Avis sur Farina's Winery & Cafe Granbury
This winery is cozy and friendly. The food is good quality and deliciously prepared. The starters are worth trying. I have had the cheese tray, hummus, and the spinach & artichoke dip. All are wonderful. The venue is just right when you are out with family and friends. You can carry on a conversation at a normal voice volume. There is a patio that probably works well for large parties. There may be other accommodations as well, idk.
This a consistently fine, reasonably priced, restaurant with prompt competent wait staff and I go there several times a month
Rylee was great! Will come back because of her great performance and attitude!
We always love it. Last time I just played around in the appetizer section….the hummus and olives, stuffed mushrooms, artichoke hearts, and bruschetta were all great. Had a nice bottle of Texas wine all for a decent price. Wife was happy with her steak and dessert. We also stayed in the little hotel upstairs and was real cool
Payton was amazing. She took great care of us and was extremely helpful
This review is for the people that doesn’t live in Granbury, TX, because I’m sure that everyone that lives here or near by, knows about this excellent Italian restaurant. The food is amazing. You have to try the lasagna, it’s been served at the restaurant since 1951 and it’s the best one I’ve tried. I also had the stuffed mushrooms and the minestrone soup. Delicious 🤤!!! The place is beautiful and the atmosphere is great. Nadia took care of me and I have to tell you, she is the best. Thank you Nadia for making me feel so good. Don’t miss it if you are ever in the area.
Thank you so much, Payton BA for the wonderful service, And for making my first date, the best first date of my life.
The white fish was amazing, as was the chicken, grapefruit beer, martini, tiramisu, creme brulee and cappuccino. Service was wonderful and the atmosphere was relaxing and lovely. Will definitely be back.
Came here for the first time to eat with a friend from out of town and we sat at the bar and had a fantastic experience with the bartender (jenilee) she helped us pick out the perfect bottle of wine with our meal and she was absolutely hilarious! It totally made our girls night out worth the drive. We will definitely be back for the service alone and will be requesting her.
Great and SO SAD! Yasmin was a 10/10 server in every respect. Friendly, efficient, and lots of personality. Now to the SAD… Farina’s has changed the crust of their pizza. It’s not good. Not crisp. Bland tasting. Too thick. It’s changed the BEST PIZZA in Granbury (actually one of the best anywhere), to a so so pizza. I won’t order again unless they go back to the old crust. We live in Granbury and what a huge loss this is. PLEASE CHANGE IT BACK!
Last time here several months back was not so good. Staff had walked out earlier that day. Service was bad and food was well below par for a place like this. This visit was a 180 turn. Excellent food, service and temperature control. Waiter Kevin (not Home Alone Kevin) was fantastic and we left a very good tip.
Elizabeth was our server and she brought out the most delightful lasagna that I have had in a long long time. I paired the dish with a delicious Italian Pinot Noir from Italy which made for a very enjoyable lunch. We sat out on the patio and watched the passersby’s. Cant recommend this restaurant enough. Make sure to get a salad with the house dressing. You’ll thank me later. So so fresh. We’re gonna be out for dinner when it warms up again. You’ll love this place.
Food was fresh and great customer service Definitely worth a try
Went to get the frozen Sangria but the machine was gone for the weekend. Was disappointed but got recommended the Sangria on the rocks so I decided to try it. BEST SANGRIA EVER! Liked it even more than the frozen. Bartending staff was so sweet and even brought us complementary garlic bread to snack on while we enjoyed our yummy drinks. 10/10 highly recommend
Fabulous experience and better food! And our waitress, Peyton, could not be improved upon. Highly recommended!!
Great service and great food. A must if you are spending time in Granbury. Margaritas were the best.
We’ve dined at Farina’s a couple of times and enjoyed it. We rented the patio for a baby shower for about 35 people. From 250 miles away, I dealt with Mel, the event coordinator for all arrangements, menu selections, contracts and such. She was very communicative and helpful. It all went off without a hitch. The patio was clean and ready for us that morning. Heather was the server assigned to us and she was so very pleasant! We forgot a few things we needed, and she accommodated each and every thing we asked of her. The apps we ordered were all amazing! Everyone enjoyed all the food. We will definitely dine there again when we visit our kids, and recommend it to anyone needing to host a small event.
Payton was excellent!! This place is our go to. Always good food with many gluten free options.
Lindzi is the BEST Bartender ever. My pizza was amazing! service was great!
We came here to celebrate our 20th anniversary since we were staying in the area. The customer service was excellent!! The food was super delish! The atmosphere was beautiful — it was a great night for us. We had the meatballs & spinach dip for apps. Atlantic Salmon & Filet Mignon for main course with sangria! We will definitely visit again.
I wish I would have gotten a few pictures but the bread, spinach dip and rosa tortellini looked so good we devoured it as soon as it came to the table. Our serve Aubrey was so sweet and attentive, the musician they had playing was great as well, if we didn’t live out of town, I would come here at least once a week! The food and atmosphere is really that great!
Excellent food and service. Full bar now! Thanks Jeni Little for the 5 star service.
Loved this place. Went two days ago and had the best meal and service! Shared a meal with a friend and plenty of food!
I came in about 1:30 feeling rough from not eating when I should have. Jewell took excellent care of me, helping me find something I could eat with little to no dairy. The salad was very fresh and the brushetta is some of the best I have had! Highly recommend it. Mostly, I wanted to should out to Jewell, thank you so very much!
Jewell is the most pleasant and professional server on the premises. She is such a wonderful attentive and friendly young woman. She is outgoing, conscientious and incredibly kind, your establishment should be counting your blessing to have her in your employ. She’s going to go far in this world, when she completes her schooling. Her work ethic and tolerance are extraordinary traits.
Stopped in here last Friday night for some live music. I wasn't planning on eating but the super nice bartender brought us out some hot bread with parm on top. It was amazing with my ice cold salty Dos Equis. Next time we are in town we will actually try the food. Can't wait to return!
My husband and I love Farinas. They food is always hot, yummy, and its reasonably priced. Especially their lunch menu, its really inexpensive & you get a half entrée and a soup/salad. Our favorite thing is the Spinach & Artichoke dip, its so yummy! Its one of our fav spots in Granbury
Upon arriving, the owner graciously gave us a tour of the beautiful 3 acre property. We were really early for check in and knew we’d probably have to return later but he offered for us to hang out in the common area and quickly made our accommodations available. I would highly recommend this location to friends and family for a wonderful quiet getaway on Lake Granbury. Chris Sullivan
I went to a Fort Worth Camera event tonight at Farina's and it was so great. The food, the wine, the staff were all very good. The place has a lot of character and the atmosphere felt welcoming. The had live music, and the place had a lot of energy. They had lots of wine to choose from and the staff were very knowledgable about their products. Will visit again!
Farina’s never disappoints…big shout out to the bartender Heather! She is always quick to greet, very attentive and always sincere. It’s always a great pleasure coming to a place and being with such genuine people!
Do not miss this gem on the square! I went with a group of friends and we had a fantastic evening. The food was wonderful - from the garlic bread and house salad (so crisp and fresh) to our entrees through to dessert. We had everything from steak to salmon to the flatbread pizza. It was all cooked and seasoned perfectly, we each loved our dish. And the peanut butter pie was the perfect treat to end the meal. And have to mention the wine! We were happy to see so many outstanding options and choose a long-time favorite to share. The experience was made even better by our delightful server, Tiffany, and the rest of the team. She had great recommendations and was able to accommodate some changes/special requests. Our water glasses were always full and things cleared from the table quickly and seamlessly. And the restaurant is spacious and beautiful. Really thoughtful touches and inviting atmosphere. You can't beat the location either, right on the square. Thank you all for such a lovely night, we will be back soon!
Payton too great care of a party of 12 tonight. Her service was awesome. Good and atmosphere were great too. I recommend the lobster ravioli.
Very accommodating for two out of towners. Jeni Little was fantastic and helped us design a wonderful vegan meal.
Have done take-out from this place for YEARS now but they have changed their menu (w/o changing it on-line) & today, I ordered a full order of chicken alfredo, something I've ordered LITERALLY once a week for 3 years. Today, the cost was $6 higher (they no longer have a lunch menu tho that's not on the website) and I get back to my office to find it's a HALF ORDER. I talked to the manager who insisted it was a full order. I had taken a pix of it, offered to send it to her, she refused. Said we'll remake the order for you. That's too little to late. I asked that next week, when I ordered a full order, they charge me for a half-order size to make it right. Nope, not going to do that. The manager hung up after essentially claiming I was trying to get "free food" from them. My law firm spends on average of $40 a week at this place. So disappointed. Maybe new management? Don't know. But be careful if you do take out. You won't necessarily get what you order.... And they don't care or listen to your complaints. So sad...
Fist off the history in this place is really cool along with the atmosphere and decor. The hostess/waitress was really cool and attend to us well. The Greek salad was perfect and the muffuletta was really spot on and I’m from Louisiana. Wine was really good too. We will be back next time in Granbury. Thank you
Lemon pasta with grilled shrimp - very good. I wish it had come with bread. I did not think to ask.
Jenny was exceptional…!!! She was professional, polite, yet fun to have as a waitress…oh, and the food and drinks were great too…!!! Thanks for the laughs Jenny…!!!
Payton is the best !!! Not only was she adorable cute and sweet. I will only come back if she is working my favorite dining shifts. !!!
Jeni was our girl! She did not disappoint!! Great service, super nice and just awesome!! Definitely a must place to go!!! Lisa
Riley was very nice and sweet. She kept checking up on my table and was very attentive. Will come again!
Payton was fantastic. She made for a memorable evening and we will be back to see her soon. A+
Every time I have been to Farina’s, the experience is great. Always quick, tasty, & a great atmosphere. Bailey was our server tonight and she was so sweet & attentive. 10/10
My mother and I were here strolling the square and were told this was the spot. It was amazing! service was incredible, our server Jeni Little made us feel at home and was so sweet. Deff will visit again
We had a birthday party celebration at Farina's and it was great! The staff, especially Jenilee, was so friendly & helpful, food was delicious and the atmosphere was beautiful. Highly recommend for an event or date night.
If you haven’t eaten at Farina’s Winery & Cafe in Granbury, what are you even doing with your life? I ordered the cheesesteak wrap, and let me tell you… it didn’t come to play. It showed up packed like it had something to prove — juicy, cheesy, perfectly messy in the best way possible. The kind of meal where you take one bite and immediately stop talking because your taste buds need a moment of silence. My mom got the cheeseburger, and I’m pretty sure she considered canceling all future meals just to commit to that burger full-time. Thick, flavorful, and big enough to make you question your life choices (in the best way). And let’s talk about Hannah — she was AMAZING. She helped us pick exactly what to order (clearly steering us in the right direction) and somehow kept our drinks filled like she had a sixth sense for empty glasses. Friendly, attentive, and just the right amount of “I got you.” Our only complaint? Our stomachs were not big enough to finish everything. Honestly devastating. We needed a bigger appetite and maybe stretchy pants. 10/10. Incredible food, incredible service, and we’ll absolutely be back — next time with reinforcements.
Absolutely amazing experience! We had the tortellini and the margarita pizza, and both were incredible and fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. You can really taste the quality in every bite. Jenny took great care of us and made the whole evening even better with her attentive and friendly service. We’ll definitely be back!
It has been a while since we dined at Farina's. We had a wonderful evening and our server, Peyton, was very attentive and truly made us feel that she happy to attend to us! Such a positive server, tasty pizza, and a lovely time - live music would have put the experience over the top.
went for dinner with my girls tonight, we got saw with rylee. Best service i’ve had at farinas! she was the sweetest girl always checked up on us and made sure food was good and we were too. definitely will be back to see her!
Great lunch spot. Split the ribeye flatbread and Italian salad. Food was delicious . The pizza had lots of meat , just the right amount of cheese and touch of banana pizza. The wine by the glass was perfect to go with the pizza. The staff was friendly.
Delicious food! We had lasagna and salmon. Our waitress, Jeni Little was amazing. She is so knowledgeable about the cocktails and wine selections. The Pinot Noir was a perfect pairing!
We ate dinner here last night & it was OUTSTANDING! The food was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!! I had the Atlantic salmon & my husband had the baked fish. The staff was super friendly & attentive. We look forward to going back again!
My friends took me here for part of my bachelorette party, and I absolutely loved the wine and the shrimp scampi. Because the wine was the best I’d ever had, I came back with my husband, and it was just as wonderful as I remembered. Both ports on the wine menu were perfect, but my personal favorite was the first one because it reminds me of candied pecans, cinnamon, and a little bit of chocolate. I got the Atlantic Salmon, which was divine. The veggies were the stars of the show in my opinion because they were so flavorful. My only note is that I wish there was a little more wine sauce on the salmon. My husband got the lobster ravioli, which was just as rich, creamy, and delicious as it looks in the photo. The spinach and artichoke stuffed mushrooms paired with our wine made my tastebuds dance. I think this was my favorite meal of 2025!
Really enjoy the beautiful bar area at Farinas in Granbury. Whether it’s just a glass of wine or couple of appetizers. It has a great atmosphere with amazing, friendly and attentive staff. Big shout out to 2 of the best Bartenders, Heather and Hannah. They are the best.
We had the best evening! Heather took the best care of us. She gave great recommendations on beer and wine and we loved the rib eye pizza she told us about! We will be back, especially to see our girl!
I have to be honest, our food (pasta dishes) were good, but not fabulous. Both my girlfriend and I love to cook, so we were a little disappointed. We both agree more basil, garlic and oregano would really enhance both dishes. I will say it was a big community celebration weekend, and they were busy. The ambience was fabulous. It’s a fun place. The best part of the evening was our server Heather. She was delightful. She was extremely busy, serving the bar, where we sat. In spite of how busy she was, we never wanted for anything, nor had to wait. She’s bubbly, obviously enjoys what she does, and provides top notch service. We’d go back and hope that Heather was there! Thank you Heather for making our first Granbury Farina’s experience so fun.
We had our wedding and reception at Farina's and it was lovely! Mel did a great job preparing us and asking all the right questions. The food was delicious and so many of our guests said they would be back to eat there. The patio and castle room was perfect for our party of about 65. This is a great place to have a wedding! We are so thankful for this place! Vernon and Janene Gray
Love Farina's! When they first opened ages ago I swore I'd never go back. It was awful! They changed owners a while back and I dared to try it again. Wow! What a difference. Delicious food, especially the lasagna and chicken piccata. Cheese bread is addictive. They're one of the few restaurants in Granbury that doesn't close on Mondays and/or other days. They're open everyday. Great lunch specials and wine Wednesday. Beautiful, welcoming environment. Service has gotten better. In the past, it was hit or miss.
Farina's Winery & Cafe is a true Granbury gem, a cozy and intimate spot that feels like a European escape without the jet lag. It's the kind of place you'll want to linger in, sipping wine and savoring every bite. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with exposed brick, soft lighting, and a charming courtyard that's perfect for a romantic evening or a relaxed get-together with friends. The food is the star of the show. The menu offers a delicious mix of Italian-inspired dishes and American classics, all executed with a touch of elegance. The Caprese sandwich is a standout, with its fresh mozzarella, juicy tomatoes, and vibrant pesto. Another must-try is the Farina's Famous Lasagna, a rich and comforting dish that's a testament to traditional Italian cooking. The generous wine list features a fantastic selection of Texas wines alongside notable international labels, with knowledgeable staff ready to help you find the perfect pairing for your meal. Beyond the food and wine, the service is impeccable—attentive but never intrusive, and genuinely welcoming. Whether you're a local or just passing through, Farina's is a culinary experience you won't forget. It's more than just a restaurant; it's a destination. If you're looking for a place that combines great food, a relaxed ambiance, and excellent service, Farina's Winery & Cafe is an absolute must-visit.
My husband and I were visiting Granbury for the first time. We went to Farina’s for dinner and received great customer service as soon as we walked in. Our waitress was Payton! She was amazing and soo sweet! Payton recommended a delicious wine and took care of us the whole time. We ordered spaghetti and baked chicken Alfredo! Everything was delicious! We will definitely be back again!
WOW!! This restaurant is always a great experience! While we were not able to enjoy their patio; the atmosphere, food and customer service still rocked! We ordered food to share and it was absolutely delicious and perfect! Highly recommend any and everything from their menu and the wine slushes are a must!
This is a great place to stop in while in Granbury. Their decor and ambiance was very fitting. The service was quick and friendly. They did forget to bring my wine out and so i did have to ask her twice, but that was the only issue. I got a steak for lunch at a incredible price. It was only a 5oz but it was more than enough for me. Which i was give more asparagus though. But seriously, that was a great deal and what makes this place a must stop considering the value. My friends tried each others food out and we all like everything. According to my friends their sangria was really good and had a great amount of alcohol. We were all stuffed by the end. Its one of the few quality restaurants open on Mondays so they should get a bonus start. We made the mistake of coming to granbury on a Monday when apparently a lot of places are not open. Glad this place cared enough about visitors to be open.
Nadia was an excellent server, very patient and attentive. Ambiance is great. Food is good, really enjoyed the tomato soup and lasagne. However, both times I've been here the filet hasn't been cooked properly. First time it was overdone and second time it was underdone. So, a bit inconsistent there, but otherwise a great spot. Decent wine list for the square.
Decided to go here to celebrate my birthday. After looking at the menu online we knew we had to try the spinach artichoke dip. I was so disappointed. I think there must have been a special on spinach, because that’s all that there was. Literally a massive amount of spinach. Yes there were a few little slivers of artichoke, but the spinach went way overboard! and it was so dry. The taste was ok, but it was all we could do to eat it. We had to spoon it on to the chips. I realize now why the other couples at the bar barely touched theirs. That being said, the bartender was simply amazing and attentive. The atmosphere was great as well. We decided to forego anything past the appetizer.
Food and service were great! I've visited twice in the summer and it was very hot inside, unsure if the AC was out but it was hard to sit and enjoy a hot meal. Worth a trip though!
Not a review of their main fare. Boss Lady and I had eaten lunch elsewhere but came in for dessert because of some other reviewers. The joint was mostly empty, so we were seated quickly. We let them know our intentions and were cool with it. She ordered the creme brule with a latte and I the tiramisu and a glass of wine. We couldn't believe that they didn't know how to make a latte. The poor server had to go online to see how to make one. Surprisingly, it was done right, albeit cold. The tiramisu wasn't half bad. Next time we're in town, we'll try food food.
Farinas is definitely a place to visit for a meal on the square. The atmosphere is great and the building is beautiful. My server Rylee was amazing she was very attentive to all her tables and was very friendly. I hope we get to have her serve us on our next visit.
Did a weekend in Granbury, cute town. Food was just average. Service was attentive. When we arrived home I noticed two bills were charged to my cc I had given our server. I contacted management and they took the second one off. Not sure how that could happen.
Nice interior in historic building. Service is poor unless you sit at the bar. Food not terrible except the raw garlic in too may dishes. Pizza is good!
Food was good. Atmosphere was fine. Service was lacking. Literally everything was wrong and waitress was not very apologetic. My salad was wrong both times it came out but I just took it the second time as it was. I added chicken to the salad and there was about half the amount of chicken on the second salad they brought out as The first one they brought out too. Which just felt intentional as if it was my fault it was wrong. Our appetizer was wrong and she never fixed it even though she said she would. One of the people at our table didn’t get her drink for over 30minutes when a few of us got our second round ordered after her first round. My daughter’s food was wrong. Server was nice but idk why nothing seemed to go right or smooth. There was 8 of us and when she split our tickets up, that wasn’t even right. Just felt like she wasn’t paying attention to what we were telling her. She didn’t even get my husbands drink order when she first came to our table; totally skipped him and left before he could mention/stop her. Just ruined the visit.
Heather the bartender is the best! She makes a great old fashioned! The creme brulee is awesome! However there are no Stakes available on the menu and the pasta is seriously lacking in a flavor. Don't get me wrong I love Granbury and I hope the best for all of our really great restaurants but we should really try harder!
This was my wife and I first time coming here. I've seen alot of people on Google maps say high remarks about the baked lasagna. My lasagna didn't taste very well. It taste like it was spoiled or had some kind of alcohol in it. My wife tried a bite of my lasagna and she said the same thing. My wife had the chicken alfredo and it was good. Both our salads was very good. We'll cone back to give them another chance, but will not order the lasagna.
My wife and I had a great time here. Walked in without reservations and only had to wait 30-45 minutes so we walked around the square. Service was good for an understaffed place. We were expecting local wines but it was all Californian, Italian, etc. Our appetizer never showed up. The food was good, nice atmosphere. Bread wasn't anything special. Definitely worth a try if you're in old town Granbury
Side pasta salad for lunch is aweful. They changed it up and is now uneatable.
Super nice staff and casual atmosphere. I did leave disappointed. Their Baked Alfredo grilled chicken dish tasted like it was something bought frozen and the sauce tasted like flour. The chicken was not fresh. Unfortunately, I ordered the spinach artichoke dip in its place and it too was just not ok. I wanted to love this place. I came for my 21st anniversary!! My husband had the grilled samon and it needed help too. All in all just disappointed.
I have very high standards for italian, and unfortunately Farina's did not meet them. I ha the bolognese, which was served with farfalle that was several minutes beyond al dente. I sat at the bar, and felt like I was part of some drama playing out between the bartender and other staff. It was difficult to ask for service, and it seemed really unprofessional to have the argument / discussion taking place ~2 feet from my seat.
Arrived for our 6:00 reservation and got seated in the bar area. After sitting for more than 5 minutes, noticed the bar tender was also the waitress for the 4 tables in the bar area. Took another 10 minutes to get our drinks and order dinner. After 20 minutes, we got our salads but no dressing for one of the salads. Very hard to flag down the busy waitress to request dressing, and had to go to the bar to request salt and pepper. The entrees come in 2 sizes, full and half. Half must be a bite because full barely filled up our 11-y-o toothpick granddaughter. The food deliverer hunted for 3 minutes to find the single crushed red pepper shaker. Terribly unimpressed with the service, and the food was certainly nothing special.
Terrible experience. I made reservations a few weeks in advance for my husbands birthday. We had to wait 20 minutes past our reservation and onces settled not one person checked on us for 40 minutes. My husband even asked someone just for bread and nothing. So disappointed!
Farina’s: Come Hungry. Leave Elderly. We had a 6:30 reservation at Farina’s. That apparently meant “stand around until 7:00 and think about your life choices.” Strike one. Once seated, the real endurance test began. It took 45 minutes to get drinks and appetizers. Not craft cocktails. Not soufflés. Basic drinks and apps. During this time, our waitress offered zero explanation—no apology, no update, no “hey, the kitchen is on fire.” Just vibes. Eventually, another waitress—clearly the MVP of the night—let us know they were having kitchen staffing issues. Helpful information. Would’ve been nice to hear that before we completed a full season of a Netflix series at the table. Dinner arrived over an hour later. So let’s recap: • Reservation: 6:30 • Food arrival: Somewhere around “why are we still here” o’clock • Exit time: 9:30 PM Three. Hours. To eat mediocre Italian food. Speaking of the food—disappointing and expensive is a bold combo. I ordered shrimp scampi and was served shrimp Alfredo. When I asked about it, I was told they “recently changed the recipe” and it’s apparently not shrimp scampi anymore. That’s an interesting strategy—changing a classic dish into a completely different dish but keeping the same name. By that logic, my Honda is now a Ferrari. Finally, when we tried to pay and escape, it took 15 more minutes just to get our cards back. At that point, I half expected them to offer us pajamas and a breakfast menu. If you’re looking for a place to: • Spend 3 hours on one meal • Be left completely in the dark by your server • Eat overpriced, underwhelming food • Order one dish and receive a totally different one Farina’s is the place for you. If not—make a reservation literally anywhere else. On a positive note, the building was really cool. It’s a shame because Granbury could have a really nice spot to gather with friends and family. But unfortunately looks like Farinas is following in the footsteps of the Granbury leadership.
Absolutely disgusting! Save yourself- we got food poisoning!! Made reservations- they said they didn’t have it so we ended up having to sit at the bar. Then we ordered a meal, the salad and bread never came. I asked for it after the entree was delivered and there were tortilla chips in the salad? The Alfredo, was so expensive for a portion that can sit in your hand. The chicken was not real- it was rubber and fatty. Also, the flatbread- is store bought! They literally just put sauce and topping on top of a bread they buy! To top it off, we all got food poisoning!!!! Please stay away!
