothing special, great atmosphere, a place with character, very Brooklyn.
Thos has been my place for so many years. Love the drinks, bartenders and the pressed sandwiches.
Beautiful place, I’ve been coming here for over 10 years
Very nice bartenders, good atmosphere, great cocktails.
Great staff. Cool place to get a great cocktail and see a celebrity
Great little bar and some of the best bar service I've ever had
we went here to meet with Susan and Christian really liked his panini
Back when cocktail bars were still rare in Brooklyn, this establishment was already comfortable in its own skin. Some time has gone by, and thankfully, they haven't missed a beat. The entire staff is made up of the best and brightest this city has to offer, and this bar clearly has the soul that a neighborhood bar truly needs. A+, every time.
Good drinks that are well crafted and a great atomsphere. They have a pool table in the back and the place is definitely well cared for. Also saw the actor who plays Caputo in Orange is the New Black drinking at the bar so.. all in all pretty awesome.
Bartenders were divas. It’s a Wednesday night. Was meant to go to cinema. Never went. Vibes were too perfiana.
Tasty cocktails, friendly bartenders, relaxed atmosphere. We came here on a Sunday night with a group of 4 and had a great time!
Down to earth bar with nice cocktails. Cozy spot for small groups, maybe 2-4 people max. It can get quite busy on the weekends at night.
This is truly a local bar. It's not your turnt type of environment, but I'll give it a good review because the staff is nice (without having seen the bathroom). This is a cash only bar, but there is no cover.
Cool atmosphere and interesting cocktails. Really liked the vibe. Good place for us to wait for our table at Lucalis. Might have to make it a tradition.
came here for a 30s brooklyn hang, has a great backyard in november and a pool table in the back, stuffy in the front bu toverall decent mafia vibes bar
If you see a $20 (Mexican pesos) bill, I donated it! Love this place, made my life easier when I lived in Brooklyn. Best nights with my friends , AND pool table... What else is there?
One of the best bars on Smith Street. EXCELLENT mixologists that care about each drink. No blaring TVs, but chill conversations with Brooklyn neighbors. Nice.
Great cocktails and great atmosphere. Matt is the owner and frequently there mixing up excellent drinks without any unnecessary flash.
It’s definitely not a happening neighborhood if your looking for the latest and greatest however, this is the best your going to get in this area. Very yummy cocktails and a small cool vibe.
Very cool space with amazing cocktails and a cool, friendly staff.
Open later than anything else in CG it seems.. this is my go to place as a last stop before calling it a night. Cozy and quaint with very good service, and a good cocktail and beer selection. The back garden is simple but enjoyable if it gets too loud inside. Hope the pool table comes back soon, its been removed post Covid.
Loved the ambiance in this place. Really great for a date, the music is at a perfect temperature for basic conversations and the lighting adds to the mood. The drinks are worth it. So good! There are some corner booth seating options that are just really chill. Didn’t have any food but the menu looked delish. Hoping to be back soon.
Best bar in Carrol Gardens, not much else to say.
The best whiskey sour in the 'hood- made with expert care. It is consistently good. And the other cocktails are also delicious- I have sampled them all. It's occasionally a bit loud, which is actually a testament to its popularity. The bartenders are all wonderful- warm, friendly, fast to serve a drink, and generous. This place deserves its local praise.
All drinks were good except the ginger old fashion
Good music, good atmosphere. Nice.
Superb drinks with a speak-easy vibe.
We grabbed a few happy hour drinks here. Fun bar vibe. Nice place to watch a game.
Discreet, hip and dimly lit. Perfect joint for sipping an old fashioned in a tweed blazer while discussing Obama's foreign policy failures.
Nice ambience, great crowd .... Neopolitan& Brooklyn definitely something to try if you like pineapple juice
Nice bar. Serving great cocktails. There's a backyard too
Cocktails and a dark, comfortable atmosphere. Great winter drinking spot.
Brooklyn Social is a great neighborhood bar. It's dimly lit (good for a date), but it is pretty small so it's not great for groups. The cocktails aren't the *best* in the neighborhood, but they're well-made. Love the old-school vibe.
A unique place where fancy cocktails somehow meet a venue with a pool table. In my books, that makes it just about perfect. The front area is mostly candlelit - perfect for a post dinner drink on a date.
A relaxed and comfy spot where you can have a drink and not scream over the noise to have a conversation. The drinks are good priced, feels like HH all day. I would def go back. If you enjoy pool theres a table in the back room, go for it!
Nice cosy place with good cocktails. If you are hungry, have their amazing goat cheese sandwich. It is a cash only place so be prepared before going in
With both a backyard and on street seating, as the weather warms up it is a nice place to have a drink and hang out a bit.
great place, easy to miss from the outside. nice atmosphere, great music playing, with intimate outdoor seating area and even a pool table
Awesome BK "diveisch" bar, you'll get some good cocktails without anything pretentious. They have some good beers on tap too!
It's pretty easy to walk by without noticing it but step inside for a cozy cocktail bar. Don't forget to stop for cash on your way there though as they are cash only.
I love the mood of this place, it's dark and cozy. The cocktails are fine; I honestly had a better run and ginger ale than the drink I ordered off he menu. I highly recommend the soppressata sandwich. It's delicious.
The place has a wonderful vintage atmosphere and great cocktails. There's also an open-air area great in the summer. A backroom pool table adds to the fun! I just wish they accepted credit cards.
Never had the food but the drinks are always great and it’s super cozy inside. Definitely a mellow crowd but it’s a great spot to grab a good cocktail and catch up with friends. It can take a little bit to get a drink sometimes but you can expect an attentive bartender and painstakingly crafted drink.
It's alright. Kind of annoying that a cash-only bar doesn't have an ATM though (the closest one was out of order), especially at 1am...
Great place. Will get 5 stars when you can pay with credit card!
Good cocktails in a small bar with limited seating. Great low-key ambiance.
Used to be one of the best local bars in the neighborhood. Great cocktails, nice bartenders. When the juke box worked, it was fantastic. Now turned very bro-ey and the music leads much to be desired. The bar has gone a little down hill. I suggest their other bar, Henry Public instead or go on a weekday and avoid on friday and saturday nights.
Its the same bar, but the bartenders have changed since covid. We've been coming here off and on for years. They had old school bartenders, mustache and all. They played the part. They were serious. Oh well.
Walked in smelled piss coming from the big table/booth by the door, walked out. My service rating is not based on anything as I stayed only a minute.
Cool spot but service was horrible (on a Thursday when it wasn’t so busy). I can only imagine how bad it must get on weekends. Servers were too busy. Priced on the higher side, which is expected. Cash only. I’d like to have tried other things on the menu, but left as it didn’t seem they were interested in serving me. Gave it a shot due to the reviews, but won’t be going back.
This place is full of stuck-up "ladies" and super-lame dudes. I think they all work in finance or something. I tried to make pleasant conversation with several cute chicks, but they all gave me the brush-off immediately. The bartender eventually told me that he refused to serve me further and I should look for a new drinking establishment - RUDE! I wasn't drunk or anything, just trying to get a little tail. Avoid Brooklyn Social. Unless you like stuck-up soccer mom types, and guys in polo shirts who probably have golf clubs rammed so far up their derrieres that they say "sofa" rather than "couch".
It pains me to report one of my longtime favorite bars has fallen and is now one of my least. Cocktails used to be sophisticated, precise, clean and nuanced. Now they are sloppy, syrupy, sweet as candy. My cocktail glass was even sticky due to sugar, which is weird on an elegant stemmed glass. Bartender also requested payment immediately after serving our drinks, before we even had a sip. Still a nice cozy interior setting, but it tastes like a fast-food candy store.
