This place is great. Super friendly and helpful staff and great and affordable drinks! I appreciate that they are taking COVID safety precautions, as some bars in the area aren’t, but we felt comfortable here.

One of my favourite bars I've visited in NYC. Really friendly service, great music and great happy hour deals. The bud and a dub deal is a steal, and the frozen daquiri is delicious!

This place is the hipsterest (is that even a word?!) place I have ever been to in my life and I party in North Park, CA all the time! It's not exactly the place for me but that doesn't mean it isn't nailing the mark its trying to hit. When I asked for a red bull vodka my man says, "we have guyaki yerba mate, a natural red bull." One for the record books.

Very chill vibes, the bartender and waitress are super sweet and its surprisingly cheap :) best happy hour prices by far...indoor sitting and they have a little patio!

Great people, good tunes and wonderful selection of drinks for the cheapest among us to the not so cheap. Happy hour is wonderful! Gets a little crowded for me on the weekends, but if that’s your jam the patrons are generally fun people. Also has awesome pinball. Glad to see someone still appreciates the Harvey Wallbanger.

Similar in price to a lot of other divey bars in Brooklyn, this place has a fair list of drinks and a nice signature cocktail list. I got the Rob Roy and was very satisfied. A photo booth and pinball machines are located in a more spacious back area, and there's also calmer outdoor seating available. If you want to go dancing next door but are waiting for the line to die down, this is also a great corner spot to grab a drink.

Birdies as a no frill bar with a great atmosphere cool bartenders and great drinks. The aesthetic and people that go there are just as amazing as the surrounding town.

Was visiting the city and had a lot of things go wrong to get there, the trip was stressful but then I walked into Birdys had some good ol Budweisers and instantly met a bunch of insanely cool people. Bartenders Merrily and Juliette were so awesome. I loved the atmosphere and the vibe and I will definitely be coming back every time i visit the city. These guys really helped make my trip worthwhile. Also great outdoor smoking pavilion :) Thanks Birdys!!! <3 PS the bathrooms were fine :)

If left untouched for the next 5-10 years this place could become an incredible dive bar. As it is currently the dive bar aesthetic is great and matched by cheap beer and quality tunes. Birdy's occupies a cool corner spot nestled under the elevated train tracks and is a perfect spot to hit before or after a show at silent barn or market hotel. They offer hand pies from tuck shop and have a pie and beer special. For the thriftier crowd bowls of party mix line the bar. There is ample seating and the rear room has several pinball machines and a photo booth. I will definitely be back to Birdy's!

Great place with cheap booze and free party mix. Some pinball type games on back. Actually very large though it does fill up. Definitely a hang out sort of place, versus a place to be seen. Supposedly they will get a sidewalk cafe soon.

Has to be one of the best dirty Shirley’s I’ve had, and they always load up on cherries!

I’ve been to birdy’s often in the 10 years I’ve called Brooklyn home, and I always feel scene and safe, and I have a hella good time. Drinks are top notch, atmosphere is perfection.

I stumbled across this place while visiting New York and I wish it was my local back home. A perfect spot to while away an evening; great service, conversation, and the server's excellent music choices kept me checking Shazam all evening.

All that’s missing to make this the perfect dive bar is a pool table. Cozy atmosphere, easy to talk in. They have a super cool analog photobooth in the back ($7 for one strip), foosball, and a variety of pinball machines. We came during happy hour on a Sunday night and they were not so busy. Great cocktail selection on the menu. My cocktail tasted like a gummy bear it was delicious. Can’t wait to come back.

Dog friendly bar!!! They have a good mix of beers on tap, from cheap domestics to locals to midwestern crafts. Good happy hour deal ($2 off drafts, well drinks, and wine) and they serve hot dogs as well. The bartender was friendly and attentive.

Birdy's has a great selection of pinball machines which drunk-me really enjoys pumping fistfuls of quarters into, and also they have booze. Just don't try and use the bathroom on a weekend because the 13 girls in the single-toilet room are gonna be in there for awhile.

Bushwick cool kids hangout. Pinball machines in the back but good luck because it’s also where the line to the bathroom forms. This place is VERY 21-25 on certain nights, drinks are cheap and vibes are cool so I don’t mind. Best way to describe this spot is that it’s VERY bushwick.

Really nice crowd, attentive bartenders. Nothing much I can ask for - except for your bathroom. Even though I can let out my fluids anywhere, trashy bathroom or not, idc - my gf was quite affected by the lack of cleanliness and apparent hygiene. Otherwise, had a great time but that bathroom might make us hesitate a bit.

Birdy's is a great spot to being a group of friends because of the big seating booths and the decently priced drinks. They have a frozen whisky sour that I was really into. Not too loud for it being so crowded so it's nice to be able to have conversation as well. I liked my experience and would go back.

Place had a weird odor but had a pretty cool drink selection for cheap. If you can't deal with the odor you could always sit outside and enjoy gentrified bushwick. Altogether pretty dope spot -- and don't overlook the pinball machines in the back.

Unique... 50's feel with the modern hipster vibe, but no pretentiousness. Decent prices and a few noshes, should you need. Pinball and fooseball in the back! The bathroom line can get long quickly, so find your moment...

Not bad for a dive bar... it's one of my locals and I love the frozen whiskey sours...decent happy hours and they have pinball machines and a photo booth in back. Some of the bar tenders (fellas, the females always seem friendlier lol)seem lazy but whatever, it's a bushwick bar.my boyfriend and I saw a small cockroach on one of the side bars to sit on too once, but its NYC so whatever.. i feel the cockroach had more energy than a few of the guy bartenders haha...good people watching when you're sitting by the front entrance. I was born in 1983, and I absolutely love the music this bar plays, so nostalgic of my upbringing. I think between the music and frozen whiskey sours, this is my favorite bar in all of Brooklyn!

Everyone here seems to be friends which on one hand is nice like you feel you can just go up and have a conversation with anyone but it also skews young so it’s sort of like the vibes of a theatre kid after party. Not a bad thing, kind of a fun thing! But that’s what I would say. Went on a weekend late at night and it was very full and happening Use the bathroom wherever you are at before because the line was like 10 people long the entire time I was there (I never went so not really sure what the situation is there)

It's cool only if your social and political views line up with the average crowd. Otherwise you will be ostricized

As much fun as we had at this bar, it was completely eclipsed by the absolute nightmare that was the restroom situation. The smell was horrendous, it was a mess of wet toilet paper, and the toilet was covered in what I can only assume was urine.

I ordered top shelf liquors (whisky), i don't feel they were what i oredered. I changed from jack to Jameson. I believe i was over charged for my drinks since it was not what i oredered. Unfortunately i will not be returning to Birdys. Atmosphere is great, music was wonderful but i can not accept paying for drinks that i didnt enjoy.

To the bartender that tossed the bill at me - I'm a service worker, too, so I still tipped you. But hoping you or management see this - EVERYONE is working overtime to live in this city. You're not entitled to anyone's hard earned money. My friend and I were perfectly fine customers. I won't be spending a dime at Birdy's going forward.

The atmosphere saves this pace from the disgusting attitudes of the bartenders. We waited very patiently by the bar to order while the bartender (who wasn’t busy) ignored us and thought it was a better idea to be taking shots with her friends while on the clock. We waited so long that we ended up going to the other end of the bar and ordering with the kinder bartender who still had an odd attitude. Don’t go here if you’re looking for good customer service.

I don’t know if it was because I wasn’t a regular but they really weren’t nice at all from the get go. Can’t complain about the good alcohol prices but when I tried to order their birdy’s hotdog special they were quite rude. In the beginning they told us that it would be 10 minutes. Then when asked again in about fifteen minutes the guy said they weren’t going to make it. Though I see the dogs cooking on the right side of the bar and see some other patrons getting it. Should’ve gone to a different place or find some regulars to be friends with.

The bartender was rude and inconsiderate, there’s no food despite saying you can “dine in”. No atmosphere and awful service, no one offered us anything upon sitting.

The bouncer David is on an absolute power trip. Be prepared to get assaulted for no reason but existing in the bar. It’s never okay to assault someone for any reason. I hope he’s not employed anymore.

Been going there for years I loved the place cheap drinks some amazing bartenders but idk 🤷‍♂️ if it is because I’m black but I didn’t agree with how some bartenders would rudely make me tip every drink when I already tip you 10 dollars I also never had any problems ever with birdys it’s been a home for me I got 86 for my friend who was visiting buying a drink for two white girls whom asked for the drinks in first place for us to buy them. when we went to give it to them they already had men with them and then acted like we was bothering them I immediately went to security dispute the situation he came back and escorted me out with a baton stick in my face. As a black man the trauma is real and I’m hurt a place I spend time with friends and spend my good earned money could be treated so low in a second. I was humiliated

I don’t understand how it’s a cash only bar in Bushwick. And as soon as you buy a drink they want you to close out immediately. I really do not like vibes here

I recently visited Birdys with a friend, and while my friend enjoyed their drinks, I, as a non-drinker, had an unpleasant encounter with the bartender. After spending an hour at the bar, the bartender made me feel pressured to order alcohol, as if I couldn't simply socialize in a bar without drinking. When I offered to buy shots and drinks for others to appease the situation, the bartender responded with sarcasm and refused. This unwelcoming and pushy behavior left me with a negative impression and made for an overall disappointing visit. It's essential for any establishment to respect the choices of its patrons, and Birdys failed in that regard during my visit.

I would give our experience at Birdy’s a zero if possible. We arrived and were very quickly blamed for spilling liquor on the foosball table (it was there when we arrived). The bartender aggressively moved our drinks onto a ledge, and the drinks were immediately knocked onto the floor by another patron. Upon telling the same bartender what had happened, he proceeded to blame us and his solution was to kick the shards of broken glass into the corner we were standing in. Overall a horrible experience from beginning to end and I wouldn’t recommend that anyone go here at all. Probably the worst service I’ve ever received anywhere. I just can’t believe a bartender would blame paying customers for something that literally had nothing to do with them? A very terrible and bizarre experience. Our trip to Birdy’s really ruined our night. I hope you will consider hiring decent bartenders. No customer deserves to be treated like that, especially when they have done nothing wrong at all.

This bar was treating me very off hand and racist. The bartender who was male presenting and blonde, was acting like I was dumb and unknowing. I felt unsafe and bullied. Thankfully my boyfriend was there t mediate the situation, but even at that point, it was too late. The bartender was treating me like I was unknowing, uncultured and dumb, and made me feel unsafe. He tried to treat me like such but I knew I had to play that card cos he was being favored. If it weren’t those cases… I would’ve called him out but because I was a POC, I played along and left. The bartenders had an attitude, made snarky remarks and made me feel unsafe. Do not go.

RACIST! Birdys is not a safe space for black people or people of color!!! Called the cops over bringing drinks outside and put hands on my friends who are dark skin black people. Their bouncer is prejudiced as hell and their owners let it all happen!!
